Please Pray For Johnny Depp’s Daughter, Lily Rose

johnnylily.JPG

British news sources are reporting that Johnny Depp’s 7-year-old daughter Lily Rose is very ill and suffering from an undisclosed sickness.  He and his partner Vanessa Paradis have been keeping a round clock vigil on her for the last 9 days.

As a firm believer in miracles and higher powers I stand strong in my feelings that prayer can do wonders.  Prayer in numbers can do even more so, so what ever your beliefs, please stop for a moment and say a kind prayer for the health and well-being of little Lily. It might be the only positive thing to ever come from a celeb gossip site.

As a mom with my own Lily, I feel especially sad to hear this and hope Lily Rose is back to being her happy little self again soon.

We’re thinking of you Lily Rose.  God Bless!

  5. Why does Johnny Depp’s daughter deserve our prayers any more than any other sick child in the world? Don’t get me wrong - I hope Lily Rose recovers and lives a long and healthy life, but where are your pleas for other sick children? As far as I’m concerned, Johnny has turned his back on America and uses our great nation only to line his pockets with millions of dollars from his inane movies. But, despite her parentage, I’ll pray for Lily Rose, and every other suffering child the world over.

  11. Hey, Forestfire…you’re an ass! I agree with Kim, how the hell do u know anything? You’re just jealous ’cause you’re not him (Johnny) and u don’t have ALLLLLL his millions of $$$$!!! His “inane movies”??? You’re worse than an ass…you’re an ass hole! He’s one of the best actors of our time!!! He can do anything…and I wish him, his daughter, and the rest of his family the best. I hope and pray Lilly Rose will be okay! Here’s to you, Johnny! Luv, Cari xxxxoooo

  15. Some people seem to be missing the point. I will pray for Lily Rose, no child should be that sick and in pain, no matter who your parents are. I’m a mother and my heart goes out to Johnny and Vanessa, who have to go through this pain enough without thoughtless people leaving cruel and un-needed comments.

  19. Easy there, Carrie. Did I say Depp wasn’t a good actor? No, I said his movies are inane. You have to admit that re-animated pirate skeletons dancing and sword-fighting is pretty silly. And what’s with the name-calling? I said I’d pray for Lily Rose, didn’t I? For this I get called an asshole? Or maybe that’s because I don’t fall down and worship at Johnny’s feet like you do. I just get a little perturbed when celebs like Depp and Madonna hop up on their high horse and move to England or France or some other bastion of “enlightenment” because they’re too good to live in a society they helped corrupt. This may come as quite a shock to you but, despite their fame and fortune, they’re no better than anybody else.

  21. Prayer will not help this child. There is no god, therefore, prayer is talking to oneself.

Either her body is strong enough to fight against this disease, or advances in medicine can prolong her life. Anway, it is an extreme difficult moment for these parents, famous or not. If they lose her, it will be the saddest events of their lives. Losing your child must be so hear wrenching. I wish they keep strong and that their union withstands this blow.

  25. Why is is that we could not stay on the subject for the sake of this baby? If you didn’t want to pray for the child, then just don’t, but send positive energy her way if you can. It couldn’t hurt. I’m happy there are other mothers out here with a heart like this. I will send LilyRose positive energy and I hope that as adults we can just shut up and just do it sometimes w/o being so freaking silly.
Get well, Lily, and any other sick child today.

  29. Um not well said. Who gives a crap who they are? I posted this because I read the story and thought Lily Rose could use some well wishes and some prayers. If you don’t want to pray, then go the FUCK away somewhere we don’t have to see your stupid comments.

If you do wish to pray, may you blessed with good karma and health to you and yours.

You other vermin can just crawl back from whence you came and hope against hope your loved one doesn’t need the kindness and concern of another you vile pieces of shit.

To the kind people, I am sure Mr. Depp and any other parent out there would appreciate the positive thoughts you are sharing. Thank you.

  39. Prayer is a positive powet. If you do ‘t believe in it. so be it. That is your choice. But this site is to wish a little girl peace and wellness. Not for you to stand on your soapbox. Stop the bickering and name calling.. Wish her well whether by prayer or a kind thoughr. This child has do ne nothing to deserve some of the trash here.

  41. Prayer is a powerful thing. If you don,t believe in it or God or the Holy Spirit, so be it– that is your choice. But remember this child with prayers or good thoughts (which is the same as a prayer in case you don’t know it). But for heaven’s sake, don’t use this site for name calling or a platform for personal opinions. May God keep you in the palm of His hands, Lily Rose.

  43. Let’s clarify something else- no one is saying Lily deserves prayer more than anyone else. This isn’t a beauty pageant. If your kid is sick and I happen to hear about it, I’ll be more than happy to pray for them, too.

What’s with all the venom? If you don’t believe in God, why do you care whether or not anyone else prays? If you’re so convinced it is a waste, move along. There’s nothing for you to see here.

  47. I agree with biransaunt and a few others. This is not a site to bicker about your own short comings of not having $$$$$ or to put down someone who has done many good deeds, nor is it a site to show off your limited use of the language with a bunch of four letter words. This is about a very sick little girl - child of anyone, just like your own and with parents who have the same day by day problems any other person has. Their occupation simply happens to be in the movie industry. I believe Johnny Depp is not only a good actor, a good person, father and husband-to-be, but also prays for children around the world. It is impossible for anyone to know if there truly is a God or not - I am an evolutionist, but will pray very hard for lily Rose and her parents just as I do for the people of Darfur, etc. to whatever entity may represent a God. And, I will pray that the nasty-mouther people on this site pick up a dictionary and not advertise themselves as so ignorant. Shame on all of them. And, I am no prude. Just literate. Health and happiness to all of you. One thing for forestfire - money does not buy happiness. Don’t bandstand - just have good thoughts for Lily Rose and all those deprived of health or basic needs.

  49. This child deserves our concern and prayers no less than any other. We should care about any child who comes to our attention, whether the attention results from seeing her as we walk down the street, from the celebrity of her father, or from any other cause. If this reminds us of other disadvantaged children, all the better. (I think we’re all agreed on this!)

As for the existence of God and the value of prayer, if there is no god, then this girl is simply an organism for whom some other organisms happen to feel some sympathy. The atheist explains such sentiments as resulting merely from genetic traits that have succeeded in replicating themselves. In this scheme there is no difference between what is and what “ought” to be. What is, is, and what dies, dies. Since this worldview allows for no ultimate standard of values, nothing of ultimate value can be lost by rejecting it.

The inner testimony we have that there’s a difference between what is and what should be is testimony to the existence of an ultimate purpose and an ultimate Purposer. Two millennia ago, a veil in a temple was torn from top to bottom to testify that the way had been made for us to come boldly to the throne of grace.

So let’s pray for the girl.

“We are happy to report that their daughter is doing much better,” Depp’s publicist, Robin Baum, said of Lily Rose, the actor’s daughter with longtime partner Vanessa Paradis.

  53. There IS a God. Only a fool has said “there is no God.”
That is a quote from the Bible, in case you are interested. Johnny Depp has made some good movies, but that does not matter. His child is what matters. Jesus said, “suffer the little children to come unto me, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.” His healing name is Jehovah Rophae in case anyone is interested. He is the great physician! Anyone who does believe in God should not demoralize the English language.

  57. From a 54 year old father of 17 and 21 year old daughters, I’m sorry but there is no “christian” Gawd as many of you so naively believe in. Dick Cheney still thrives today with physical ailments that should have put this lying piece of garbage six feet under years ago. Yet, babies, innocent children, young adults, and mature adults still succumb to the most hidious and painful diseases imaginable. Blindly patriotic soldiers still willingly allow themselves to be sacrificed for Bush’s pathetic religious ego. When will the American people wake up and realize they are being conned right out of their clothes. Surely even the most basic, common sense American can see that we are all being manipulated. Just for a second, think where we would be as a nation if all our billions of “war” resources had been spent on medical research and solutions, as opposed to “billions” of dollars and equipment that are “unaccounted for” in Iraq. When will a younger generation finally wake up and help purge the idiots that sit in their self-made White House thrones?
Baby infants of celebrities that are sick? Jeez, wake up. Don’t you care about Darfur, Somolia, Haiti, etc. WAKE UP!!!!!

  67. Anyone who has the temerity to begrudge someone who wants to pray and believe in G*d simply because they choose not to is not only an a-hole, but is also NOT kindhearted.

Kindhearted people understand the importance of kind words and thoughtful gestures, and to many people, regardless of religion, prayer is just that.

No one said get the bible out and start punching people in the face with it. It was just a simple request to say send some kind thoughts and good feelings towards a sick child. Any sick child deserves that.

Seriously, some people are so tiresome.

  69. Can’t we all just get along??? The point trying to be made is not based on faith, beliefs or politics. When being asked to send any kind of positive thoughts or “prayers” many of you jumped to the conclusion that your kindness was faith based. The power of our thoughts is very positive and that was all that was being asked. If some of you feel too put out to send some positive energy to Lily Rose or anyone else for that matter go back into your narcissistic coma. We will not be wishing you well seeing as you don’t have much compassion to begin with.

  75. OKAY.

1.) Like Rachel said, Johnny Depp moved to France because his wife lives there.

2.) I’m freaking Agnostic and I’m going to pray for her. Just because you don’t believe in God doesn’t mean you can’t send some well wishes to the kid and a prayer to whatever/whoever might be out there. Whether it’s God, Buhda, whatever.

3.) I agree with the famous people just being normal people bit. I always say “Famous people are just normal people with a bit more popularity, publicity, and money.”

4.) I’m flippin’ FOURTEEN and I’m saying more mature things than some of you are. Jeez, grow up.
