At Least Britney Is Carrying Her Meds In Something Besides That Ugly White Purse

But then, the white purse closes fully, and then her fave fotogs couldn’t get the money shot, could they?

X17 snapped this photo of Brit arriving today at the Beverly Hills Hotel today to attend a court-ordered parenting session with ex Kevin.  I’m not really interested in her car (isn’t she siting a bit close to the steering wheel?  I know she’s short, but wow), or her clothes, or her purse…but rather what’s IN her purse.  Check it out:

This is a pharmaceutical drug caled Provigil.  Here is some info, according to the website:

PROVIGIL is a medication to treat excessive sleepiness caused by certain sleep disorders. These sleep disorders are narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS), and shift work sleep disorder (SWSD).

PROVIGIL is indicated to improve wakefulness in patients with excessive sleepiness associated with narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome and shift work sleep disorder.

And according to another site:

Provigil is a drug that keeps you awake. It has legitimate medical uses and is used for performance enhancement by the military for pilots and soldiers in combat situations. Provigil enhances short-term memory and lets users stay awake for extended periods.

Apparently, it has also been used with some success with ADD/ADHD patients.

Hmm…is Brit trying to deal with her ADD, trying to establish a better sleep pattern, both, or something else?  At least, she seems to be attempting some sort of problem-solving technique…and anything that can help her with her obvious ADD couldn’t hurt.  It’s just a bit odd that the purse is so open, apparently held that way by her elbow, and the meds just so happen to be on top.

Apparently she started crying her eyes out during the session.  This could go either way.

  1. Britney Spears is like a modern day Hitchcock. Full of twists and turns, mystery and intrigue — and blood curdling screams of horror.

  3. LOL, D!

I bet if she went to bed at a decent hour, she probably wouldn’t need medication to keep her awake during the day. What else does she have in there? Is that a water bottle or antibiotics under that folded-up-to-look-get-your-attention Provigil ad she probably ripped out of the Reader’s Digest?

Is she required to show the co-parenting coach that she’s receiving treatment for her various disorders, syndromes, and other assorted problems, so she’s got to bring in all her “prescribed” meds?

Forget the Anna Nicole comparisons, I’m leaning more towards fat Elvis. I’ll bet she’s even got her very own Dr. Nick somewhere.

Speaking of which — with the paps documenting her every move 24/7 how/when did she go see a doctor, get diagnosed and medicated that we didn’t see? I feel so cheated! :/

Actually, I think I’m just jealous because I can’t even get vicodin from my doctor unless my arm is severed and dangling from a tendon.

  5. Well folks, looks like Provigil is also used to help treat cocaine addiction.
