Jamie Lynn Spears, 16, Pregnant

And is apparently so proud of her friggin’ self she’s telling her whole story to Ok! Magazine. Wow, that Spears family is full of surprises and by surprises I mean sperm. Jeebus, my kid watches Zoey 101 and while Jamie Lynn is hardly some kind of world-class chemist, I thought she was smart enough to wait until she was 18, perhaps married, graduated from high school before injecting her genetically enhanced ovaries with male DNA.

This disgusts me. The whole Spears family are a bunch of crazed loons who are single-handedly destroying the very fabric of this country. Nickelodeon, the creators of Jamie-Lynn’s show issued this statement:

“We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

I hear Nickelodeon is thinking of changing the name of the show to Biology 101, clearly not a class one of the Spear’s girls ever attended.

The baby-daddy for Jamie’s unborn child is her long-time boyfriend Casey Aldridge. They met at church. Really? Ok. What is it with these Spears women? Are they some sort of super-human race of semi-talented fertile aliens sent to repopulate the earth.

There are so many things wrong with this whole story, and you have NO IDEA the restraint I am using.

And spare me your lectures about her being a good person for keeping her baby and being responsible and all other manner of horsecrap. The common-sense cat is out of the bag, and all I can say is the Spears trainwreck has now extended beyond the ratted-weaved wonder. Great job Britney, what a fine role model you’ve been for your little sister.

  1. Jamie Lynn has every opportunity to be a better mother, one can only hope she has gleaned at least ONE thing not to do from her older sister.

I saw that about Lynn and all I can say is, Lynn is starting to make Dina Lohan look like a good mom. Although I am sure when Lindsay got pregnant (and I am sure she’s been at least once) she gave her some less “country” advice. Don’t get me wrong, I am not advocating Jamie not have her baby, but so far, getting pregnant and then sharing it with OK! tells me more than I need to know about her common sense.

This really makes me sad and digusted. Sheesh, what do I say to my daughter who looks up to these nitwits?

  3. Although Britney is not a good role model, at least she waited until she was old enough, and married. Which is “traditionally” speaking, more acceptable.
However, age does not determine how good a parent someone will be, so let’s hope Jamie takes appropriate responsibility.

On a cynical note, Jamie is just one among way too many teens who: 1. Engage in adult relationships far too young and, 2: Engage in them irresponsibly, without maturity or decency.
I am 19, and from my vantage point my generation is fairly stupid and it gets worse the younger they get.

On a good note! We outgrew (for the most part) the conservative, religiously dictated phase of our culture. Let’s hope we grow out of the promiscuous, ditz phase too.

(I stand by my, ‘not blaming distant figures for our problems’ though. As long as people equip their children with a good set of morals and the intelligence to think on their own, hopefully they’ll be ok.)

    Cheerio

  5. What a day for my internets to go crazy! Jamie Lynn, Amy, Lily…it’s like the universe was waiting for me to be offline so it could unleash the big stories!

Oh, btw, anyone who says they didn’t see this coming from a mile away is a liar. My own son called this one, and he is about as observant as a cardboard box.
