You Know Who We Haven’t Heard From In This Britney Mess?
We’ve heard from her parents, her brother, her boyfriend, her “manager”, her “cousin”, her lawyers, her parents’ lawyers, and London the dog, but do you know who we haven’t really heard from in all this drama?
That’s right…babydaddy Kevin Federline. We’ve heard some second-hand information concerning his thoughts on the situation:
Kevin Federline is “worried” about Britney Spears and feels that the psychiatric hospital is the best place for her right now, a source tells PEOPLE.
Federline “doesn’t want her to get out until she’s made progress,” the source close to Federline says. “This is obviously going to help her in the end – later, much later.”
The source adds: “He’s worried. … He doesn’t even know what’s going to happen next.”
Federline, 29, was not directly involved in the latest events, “but he was aware of what was happening,” says another source, a friend of Federline’s.
And we’ve learned what he wants to happen:
“Kevin legitimately wants Britney to get better. He wants her to be in their sons’ lives. He wants them to have a loving relationship. He wants her to get healthy so she can be the mother they need and deserve,” says the friend.
But we haven’t heard a peep out of Kevin himself.
And you know what? That’s refreshing, that there is someone who isn’t running their yapper about Britney. I mean, don’t get me wrong…Kevin definitely has his faults, but there are things he is doing totally right. He’s keeping the babies out of the spotlight and doing his job as a dad.  My theory on him is that sudden fame made him go a little crazy, and he made a series of bad decisions (starting with leaving Shar and getting involved with Brit to start with). Personally, I think in many ways Kevin is more mature than Brit (taking the mental illness quotient out of it). So, for the hat trick today, and I never thought I’d be doing this, but I’m giving out one more Breath Of Fresh Air award.
I need to lie down.

Yes, I think we all may have jumped to somewhat inaccurate conclusions about Kevin. I hope the air remains fresh for him for a good long time.

I agree with you. Kevin has taken his responsibilities seriously with these babies. Remember their birthdays when he had a family birthday party for the boys while Britney was partying in Vegas? and it is so refreshing not to see them paraded around all day long in the backseat of her car crying their little eyes out from lack of food and sleep.
Kevin is to be applauded for trying to give them a regular schedule and a home life. I wonder, now, if the text message that she was filing for divorce from Britney was one of her manic episodes? People like to say Kevin is in it for the money, but if he was all he had to do was sell his story of life with Britney and pimp the kids out to OK Magazine for a photo shoot….something he has not done.

he has pimped the children out for a life and style, i think that is the name of the mag, magazine article. it had pictures of him with the kids along with his mom. it was a couple of months ago. i am not a fan of his, but i agree he has stepped up here, while his x wife has been spiraling.

There is nothing to say that those snapshots in Life&Style were not sold to them by someone else. We don’t know that Kevin sold them photos.
And one small set of photographs of the boys at a family party, at Kevin’s home, versus months (in SP’s case, years) of almost continual paparazzi hounding and life endangerment across two coasts.
Hmm.

One of the news agencies — I think X-17 took video of him on his deck in a parka smoking a cigarette and having a long serious phone conversation. They are relentless in trying to get pictures of the boys. The fact they have failed speaks volumns to Kevin’s maturity.
BTW, someone posted on TMZ that Britney’s new, unreleased single is suddenly available for download at X-17. Any bets how they got it?

I thought “Break The Ice” was from “Blackout”?
Heck, I don’t know. I haven’t paid that much attention to her CD, and from what I do remember there was more than one song with “Ice” in the title.
I read an article the other day talking about X17…I’ll have to hunt it down tomorrow. Is it bad that I’m still up at almost 1:30AM ET thinking of stories I’m going to write tomorrow?

I have to say I’ve been impressed with Kevin. His ex Shar has had nice words to say about him to the press and describes him as being a good father. Britney’s filthy rich, but it doesn’t mean that the only motives he has for pursuing custody of his kids are about money. I think any parent in this situation, who has their sanity intact, would pursue it it the way he has. It’s only natural, you want to protect your kids.

Maybe the Britney Kevin met and the Britney Kevin lived with were two different people? I (unfortunately) happened to see one episode of “Chaotic” and I think maybe he did get caught up in the whirlwind that is Britney. The show I saw (and the entire series, from what I’ve read) was basically Britney saying “look what a crazy, wild girl I am!”
I, for one, believe her downfall began during the “lost weekend” in Vegas during the 55-hour marriage fiasco. It seemed to start going downhill after that.
Despite all the crap he pulled, Shar Jackson has never had a bad word to say about him. My guess is that whatever (or whomever) Britney wants, Britney gets and that includes married (or in-a-committed-relationship as I believe the case was) back-up dancers.

Had the misfortune of watching some of chaotic and it was clear from the get go what he was after. Even her body guards could see it - and there was footage of him lying to BS about his relationship w/ shar jackson.
The fact that Shar has not said anything negative about him is a testament ONLY to her maturity and love for their children. A good mom would never slag off their dad - and would do what she could to foster a friendship to facilitate custody issues.
Maybe I’m wrong but this is a guy who still doesn’t work and shows serious narcissistic characteristics in every interview he has given. Who knows….maybe he has grown up but I personally doubt it.

I was involved (indirectly) in a similar situation several years back, and it turned out that the man in question really did change after a situation similar to Kevin and Britney’s (only take away the mental illness angle and add a drugs/promiscuity angle).
So who really knows? I really want to believe he has changed. And he is working…he’s got some sort of recurring role on a TV show, and I think I read somewhere that he’s been trying to do some producing work. I mean, I know it isn’t a REAL job, but…
But even if he turns out to really be a lying schmuck, he is at least treating those boys right and providing a safe home for them.

Notice something enlightening today? A restraining order against Sam and suddenly not once single leak about what is going on inside UCLA with Britney.
Anyone stil have any doubts that Sam has been the source of the leaks about Britney? Ties in nicely with the deposition he went through and questioning about being the man dropping the dime on the media to let them know when Britney was going out and where to find her.
