Opinions are fine… that’s what that show is all about, mildly entertaining people voicing equally entertaining points of VIEW.

Unfortunately, Rosie is like the 5-year-old kid who overhears her parents discussing current events and then, on the playground, tells the other kids what’s what. Elizabeth tries to be more “intellectual” than that but let’s face it… these people all need to be discussing fashion or movies or celebrities or recipes, etc.

I am not American; born and bred in Australia. However, the fool that runs my contry, John Howard, is President Bush’s ass-kiss lackey.. So I have to out up with much of the same crap you Americans who are sick of Bush put up with.

Alicia Silverstone: Excellent. Go team.. I completly respect her for her vegan beliefs and her idealism and she has every right to express her views whatever way she chooses. She was not nasty but in her own way, showed her political alliance.

Rosie can go a bit too far at times, but I agree with nearly everything she has said politically over the course of her time on the show.

Elisabeth is such a gorgeous woman, so sweet but I think to a certain extent, she uses that - big, butch, loud Rosie is picking on me… Pity me… Blah blah. Even the biggest conservatives can afmit to some of Bush’s flaws yet not Elisabeth! Gah!

I think we all have a right to express the way we feel…and the view is that kind of show. We tune in to see how those 4 feel about world issues (part of the show anyway). I dont see where it is right to attack anyone for their opinion if it is different than our own. I dont care if Eliziabeth is a christian white girl and I dont care what size Rosie is or who she goes to bed with. I don’t think it is fair to attack our president who is doing the best he can (who ever the man is). We only get part of the story and then it is tainted by the view of who is reporting it. We all have forgot all the threats that were made by Sadam and more like him long before 911. We only remember what is put in front of us on the news. Each has right to their opinion but rudeness is not a right and is wrong no matter where it comes from.

Why do many of the people responding here think it’s okay to resort to ad hominem attacks on Rosie (or even Elizabeth or Alicia, for that matter)? This is America, for Pete’s sake, and we have the right to voice our opinions without being called ignorant, loud, fat, idiotic, etc. This country has seen a tremendous change in the past several year — when all of a sudden it became unpatriotic to honestly voices one’s opinion. How sad.

Also, someone should explain how keeping our troops in Iraq is “supporting” them. The current administration lied to the American public about the reasons we invaded Iraq and our military men and women are paying the price.

I feel Rosie’s comments all season have been very inaccurate and extremely biased to the radical far left, which do not represent the majority of Americans, and they also seem beneath Barbara Walter’s standards. I don’t think it’s fair to call it “THE VIEW” when there is only one conservative against 3 or 4 liberals. I hope they replace Rosie with another conservative, so the discussions are actually balanced. IF they do that, I might tune back in, but if they don’t, I am deleting the show from my TIVO line up. Rosie can say she supports the troops all day long, but it is hard to believe she doesn’t understand how her comments DO offend them and demoralize them… which is not supportive. Anyone familiar with the phrase words MEAN things?

Who is it rude to snub? Is it ok to snub anyone?
People I would snub:
Holocaust denier, global warming denier, employer that used child exploitive child labor, criminals, war mongers, President Bush and other IDIOTS THAT BELIEVE THAT THIS WAR SHOULD CONTINUE. This is just to name a few. Its funny that some people think that its rude to “snub” someone just because they have a different opinion… Why else would you snub someone? If you’re passionate about your opinion and someone holds a contrary opinion that you consider to be borderline criminal then snub away. If you’re pro war or even a Republican at this point, go have your head examined then buy the book “Overthrow,” it will change your mind pretty quick.

Shame on Alicia, What she did does indeed reflect on her family, but does not necessarily reflect on her past parental upbringing. I firmly believe that she made the decision on her own, without parental approval to show us what a rude child she truly can be. There are more “controlled” ways to express your opinion. She was a guest on this show and in no way did she behave as one. Shame on you Alicia, Shame. I will pray for you.
