Anna Nicole Smith Dead At Age 39

annanicole1.JPG

RIP - November 28, 1967 - February 8, 2007

TMZ is reporting that not only did Anna Nicole Smith collapse while at the Hard Rock Cafe and Casino in Seminole, Florida, but that reports are stating that she has died.

They are calling this a “developing story” as nothing has been confirmed.

Hopefully this is just a rumor and Anna has not died. But man, would anyone be shocked?

Not to be all creepy and morbid, but I bet things that rhyme with “stain-fillers” and “farcotics” were involved. And I would also be willing to bet that some guy with the initials HKS are responsible. You would think that he would have waited until she got her millions first. Timing is everything.

UPDATE - Anna Nicole has Died

Anna Nicole’s attorney Ron Rale has released a statement that the 39 year old actress/model/diet spokesperson is dead. Despite efforts to revive her both at the hospital and in route, she was pronounced dead around 2:49pm. Anna was found unconscious in her hotel room around 2:00.

Anna had been engaged in a very public paternity battle with ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead. Birkhead was fighting for paternity tests to prove he was the father to Anna’s six-month-old daughter Dannielynn. Anna and her team of lawyers had managed to block the tests from being performed. Anna’s other child, Daniel died last September while visiting her and his baby sister in the Bahamas. His death was ruled a deadly overdose of prescription medications.

No word from Anna’s other lawyer Howard K. Stern, who also claims to be Dannielynn’s father. A claim we all in the industry refer to as “a BIG FAT LIE.” Dannielynn is reported to be in the Bahamas, hopefully far from the cuckoo-ness that was Anna Nicole’s life.

R.I.P Anna you crazy little chica!

UPDATE 2 - Anna’s lawyer has stated that she was suffering from “cold and flu” symptoms this week and had complained of having a fever last night. While not present at the time of the emergency call, Anna’s boyfriend/lawyer/Svengali-figure, Howard K. Stern, is now at Miami hospital and is being described as “overwhelmingly distraught.”

I am finding it difficult to not be cynical - Anna’s life was so full of drama it hardly seemed real. But with her untimely death and so many unanswered questions and litigations on-going, one has to wonder how any of this will be resolved. If ever.

Who will get Anna’s money? Who will take care of Anna’s infant daughter Dannielynn? Will we ever find out who Dannielynn’s real father is? Why was Anna being tended to by a nurse before her death? Will her estate still fight for the inheritance she claims she was owed from her marriage to J. Howard Marshall?

As we ponder these cosmic mysteries in final episode of Anna Nicole’s, I leave you with these released statement from all around about the passing of Anna Nicole Smith.

TrimSpa:

“Today, Anna Nicole Smith’s grief stricken and tumultuous personal life came to an end. Anna came to our Company as a customer, but she departs it as a friend. While life for Anna Nicole was not easy these past few months, she held dear her husband, Howard K. Stern, her daughter, Dannielynn Hope, her most cherished friends, beloved dogs, and finally, her work with TRIMSPA. Anna knew both the joy of giving life, and the heartache of losing a child. We pray that she is granted the peace that eluded her more recent days on earth, and that she finds comfort in the presence of her son, Daniel.”

Hugh Hefner:

“I am very saddened to learn about Anna Nicole’s passing. She was a dear friend who meant a great deal to the Playboy family and to me personally. My thoughts and prayers are with her friends and loved ones during this difficult time.”

The Marshall Family:

“Our family was shocked by the untimely death of Anna Nicole Smith. We wish to express our sympathies to her family in this difficult time. We understand that many of you will be asking questions concerning the ongoing litigation with Anna. Out of respect to her friends and family we will reserve comment on the litigation at this time. “

  1. Damn, but you’re fast.

It is all a bit sad. She is someone who very clearly got in over her head and complicated this by making bad decisions and surrounding herself with some people with bad character.

She just seemed lost and pathetic. It’s kind of pitiful all the way around.

  3. You summed it up pretty well. I think at this point, not knowing the circumstances, that she wasn’t long for this world anyway. Despite being a goof-ball, I think she genuinely was broken by the death of her son. Even crazy people can feel deeply.

She just spiraled out of control after his death. Really sad.

  5. Crazy chica, indeed. I will say this: the truth is in the toxicology report. I haven’t seen someone that smacked up since Courtney Love @ the NIN/Hole after show party I was at in 1994. Tragic, but not surprising. After all the “Entertainment Tonight” reporting from the past month, you could almost see this Amtrak derailment down the tracks.

  9. Stronger and less altered folks have been brought down by the death of a child. There aren’t enough drugs in the world to mask that.

  13. I agree with you DJ, and no disrespect to anyone who has suffered the same loss… but she definitely hasn’t been sober since her son died, either. And given that she didn’t have people around her with character, you really could almost see this coming.

  15. I’ll remember her for the hours of fun she provided during her Howard Stern Show appearances and her own reality show. Intentionally or not, she was a true entertainer.

  17. Suss, the biological children of the departed geezer were holding onto it, while Nicole was fighting to get a piece. Now it looks like the family gets to keep it all.

  19. Not to be down on the girl especially with the death of one child and the orphaning of another, but you spend much of your life trying to be like Marylyn Monroe…be careful of what you wish for.

  25. As nutty as she was in her public life, I was one that never really had anything mean to say about her. No kidding. Why? Well, it is all about the fact that she was all about love. The gal does have a huge heart. Others will debate.

but it is actually a very sad story that speaks for many more women in this country than just Ms. Victoria Lynn Hogan. A investigation of her psyche I’m sure would show imprints of abuse, neglect and other damages.

I could always see the pain that her smiles were trying to cover up. she was a driven girl. Problem, driving too fast for the roads she has never navigated before. without a map.

She needed a very serious hug.

    xo Anna…

  27. I have made fun of the woman for more than ten years, but there is nothing about any of this that isn’t sad to the bone. Some people have more going on than they can handle and that seems to be the story of her life. I was really glad for her after she lost all that weight and seemed to rally and be her lively self, but the death of her son seemed to do her in

  29. Pretty tragic story all the way around. Her reality show was a fun bit of escapist trash for a while, but I remember feeling increasingly sorry for her son. When her son died I couldn’t pay attention to her life-as-side-show at all anymore.

I wonder what that strange Howard K. Stern guy will do with himself now?

  35. who fucking cares? Anna Nicole Smith had absolutely no talent for anything but making herself into a parody of a woman. She’s no role model, she left nothing of value to the world, and she almost certainly died of drug-related causes (TRIMSPA products are nothing but vitamins and megadoses of caffeine, folks — she didn’t lose that weight because she took TRIMSPA).

Personally I’m delighted that I won’t have to see her again after the hoopla dies down, and it always does. Marilyn Monroe was a wonderful actress, not a dirty joke like ANS — there’s no comparison there.

All that will be left of her will be a sad, rich little girl and some photographs of a woman who needed plastic boobs, fake eyelashes and drugs to keep her look. She had a lovely face, but so what? There are thousands of busty blonde bimbos waiting to take her place.

There are people in this world worthy of our admiration. Good riddance, Anna Nicole Smith.

  37. Eric B. re: #15. Yeah, I watched her show on cable religiously. What a mess. But, every once in a while she would spill out some brilliant diatribe. No kidding. With the cameras rolling all the time, they would catch that one snipet that showed at least something was working upstairs.

    Anyway, I’ll give her credit.

  41. I am shocked and saddened at the loss of one of my favorite celebs. Anna Nicole was one of those tragic scenes that are so riveting…you want to look away but you just can’t. I feel so bad for her daughter to never have a mother. I hope she’s in a peaceful place. P.S. Belle I hope that if you’re someone’s mother they never wish you “good riddance”…but than again maybe they will.

  45. Sorry Belle, were those grapes a little hard to swallow or just sour? that was definitely not indifferent…

I was never a fan or non-fan of ANS, but I am a mother, sister, daughter, wicked aunt and adored wife, and my prayers are with dannielynn (and her momma and big brother) that she will be able to see the heart of ANS and know how much she was loved, regardless of paternity. I hope that her world will treat her kindly and that someone will treat her mother’s memory kindly as well.

  47. I consider “Anna Nicole” an idiot. I was just as pretty but chose to use my brains because I had some. Worked my butt off. She was an insult to every intelligent woman who doesn’t go the route of using their looks and fake body to gold dig money. I feel for her daughter, hopefully someone with half a brain (certainly no-one in her family) will raise the girl. Yeah, she was entertaining, because you couldn’t believe someone so dumb could be so famous….

  49. Reading another story on ANS I was amazed at how many “Belles” there are out there. Man, to say such things following another’s passing - I have no words.

Curious how her son dies after arriving in the Bahamas to be with her, his new sister, and Howard K. Stern, his “friend and father figure”. Now recently a paternity suit requesting testing arises over the baby. ANS and HKS fight to block the test from happening; if there was no prospect of the paternity being other than what they desire, why fight the suit? Considering that millions of dollars are still in limbo and Anna suddenly dies;looking at the common factor, between Daniel and Anna we find one Howard K. Stern. Regarding the ‘nurse’ I’ve read that she was actually simply someone hired to ‘look after’ Anna, most likely by HKS. Apparently either she failed in her job or …

So sad for the baby. Here’s hoping ANS has peace and the baby is well taken care of in life.

    Indeed, RIP chica bonita.

  57. Right on Belle. If you bleeding hearts out there are so disraught about the loss of ANS go help out some drug addicted woman that is not a celebrity. Put your money where your mouth is and donate some time or cash to this noble cause. Why should she get special attention? She was a drug addicted ex stripper that married a very old gent for his money. Did whatever it took to stay in the tabloids and made an absolute fool of herself whenever possible. She leaves no great legacy behind and her daughter will probably be better off raised by a responsible, loving person whom she will come to regard as her mother or father. Anyone can give birth, but ANS proved unworthy of caring for a child. Her departure might have been to prevent a destiny that a higher source has decided was not good enough for this new little girl. Anna Nicole Smith’s celebrity status speaks volumes about the dumbing down of this country and what little it takes to be called entertainment. So sad that the intelligent people have to put up with this crap that is dished out by the media. All ANS death ends up as, is more media fodder, which she probably would have approved of.

  59. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Another media whore bites the dust; the public fascination with this F-list celeb and her problems is absurd. If only the media and mind-numbed masses could find positive female role models and elevate them to the status enjoyed by nonentities like ANS.
Are not celebrity deaths supposed to come in threes? Perhaps Angelyne & Courtney Love will hear the call of the Reaper …and the world will brighten considerably.
