Coldplay’s Chris Martin Taunts Childhood Bully With His Fame & Wife Gwyneth Paltrow
 
Fame has a way of going to a person’s head. Just ask Coldplay frontman Chris Martin.Â
Chris admitted that he ran into a childhood classmate who taunted him and made his life unpleasant while attending a boy’s school in Sherborne, England. Chris talks about his reaction to bumping into his former tormentor:
“I bumped into a guy who used to give me hell at school. He was a bully who always said I wouldn’t make anything of myself. I had great pleasure asking what he was up to now. He wasn’t up to much. Then I turned around and said, ‘This is my wife Gwyneth.’ His face dropped and he looked really embarrassed.
“It was a proud moment. I’m not one to get my own back and look for revenge – but that was pretty sweet. I wasn’t the happiest at school. I was quite geeky. I was a bit of a swot* and just wanted to do music.”
It seems like the sensitive-artist types from the UK are frequently the target of bullying and sullen childhoods. British singer Morrissey (from the Smiths) also complained about the same thing while attending school and channeled his depressed and insular life into many of his songs.  Â
Fortunately for Chris, he doesn’t suffer from a crippling sexual identity crisis, as he clearly he likes women and is proud to show off his pretty, movie-star wife. He’s also proud of that other thing he does too;Â singing for his popular band Coldplay.Â
Fame has its privileges.

Fantastic, y’know we even hear of kids committing suicide because of bullying, so why not shame them into thinking about what they’ve done. Good on you Chris, what a killer move! “This is my wife Gwyneth!” ha ha ha!
