Jon Voight Fascinated By Daughter Angelina Jolie
Actor Jon Voight told the “No Spin Zone” host Bill O’Reilly that he is fascinated by his daughter Angelina Jolie.
This should come as no surprise considering the two have been estranged since 2002 when Voight made unfavorable remarks about Jolie in an interview suggesting she had “serious mental issues.”
Despite having given birth to her biological daughter Shiloh with partner Brad Pitt, adopting three children and losing her mother to cancer earlier this year, Angelina has continued to keep her father at arms lengths. Perhaps this fascination stems from the alienation, or it could be that Voight, like the rest of the world, just can’t seem to figure the gorgeous actress out.
Angelina, an Oscar-winning actress, is extremely famous for two reasons: her humanitarian work and her home-wrecker status. These two symbolic actions don’t co-exist favorably. Whether she and her partner of two years, Brad Pitt, want to admit it or not, it’s clear they forged an unmistakable bond while Brad was still married to actress Jennifer Aniston. It doesn’t matter when they consummated the act (something they both allege happened after he was separated from his wife) or before - a high profile marriage of two extremely likable celebrities was left in shambles. Symbolically it divided people into two camps. Pro-Angelina vs. Pro-Jennifer.
Then, almost miraculously and with strange coincidence, Angelina embarked on a crusade to bring awareness of the plights of the poor and down-trodden, most especially children, to the eye of world. Truly noble and kind-hearted. Almost the only possible next move of someone wanting to overhaul their image of temptress to saint. I’m not judging, I’m just saying is all.
I applaud her efforts to help children, few things are more important. But I also value the importance of honesty and staying true to your dignity. Breaking up a marriage is NOT cool any way you slice it. Shame on Brad most of all.
So back to Bill O’Reilly and Jon Voight’s fascination.
Here’s what they had to say:
Bill O’Reilly: “Now, your daughter, Angelina Jolie. You know, we checked her out. I don’t know whether you know this or not. Big investigation on her. And we found out she walks the walk, that she gives all the money, millions of dollars and this and that. She has become, I believe, the most interesting celebrity in the world. In your opinion, why?”
John Voigt: “Yes, she is fascinating. She’s fascinating to me. She’s my daughter. I’m completely fascinated with her. And I have a great admiration for all the work she does and in her humanitarian effort. I think she’s quite stunning, of course. Very attractive gal. And she, for whatever reason, she has a certain charisma.”
O’Reilly agreed, “In the acting — in the acting profession, you’ve known them all. Some people have charisma and some don’t. She obviously has it.”
Can’t disagree, Jolie is both charismatic and fascinating.
But then again, so is Tom Cruise.

Great. Who wouldn’t want her father to call her “a very attractive gal?” There’s something just so personal about that. I wonder if her desire to stay at arm’s length from her father has something to do with the fact that HE’S odd? Look at what he has to say about her: 1. She seems to be doing good humanitarian work. Yeah, well, we all know that. Any compliment’s from a fatherly perspective? 2. She’s stunning and attractive. Right. She’s a pretty object. More fatherly observations. 3. She “for whatever reason” has charisma. Watch it, Jon, don’t be too complimentary. It’ll go to her head! He has all the attachment of a teller at the bank. Have they actually been introduced? If his comments to O’Reilly are any indication, she’s smart to keep him away from her and her kids. Read between the lines. There’s something very strange about this man.

You sound totally ignorant. Before writing shit please learn your lessons and do your homeworks. And don’t you dare to write some lies like Angelina is doing humanitarian works to “overhaul” her image from temptress to saint. She has been doing that for more than 7 years now, and Brad Pitt’s divorce doesn’t have anything to do with this. Another thing: go and ask the UN and all the major humanitarian organisations and NGO’s why Angelina Jolie is not Tom Cruise for they all stated that Miss Jolie is and has always been one of their most generous donor. I just agree with you about one thing: there are pro Jolie and pro Aniston people, and obviously you’ve shown your team. But if you find Chinnifer Maniston “extremely likeable”, we Jolie fans we find her execrable. And outside the States the poor left ex wife, the next door girl, and the “true” american girl mean nothing, bullshit and one of the reasons for us to laugh at you. Jolie instead is fascinating, she is beyond any comparison to dull and lame sitcom and wannabe movie actress like Brad’s ex wife. And she’s doing actual and effective good to the world. Sorry if you can’t take that. Sorry if you cannot understand that it takes 2people to wreck a home, and that Brad Pitt wrecked his house because he could not stand to be with Maniston! For more than 2 years now you still cry and whin for homewrecking, how pathetic, but after all like idol like fan! So keep pity partying people it does worth you!

Jolie has been doing humanitarian work for a long time now. Well before she met Brad Pit. The media has decided to follow her around the world since she met pitt. Good on them for making a difference. I love the Jolie pitt’s! I wish Jenifer Aniston happiness too.

Why would anyone with a sence of dignity or integrity insult Jennifer Aniston so visiously. Do you know her? I bet if you met her you would be intimidated by her beauty but does that really matter. Does it make you feel good that a home was broken-vows were broken. Why would anyone want to humiliate Jennifer Aniston because she was betrayed? Do you enjoy some one elses pain? The past is the past..look what is happening in the NOW. It’s been 2 yrs…Brad and Angie are now with a large family, doing wonderful work with the orphans, and donating a lot of money to the charities, including aid for Katrina victims here. I wish Jennifer the best, but we can’t live in the past….no one is to blame here..life goes on.

Let me be the one to say that you got the words out of my mouth. If Jennifer Aniston ever got a clue about what dignity and integrity were she would have spared us her pity parties and she would have behaved like true classy women like Nicole Kidman. It takes 2 to wreck a home, and rather than blaming Angie for having stuck with the one she was meant to be with, Aniston’s fans should think about the reasons why Brad Pitt left his soo good and soo beautiful wife. If reducing an exceptional woman like Angelina Jolie to a homewrecker does them some good then let them be. But all their hatred and frustration can’t take away Angelina’s heart, beauty, brain and personality.

All you haters can revert to are in Angelina’s past. As once also being someone very young, I can relate to the troubles and obstacles that she has encountered in her life. I think all that she experienced helped her into becoming such a beautiful person now, as an adult.
It’s a shame that haters keep using her past against her and are in complete denial of who she is now. She’s turned out to be a great person, and is doing so much for this world, but because some have decided to think they know what really happened in BP, JA & AJ love triangle and have decided to take sides w/ JA, all good that AJ is doing is not acknowledged.
Angelina never denied her past wrong doings, nor did she ever feel the need to hide it, so go on and keep writing about it, it doesn’t change the fact of who she is now. I’m just glad that a lot of young people , whom I teach, look at Angelina as a great role model. They are all young and see how much they can relate to Angelina, and see there’s beauty that lies in everyone if you strive to become it.
