As for these WWE style rappers what irks me the most about the whole urban hip hop "scene" is that from the perspective of "the masses" it seems that there is this huge dark cloud over the small fraction of hip hop artists like The Last Poets, The Roots and others.. I could name others as well but as time goes on they too tend to be bending towards what sells versus what true hip hop was all about. The popular stuff that sells is about vilence and money, and that's why I compared it to the WWE. "Conscious hiphop" as it is sometimes called, can be a really beatuful thing.
