Celine Dion Says Goodbye To Vegas

celine1.jpgceline21.jpg
Celine Dion is about as opposite of the musical spectrum for what I call “good” music as it gets, but I give her props for being the consummate professional. Working the Vegas circuit for almost half a decade is not for the weak or mild. You have to have serious chops and ambition to work that hard. So, my hats off to Mz. Dion as she finishes her successful run in the entertainment capital of the world Las Vegas, bringing in almost $440 while performing in a special theater built just for her A New Day show at Ceasar’s palace.

Bette Midler is set to replace her with a production titled The Showgirl Must Go On. Now that I’d watch.

reneceline.jpgNow, please go back to Canada, enjoy your life, raise your son, and perhaps cut his hair.

  1. Celine Dion is a true pro and she’s so real. One of the biggest heart in show business and a singer who can REALLY sing!! And leave her son’s hair out of this. What a ridiculous comment! Do we tell you when it’s time to cut your kids or your own hair? Take a pill. And Celine is NOT returning to Canada yet! She’s now going on a world tour that will last more than a year, starting in South Africa on Feb.14, 2008 (the first concert is for the Nelson Mandela’s Children Foundation) and will take her on 5 continents!! This woman is not afraid of work!!! Check out her amazing new English album called Taking Chances and the DVD of her Vegas show, A New Day (which includes more than 5 hours of footage!!)

  5. Heh heh. Who’s got prettier “boy hair” — Cindy Crawford’s son, Kate Hudson’s son, or Celine’s son?

  7. It’s so funny…I forget which celeb mom said it (maybe Kate Hudson, not sure) who said her son didn’t want his hair cut and threw a fit. Uh, the kid in question was like three years old. HELLO? Cut the kid’s hair!

  9. Well, this sure shows what little ‘facts’ you manage to pull out, before making your atricles / comments.

It was infact Celine Dion who said her son didn’t want their hair cut. And so what? It’s long, yes. But I wouldn’t say it’s untidy, or unclean. It’s kept out of his eyes, so who is it hurting exactly?

As for saying that Celine Dions music isn’t good. Please, little bit in denial perhaps? Celine is an amazing singer / performer. People are always wanting to work with her. I seem to notice that most of your articles do nothing but bitch at the celebs you’re writing about.

How about giving it a rest, just for once? Please? or not?
