Kim Kardashian’s Not Latching Onto An Athlete - It’s The Other Way Around

Going from memory, I couldn’t take even an educated stab in the dark as to how or why Kim Kardashian became a celebrity. Closing my eyes and guessing, I’d assume … failed reality star trying to stay in the spot light.
Wait… daughter of O.J. Simpson’s late best friend? Wow, I was way off. Well, maybe I shouldn’t be too hard on myself. After all, she does have a reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which — judging by the title — is a story of how the Kardashian family goes on a morning family jog.
She might be most known for a sex tape when she was with rapper Ray J for [checks total running time of video ... still checking ... hold on, this may take a while]
And we’re back. Where was I? The Ohio State Buckeyes had trouble scoring in the second quarter when LSU… wait, wrong website. Ah yes. Gossip!
Kardashian’s official website keeps track of her own news and rumors, so you don’t have to go to those irresponsible tabloids to stay abreast of her antics. News of Kardashian is coming soon, however, once she does something like eat a soft pretzel at a Raiders game.
But why would she be at a Raiders game? After all, she’s engaged to New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush. That would give the wrong impression, wouldn’t it?
We can’t really speculate if Bush and Kardashian getting engaged is some kind of publicity stunt, so we’ll just leave them be and hope the best. Just kidding. SPECULATION TIME!
So, the sex tape was made sometime in ‘04 or ‘05. Those were Bush’s junior and senior seasons with USC. The promising star made the highlight reels featuring acrobatic feats, exhilarating moments, and lots of scoring. And then there’s Reggie Bush, who was also playing pretty good football too.
Bush won the Heisman trophy in 2005, the year Kardashian ended her relationship with Ray “You Can Call Me” J. Since then, well, it’s been rough going.
At some point in February, Kardashian sued Vivid Studios for ruining lonely men everywhere’s fun by trying to halt distribution of her sex tape. A month before that, Yahoo! Sports published an investigative look into potential money, goods, and services given to Bush and his family during his collegiate playing days, a big no-no.
A year after that, they were rumored to be dating. Which brings us to January 2008, and they’re in wuv.
Kardashian’s reality show on E! might be doing well, but Bush himself is struggling in his own profession. After being drafted second overall by the New Orleans saints (a shock at the time that he wasn’t taken first), his college dominance hasn’t translated to the pro level, and his Subway commercials with Jared just aren’t cuttin’ it.
Unlike Jessica Simpson trying to latch onto rising NFL star Tony Romo, perhaps Kardashian isn’t the one trying to latch onto a famous person. Maybe it’s the other way around.
What’s that? Bush is in the third year of a 6-year, $54 million contract? Okay, he’ll be fine. Maybe he saw the demo tape and wanted in on some of that.

I didn’t even use Reggie Bush in either of my fantasy leagues.
But can you imagine the name if they get married? Kim Kardashian Bush. I’ll let y’all come up with your own jokes.

I like Kim and Reggie together. Think they’re a cute couple. Big reason why I’m tunning into E! when the 2nd season of her show kicks off on March 9th. Heard there will be some clips of him in it. Hope so!
