Britney Spears Sees Boys For First Time In Over Six Weeks

britsean.jpg
This is great news, and I for one am happy to hear it. As k wrote earlier, there were rumors circulating Britney Spears was close to seeing her sons, Sean Preston, age 2, and Jayden James, age 1.

People is reporting the mother and child reunion took place today, and they were allowed to visit with each other for three hours. The visit was supervised of course with Britney’s psychiatrist, father Jamie and Kevin Federline’s bodyguard present, but hey, it’s baby steps we are looking for at this point. Here’s more details from People.

After lawyers for Spears and Kevin Federline reached a visitation agreement Friday, the pop star saw her children Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, for the first time since Jan. 3.

The boys left Federline’s Tarzana house Saturday morning – put in their car seats by their father, according to photographers – and were driven by Federline’s bodyguard to Spears’s Studio City home.

A source involved in the case says, “The real hero was [Spears's father] Jamie. He has taken charge, and she has visitation again.”

As k and I stated from the very beginning, Britney’s dad Jamie has taken a very “no b.s.” (pun not intended) approach to helping his daughter and so far he’s been a very positive influence in her life. If this is the sign of what’s to come without Sam Lufti in her life, what more needs to be said about the character of that buttplow? That’s right, nothing. He should just dry up and blow away. Bye, bye Osmarmy.

K will likely be all over details as they emerge. I’m merely filling in for the one-lettered wonder!

  1. VERY glad to see this. Obviously, there were huge problems not apparent to the public at large for the court to take such a huge step as prohibiting visitation…which, of course, means that there has been huge steps in the right direction for visitation, however restricted, to be reinstated.

Hopefully the new and improved properly medicated Britney (hereafter to be known as Brit 2.1) will realize that her kids are not paparazzi tools, that they need things like order and consistency, and that court orders MUST be followed.

And thanks for covering for me…as proof that we are real people and do have real lives, I’ve had quite a buy day!

  3. I read this wouldn’t have happened without her dad really stepping up on her behalf.

Hopefully she appreciates this, but even if she doesn’t, I hope the conservatorship stays in place for the foreseeable future and her father remains actively involved in her life.

This is a good first step. With any luck the Federal judge will send Lutfi and all his friends packing on Monday and rule in favor of what is best for Britney… fingers crossed…

  5. Drugged, and mugged with Psych med’s. The new icepick in the brain (lobotomy). The ACLU should be all over this. Britney’s psychiatrist poisoned her with psych med’s through tricking Britney’s care taker Sam to medicate Britney on doctors orders with some medication poisons. Then the hospital psychiatrists, Britney’s family, and the courts used Britney’s mental impairments caused by their poisoning of her to strip Britney of all her civil rights. Just review the videos, and other records made at the time.

“It would be torture to give a powerful anti-psychotic drug to somebody who isn’t even mentally ill. … But here, it’s happening on U.S. soil” (ACLU attorney Ahilan Arulanantham)

If the Federal court lets this outrageous violation of Britney’s civil rights stand. The court will be sanctioning the drugging, kidnapping, imprisonment, poisoning, torture, and seizure of property, assets, and personage of any US citizen by conspiracy’s of psychiatrists, family, or others.

Based, solely on the highly subjective opinion, and pseudo-science of biased unscrupulous psychiatrists. In concert with other conspirators. And this could happened to anyone. Especially anyone seeking mental health care. Or who had previously sought, or received mental health care. This is so unconstitutional it stinks.

  7. Thanks again, Dr. Lutfi, we heard you the first time.

I’m with rappy — I hope the conservatorship stays in place for a very long time. Bipolar Disorder isn’t something that “goes away.” If you are bipolar, you will ALWAYS be bipolar. It can be controlled by medication, but you’ve got to take the meds…FOREVER.

I think it’s only now becoming clear how unstable she was (and still is, to a certain extent).

It is going to take many, many months for her to get back to some semblance of normalcy, and the most important factor in her treatment is that SHE realize how necessary it is, and that SHE continually work towards staying well. I hope there will be very few relapses, but I think a good indication for everyone will be the 3am shopping excursions, and someone will step up and intervene again.

Gazing in my crystal ball I believe that when she reaches a certain level of wellness and maturity, we can all look forward to:
    1) the inevitable book deal (”Britney Spears, My Journey”)
    leading to:
    2) the compulsory chat with Oprah
    followed by:
    3) the obligatory Lifetime TV movie (starring Shiloh Jolie-Pitt as the young Britney Spears)
    and finally:
    4) the requisite public speaking engagements and motivational seminars.

If she plays her cards right, her illness has the potential to make her more money than her singing ever did! (and I say that only halfway in jest…)

  9. Seriously, comment #3 may possibly be a Sam Lufti plant, apologist or an insane person. Option four is a Scientologist, but that’s just because I am paranoid.

I agree we need Britney’s dad to commit to looking out for her forever. Maybe when Britney is older, wiser and more mature she will have the common sense to not think she doesn’t need her meds, but Crazymom is right, bi-polar is forever.

I got my fingers crossed for you Britney.

    And Sam, go F*CK OFF.

  11. Bi-polar is indeed forever. People would be amazed how many people with the disease are down and out and homeless because the disease takes over and so many don’t realize they have to take their meds.

The fact $60 - $80 million dollars has evaporated in a short time from Britney’s accounts shouts loudly that she requires a caretaker for her and her money…. I was marveling the other day she hasn’t purchased a new car in what — a month??? That alone is some sort of record for her.

I’m still curious about the $250,000 she was reportedly gave to Adnan to rush his divorce, is that where HIS new mercedes came from?

Reading about the dinner last night as well as the dinner a week ago she is far from being ready to be turned loose, the accounts of both dinners is pretty clearly the same… she leaves the table frequently, for bathroom and cigarette breaks, seems out of it and grows moody during the evening.

The dinner report from a week ago said she barely touched her dinner and chowed down on all the deserts… that jives with the reported shopping trip to Ralphs where here dad bought a truck load of sweet treats.. I wish someone would whisper in her fathers ear to bring in a nutritionist along with the shrink, sweets is not going to do her any long-term good in getting her stablilized.

It is interesting how people who have addictions to drugs and alcohol often have cravings for sweets when the other crutches are removed.

  13. Basically…so what? The kids won’t be stunted or anything by not being with her. If so, the what about the millions of kids who are denied ANY visitation by their FATHERS? Liberals have to play by the same rules. If Britney’s two kids are in any way harmed by not seeing their mom for six weeks, the they are similarly harmed by not seeing their dad also. You cannot have it both ways.

  15. What does liberal or conservative have to do with anything? Seriously. Because our political views do NOT come into play in this article.

For the record (even though I didn’t write this), I’d say the same thing if it were a father being denied visitation. However, the reasons she was denied visitation were due to medical and personal issues that needed to be addressed in her life…she is in the process of taking care of them and so visitation is slowly being granted.

And also for the record, this site has been very outspoken in allowing ANY parent visitation that shows themselves to be responsible and safe. We were one of the few (possibly only) site who said that Alec Baldwin wasn’t the monster the media was trying to make him out to be back when that voicemail was “suspiciously” leaked.

Besides, this isn’t a discussion of parental visitation overall. This is a specific discussion of a specific case.
