Britney Can’t Believe This Is Happening; Sane People, However, Can

britsmartwater1.jpg

I’m creating a new category here  It’s going to be called, “Um, HELLO?” and it is going to be for all those things for which a rational, sane person would look at and say, “Um, HELLO?”  This will now be the inaugural post.

Britney just cannot believe that visitation was taken from her after she’s flaunted every  rule the judge has laid out for her, with the most recent being that she is in noncompliance with the court-mandated drug testing:

During a closed-door emergency hearing Wednesday, Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon suspended Spears’ visitation rights until she complied with his full custody order, which includes parenting sessions and random drug tests. [...]

“She’s really upset,” a source close to Spears tells E! Online. “She keeps saying, ‘I can’t believe this is happening.’ It’s like she just can’t accept what’s happened.”

A second source familiar with the ongoing custody tug-of-war tells E! Online Federline was so angry when the children came back to him after their last visit with Spears two days ago he vowed to do whatever it takes to keep his ex-wife from seeing their babies again until she cleans up her act.

“She just doesn’t take parenting seriously,” the Federline insider says. “And Kevin knows it. He keeps saying he’s genuinely scared for their safety.” And not even a court-ordered monitor has changed that.

“He knows that even with monitored visits, no one can make Britney do what she doesn’t want to do,” the source adds. “She’s used to telling people what to do, pushing people out of her way. She’s a hard woman to control.”

Pushing people out of her way?  Hard to control?  Sounds like a little brat kid rather than a grown woman.  But shall we continue?britpurpleundies.jpg

Federline is also concerned about the level of paparazzi attention to Spears’ every move.

“When they were married, they had a dozen or so photographers following them around,” the Federline insider continues. “But now, she’s got this unmanageable horde around her all the time. Sometimes 50 or more people are all around her, and what kind of affect does that have on the kids? But Brit doesn’t care anymore, she just acts like it’s all so normal.”

Sounds like the old fart has some pull behind him after all.  And TMZ says that she even provided a non-working contact number:

TMZ broke the story that Britney lost visitation because she violated Commissioner Scott Gordon’s order to provide contact info to the people who were supposed to conduct the random drug tests.

We’re told Britney provided a cellphone of an ex-assistant, and the number may not have even been current. We’re also told that her lawyer told the Commish that cellphone reception in Malibu is difficult. That’s actually true, but HELLO … LANDLINE! Ring-a-ding dang, ya’ll.

It seems that she also has been returning the boys to Kevin in quite the cranky state…apparently the boys get so out of their routine when they are with mom that it takes Kevin days to get them back on any sort of normal schedule.  And if Brit is seeing them every other day…well, I can imagine how disrupting it must be.  I know that divorced parents will sometimes do that on purpose, to ‘get back’ at the other parent, but I’m not quite so sure that is happening here.  I think she truly just does not get that little kids have to have routines, stability, and continuity in their lives…all things Brit has never had use for.

What can I say that hasn’t been said before?  Britney.  Drugs.  Alcohol.  Partying.  Starbucks.  Paparazzi.  Driving aimlessly.  Bratty behavior.  Self-centeredness.  Fast food.  Would someone please get her some help?

So here’s the deal.  She’s not keeping up with her court-ordered random drug testing.  She’s not taking care of her kids like the court wants her to.  She’s being surly and catty with the judge.  And she wonders why all of this is happening?

Say it with me…um, HELLO?

  1. She is not in the land of you and me kids. Wow, it’s like one big Britney and the Real World Adventure. to be honest I truly think that her parents played a huge part in her self-destructive phase. If they had made her take on even the most mundane of tasks (or sought help when they had control)you might not see the live and up to moment dissolution of a human being taking place on the world stage. Her parents need to step in now and stop being Pus$ies. No one is benefiting (well maybe TMZ, X17, the Enquirer ummmm welllll…..) from this horrible state of affairs. How much more proof do they need that the girl is incompetent?

  3. I fully look for her to self-destruct any day now. Like in a hugely big way. Running naked down the street screaming that bugs are eating her weave or something. I’m serious. I’m not kidding.

Unfortunately I think it has to get to that point before the courts can step in and appoint someone to be her guardian…but who???

You know, at this point, and it pains me to say it…but Kevin would be the best person to fulfill that role. I don’t think anybody else is capable. Look at what Lynne and Jamie did to their oldest daughter growing up…what makes them think they’d be any better now?

  5. You know I wish kfed was capable – but his eyes tell a different story. Just call it a hunch, but I don’t think he has her best interests in mind…..I am not sure who does – if anyone has ever. This story saddens and sickens me.

Sometimes I think that if she had met someone who knew something about mental illness she would have gotten the help she so desperately needs. But too many people are blinded by the bling and $!

  7. Well, I don’t know who else it would be. Her parents have already screwed it up, she can’t keep a PA, her sister is too young (and I have my doubts about her anyway), and she fired her long-time manager. Unless the courts provided someone, I don’t know who would be capable.

  9. :( That’s why Anna Nicole Smithdom mightn’t be far. Man, someone needs to step in. I can’t imagine why she is allowed to continue with such a “close knit” family if something wasn’t fundamentally wrong:(

  11. BTW what r ur doubts about the little sis? I have my doubts too – I think they are both a product of the same situation thus would find impossible to help one another.

  13. I have doubts about Jamie Lynn because, for one, she’s sixteen. I have a child about that age and there is no way they are ready for adult responsibilities. Of course, I’ve let my child BE a child, and not thrown them into the adult world. Even for very grown-up teenagers (as I was, forced to be), they are still not capable of this. For the most part…there’s always the exception. I just don’t think Jamie Lynn is it.

And yes…she is a product of the same parents, the same household, and from what I’ve seen of her I’ve not been too impressed. I’m sure she loves her sister very much, but she really has no well to draw from to learn how to handle her.

  17. Instead of following all the buckets of shit getting emptied over her…I really start feeling sorry for her!
Something is wrong with that woman, but I doubt it is all her own fault.
She seriously needs help and not another “look-funny-the-bitch-behaves-” column!
