Conflict Between Anonymous And Scientology Heats Up, Battle Lines Being Drawn
While no one should be surprised that the Church of Scientology has not taken this recent spate of criticism in stride and with measured tones, it is with utter shock and dismay we learned that high ranking officials may be planning to involve children and provoke attacks during the planned protests at Scientology centers in LOS ANGELES and CLEARWATER FLORIDA this Saturday. Assume this applies to ALL centers.
Several reports have surfaced that members within Scientology’s Office of Special Affairs, or as its is often referred to OSA, had a secret meeting on March 11th where they discussed plans to turn the previously peaceful protests by Anonymous into a violent confrontation. THIS IS SPECULATION AND HERESAY and therefore is for information purposes only to inform the public. This is NOT verified as true. I repeat, I am NOT able to verify if this is true.
According to information ascertained by someone attending the meeting, CLEARWATER and LOS ANGELES ORGS are planning to disrupt the protests by using the following methods:
“…Scientology is planning to choreograph an incident of violence, using their children. this was implied, I don’t have the exact words just the summation, that Scientology wants and desires a confrontation.. they would LIKE to create a riot..
OT committee member and their families, public scientologists and their families are invited for a pancake breakfast at 9 AM… the children will be doing fun things like “Face painting”
If you did not know about the facepainting you might THINK they were demonstrators, right?
The “breakfast will start at 9:30, bring the kids “face painting and clowns”….
Buses will take you at 11 AM to the respective locations of the event, Ruth Eckart Hall in CW and in LA the Shrine..
The LRH event WILL BE this saturday….”
The source goes on to say that the CoS hopes to generate enough confusion and agitate protesters into acts of violence, using the Scientology children as a guise for righteous outrage. They also suggest every precaution be taken to avoid ANY conflict and to be aware of these efforts.
I urge responsibility, civility, calm, kindness and a Ghandi-like attitude when protesting. Do not allow yourself to be provoked, no matter what. Walk away, turn the other cheek. It is important to maintain the high road and be kind, Scientologists deserve compassion and understanding. Peacefully protesting the organization and informing the public is the objective. Obey the law to the LETTER.

Any suspicious behavior should be immediately reported to police, and such people videotaped and isolated from the group. The real Anonymous protesters will remain calm at all times regardless of provocation, and isolate any troublemakers. Anonymous invites law enforcement to attend and observe. Protesters and the media will be recording events, so any troublemakers will be quickly apprehended. If the Church of Scientology attempts to incite violence, it will only end badly for them as their dirty tricks become well publicized.

I hope that if the cult attempts to do this, that they will be shown to be the ones who did it, and not have anon blamed. emphasize to the media/police that the cult does engage in this type of behavior (wetting things up and playing the victim) — so that anon are not automatically falsely blamed. Media and general public need to know that the protest by real anon is peaceful.

In fact law enforcement is encouraged as we have all ready read what the scientologists are planning at several protest sites so that the individual (masked scientologist) is carried off

Now seems like a good time to quote from the Anonymous “global speech” ror March 15:
“To the Scientologists who fear us: You have nothing to fear from our peaceful protests. We are here because we CARE about you. We demonstrate only against the abuses of the Church management and we stand by your individual freedom of religion.”
Couldn’t make it much clearer than that.
Yet I’m sure the likes of Lu and Sylver will continue with the ridiculous $ci tactic of crying “religious bigotry” and “hate.” Take another look at that quote, Lu: “We demonstrate only against the abuses of the Church management …”

lets compare what the cult has done:
-suppress free speech (in person, internet, in print)
-create a bomb scare a few days before the protest in the hopes that it will stop the protest somehow
-mail white powder in envelopes to themselves (I really believe the cult did that to themselves)
-trying to get an injunction and restraining order against anon without notice to anon a couple of days before the protest to try and stop the protests
-who knows how low they will go: the cult needs to be watched a lot closer, they are getting desperate
what anon has done:
told the truth about the cult

Just a few things to beware of for tomorrow:
CO$ intend to provoke violent reaction at all protests – so remain calm and if needs be walk away. They may involve their children – so be extra careful in not being drawn into their paranoia.
Bring cameras (still and video) and document everything – as they have been trying to discredit Anon with doctored photos and video footage.
Try to arrive to the site on foot and from different directions. CO$ record cars and license plates for use in ‘dead agenting’, and ‘fair game’ strategies. When leaving the area – split up. Check whether you are being followed – and think of ways to shaking them and getting away clean.
Be polite to all that approach you (police, passer-bys, CO$). Don’t mention hate – we are protesting against the inhuman practises of CO$ and their suppression of their own adherents, as well as those who are not believers.

Would also be a good idea to be aware that the Co$ may try incite violence by placing double-agents within the Anon protests posing as violent/abusive Anons. Just keep this in mind and stick to the very good advice above:
“Any suspicious behavior should be immediately reported to police, and such people videotaped and isolated from the group.”

glosslip, you might mention that there were fake bomb threat reports in Florida and Battle Creek Michigan by Church of $cientology.
In Battle Creek they called the cops today, based on a video they saw weeks ago. Why would anyone wait to report the possibility of a bombing????
The authorities and media appear to be unable to think to ask a simple question like this.
False reports causing emergency response is a serious crime.
How about if you ask the question?
Comment by marcab — March 13, 2008 @ 10:15 pm
I think CO$ have already shown that the threats are baseless – as several commenters have pointed out – if there was any grain of truth – they should be calling the FBI, rather than private security firms, and posting ridiculous court actions…
I believe we have the OSA completely chasing its own tail – good work!
Comment by beebee — March 13, 2008 @ 10:44 pm
You are quite right about false reports marcab!
This non-tax paying “religion” seems to have no problem wasting TAX PAYER’S money on law enforcement resources on things like “diffusing” a BIBLE and somebody’s personal belongings that were left in an ally outside their “church”!
The story of the boy who cried wolf is a story with a concept easy enough for a small CHILD to comprehend, yet it seems to elude these people.
I am sure they question it, but our very thorough law enforcement would never risk anyone’s safety by ignoring a call for help – and the CoS takes full advantage.
This “religion” is disruptive and a financial waste to society.
If they DO try and USE children to incite violence, that would be a MASSIVE mistake! The bad press alone would be more than detrimental to their cause. The mere thought of it makes me sick.

There are protests where it’s appropriate to bring children, and then there are those which are not. Co$ using kids? Foolish. Trying to incite violence? Even more foolish.
For all you who will be out and about, stay away from anyone with children. Stay together. Keep cameras rolling.

Wow D another great article and great comments. I can hardly keep up here. Things are really escalating and I fervently hope and pray for everyone’s safety (that includes scientologist) at the pickets. Surely parents will not allow their children to be used in this manner but as many have already stated anons must remain peaceful and not rise to the bait. I’ve been reading posts of recent sicnetologist that have left the church ( Clambake, ex scientology kids, etc. they are so numerous I don’t have the links but there are many here at gloss lips)and it looks like many high ups are waking up and abandoning the sinking ship. I’m not any way near an Org or mission so can’t be at any of the demonstrations but I will be watching the reports anxiously and of course having cake. Let’s be safe out there. God bless and luv ya.
Comment by Mitsu Too — March 14, 2008 @ 6:31 am
I agree with #9. They are getting desperate. In these situations, the abuser is the MOST abusive when they start to lose their control. You also have to think about the people who have been in it for so long that they couldn’t bear to think about their lives without it. The term “Stockholm syndrome” probably applies to a lot of these guys. They probably internally connect their self-esteem and self-worth with this cult. If any cult member tries to start a fight with you, remember that THEY are the victim in this scenario. They actually BELIEVE in this stuff….

Comment by Imominous — March 14, 2008 @ 8:55 am
Anonymous has always and will always disavow violence. Even if one of us is struck, we will not strike back. The only violence in LA was perpetrated by a Scientologist. Anonymous does not forgive, Anonymous does not forget, Anonymous does not harm the victims of an evil and dangerous cult. And make no mistake, Anonymous regards the vast majority of Scientologists as victims.
The Ides of March is upon us.
Expect us.
Comment by Anonymous — March 14, 2008 @ 9:46 am
These false bomb threats should be seen as a indication of how effective Anonymous has been, and how desperate the “Church” is. They are sinking to the lowest bullbaiting they can think of. Consider it a badge of courage, Anonymous.
As for the protests tomorrow, take all precautions. Travel by public transportation. Travel in groups. Don’t take their bait. Walk away if you have to. If someone follows you, walk or drive calmly to the nearest police station- report them if they persist. You have the right to assembly. You have the right to freedom of speech. You have the right to peaceably protest.
Caesar was brought down by the masses on the Ides of March; Scientology will be too. The truth will be the daggers that bring this insidious organization down. Rock on, Anon.

Anonymous is an evil cult . that will destroy our american freedoms which they hate, just look what their doing their taking away scientologys freedom of religion! and they are using freedom of assembly to do it, IMHO i would rather have the right to worship my god jesus than assemble on street corners to stop others practising their religion. You know who else hated relgions HITLER!!
Comment by Sherrly — March 14, 2008 @ 12:28 pm
#33… You seem to be jumping in on the situation a little late. No one is trying to take away their religious freedom. The point is to protest the abuses of the “church”. There is a boatload of information that will be self explanatory if you only take the time to read some of it. The protests have nothing to do with doing away with their choice of religion. Why don’t you just go away, and come back when you have something useful to contribute.
Comment by D-Bomb — March 14, 2008 @ 12:42 pm
Sherrly, I hate to downstat a poor Scientologist, but it is apparent and obvious to all that Anonymous has no issue with religions of any kind, even the one that Hubbard crafted to line his portly pockets. Anonymous believes all have a right to believe what they like, and so you will see Freezoners among Anonymous and Jews and Catholics and Christians and Hindi and Atheists and Agnostics. Anonymous is everyone who loves freedom and wishes to free you and others from the grip of the Cult of Scientology who strips you of your human dignity, who puts a price the the beauty and majesty of your soul and which abuses you, body and heart.
Come out of Scientology- leave the cult and return to the world of Light and Laughter and Love.

I’m waiting for courageous Scientologists to step forward and admit that their church is flawed and take some responsibility for fixing it. That is what their founder L. Ron Hubbard said they should do. That is what Keeping Scientology Working means — that each one of them is supposed to make sure that everything that’s done in the church and in the church’s name is correctly done.
I call on Scientologists to look closely at David Miscavige’s track record, at his behavior, at his lifestyle. Really look. Look at what he’s done to Hubbard’s “tech.” He’s bastardized it and he’s been doing it since 1987. Wake up.
