Is The Church Of Scientology Holding Children Hostage?

I received an “anonymous” tip with some disturbing accounts from inside the Church of Scientology’s Flag Land Base Center in Clearwater, Florida. This is where the Fort Harrison Hotel is, and many overseas Scientologists come here to take training courses and to work. I saw some information that would indicate the children of Scientologists are being held without their passports, visas or any kind of supporting documentation which states their legal status to be in this country. These children are said to be forced into doing unpaid labor for the CoS centers in Florida and are being held captive while their parents are either shipped overseas or working at any of the various Scientology centers around the world.

In light of the nature of these allegations, I felt it necessary to make this tip known out of concern for any children who may be in harm’s way. I have been told that the authorities have been contacted. Unfortunately, the Clearwater police department has a reputation of looking the other way in allegations stemming from illegal or abusive behavior from the CoS, so it’s important to recommend a third party look into these matters. Please remember, these are “allegations” and at this point, and we must allow the authorities to handle investigating.

Here’s the information that is allegedly said to come from inside Scientology in response to the efforts of Anonymous. I cannot at this time provide supporting data, this is still an on-going investigative effort:

Flag is 1/2 the size it was business wise as ten years ago…Public scientologists are all getting 3-4 phone calls PER DAY to come in for service s and pay more money!Staff are knocking on peoples doors every day, trying to get public to come back in. No “public” are giving them any money right now…

A lot of the kids were dumped there by their “Sea Org” parents who have been sent elsewhere, and basically abandoned them and went off to work for ‘RON”..

Most of the older people are gone The abuse the kids that are on staff are enduring is incredible. They get counted getting onto the bus to goto the mess hall, they get counted when they get off the bus. They counted when they go to bed. The kids don’t have any where to go, they are trapped…They are third world youngsters.. who have NO WHERE TO GO. South American, Russian Kids, Albanian,Hungarians, Cech republic, Serbia . Yugoslavia , They bring them in on “religious workers visas” and then they TAKE their passports, so they can not leave! The kids can’t leave, many are very frightened, you can see the desperation in their eyes, they are scared to death…

Monitored constantly. It is a horror show inside for staff…

David Miscavige is running everything, policy has been cancelled…by miscavige’s orders constantly coming down..command lines overide policy, that is what is causing the DOUBT.

The amount of internal abuse, reprimands and discipline actions is incredible.

If these accounts are true, this means many of these children are still minors, have no parents with them and are without their papers, they are unable to do anything, go anywhere or escape from the adult Scientologists who are looking after them while their parents are away. The above video is footage of a Church of Scientology van shot in Clearwater. They are taking these Flag kids back to the hotel where they stay while their parents work in either the Sea Org (which makes you sign a billion year contract) RPF otherwise known as the Rehabilitation Project Force. The RPF is where Scientologists who are deemed “out of line” (not the tech term, but something we can all understand) are forced to work in horrific conditions.

They are often forced to work 12-18 hours days, fed next to nothing and live in squalid conditions. Official, unofficial Scientology description of what goes on inside the RPF:

Five (often overlapping) activities of social control seem universal in all of the RPF information that is available from non-Scientology sources. These activities are:
(1) forcible confinement,
(2) physical maltreatment (through such things as hard exercise, physically demanding chores, poor diet, limited time for hygiene, and inadequate sleeping arrangements, etc.);
(3) social maltreatment (through restrictions in verbal and written communication with others, degradation, very low pay, etc.);
(4) intensive study of ideology, and
(5) forced confessions of past alleged ’sins.’

I plan to call the authorities to investigate these allegations of cruelty and violating child labor laws. This has become a matter of conscience. I would rather be proven wrong, than know that I did nothing while children are held against their will, separated from their parents and forced to do manual labor in violation of this country’s child labor laws.

Here are further accounts of what may be going on in Clearwater, based on the first-story accounts of children who were born into Scientology:

  1. i cannot stress enough for anyone who is filing a report on this to make sure there are interpreters to speak to these children. many of them speak little or no english.
it must also be stressed, as you can see from the video that you posted, that these younger children work under the cover of darkness.

interpreters and night raids. find out where these children are during the day.

THIS is why i fight! for these kids.

glosslip, i cannot thank you enough for all you’re doing for this noble cause to stand up against these barbarous cult.
    bless you.

  7. Thank you for doing this. I WAS the child everyone saw and no one spoke up for, and seeing these helpless kids is breaking my heart. So often the authorities are given information IN TIME to save a child and so often they look the other way, or get bogged down in paperwork. Please don’t let this be the case this time. The man who shot the video you have embedded above was found mysteriously dead on Feb. 16th 2008. Probable suicide is the unofficial report. (Anyone wishing to inquire about the bridge in China I have for sale please email me at whyaretheydead.net)

    Thank you.

  13. Hey Lu, how about you pick an identity and post under the same name and stop using 20 different identities to hide under.

Do you suffer from multiple personalities? There’s treatment for that. And it doesn’t involve vitamins, saunas and auditing.

Seriously, how do you live with yourself knowing your organization separates children from their parents? How do you live with yourself knowing your organization kills people?

How do you live with yourself knowing you’ve turned over your life savings to an organization which makes promises it can’t fulfill.

There’s no such thing as operating thetans. It’s all a lie LU. EVERY SINGLE WORD OF IT. Worse yet, L.Ron Hubbard plagarized those very words you cling to. Is this why you keep coming back, because you can’t imagine a life other than what you’ve been brainwashed to believe.

I’d feel ashamed and demoralized too if I were you, but there’s still time to leave before it all goes to the crapper. Get out while you can, there are people who will help you.

  23. Lu, is it your intention to set more people against the CoS??? Your retorts are always so abrasive that anyone learning of this for the first time on this site will assume that all scientologists are unbelievably rude.
We’ve become familiar with “SP Handling” techniques and we just see more confirmation of it with every retort you and other scientologists make.
People don’t like being “handled.” If you and the CoS can’t understand that then the CoS FAILS in it’s comprehension of human nature.

Anyway, I think, from a journalistic standpoint, D really has plenty of evidence to report that (s)he received a tip that alleges something. That evidence being that (pay close attention) (s)he received a tip that alleges something. See how real world language works when you don’t twist it into newspeak in order to hypnotize by confusion? It’s really neat. You read the word and it means what it flippin means, and, if you don’t understand it, you look it up in a REAL dictionary. I think you might have an MU. Hell, while you’re at it, look up “Gossip”. Isn’t this a gossip site?

  41. L Ron Hubbard said in the book “Child Dianetics: Dianetic Processing for Children” that children should be used in the sex act. “But how many people think babies are just too, too beautiful, who at the same time, feel that sex is just too, too nasty? The second dynamic must include not only sex and the sex act, but also children.”

SCIENTOLOGY TEACHES THAT CHILDREN SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN SEX.

I really fear for these kids. Lu, if you have any humanity left in that shell of a human body, you’d look into this. You wouldn’t just cry foul. You’d investigate yourself. Do something Lu, please.

Of course I understand that from your perspective free speech is only entitled to a certain class of person and as you conceive me to be “one the many other Church members sent out to comment on these stories,” I don’t qualify, eh? Your logic being that no one would just speak up and accuse you of bigotry, intolerance and inciting to hatred if they were not ordered to do so? My goodness. Must by interesting living in your mindset! As to this story, it’s just trash, intended to cause the most possible upset to the most people (spelled Scientologists). I don’t know, D. 49. Don’t blame Terryeo and Lu, they’re only following the orders of their Messiah:

    +++

HCO PL 15 Aug 1960, “Department of Governmental Affairs”

In the face of danger from government or courts, there are only two errors one can make: (a) do nothing and (b) defend. The right things to do with any threat are to (1) find out if we want to play the offered game or not (2) if not, to derail the offered game with a feint or attack upon the most vulnerable point which can be disclosed in the enemy ranks (3) make enough threat or clamor to cause the enemy to quail (4) don’t try to get any money out of it (5) make every attack by us also sell Scientology and (6) win. If attacked on some vulnerable point by anyone or anything or any organization, always find or manufacture enough threat against them to cause them to sue for peace. Peace is bought with an exchange of advantage, so make the advantage and then settle. Don’t ever defend. Always attack. Don’t ever do nothing. Unexpected attacks in the rear of the enemy’s front ranks work best.

The goal of the department is to bring the government and hostile philosophies or societies into a state of complete compliance with the goals of Scientology. This is done by high-level ability to control and in its absence by low-level ability to overwhelm. Introvert such agencies. Control such agencies. Scientology is the only game on Earth where everybody wins.

    +++

More LRH goodness can be found here: http://home.snafu.de/tilman/krasel/germany/quotes.html

You’ll never get a defense of their rotten organisation, only continual personal attacks and vitriol. And why would you expect a reasonable defense? After all, the fascistic cult they belong to is beyond any reasonable defense.

So Lu and Terryeo, perhaps you should examine what your “church’s” crimes are before you start wondering what everyone else’s are.

If it is truly your purpose to free the world, to help the planet, please, please look into this Jeanne. Maybe it is nothing. Maybe it is a false flag. But please, if you have the ability to look at the children in RPF or FLAG, please do. Please help.

  55. Jeanne, if you have a problem with the article then debate it on it’s own merits. Besides being about the “Church of Scientology” nothing in it is related to what are considered religious activities. Child labor is a serious claim that should be proven wrong with facts, not by accusing the reporter of anti-religious bigotry. If the allegations are unfounded, prove it. Everyone is willing to listen.

  57. Hey, Terryeo/JeanneB/Lu

“–The author has personally viewed information. The author then twists her personally viewed information into an ALLEGATION by saying–”

It doesn’t take any twisting or personal agenda; if that is the information she allegedly received from CoS insider, the allegation is there:

“They bring them in on “religious workers visas” and then they TAKE their passports, so they can not leave!”

Sounds a lot like an allegation of children being held hostage to me.

“–The author says the authorities, the Clearwater Police are not capable of protecting Clearwater residents–”

I don’t think it’s their capability in question, Terryeo, it’s their willingness. They do have a history of looking the other way where the Church is concerned. There is video documented proof. Go to http://www.xenutv.com.

“–Glosslip’s author then places her journalistic anthrax scare, saying–
’so it’s important to recommend a third party look into these matters.’”

Yeah, OK. And you blame the media for sensationalism. Equating the suggustion of a third party investigation to an anthrax threat? Meanwhile, isn’t it correct procedure for the Church to always use their own investigators (Attacks on Scientology lecture - L Ron Hubbard)? We won’t even get into the feeding lurid blood, sex crimes to the press (even if you don’t find any)…

Always attack, never defend? I think this policy is plaid out. Run tell DM to squirrel this P/L so that you can start defending yourselves with better than “I’m rubber, you’re glue. Whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you.” My god, he’s turned you all into grade school zombies.

    Expect us. Again.

  65. Jeanne, I haven’t really seen much of you around, so I couldn’t say for sure whether or not you were a scientologist disinformationist, but your post confirms it. You sound EXACTLY like a Scientologist disinformationist. I’m not even talking about the claims you are making, I am talking about EVERYTHING.

1)Nearly all of them use something in the lines of a real name (First name, initial and last name, etc.)
2)All of them link a scientologist propaganda site in their “Website” link.
3)They all use that same very vague tone of voice which you use, which makes me wonder if you’re all the same person, or if you’re just taught to post in that way.
4)Uses Ad Hominem attacks (personal attacks on the person, not the argument), the “Opposing Scientology is Religious Bigotry” card, claiming that the opponent has no facts, while not bringing up any specific facts which disprove their facts, but making baseless claims without a shred of substantial information, or using barely-related claims made by the CoS on one of their puppet sites.

Also, Miscavige and his cronies have a Victory Complex.

You can tell because their internet front is fucking terrible. Out of all of your probes, there are maybe two I’ve seen who can even make a compelling argument.

The internet isn’t the kiddie pool it was 12 years ago. This is our turf, and we have YEARS of debating experience. Bring in that Mark guy, or just stop posting already.

  67. Lu, Terryeo, Jeanne: Now’s a perfect opportunity for any of you to show you have a sense of decency.
A while back, I invited the individual calling himself/herself Sylver to acknowledge that the CoS has committed wrongdoings.
    Now I’m asking you.
Fair Game policy, Operation Freakout against Paulette Cooper, Operation Snow White, slimy attacks on Arnie Lerma’s reputation (of which Terryeo has been a part at Wikipedia), R2-45 …. Were any of these things wrong?
Surely you’ll agree it was wrong to harass and slander Paulette Cooper, and conspire to frame her of crimes, in an attempt to get her incarcerated or institutionalized. Right?
And if you’re gonna insist R2-45 was just a joke … well, that’s a helluva sense of humor Dear Leader Hubbard had there. What about when he prescribed it in writing for 12 named enemies of the CoS?
And don’t tell me Op Freakout isn’t “verifiable” or any such nonsense. The documentary evidence is overwhelming.
If you have a sense of decency and you don’t belong to a totalitarian cult, then you surely can admit right now that Op Freakout was a horribly wrong thing to do.
And there won’t be any repercussions from your dear “church”.

Did it essentially make all Catholics guilty? No.
However, it also did not mean that all Catholics should be so quick to decry these abuses as fallacy. Nor did the Church ask their members to publicly decry these allegations as false.

Is it now a Hate-Crime against Scientology when the possibility of children being abused is being investigated? No.
It is the truth breaking free, again.
It is the restoration of human rights, again.
It is an attempt to right a wrong, again.

Does it mean that all Scientologists are guilty? No.
However, they should search their own hearts and minds to determine if simply ignoring the allegations is really the best cause of action.

Perhaps questions should be asked (whether allowed or not), and maybe research should be done (whether welcome or not).

When children may be involved…importance gets escalated…period.

  73. Yes, Jeanne, since you are visiting us today from the Church of Scientology, or so says your IP address, pardon me for taking your POV with a grain of salt.

Let me tell you a little bit about me Jeanne, if that’s your real name, because I am sure the CoS is well aware of mine.

I was cruising along doing my fun little celeb gossip until I did an interview with a well-known author named Ian Halperin. Ian infiltrated the CoS and discovered some unsavory details, like it was full of racism and bigotry. He also discovered they thought gays were sub-human and promised to cure them, something they have yet to prove they are capable of doing. In fact, the CoS is being sued by Michael Pattinson for this very claim. He spent $500,000 and is still gay. So, moving on.

Being a naturally curious type I thought, “Wow, this sure is an intriguing story, this Church of Scientology. I think I will investigate them.” And lo and behold, I peeled just a teeny bit of the facade of “showy” exterior people like Cruise and Alley try to create and a WHOLE world of sick, craven, deplorable, reprehensible corruption spilled forth and got all over my nice shiny shoes.

Well, since I had muck all over my shoes, I figured, hey, I’m already in it, might as well follow the rabbit hole and see where it leads.

Jeanne, Terryeo et al, I am not a member of Anonymous. I do communicate with them and do I listen to them and they do send me information. So far, nothing whatsoever has led me to mistrust this information and I have immersed myself in the vast array of information that is available on the internet.

Unless you can prove to me that every single shred of incriminating evidence I have found on the Church of Scientology is a lie, then I will continue to follow the leads.

May I also suggest you just give it up, because I am only one of 1000’s of sites who will see the truth and bring it into the spotlight of the public. This may be a “celeb gossip” site, but celebs like Tom Cruise are using their fame and power to distract the public from the dangers of COS. I see this story as relevant to celebs, and on a personal level, my responsibility to report.

  75. Lou, Jeanne, Terryeo et al,(or rather all three CO$ers on the net) the jig is up. Get out while you can. You are making a record of yourself right here on this blog as being supportive of child endangerment at the least. THE MAN WHO SHOT THAT VIDEO IS DEAD. ALL agencies than can be contacted about this horror, HAVE BEEN. You are at your computer now, contact Andreas, or another exco$ser they CAN and will help you escape while the getting is good. Saying all of this is a lie while the very people on the inside are giving statements to authorities is only going to land YOU in hot water. Why support a sinking ship? Save yourself and those close to you. If you love the tech so much get it for free at the freezone. You have a choice as ADULTS, those poor children have none.

At this very moment the CO$ is scrambling to get far-flung parents BACK to Flagg to be with their long lost children. WILL law enforcement get their before asses are covered?

    ONLY the shadow knows.

  77. These are serious allegations. This reminds me of the pictures of the people in the concentration camps. I remember questioning why NO ONE did anything for them. Why did it take people from other countries to fight a war to find them. Now I am beginning to understand.

We must ask ourselves, if this is true, “how can I live, knowing I did nothing?”

Mothers STAND UP! We must CALL out for HELP for our children. Pick up the phone, and call. Try Unicef, the American Red Cross, Dept of Children’s services. Think for a moment, what if these children were you own, or your Grandchildren. Someone MUST speak for the Children.

Moms it is our God Given Right to speak for the children. Don’t let any political correctness stop you. Ask for help for the voiceless.

  79. Hahaha @ Jeanne

Do you and Terryeo and Lu ever appear in the same room at the same time? Wasn’t there someone with Apple or something in their name, too? Where’d that personality go?

    But, more importantly:

“may I say I find it very interesting you would “accuse” me of exercising free speech.”

I don’t believe I did? What an odd accusation that would be. In fact, I never called you out to do anything. I merely mused that you, Terryeo, and possibly Lu might be the same person as you all seem to appear all over the internets commenting on every Scientology critical articles.

“Of course I understand that from your perspective free speech is only entitled to a certain class of person and as you conceive me to be “one the many other Church members sent out to comment on these stories,” I don’t qualify, eh? Your logic being that no one would just speak up and accuse you of bigotry, intolerance and inciting to hatred if they were not ordered to do so?”

First of all, please quote the line where I denied you the right to speak? I’m pretty sure 99.9% of my first post was directed at accusations against the author and in defense of HER rights to free speech. Just because I’m not jumping in to defend you doesn’t mean I’m against your right to speak. Grow up. My whole second post was defending, point by point, the author against what Terryeo said. I don’t believe any where in my posts that I’ve asked anyone to remain silent let alone denied them their right to a voice. Quite the opposite really; I’d love to intellectually debate the topic and learn something but all I ever here is “It’s all lies” and, when asked why, I get “Because he’s a child molester”. Good point. We all know child molesters can’t tell the truth. Again, grow up. And for the record, the word “bigot” according to Mirriam Webster means: a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices. By the way, I’ve not mentioned word one about your faith…merely the way your church militantly opperates itself.

Every Scientologist I’ve talked to online (including you all) is a walking (typing) definition of the word bigot so, please quit throwing the word around.

“My goodness. Must by interesting living in your mindset!”

It is great. I get to wake and experience the day all the while forming my very own opions rather than having them force fed to me.

“As to this story, it’s just trash, intended to cause the most possible upset to the most people (spelled Scientologists).”

Wow, Scientology is the fastest growing religion in the world now that Scientologists are “the most people”. Even at 8 million, you wouldn’t be a majority. Just pointing that out. But, I would like to say that I don’t think the author’s intentions were to upset anyone. I think she even hopes that she’s wrong in the article.

“I don’t know, D. You have turned a perfectly ordinary tabloid rag into an anti-religious hate fest. You could at least stop pretending and change the name to what it should really be. Ain’t about glosslip anymore. That’s for sure.”

And why don’t you rename WISE, Criminon, Narconon, Applied Scholastics, ABLE, etc what they really are: front organizations that utilize LRH tech in order to get CoS recruits.

Very brave of you to do this. No doubt you are fairly high on the church’s known enemy list now. Be sure to document any strange things that happens to you.

Tamphex from Enturbulation.org had someone standing outside his house filming him and several others have been stalked (and one even had her phoneline cut… yea). Hopefully with your more noticible profile, they are less likely to use their standard operations.

  87. Hate to double post but I have to ask the defenders here something, and they probably won’t answer me but it’s worth a try anyway.

Do you ever wonder why so many people that were a part of the CoS now speak out? Have you ever read the stories on the ex forums or seen the videos? Do you really think they’re all lying? Do you ever wonder why so many people are so vocal in calling for a reform in the CoS? Have you ever, just for a few minutes, looked into the claims being made?

Or do you know they’re not lies? Were you raised in Sea Org? Were you one of the ones abused until it turned you around to someone that now abuses the others? Or do you know about these things happening and don’t say anything? Do you worry that if you speak up against them you’ll be punished? Do you worry that if you leave you’ll loose everything?

Because you’re one of the people we’re here fighting to help. Even though you see us as your enemy, and don’t want us, we’re here for you just as much as we are for those children, for every family disconnected, for every death and for anyone else who has been abused and neglected by this so called church.

  89. No one’s trying to say that you don’t have the RIGHT to say what you want. Although, once more, I need to emphasize that a comment page is not a public area and thusly, free speech doesn’t legally apply, therefore it’s impolite and counter-productive to ban you from discussion for having a poorly-researched, uncivil opinion and inflammatory method of presentation.

See, a good argument here would be as follows:

“D, who’s your source? Are these second-hand sources, at least, and not a he-said-she-said sort of thing (because of the “telephone” effect)? Are they reliable?

It’s unusual to hear of this sort of thing–what about the INS? Don’t they check up on the people they give visas, or something? Why haven’t their visas expired yet (thus prompting contact by the INS), if this has been going on for years?

If the older people are worrying about the kids, then who (if not them) is abusing them?”

    And so on.

Unfortunately, I heard this from the same source, he has a reliable, legit reputation, and I’ve seen it backed up by other people’s first hand accounts (making it my second-hand account, which isn’t bad, though it’s not ideal). So I know it’s true.

My other questions still stand, I guess: why haven’t any gov’t organizations checked up on expired visas and stuff? Do they get shipped back or ditched beforehand, or is it just a lack of contact information? PS: call the INS yesprz.

Now, you guys are putting forth BAD arguments, which are poorly structured and inflammatory (which makes people annoyed and less likely to believe/trust/listen to you).

    Bad Argument Features:

inflammatory statements (WOMAN IN KITCHEN, WILD GUESSES (hey, guys, it’s not a wild guess, it’s possibly-inaccurate information from a possibly-biased source; she’s not guessing anything), PREJUDICE IS A HOT-BUTTON WORD)

ad-hominem attacks: YOU’RE A PREJUCIDE. YOU AND KICTHENS AMIDOINITRITE?

discounting unconventional ideas: YOU SAID THE POLICE ARE BROKEN SO YOU HAVE TO BE WRONG.

stupid comparisons: ANTHRAX ANTRHAX IS A HOT BUTTON WORD TOO NOW THEY HAVE TO BELIEV EME

I mean, seriously, you guys aren’t arguing very well, which is why people react so negatively to it. You’re overly defensive, which expresses itself as outright hostility.

If you were 100% sure she was wrong, you could even just say,

“As a Scientologist, I find these allegations shocking and incredibly offensive. I have great faith in what David Miscavige is doing, and there is no way he would allow any of these things to be going on, because Scientology cares very much about human rights.

Are you sure you have a valid source for this, and not just some random whacko? Why haven’t the INS or FBI investigated this yet, if it’s true?

I’ve been to Flag before and I’ve never seen anything like what you’re talking about before, and none of my Sea Org friends ever mentioned the horrible living conditions or shitty pay.”

I mean, you’d be immediately set upon by people with a different opinion, but instead of being told to shut up and stop being a jackass, they’d be linking you to information, explaining their sources, answering your questions, and so on.

You guys are indicating that you’re not willing to listen to our side of the argument, which means that no one else wants to listen to YOUR side (especially since your side of the argument is very poorly thought-out).

But I’d love to talk to you guys anyways, and listen to what you have to say, if you feel interested at all.

It is admirable that you allow your conscience to guide you, instead of the corporate legal advisers who restrain most media.

To the Scientologists commenting, this is a gossip site, so the fact-checking is not meant to be rigorous, it is completely appropriate to report insider tipoffs, and hopefully this one turns out to be way off the mark. It would not be right to ignore it as you are suggesting. If you hear a cry for help from inside a building, but the doorman rudely tells you to go away, should you shout into the night and ask the cryer to provide evidence? Should you trust the doorman and pretend you heard nothing? There is a chorus of cries coming from the inside of Flag and Sea Org, the only correct action is an investigation by the proper authorities.

Do the same in other countries. Call Interpol, call CNN. Be completely open and transparent. Act NOW so your critics can’t claim you had time to ‘clean up’. It’s possible the allegations are false, but if they are, why are you not opening up to prove them false? The only hope Co$ has is to be completely transparent. To anybody here not somehow affiliated with Anonymous or the CoS, look at the posts Terreyo, Jeanne, and Lu made. Did any of their comments actually attempt to refute the points made in D’s post? Or did they merely attack his/her journalistic integrity and accuse Glosslip of slander, bigotry, or religious discrimination?

Why couldn’t they have come out and said “This report is not true, here is a document/another video/other proof that proves these claims are false”? Why can’t CoS staff supply any counter-argument to the allegations made against them? It is because the actions of the Church CANNOT BE DEFENDED.

It is worth remembering that much of the current leadership, including David Miscavige and Mike Rinder were raised in the Sea Org, and became classic examples of the abused becoming abusers.

By this point any argument the ‘Church’ of Scientology (cos) is a celebrity in it’s own right, just as much as the Disney corporation, even without factoring the concious efforts they make to recruit celebrity’s.

Trying to claim that COS is up front about it’s involvment in it’s front groups is bald face lying. Check the history of the Cult Awareness Network, which they sued till bankrupt and then bought by a prominent scientologist.

I note that there still isn’t even an attempt made to defend the COS actions or reputations except by insulting and accusing the author. Look online for court cases involving COS and children.

Go ahead and follow that link to http://scientologymyths.info Then do a few searches on the ‘myths’ they’re exposing. Since the facts support themselves, I’m not giving you a link where I’ve carefully sifted the facts and warped the truth to support my own views. “Talk about a “front group”. At least Scientology’s supposed “front groups” are honest about using the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard.”

Honest about using LRH tech, yes. Honest about their affiliations with the Church, no. I’ve seen it all over the internet from posters just like you that claim “CoS will tell you it’s affiliated with Crim/Narc/Whatever-onon, but they won’t say they are affiliated with the CoS”. Why might that be? Well, let’s break it down:

The Church gets good PR from claiming to be affiliated with “good intentioned” programs like Narconon, Crimonon, etc and get some new recruits to boot.

On the other hand, the programs hide their affiliation with CoS so as not to appear to be a front organization and in doing so are seen in a more appealing and genuine light.

Sound about right? Other religions have programs like these and make their affiliations very clear (google Christian/Jewish/Etc Rehabilitation).

“For all those who have wandered on here by accident, I would recommend the following site — it includes an admirable debunking of all of the common myths and accusations thrown at Scientologists, the Church of Scientology and Hubbard:

    http://scientologymyths.info

OK, back to fronts, why isn’t it mentioned that this is a CoS owned site any where? Why does it parade itself as an independent source? Take one look at the entry on Bill Robertson and take note of the fact that they have to call attention to the guy’s sexual escapades. What does that have to do with his credibility? Where did they get this from? His PC folder? And, if so, why is information divulged during his auditing used as fodder to discredit him? He was good enough for you then but now that he’s perceived as an enemy of the church he’s a “sexual deviant”? Perhaps in the FreeZone he has gotten past this perceived deviance. Do you know? Do the operators of that site know? Do you/they care? Do you not see the heap of hypocrisy?

Try to answer some of these questions…PLEASE!?

  139. warning CO$ers do not read, it will enturbulate you:

“Prior to my arrival, I had no way of knowing about the modern-day slavery conditions I would find there, much less the violations of my freedom of speech that would impact me: we could not have a phone in our rooms, nor a cell phone, nor a television, nor a computer, nor any computer access in the rare occasion that we would be off the base to access one; nor a real residence address to receive mail. Our mail was read by security guards before–and if–it ever got to us. Any phone calls we got from outside people were screened (listened to on an extension by a security guard or a senior). We couldn’t leave the base without permission, had no freedom to come and go in our lives without restraint of schedule or authority, nor could we receive family or friends as visitors. We worked within the confines of a chain-link fence topped with barbed wire, and were under 24/7 security watch. Many pregnant S.O. members at the Int base were coerced into having abortions, since having a baby was considered a distraction to production and a lesser cause than the high calling of the Sea Org to save the planet. Andrew quotes me on page130 about this.”

  141. CO$ once again proves they are no match to the WOGS.

Honestly Marge, get Sylver back - Michael was far more fun than you.

Anon being the last flight of Xenu? More like your ‘church’ is ripe to implode - only thing that is scaring me is that it may turn into a “Clearwater,-Just-like-Waco” scenario…

These allegations are serious – if you actually cared about others – you’d be concerned. Not busy attacking people randomly, with no critical thought whatsoever.

Child abuse has been systematic in CO$ ever since the foundation of the ‘church’ - Possibly from LRH’s warped sense of entitlement (and dabbling in the Dark Arts). I can document it here if you would like. Just let me know. It’s really harrowing stuff.

Why is it – that when I watch News Feeds from around the world – CO$ is basically being outed as the cult it has always been? That having ego driven celebrity adherents is not helping CO$ at all; that the ‘valued teachings’ of the ‘church’ are being exposed, free-of-charge, and are seen for what they really are – mindless dribble.

All that ‘tech’ has made you are so broken to accept the ravings of a madman as the only salvation. I do not want a ‘clear’ planet – where there will be no thought or discussion. That I will be a slave to an emperor with no clothes.

WAKE UP AND SMELL THE ENTHETA.

Better yet, learn to speak intelligently again. And for that to happen – you better blow.

  143. No questions answered. Only accusations. Is it any wonder you’re institution (the church, not the beliefs) is viewed with such disdain and scrutiny? “Always attack, never defend” over and over. You all sound like tape recordings played on a loop. Is it any wonder people think the posts are coming from the same person? Are Sylver, GrnApl, Jeanne(B), Terryeo, Marge, and Lu (did I leave any of the alter-egos out?) the same person or just so indoctrinated that they all arrive at the same answer: none. Is there any one out there capable of defending the accusations leveled at the CoS without attacking the accusers? Talk about reactive mind; my god you people react in such a defensive manner it makes me wonder if you are members in good standing…are you?

  145. To all scientologists reading this. It is highly recommended that you blow. The authorities ARE looking into these allegations (and the unofficial responses I’ve gotten haven’t been the least bit favorable towards your cult, they were apparently aware of several of your abuses and just waiting for things to “stack up”)

When this is over there will be trials. Do you really want to be on trial for the abuses your church promotes through its policies?

Check out the sciguy failing to “handle” the investigative reporter then getting lectured on manners!

Scientologists, what purpose does the “attack the attacker” strategy serve other than to gain you more enemies and make you appear to be really rude and nasty?

    Comment by Anon — February 26, 2008 @ 9:39 pm

  152.
  153. I suppose it is unexpected when a person reacts with an attack to someone who is confronting them. The confronter will either be stunned into silence or react in anger - either of which can be manipulated easily to help turn the confrontation around on them.
The problem is, scientologists, this strategy was not supposed to be known to the person confronting you (or for internet use). We are now all aware of your strategy and since it is expected of you, you’ve lost the element of surprise and it is working against you.
Time for a change of plans. Maybe you can try for pity.

  155. To bring this back to something akin to the original subject:
Children are not the only victims of Scientology’s practice of “marooning” people from foreign countries by pulling their passports. Adults are similarly handled when they come to the US for Scientology “auditing”…especially if they have a lot of money.
And many American Scientology staffers are punished by being sent to “missions” in other countries, where the same thing happens in reverse. Their passports are pulled in order to keep them there, since, not knowing the culture, not having much money, they can’t “blow” and disappear. If they do, the only place they can go is to the US embassy…and Scientology “handlers” usually get there first, stop the staffer, and talk him or her into going back with them. One of the most disturbing things about Scientology is the almost incredible control they establish over the minds of their “staff”. I have read account after account of people trying to leave Scientology, being tracked down, and talked into returning, even though they knew they will be punished for it.

  157. I am so glad to see that some people are brave enough to speak out about the abuse that scientology has perpetrated against its members and its critics.
It is so horrible to think what it must be like to be trapped in this without being able to have your own money or car or being able to communicate with your own family. And our government does nothing.
If you are in scientology and on staff look around you and ask what kind of church does this?
I know that this is a confusing time right now but remember no one hates you or wants to hurt you but it is time to get out.

  159. I am just a bit curious that Anonymous keeps plagiarizing this phrase “we are legion” from the demon found in the Christian Bible in Mark 5:9 and Luke 8:30. This seems to give a totally new meaning to the phrase “change that can be zeroxed”. Now that I think of it I am curious if Anonymous can actually back up any of their words with other than just more words.

  163. Just ignore the Scientologists. They will never defend, explain or rationally debate their beliefs or actions. They only know how to attack, attack, attack. It is impossible to have a reasonable or civilized conversation with them, because they are victims of mind control and as such, they have no concept of reality. Terryeo, Jeanne, Lu, etc, I hope someone helps you get out of the cult, I know you’re in a terrible position and no one deserves to be treated the way you are. It’s a very sad day when a person is unable or not allowed to even question their own beliefs.

  165. Please Lu, or Terryeo, or Marge, or whoever you are going to change your name to. Please stop attacking. Please look into this.

You seem so heartless with the way you are acting here. If anything, I think anybody who saw your responses would think your church must be disgusting if its members don’t even care about its own children.

Please look into this Terryeo. Please do something Lu. Please help, Marge. Don’t just sit there attacking. Real people are in need. Isn’t this what OT is all about in the first place? Changing the world to be a better place? Why is it that it takes nobodies, it takes Anonymous, it takes men without faces to do the things you promised to do.

Anonymous is the new OT. They are the ones changing the earth. David Miscavige is a coward and a murderer.

    Do something.

The CO$ contiues to show it’s culturally inept side. Hell, I’m a blue hair and even I knew what the reference to LEGION meant, but then I went to a real school and not a CO$ institute of dumbdown.

    FREE YOURSELF. RUN AWAY. MEEP.

  175. Tran, how dare you call ME an anti-religious extremist and copyright anarchist! Someone has wilfully stolen our top secret special scriptures that cost thousands of dollars and spread them over the internet for outsiders to look at for free. This is dangerous because if you read them before doing the prerequisite Scientology courses (thousands of dollars in value) you may get pneumonia or even die. This is violating our corporate rights, those writings are trade secrets. Copyright law was made to protect the work of authors such as the magnificent L. Ron Hubbard. We take leaking of trade secrets very seriously - look at the order given regarding these SPs - http://www.gerryarmstrong.org/50grand/cult/hco-ethics-order-30.html Why all the hate and bigotry? Can’t you just mind your own business?

I also have a fabulous healthy constitution and life – without the need to throw money at a secretive and destructive organisation. The only reason these ‘scriptures’ are hidden until you are sucked right into the maw that is CO$, you will not question how patently ridiculous they are. Looks, smells and acts like a cult. Call them trade secrets – cult. You are an anti-religious extremist and copyright anarchist, Jeanne – but I guess you haven’t got to that point of the bridge yet… LOL
