Blogs That Think

 thinkingblogger.JPG

Okay, I am a few days behind, and a bit off topic on this, but humor me as I so rarely am able to do for you ;)

My sweet pal at the Domestic Minx granted me an award called the “Thinking Blogger Award.”  I am not sure why, because of all the things I do on a constant and random basis, thinking is rarely one of them.  If it were the “Rush to Judgment Award,” or the “Impatient Proofreader Award,” or even the “Navel-Gazing Obsessively Self-Conscious Persecution Complex Will I Ever Be Good Enough Award,” then I could understand my being chosen for such outstanding achievement in achievement.

But I will take it where I can get it.  Plus, The Minx is a sexy kitten of cerebral goodness, so I am honored to even be mentioned.

The rules of this award are, A.) I link back to the original. B.) I display the award Icon and C.) I link to Five other sites who think.

Here’s the original link.  Icon’s prominently display and here are the links I like:

The Domestic Minx, and not because she chose me, but because she combines the rare qualities of being both sexy and wholesome, setting her apart in a world where those two qualities rarely exist in one compact, cute package.  Through her sublime and gifted storytelling one is transported to a world where the trials and tribulations of being a mother are softened for impact and the grey matter which fits neatly in our skulls is used as the greatest sexual organ of all.  Women are many things to many people, and the Minx shows this with flair.

Blogcritics.  It’s not just the paternal seed that spawned this site and has sheltered so many other gifted writers, it is the brainchild of my husband.  Perhaps, the most insightful and concise writer and thinker I know.  It is his ability to juggle so many different tasks and tackle so many complex problems all at once that has made this site and its vast depth of extraordinary writers a wealth of opinion and knowledge.  Not one great thinker, many great thinkers.

Dlisted- In an effort to be honest I am going to have to list MK as a great thinker in the world of celeb blogs.  He’s a prickly guy who’s hard to figure out, but he makes me laugh virtually every time I visit his site and though we aren’t “pals” I would be fooling only myself to not mention him as someone who I think has a great insight into the world of celebrities.  To many, this is a foolish pursuit full of nonsense, but fantasy and escapism can be a healthy outlet for those of us mired in our real world problems.  If you can make someone laugh, then you have truly done something.

Joy at POTP  – I link to Joy often because she tends to feel and say what I often think about the world of celebrities, and while it may seem selfish to seek those of like mind, it’s also validating and comforting to know that you are not alone in the conclusions you draw of the world around you.  She thinks, therefore I am.  Or something like that

Elen at Superstar Couples- A new site that I recently have been reading.  There aren’t that many article and content based celeb sites doing actual analysis of what happens within the celebrity drive culture.  It’s usually here’s a picture, a sentence with my opinion and that’s it.  It takes time and talent to draw conclusions and provide insight into iconic figures.  These people have entire teams of professionals spinning their image for our consumption.  If you are able to clear away the veneer and present a truth, any truth, it’s a gift.  I like her stories, plain and simple.

Pretty much, any of the links on my blogroll are there because I think they are worthy.

    Thank you Dawn.

I have a great respect for strong, smart, sexy women. That’s why I chose you for the Thinking Blogger Award.
Consistently funny and clever, your witty and incisive commentary cuts like a knife through so much of the crap that flicks up and smears our rose coloured glasses.

    Bright, brilliant, ballsy!

    Brava, Brava!!
