Is Amy Winehouse Facing Serious Jail Time For Alleged Trial-Fixing?
Flaming marshmallows on a stick, has this girl fried ALL her brain cells?
News is now emerging that Amy Winehouse, singer and druggie extraordinaire, is being investigated on charges of allegedly trying to fix the upcoming trial concerning her husband, Blake Whatever-Whatever. This report comes from News Of The World (considering they’re like the British National Enquirer, you can take it FWIW, although other reputable news sources have reported it as well):
Amy has been told to present herself to detectives for questioning this week. She is likely to be quizzed under caution.
A police source said: “This is a very significant development in the investigation.”
The distraught diva will be finger-printed and required to give DNA samples because police believe they could link her to crucial documents at the heart of their investigation into an alleged conspiracy to pervert the course of justice—a crime that can carry a LIFE sentence.
If she fails to show up she faces the humiliation of a raid on her new home in Bow, east London, and formal arrest.
If you remember, Blake is in the hokey pokey because of a barfight that happened last June, where he beat up a man who then needed metal plates in his face. Later, Blake and his buddies tried to offer him US $400,000+ to shut up about the whole thing, plus an extra US $200,000 to fly to Spain and hide out until the trial was over. Now, where do you think Blake, a record company assistant (I think, not totally sure what he does for a living other than breathe and pork Amy), would come up with this sort of dough?
A source said: “When police received their initial information the inquiry centred on Blake, his friend Brown and the original victim in the case. But after seizing a number of documents, it seems there is forensic evidence that may tie Amy directly to the plot.
“When you think about it, as soon as the figure of £200,000 emerged, the finger of suspicion started to point in her direction. How could Blake, who does precious little for a living, be expected to come up with that kind of money?
“And the fact officers also visited the offices of her accountants—a respected firm who’ve handled Amy’s books for years and represent quite a few musicians—shows that they want to be able to show exactly where her money goes and to whom. They want to account for every penny.”
It is believed that substantial sums of cash-at least £5,000-were paid out before the alleged plot was discovered.
Amy, for her part, is horribly upset and has threatened suicide if it should come to a lengthy jail term. She apparently made a suicide pact with Blake, but there are those who say that jail has actually helped him:
As the troubled star faces the prospect of a tough police grilling over the alleged £200,000 plot to fix husband Blake Fielder-Civil’s assault trial, a close friend revealed: “Amy’s had her problems but she’s really terrified this time. She’s teetering on the brink.
“She’s already hatched a suicide pact with Blake. If they’re both handed lengthy jail sentences she’s determined they’ll end it together rather than face years apart.
“She can’t live without Blake. Her family are worried sick.” [...]Â
Ironically a close friend insisted that life behind bars in Pentonville had been GOOD for Blake.
The source said: “It’s meant that he’s gone cold turkey, kicked the drugs and is thriving without the distractions of his bizarre life with Amy.
“But she’s not tough enough to handle that. She’s incredibly fragile at the moment and there’s a good chance that this could finish her off. She’s convinced that jail will kill her.
She’s still battling crack and heroin and is just not strong enough to tackle prison life. She’s seen Blake in there over the past few weeks and knows she couldn’t cope with that.
“The police know this too and they’re handling her as sensitively as they can. But there will come a point when she has to face the music like anyone else.”
So it’s come to this. If reports are to be believed (and this isn’t the only place I’ve read where it is said that Blake is cleaning up behind bars while his wife is falling apart), it’s yet another case where a loser husband is quite possibly turning out to be the more likely candidate for changing their life (coughKFedcough), while his wife slides slowly into a haze (do I really have to cough again? Coz I will if I have to, I gots a cold).
Amy Winehouse (who has taken to wearing a rosary in recent photos) is arguably one of the most talented singers to come down the way in quite a while. But she’s throwing it all away, and apparently nobody is stepping up. As long as she brings in the money, people are quite happy to let her go on as she is. But what do you want to bet that if this police investigation takes a dark turn, the hangers-on and sycophants and others who are there to make money whoring her out to the public start emptying out faster than the little white bags in her trunk? I look to wake up one day to the news that Amy has seriously tried to commit suicide…or worse, that she’s succeeded.
Hope you’re taking notes, kids. This is your brain; this is your brain on drugs. Any questions?

If it’s not Britney it’s Amy. Why do these people want to throw away their lives? The world has gone to hell in a handbasket.
Glad to see you around K, I think the natives were getting ready to revolt.

Ha! Revolt because me and my opinions returned, I’d wager!
I’m still around…very round in places.
Between the holidays, relatives, and a rather nasty cold, I’m about ready to stuff my head in a bowl of eggnog and start sniffing. I’m so full of Christmas cheer I could just bust out in candy canes. Where’s Clark Griswold when I need him?

Clark Griswold! Ha! That’s a favorite around here. Especially when putting up the lights. We aspire to all be a little Clark like

A lot of what you’ve written here is purely based on assumptions, hearsay and whatifs.
