Brad Pitt Thinks We’re All Stupid
Brad Pitt, the irrepressible do-gooder, was recently interviewed by CNN’s resident dinosaur, Larry King. Brad was discussing his recent humanitarian efforts in the 9th Ward of New Orleans. He is heading up a group which will be building 150 homes in the area after it was devastated by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Larry, who strikes me as more than a little senile, snuck in a zinger on Brad, when he asked a question about Brad getting emotionally involved with current girlfriend Angelina Jolie, while he was still married to ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. Above is video of the interview, including his snappy response to Larry. My question is, how stupid does Brad Pitt think we are?
Real, real stupid I guess.

No I don’t think he thinks we are stupid. But I think you have no self control. I’ve been in situations where I was attracted to another man at work whilst being in the tail end of a relationship with another boyfriend. I actually took a few months to really work through the relationship with the boyfriend, and move out of our flat before starting a relationship with the other man. Some people can actually control themselves and do the right thing. Not everyone is like yourself, a horny b*tch who must act on our impulses.

Oh, to clarify - been in a situation (not situations as it’s only happened to me once). I married the other guy and we are still together, 12 years later. I believe when you do the right thing in the old relationship, there is no guilt carried into the new relationship. My husband knows I would never just walk out on him. He knows I’ll always stick it out until we have really worked through our relationship.

am I the only one that thinks this man is about as appealing as a cold shower? I find him to be - well to be frank - dull. I love it when he attempts to sound like an intellectual. Anywho he is so blah, I just really don’t see why people think he is all that.
Comment by ebayer — December 5, 2007 @ 10:19 pm
I guess he forgot about all the interviews that Jolie gave promoting her movies when she talked about how they could not wait to see one another on the set of M&MS because of how well they “connected”. She went on and on about the “connection” and how she knew that he was the man for her.
Comment by Karo — December 5, 2007 @ 10:21 pm
I think you are the stupid one, cause you know nothing about this people, you were not in the marriage between Brad and Jennifer Aniston, so you don’t know what happen. She said he did not cheat on her and he said he did not cheat. Some relationship just don’t work out, people fall out of love; obviously they wanted different things in life, and he found what he wanted in life with Angie and their kids, why stay in a relationship that is not working and you are miserable just so you can please some people out there who look upon your relationship like the second coming, and who need to stop looking at celebrites to fulfill their miserable lives. Brad is happy with his life, and as for Jennifer Aniston she is happy making her movies and I hope getting on with her life as well, and as she said, she don’t want people pity. So start the hating and get a damn life already and leave this people alone.

What’s with his hat? He looks like a Robert Redford wannabe, except in an RR oldtimey movie… hokey.
Comment by kaalx — December 5, 2007 @ 10:27 pm
wow ming ,you really know how to dish out relationship advice. thank you so very much for your insight. i will sleep well tonite.
Comment by D-Bomb — December 5, 2007 @ 10:27 pm
Brad you rock, you escape a marriage that wasn’t happy to find true happiness and I say good for you and to hell with what other people think. You got to live your life for you and not other people. Keep on doing what you are doing.
Ciao

Brad sucks infected balls, he rocks nothing. He’s a two-timing snake and I don’t appreciate him continuing on with this charade of lies. Anyone who believes he waited until his relationship with Jennifer was over to pursue Angelina is a fool. A starstruck fool.
And yes ebayer, I agree, Brad’s very blah to me too. He’s no Johnny Depp.
Comment by D — December 5, 2007 @ 10:32 pm
I thank Brad for not forgetting New Orleans like the rest of this nation gladly has. I never thought I would see the day when an American city would be 80% destroyed and the response of this nation is “You deserved it.” Go back to discussing celebrity. We will rebuild our community while you do. Heck of a job, America!
Comment by doctorj — December 5, 2007 @ 10:45 pm
Okay alexanderina. “cause you know nothing about this people” and you alexanderina know nothing about this language. I believe the correct english would be “these people”,not “this people.”
stop worrying about brangelina, and go take an english class!

Yes, I totally agree they are insulting to the American people! They are so banned from so many former fans
and they keep making it worse! Idiots!
Comment by blady02 — December 6, 2007 @ 10:07 am
Brad is doing a great job. I have no idea if he thinks we’re stupid but his organization and the media sure are keeping mum on the fact that one of first recipients of a new house is a convicted scam artist.
Comment by elle — December 6, 2007 @ 10:16 am
Thank you Miss Aniston for realizing you never deserved Brad. Thanks to you pursuing your ‘movie career’, ahem, Brad could become a FATHER, and now his life is fulfilled instead of spending meaningless life with you. But because of your fake pity party Brad has to deal with this nonsense. Shame on you Aniston, was it worth it? Whatever happened to “next up is Meryl Streep”? huh? Oh I guess the MOVIE star dumped the former sitcom star again. Figures.
Comment by jenfraud — December 7, 2007 @ 9:43 am
jenfraud is a twat. stop spewing your nonsense about jen aniston. you need to move on, we all know damn well that brad cheated on jen before the marriage was legally over. stop trying to convince us that this couple is something special. angelina has the morals of a rattle snake! she is a pig. he is just stupid and everyone knows you can’t fix stupid. you sound like a moron with the constant dribble about aniston and the destruction of her marriage. you like to play the blame game… that’s right keep blaming the chic that got jolted. No wonder people can’t stand jolie fans. bunch of delusional teenagers.
Comment by K — December 11, 2007 @ 10:40 pm
You call Angelina a “pig” and say that it is her fans who have a maturity/teenager problem? Thanks, you and D. have given me more insight into the scary world of Jen supporters - many of whom Aniston HERSELF would probably want to have anything to do with.
Did you know that when Jennifer was 11 she had a painting up in the Museum of Modern Art in New York? Sorry, but she would never be friends with the legalistic, narrow-minded hags who apparently think she represents them.
Brad and Angelina are fabulous and inspiring, Aniston is great and I wish her all the best. Ming I agree with you and appreciate your comments. D and K - go get some HELP, Aniston can do without embarrassing fans like yourselves.
Comment by Sarah — December 16, 2007 @ 10:57 pm
Just for the reccord, I’m not a Jen fan. Nor am I a Brad fan, or an Angelina fan. I think they’re all self-absorbed twits.
Comment by k — December 16, 2007 @ 11:04 pm
Make that NOT want to have anything to do with! I slipped up adding the word ‘probably’ as I was trying to soften the statement just a tad. But I really and truly believe that Jennifer would NOT appreciate these accusations about Brad and Angelina at all.
Comment by Sarah — December 16, 2007 @ 11:04 pm
Hold on…that “K” up there and this “k” here writing are not the same k. I was genuinely confused for a minute trying to figure out what was going on!
That person and I are not the same. I write for Glosslip…they do not, and you can check that by clicking my name. MY name always links to Glosslip.
Plus I wouldn’t write in that style. Come on…I do have some class and some education. At least I know how to construct sentences, spell, and use capital letters.
Comment by k — December 16, 2007 @ 11:11 pm
Oh. I have to admit, though we disagreed before I was surprised at the (fake) comment above because it sounded much more deranged & out of character to your previous posts.
I have not been following glosslip for long, just checking in the commentary and found it disturbing enough to respond!
Comment by Sarah — December 16, 2007 @ 11:17 pm
Oh, no problem. I’ve been off-site for a few days due to some holiday/family issues and am trying to get caught up.
No, that wasn’t me…not something I’d say! I’ve noticed ‘k’ is being taken a lot lately, maybe I’ll have to change screen monikers.
Comment by k — December 16, 2007 @ 11:40 pm
It’s funny we came on at the exact same moment. Because believe me, I haven’t been lurking here all week!
Anyhow - glad it wasn’t you and if I visit again I’ll make sure the name links properly. Good luck getting caught up w/everything!
Comment by Sarah — December 17, 2007 @ 12:16 am
It’s science, I tell you…science! *lightning bolt*
I’m trying. I haven’t even had time to look at celeb news for a few days. Don’t be surprised to see me make a post about Madonna adopting a little orphan from Africa or that Lindsay is making a new movie where she plays twin campmates who discover they are sisters or that Brit wore a schoolgirl outfit in her latest video. Just overlook me and tell yourself, “The overdose of Ritz cracker appetizers and soynog will wear off eventually, and k will be back to her annoying self.”
See you around!
Comment by k — December 17, 2007 @ 12:47 am
Sarah, if the derogatory statements about celebrities bother you, maybe you should stop coming to celebrity blogs and find a new hobby to occupy your day. Better yet, maybe you should join the Jolie worshippers over at JustJared, however, be prepared to read alot of vile comments regarding Ms. Aniston. Get off your high horse already! Also, I find it ironic that (k) is a writer for glosslip and she voices a negative opinion on most days… yet you don’t feel the need to berate her for her opinions. Furthermore, don’t be so quick to judge the class and education of a person based on capitalization and punctuation of a comment on a celebrity thread. I’m not writing a formal letter and certainly wasn’t looking to impress (k).
Comment by K — December 17, 2007 @ 3:34 pm
First of all “K”, I did not make mention of your capitalization or punctuation - this is something that the other k brought up. I don’t think formal education necessarily means all that much one way or the other - idiotic opinions can certainly be expressed with proper grammar, in nice handwriting, etc. And some very intelligent people cannot spell, dropped out of school, etc.
In other words I could find out you have five PhD’s but that wouldn’t make me any more impressed with what you wrote.
I don’t feel the need to berate the other k because although I disagreee with her, she takes the time to respond to contrary opinions with some thought and fairness.
I will spend my time how I feel like it. But don’t worry, I only come to celebrity blogs once in a while (rarely!), because it is kind of fun. And I only responded to your post in the first place because I thought it was written by the other ‘k’…otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered.
Comment by Sarah — December 17, 2007 @ 4:21 pm
I mean, I wouldn’t have bothered because I’m not going to go around responding to all the commentaries I don’t agree with. Since ‘k’ publishes articles that show up on ‘google news’ I decided to say something.
Comment by Sarah — December 17, 2007 @ 4:37 pm
Hey, other K…Sarah and I agree to disagree, and there’s no hard feelings (at least, not on my part). Just because one doesn’t see eye to eye with someone else, doesn’t mean there must be hostility.
Sure, I voice a negative opinion about many things…that’s because there’s so much stupidity to point out in the celeb universe. Even the celebrities I like, I’ve had negative things to say about. But I’ve also had positve things to say, and I’ve written some rather insightful essays on various topics here. Where are the comments for those?
And as far as grammar…well, sorry, but this is a word-driven medium here on the internets. One is judged not only for the ideas one presents, but by the way in which one presents them. I can’t see any diplomas or certificates of guud writin’ on your wall; all I have to go on are the words typed out here. If those words appear to be ill-written, am I at fault for concluding they are, in fact, ill-written?
I’m all for l33t, and I’ve been known to break out in lolcat, but the way one presents oneself is just as important as the words one says. And sorry, but I don’t have time to sit here and look up anything you’ve written so I may conclude otherwise.
Comment by k — December 17, 2007 @ 5:13 pm
“k” - this is why I suggest you stay behind the scenes and not interact with bloggers. You don’t just defend your article but you take it a step further by becoming personal and insulting people on the thread. Seriously, if you think there is so much stupidity in the celeb universe, then why not do something more creative and fulfilling? Why pick apart celebs for a living? The bloggers come here just to see what’s new with celebs, there is a curiosity but we certainly don’t wake up each morning saying ” who should we throw under the bus today”?! You might write well, but look at what you’re writing? Look within before you start picking on another persons grammar and lecturing others on “word driven medium on the internet” blah blah blah. You sound very silly. This is a celeb blog, we’re not addressing the White House.
Comment by K — December 21, 2007 @ 10:05 am
Um, Big K, how about you shut it? I am tired of you giving us crap, stealing “k”’s identity and being a general pain in the ass.
How’s that for insulting and interacting. “k” is about as nice a celeb blogger as you will find, so bark up another tree.
Merry Christmas!
Comment by D — December 21, 2007 @ 10:19 am
D don’t get your panties in a knot. It’s apparent you can all dish it out but can’t take it in. I’ve had my own identity for quite sometime - you go by D she goes by k … why is it such a stretch that someone else might use an initial as well? I must’ve struck a nerve for you to come back swinging. I was addressing k since she was the one that addressed me. So why don’t you stick to ripping on Britney and back off. Don’t worry about defending yourself, this is the last time I come back to this site. Seriously though, reconsider your career choice. How rewarding is it to write about filthy rich celebrities that you don’t even like? There has to be a reason why you you find something wrong with everyone of them, hmmmm jealousy? How about writing for a real newspaper, becoming an author or becoming a genuine reporter? Maybe it’s because you’re talentless, that’s why.
