Will Smith Continues To Deny Being Scientologist, But The Damage May Already Be Done

willandtom.jpg
It’s a cultural phenomena that ANYONE would want to be associated with the beleaguered and embattled Tom Cruise. The once “top gun” of Hollywood has fallen so far off the mark of his former star power, not even a mystical display of super-powers could bring him back. Tom Cruise is tainted goods.

According to new reports, Will Smith is once again denying he is a Scientologist, and has responded to an article in Radar magazine stating otherwise.

Smith tells Rush & Molloy, “You don’t have to be Jewish to be a friend of Steven Spielberg. You don’t have to be a Muslim to be a friend of Muhammad Ali. And you don’t have to be a Scientologist to be a friend of Tom Cruise.” So what is Smith, anyway? “I am a Christian. I am a student of all religions.”

I beg to differ with Will Smith’s claim that you don’t have to be a Scientologist to be Tom’s friend. In fact, I will go so far as to say that you DO have to be a Scientologist, or at least lend a friendly face and your official support to Scientology to be Tom’s friend. This is just how Tom Cruise rolls, “either you’re in or you’re out. Phewwww!!”

Tom Cruise’s entire existence on this planet not only revolves around Scientology, but is ultimately ruled by his faith. Tom is so utterly and completely consumed by Scientology he’s proven himself willing to trash his entire Hollywood career for it. In Tom Cruise’s world only one thing truly matters, the words of L. Ron Hubbard and his beloved and true love: Scientology.

tomnicoleconnorisabella.jpgBut don’t take my word for it, Tom’s track record speaks for itself. When the Church of Scientology took a look at Nicole’s stalled progression on the “Bridge to Happiness” they began to wonder if she just wasn’t buying in to the whole thing. Maybe Nicole was having doubts and therefore was becoming a “potential trouble source” not only for herself and the Church, but more importantly, their chosen savior, Tom Cruise. It is said when Tom packed up his bags and took his and Nicole’s two adopted children, Isabella and Connor away from Nicole, all he would tell her about why he left was “you know what you did.”

Since Nicole vehemently denies she was ever unfaithful to Tom (though she seems to have been somewhat of an ungrateful diva at times) the only obvious betrayal worthy of her unceremonious dumping, was her singular flaw of not accepting Scientology. It could also be Nicole’s father, a clinical psychologist, proved to be too big of an obstacle for Scientology and their global efforts to “obliterate psychiatry” to overcome.

08-tom-cruise-penelope-cruz-400a051507.jpgMany also suggest this unwillingness to become fully indoctrinated into the Church of Scientology is the reason Penelope Cruz, and Sofia Vergara were found to be unsuitable mates for Tom Cruise when he went courting for a new wife. Both Latin beauties were too smart, and too worldly to fall for Scientology.

katietom.jpgSadly, Katie Holmes was not so lucky. Seizing on Katie’s own sweet gullibility and prophetic admission to “one day being Mrs. Cruise” Katie found herself the object of a grand, sweeping courtship not only with Tom Cruise, 16 years her senior, but with the entire Church of Scientology. It wasn’t so much Katie’s beauty and sweet mid-Western charm which won the handsome Cruise over, but her willingness to buy the Scientology shtick lock, stock and barrel in exchange for what she must have thought was “true love.” I wonder if she has figured out who Tom’s true love is yet?

tom_patkinsley.jpgAlso noteworthy in the Tom Cruise pantry of disposable goods is his long-time publicist Pat Kingsley. Pat Kingsley patiently helped Tom weather many storms, including rampant (and what appears to be completely untrue) rumors of a secret homosexual life, a high-profile divorce and endless negative press related to his religious affiliations. Unwavering and exceptionally skilled at her job, Pat too was unceremoniously dumped by Tom when she dared to suggest he maybe ’simmer down now’ on the Scientology rhetoric. Like Donald Sutherland in the iconic scene from Invasion Of The Body Snatchers, Scientology pointed with its mouth agape “SP,” and that was all she wrote for Pat Kingsley.

Interestingly, Pat Kingsley seems to be representing the very same man at the center of this new Scientology celecampaign, Will Smith. She even issued a statement on behalf of her client:

“As Will Smith’s publicist I can tell you with 100 per cent certainty that Will is not a Scientologist,” Kingsley says.

Pat would know, wouldn’t she.

If you take even a superficial look at Tom Cruise’s life you will see Tom is completely surrounded by Scientologists, or Scientology-sympathizers. He has managed to suck in every single one of his sisters, their kids and finally his devout Catholic mother, Mary, into his beloved religion, enveloping himself in the insular safe cocoon of Scientology. All those close to him are working their way up the bridge, or at the very least, turning a blind eye to his religious madness. In Tom’s world — “either you’re in, or you’re out.”
posh-becks-party-11.jpg
Eventually Will Smith and Jada Pinkett will realize this, as will, David and Victoria Beckham, Forest Whitaker and wife Keisha, and any other potential celeb or high-profile minority Tom and the Church of Scientology set their sights on. It’s black and white, it’s in or out, its Us or Them.

willandson.jpg

The worse part of all of this is Will Smith is caught between a rock and hard place. Will knows enough about the inner machinations of Scientology to make it difficult for him to just walk away, but he also knows the “taint” will soon be on he and his family. If Will’s smart, he will slowly and gradually stop taking Tom’s calls and find himself too busy to be with the Cruises, and hope that Scientology will lose interest and set its sights elsewhere. But time’s running out for the Fresh Prince, the longer he lingers in limbo, the worse it will get. Fans will drift away and opportunities will dry up as people in Hollywood begin to associate him with the special brand of crazy that is Tom Cruise.

suritomcruisebig_468x399.jpg

To be perfectly honest, it breaks my heart for all of them because Scientology destroys families. I pray none of Tom’s children ever question their faith, or they too may find themselves “either in, or out.”

Spiritual faith should be something that frees you and makes your heart light and full of joy, not something that pulls a shroud of darkness around you, closing you from all the wonders of intellectual discovery the world has to offer.

Tom, it’s not to late for you either. Awaken and shake it off. Your fans would love to have you back.

  3. Religion, in any form, should not serve to divide.

The quest for a higher power is ultimately the realization that we are all cut of the same cloth. To use spirituality in any form to serve as a wedge between individuals is one of the gravest sins of humanity.

    IMHO Anyway

  5. Hey Jason,
Do you know that Will donated 20k to one of Scientologies front groups? Which is essentially like dropping it right in their collection basket or David Miscaviage’s wallet?

Curious if you were savvy to that little fact. Thus, I guess Will really ISN’T off the hook, but instead, just good at denying things (must be part of the communications course).

  19. Excellent piece D. Poor Tom will he realize before his career tanks completely? Or will he become another Howard Hughes barricading himself and his family from the harsh reality of the “real” world. If Will Smith don’t get a smack up the side of the head from all this and wake up he too may have made himslef “entheta” to Hollywood. And how tall is Jada Smith anyway? Wow even in heels she is teenie tiny. I always thought Will was much taller but I guess that is part of the illusion of Hollywood. Funny how poor Nicole had to slouch next to Tom and Katie flaunts her heels and Tom barely comes to her armpit.

Since you decided to come over and be a complete mouth-breathing asslick, I may just have to keep writing more and more stories about Will until your head explodes.

I, unlike you, actually care what happens to Will. I care what happens to Tom, Katie, Suri, Connor, and Isabella and any other person unwittingly sucked into this deceitful, vicious, cold, heartless, cruel, uncaring, vile, evil and satanic organization.

You on the other hand, I do NOT care about. Go visit your local CoS org and sign up. Seriously, empty your bank account and tell your family to fuck off and join the Sea Org so we never have to hear from your single-celled organism garbage-spouting ass again.

  27. I say if everyone is really serious about keeping Will out of the COS, that you go over to the messageboard on his site and begin to leave messages that are PRO Will, and pointing out the danger he is doing to his career by associating with Tom and this dangerous cult.

Don’t be nasty about it, don’t spam, and don’t get sucked into any sort of argument or fight. There is a way to act, and a way not to act. Be positive, be nice, be polite, but explain in no uncertain terms that the COS is a dangerous cult and Will’s family is about to be sucked in.

Will probably doesn’t read the messages, but if enough people make enough noise SOMEONE will tell him. Some people have already been over there posting, but there needs to be a larger presence to get anything done.

  37. I read the quote, “I am a Christian.” However, Scientologists, at least at the lower levels, believe that they can be both Scientologists and Christians at the same time. So saying that he is a Christian is NOT a denial of being a Scientologist.

He then is quoted as saying, “I am a student of all religions.” Scientology is a religion. Therefore, he claims to be a student of Scientology.

Are you sure that he ACTUALLY denied being a Scientologist? Or did he just give the IMPRESSION of denying it, while not actually denying anything?

  45. Listen, Smith clearly drank the kool-aid awhile ago. Likely he’s bought into the bogus claim that Scientology is compatible with other religions. At least until you ascend far enough along the “Bridge to Total Freedom” and “realize” all other religions are misinterpreted Hubbard “Tech.” Meanwhile, Will is promoting the living beejesus out of Scientology by propping up Tom “High on the Sci” Cruise.

    Remember this?

July 24, 2007 — VICTORIA and David Beckham took Hollywood by storm during their “Welcome to L.A.” party hosted by Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith. One partier said, “It was an amazing time. Everyone was dancing and eating cupcakes.” There was one person who kept to himself and silently surveyed the crowd at the L.A. Museum of Contemporary Art - Scientology head David Miscavige, who “just kept looking at people and spoke quietly with Tom’s mom.” Creepy.”

    http://www.nypost.com/seven/07242007/gossip/pagesix/cupcake_couple_pagesix_.htm

    How about this?

Big stars traditionally distribute “wrap presents” to crew members after completing a film. His recent gift after wrapping next summer’s comedy “Hancock” was a card good for a personality test at your local Scientology center.

    Fun!

Never mind that such tests are given free by the church anyway. The quiz is designed to convert people to the religion by identifying personality flaws that - surprise! - Scientology can fix right up for you.

    For a fee, of course.

    http://defamer.com/342838/report-will-smiths-cheap-hancock-wrap-gift-may-indicate-tom-cruise-has-finally-talked-him-into-joining-scientology

Frankly, that is a cheap son-of-a-bitch thing to do for people working their asses off to make you look good on screen. Maybe Smith is just using this as a promotional tool, but he may find out it’s a millstone around his neck.

Will just messed with his fan base…I will not see ANY movie nor buy any product associated with $ientology because the members such as Cruise and now Will Smith, DONATE (or are blackmailed into) their money to this dangerous cult. The only evil wrong-doers “anonymous” is facing up to are themselves in a mirror. You’re cowards. I still go to my church. I’m not a coward. I’m still doing Scientology. And please don’t come back with the generality “It’s the church!” Meaning me, but you want to make it out that there is a big bugaboo somewhere you are talking about. I’m seriously getting sick of this god damn ostrich syndrome where people bury their head in the sand and call Anonymous stupid, or cowards, or say they’re wasting their time.

I see many people (mostly scientologists) saying stuff like “with all the war etc. in the world why are you targetting us?” The fact that other things are bad, or evil doesn’t excuse the fact that the leadership of the CoS is bad and evil.

Anon Scientologist, if you want Anonymous to stop showing up at your church and protesting, look at their issues and address them internally. No more issues = no more protests.

We are only expediting the Churches arrival at one or the other. All the damage the Church is experiencing is SELF INFLICTED.

I’d suggest, if you are personally being stalked at your church, to alert the authorities. We don’t need to sink to the churches level to get our message out. Odd that someone from a CoS IP should post a message posing as Anonymous stating “Fair Game works both ways” and then you make the claim that you’re being stalked…anyone seen Buddy from the wise beard videos.
