What IS It With Britney, Her Car, And People’s Feet?

britdrive4.jpg

Britney Spears has run over someone else’s foot…and this time, it’s a cop!  As they say over at TMZ, ding dang!

TMZ has learned that an officer on duty at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in L.A. was trying to help Brit leave her custody hearing, when Brit rolled over her foot! The officer was one of the brave souls helping Brit maneuver through a crowd of photogs as she pulled out of the garage. In the video, broadcast live on TMZ on Oct. 26, you can hear an officer yelling at Spears to “Make a left, make a LEFT!” — but the Pumpkinmobile ding-danger went right!

Sources tell TMZ that the victim has no broken bones but is hobbling around the courthouse on crutches and has been reassigned to light duty. Just a week earlier, Spears ran over the foot of a TMZ photog in Beverly Hills.

Now, the Sheriff’s department is hopping mad, and has launched an investigation:

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ the LAPD is conducting an investigation into a traffic mishap Friday, when Britney Spears ran over an L.A. County Sheriff deputy’s foot.

We’re told the “traffic collision complaint” was filed by the Sheriff’s Department and the LAPD is conducting an “active investigation.” We’re told the LAPD is looking at the possibility of hit and run.

The incident occurred as Brit was leaving the L.A. County Courthouse after her custody hearing.

UPDATE: The LAPD tells TMZ “The LAPD is aware that Britney Spears was leaving the courthouse. We are also aware that a deputy was injured. The LAPD is unable to confirm the details on the deputy’s injury because the investigation is in its initial stage.”

I don’t know…the scene outside the courtroom any time Brit has appeared has been mass chaos, with photographers and fans and generally crazy people.  It’s probably hard to navigate through the circus.  However, when you’re driving, you need to be aware at all times, and not make stupid mistakes like turning left instead of right and running over two people’s feet in two weeks.

UPDATE:  Here is a video of the event.

  1. I don’t know if you saw the video, but she took off like a crazy person. She was slowly maneuvering her way through the crowd, but then she just took off, so fast that people were literally flying through the air trying to jump out of her way. So, while I’m sure it’s frustrating to try and drive through a crowd of people with cameras, and I sure wouldn’t want to be in her place, she basically needs to maintain her self-control and not take out her frustrations when she’s behind the wheel of her car! If it’s so bad, she could always do what some other celebrities do – hire a driver and stay behind tinted windows so the photographers can’t get any shots. I guarantee you the crowds would thin out pretty quick. The bottom line is, as so many have said before, she creates her own problems. Either that or she pissed off a voodoo witch back in Louisiana.

  3. Honestly, this girl needs a driver. No one this crazy should be allowed behind the wheel.

  5. Like I’ve said before — she should get a freakin’ driver. Even Monica Lewinsky at the height of “the scandal” had a damn driver. Britney can probably afford one, and a dark SUV with tinted windows. Oh, but then nobody could take photos of her. I can see her doing the balance scale thing “Hmm, pap frenzy with me driving vs no pap frenzy with a driver in an SUV…Alli, do I look hot in these boots or what…where’s my ciggies?”

  7. I posted the video a week or so ago but I’ll see if I can post it here too so you can see just what we’re talking about.

ABSOLUTELY Brit could afford a driver, in a black SUV with blacked-out windows…but like has been noted, you can’t get pics of her then. Disgusting. The woman is really starting to sicken me.

UPDATE: Posted. You can’t really see anything about a foot but you’ll get the general idea.
