Avril Lavigne Proclaims “Hell Yeah, I’m Hot,” Continues Reign Of Annoyance
Avril Lavigne is on the latest cover of Blender Magazine, which as it turns out, is not in fact a torture device which she will be fed to, but instead a music mag. Why is she on the cover of a music magazine you ask? Beats me, because what she makes isn’t music, but something I like to call: a steaming pile of excrement.Â
I am assuming that the “hell yeah, I’m hot” quote came directly from Avril herself. She is well known for her self-deprecating charm and quiet modesty. She’s also known for being a raging b*tch who bleats and barks like a like a caged wolverine, which could be hot, but in her case is really annoying and makes you want to light it on fire to put it out of its misery.
While I am not privvy to the contents of the article (THANK YOU LORD) I did find this ridiculous blurb in Blender’s Editor’s Picks section for May 20, by none other than their senior Editor Mike Errico:
“Avril Lavigne, “Girlfriend”
Resolved: There is no such thing as a “Guilty Pleasure.” You either like something or you don’t. Does this song have substance, weight … importance? Will generations huddle for warmth around a postapocalyptic trash fire humming “Girlfriend,” wistful for the promise of a generation choked to near-extinction by their own political and environmental policy decisions? Oh, shut it. You won’t ruin Avril for me. Not this week, anyway.”
Talk about some feint praise. So, what this tells me is that Mr. Errico was forced to say something vaguely nice about Avril as she graces their cover, this also means Mr. Errico is a shell of a man willing to sell his soul for money, and from this day forward anything he endorses is to be treated like the ramblings of an idiot — oh he is also touched in the head.
Avril fans, her new album is shallow, immature and unlistenable. You want some female angst rock, do yourself a favor, burn your Avril and listen to Liz Phair’s Exile In Guyville.

Hi I really like your music and I love your new look. I want to be just like you. Then maybe people might like me even boys!.And my hair is blonde too. And Im trying to get the confidence like you because Im really shy. Bye From Ariel

avril is hot…and extremely talented…i do not agree with your take on her new album…it is really good…the song innocence is beautiful. her voice sounds so perfect!!! she has an amazing voice and thats why she will have a lot of success with this album…also number 7 is super great its called hot and that it is….its a sexy little number that i think should have probably been one of her first singles….but it will release as a single at some point….i hope!! go avril, you super rock!!!!!

In a word: hypocrite.
She’s turned her back on everything she used to stand for, which makes it pretty clear to me that it was always just a gimmick to sell things. Now she’s onto a new look to sell her new album since the last look with the last album didn’t sell as well. Trying to explain the change with the “I’ve grown up” line would only fly if she’d actually shown any sign that she had grown up - and one listen to her new single will tell you that she hasn’t.
I can tolerate her new music, but I’m sick to death of her hypocrisy. Her publicists are going to have a hell of a good time explaining this stunt. I wish them luck.

leave avril alone. what has she done wrong? seriously tell me. there are millions of more poeple who do cover shoots with NOTHING on, and now because avril only has a JACKET and SKIRT on, you guys are craping all over her, so seriously back off.

Oh please. Give Avril a break. What you think about her doesn’t matter much to her or to anyone who likes her. Why don’t you do something else with your time other than trying to trash someone. How would you like it if people made crude remarks on everything you do? Only truly pathetic people waste their time degrading someone who’s more talented and successful.

Come on. She is totally hot. What’s wrong with her showing a bit of girliness. It’s not like she went all out nude and starred in a porno flick or anything. Jeez guys, why the hell are you making such a big deal out of this. This is quite normal for celebs to do photo shoots with skin showing. So what’s the big deal if it’s Avril? And as for her new album, I think it’s awesome. Every musician has lovers and haters so you don’t have to make it public that YOU don’t like it. Who really gives a shit what you think about her music?

sk8ergurl_hc - - only pathetic and lonely people become famous, to friggen show off them seleves, pathetic people become celebrities, because if you look, most are airheads, drug addicts, and lameos who couldnt maintain a 9-5 job. so if you think pathetic people trash talk others, you are wrong because EVERYONE has said something negative about someone else

ps. Avril was not really topless. She said in an interview with MTV that she wore a tubetop and they just put the words over it and added a little photoshop to make it look as she was topless.
wat a slut — not all celebs are “losers” not all “losers” are celebs. True, everyone has something negative to say about someone else, but that does not mean they must publicize their thoughts about others on a public website. I’m not saying that everyone who trashtalks is pathetic, but wasting your time posting rude comments about another human being online is pretty pathetic in my mind.
