I got here cause I just read a thingy w/her on people.com saying shes happy shes comfortable in her size 12 body. I’m like no way is she size 12.. I’m size 14-16 and 5′10″ and I look like maybe I have a few pounds to lose. She’s beautiful for sure but she looks like she’s got way more body fat than I do…. I googled “how tall is Jennifer Hudson” thinking she must be 5′2″ to only be a size 12 and still appear so round… I was glad to find this page cause thats what I think too. She’s just lying. Why I don’t know.. if she truly IS comfortable in her size she should give the right one when asked.

I am 5′8″ and I can tell you she is not 140 or a size 12. At 5′8″ and weighing 145, I am a size 10. One year in college when I was totally unhealthy, I weighed 175 and still was thinner than she is. (I have photos to prove it.) She is more like 230-250.

She still has a lot of gumption, though, in her career!

i think u guys have nothing better 2 do but worry about how much celebrities weigh and who there dating so all i have 2 say is get a LIFE i think jennifer hudson is gorgeous weither shes 200 or 140 pounds,and i think when you guys see a full figured woman doing good and shes all ways in the spotlight yall say well lets find a way to bring her down or stop her shine.

I can’t believe you know so much about what 140 pounds looks like. Personally, I have always looked lighter than what I actually am and have always fooled the professional weight guessers by as much as 50 pounds. This was both when I was 120 pounds (they guessed me at 100) and 280 (they poltely guessed 180, but actually looked about 210). So the amount of muscles versus fat can make a big difference in how any weight looks. And then, again, it is hard for someone in the public eye to be honest since whatever they say will come back to haunt them. As for Kirstie Allie, when she was on Oprah in her “bikini” I am sure she lied about how much she really weighed and also lied about her top weight which had to be at least 250. OH, well, do we really care what they say?

The girl might weigh 140 lbs. after a good 2 months with the stomach flu…I am 5′ 9″, 145 lbs., and a size 6…jennifer is firmly in the double-digits, my friends.

Whatever. Jennifer Hudson is beautiful, so I don’t understand why this is even an issue.

She weighs what she weighs…and she looks good, too!

It’s possible that she could be 140lbs, actually. Someone above said that if she were “really” 140lbs and 5′9″, she’d look like a “supermodel.”

Uh, no.

The average weight for most models who are 5′9″ ranges from 110-125 lbs. Baaasically, our image of the female body has been so skewed that we think someone who’s 5′9″ and 140lbs is fat.

The recommended Body Mass Index (BMI) is between 19 and 25.

At her current weight and height, Hudson’s BMI is 21, WHICH IS COMPLETELY HEALTHY.

It’s important to note, however, that even if she DID weigh 170lbs, she’d still be within healthy parameters according to the BMI figures.

Get over it. She’s gorgeous and you’re all just too obsessed with an unattainable ideal.
