Amy Winehouse Reports To Rehab, YES, YES, YES!
Just a brief update, as this is turning in an Amy Winhouse splog. The Sun is reporting Amy has finally checked into rehab.

The shamed singer left her East London home this afternoon in a blacked-out Mercedes and headed to the Edward House private rehabilitation clinic in North West London.
Her relocation comes on the same day The Sun exposed a shocking video of her taking a cocktail of drugs.
Earlier in the day her dad, MITCH, arrived at the singer’s home to offer support. He later followed Amy to rehab.
Well thank heaven her parents have finally exerted some control over Amy’s life. I remain cautiously optimistic about her recovery. As we all know, rehab did wonders for Lindsay and Britney. Fortunately, Amy’s British. The British seem to be slightly less retarded than we Americans are.
I’m not hatin’, just sayin is all.
UPDATE: Amy is NOT in rehab. People is reporting Amy was at a regularly scheduled doctor’s appointment and she is NOT in rehab. Here’s what her spokeho said:
“Amy is not in rehab,” says the rep. “She was seeing a doctor who she regularly sees as part of her ongoing treatment. It was a regular appointment which she attends all the time. She has not checked in overnight.”
The article went on to quote a friend of Amy’s stating she clearly needs help, and hopes the video (of her smoking crack) will be the impetus:
“It’s really sad. Everyone knows she needs help – even she knows she needs help,” a music-business friend of Winehouse’s told PEOPLE Tuesday. “The video is horrible but I hope it forces her to do something.”
Let me be the first to go on record as saying Amy is a HUGE DUMBASS for not getting long-term professional help. Maybe the death of Heath Ledger will wake some of these dipsh*ts up!

I don’t know about that…the British have given us Pete Doherty, after all.
I hope she can pull it together and STAY in rehab this time. She’s got this shot, and it very well may be her last. She can salvage what is left of her career if she makes an effort, but more importantly she can save her life if she shapes up NOW.
Of course, Brit and Lindsay went to Promises rehab, which is one of the worst places you can go. Lindsay seems to be doing okay now, though. I agree, though, that Brit’s parents could take a big lesson from Amy’s dad. DO SOMETHING.
