Anna Nicole: As Honored In Death As She Was In Life
As we digest the sad news of Anna Nicole Smith’s untimely passing, it is important for us to remember that in spite of how she lived her life, she was still a human being. Anna Nicole may not have been the most talented person, or the greatest mother, or the best judge of character, or even, the best dresser — but she was a human being nonetheless. A human that deserves all the dignities granted us by our creator.
It will warm your hearts to know an outpour of emotions over this tragedy is being expressed all over the internets. The range and the depth of these emotions is a moving tribute to Anna’s life. As time goes on, the true weight of the sadness we all feel will be measured in grams, ounces – even pounds for some of us.
I for one, am deeply saddened to see her go. I have taken some time to find some comments that I feel best describes people’s reactions to the news. Anna Nicole was like our very own Princess Di. A radiating beacon of sweetness and joy – minus the air of royalty. Let us revel in her memory.
freakspeely says – “God bless, Anna Nicole…and it seems to me like you lived your life three sheets to the wind.”
Ben says: “She’d do anything to put off that DNA test.” (well, SOMEBODY had to say it..)
All American Girl -”Why did they rush to save her?”
And of course, right here on our very own Glosslip, the grief-stricken speak out
The Belle-Of-The-Ball:
who fucking cares? Anna Nicole Smith had absolutely no talent for anything but making herself into a parody of a woman. She’s no role model, she left nothing of value to the world, and she almost certainly died of drug-related causes (TRIMSPA products are nothing but vitamins and megadoses of caffeine, folks — she didn’t lose that weight because she took TRIMSPA).
Personally I’m delighted that I won’t have to see her again after the hoopla dies down, and it always does. Marilyn Monroe was a wonderful actress, not a dirty joke like ANS — there’s no comparison there.
All that will be left of her will be a sad, rich little girl and some photographs of a woman who needed plastic boobs, fake eyelashes and drugs to keep her look. She had a lovely face, but so what? There are thousands of busty blonde bimbos waiting to take her place.
There are people in this world worthy of our admiration. Good riddance, Anna Nicole Smith.
Yes, and these were the more thoughtful comments. So imagine.

It’s nice to see moments like this, whatever kind of moment this is, still bring out the best in all of us.

Man, and these are gentle kisses compared to the comments I read attached to “Tori Spelling Is Fat” stories coming out of the gossipsphere.

Yes, gentle kisses indeed.
Sheesh, I feel kind of beaten down and depressed reading the level of cruelty people exhibit towards another human being. I mean sure, if she were some kind of murdering child molester, but just for being a talentless drunk?
