Did Disney Already Fire HSM’s Vanessa Hudgens For Naked Pics?
What would possess a young woman who is part of a successful Disney franchise to derail her career by allowing herself to be photographed naked? And not just topless either, Vanessa gives us the full monty.
The Post Chronicle (citing US Magazine as the source) says Disney has parted ways with Ms. Hudgens over the scandal generated from a nude photo circulating on the internet. They are also stating Disney has already replaced her role on HSM:
In light of the scandalous nude photograph recently posted on the web, Walt Disney’s decided to part ways with Hudgens and, according to reports, have even already replaced her part in ‘High School Musical”Due to the recent scandal of “High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens’ naked photo scandal, Execs at have parted ways with the star and have decided to replace her with “Cheetah Girls” star Adrienne Bailon.
Well, we don’t know if this rumor is substantiated with fact, but before I saw that headline this morning, I assumed it was a matter of time before Disney dumped Ms. Hudgens. They are a very protective of their “wholesome” image.
So what did possess Vanessa? I have two theories. Perhaps she’s so incredibly naive (and stupid), she thought no one but the taker of the photo would ever see them and therefore it was a safe, albeit ridiculous thing to do. Ms. Hudgen’s official statement would imply certainly imply this:
“This was a photo which was taken privately. It is a personal matter and it is unfortunate that this has become public.”
This was the logical PR move. Pretend they were taken in private, leave it at that and let the media sort it out. This would allow her to keep her “reputation” intact, and perhaps even garner some sympathy for having her privacy violated. Sounds great in theory, but this is Hollywood.
In this day and age, not even the sheltered and naive can be that dumb. So here’s the second theory, and the one I feel best fits the situation.
Vanessa intentionally (though probably not directly) allowed those pictures to surface so she could extract herself from her obligations to Disney. Granted High School Musical is/was a popular show among the tweens and pre-tweens, but honestly, can you blame Vanessa for wanting to distance herself as she enters adulthood. I like musicals as much as the next person, but the genre can really wear thin after while.
Whatever the fallout is from all of this, in the long run, Vanessa’s career will likely improve from this little gaff.
Naked pictures of young starlets is all the rage.
The only lingering question in all of this is WHO leaked the photo? Vanessa is supposedly dating her exceptionally effeminate HSM co-star Zac Efron. Assuming he’s gay (and who doesn’t?) then the photo must have been for someone else’s enjoyment. This all sounds like the work of some sleazy studio-exec.

She took a picture of herself, not slept around!! She’s probably a virgin for chrissakes (you REALLY think she slept with Zefron? Please). I agree with the blog writer, her career after this will rise for sure.

I think her private life should be just that. I have no desire to see the pictures, and find it tacky that a web link is provided to view them, while the contect of the blog is derogatory. All of you need to mind your own business and leave this girl alone.

She should sue the hell out of whoever uploaded that photoshopped fake shot.
I support Vanessa. What she does behind closed doors is her business. If someone made money from the photo— then they committed a crime and should be prosecuted.

I think vanessa is a really good actres.. i myself have seen t he pic of here on the web. witch is very disturbing. i still dont think they should take her out of HSM2 because without her there is no pointe to watch.. (besides the fact that Zac is in it)if they dont let her in the movie im not watching it …

First of all I think this girl has to be the dumbest thing walking? What the hell is wrong with her taking nude pics and wanting people to feel sorry for her after they came out. If I was the guy who took them I would make them public too. Doesn’t she know misery loves company? And we all know that she didn’t take them for Zac, I mean come on? Wether she did it for trying to look grown up or it was mistakenly leaked out the point is that her dumb ass got fired from a franchise that was pulling in more than 100 million dollars, if that is not stupid I don’t know what is?
