Andrew Morton: What The Media Should Be Asking Tom Cruise About The Church of Scientology
In segment number 4, I ask Andrew an off-the-wall question about David Miscavige, leader of the Church of Scientology and Tom Cruise’s BFF, but the most interesting part comes at the end of the interview when I ask if Andrew believes Tom Cruise, Scientology’s 2nd in command, is aware of the Church’s many abuses.
Andrew’s answer is powerful, and reveals as much about the Church as is does the about the author himself. I believe Mr. Morton is no longer a pedestrian biographer, simply sharing information about an interesting subject, but rather a human being compelled to do as much as he can to right very obvious wrongs.

It’s interesting that Morton says Miscavige turned the church around. I guess that’s true from the perspective of 1986 to about 1999. But he’s the reason the Co$ is going down the tubes so fast now. He’s certifiably insane, he’s a criminal, a liar and he beats people up. He very likely learned his role from Elron himself, although I have never heard any stories about Hubbard beating people — he let others do that for him.

Mr. Morton commented that Scientology is now talked about around the world, which would also be true of a famous serial killer. It isn’t a positive and analysis has shown their membership shrinking for many years.

thanks and thanks to Andrew and thanks to St. Martin’s Press for having the courage to take on Cruise with Scientology in tow! Andrew really did his homework in the Scientology end of things! Great book, lots of good stuff in it, and the reviews haven’t done it justice. I think UK journalist/writers just get things better overall, about culture, about the world. Great interview, thanks to Andrew and St. Martin’s Press again!

Instead of invoking rumor, Glosslip might instead find the courage to ask the questions it says SHOULD be asked. Does Glosslip require directions to accomplish this simple task of requesting an interview?

It doesn’t matter what Morton says. The pharmaceuticals are behing Anonymous and they have something better than tax exemption, direct government funding to give head meds to the people who need them, especially the children with ADD. The pharmaceuticals want to stop Scientology because Scientologists stop people from taking their head meds. Put a donation button on your website and the money will come.

Ahh once again the anti psychiatry rant hears it’s head. You guys must have been busy elsewhere because you’ve been relatively quiet in here. Sadly you are so indoctrinated to the party line you fail and time again to actually read what is written. Why don’t you guys write a book? You calim to have all the answers. Yet things are not quite going your way lately. Why is that? Could it be that more people than ever do not agree with you? Or could it be that people outside the church are finally getting to see what you are all about. The thing with a great magician is that he must guard his secrets closely and be a master at sleigh of hand and redirecting his audiences attention away from what he is really doing. All smoke and mirrors. It makes for great wonderment and entertainment but once the secret of the illusion is out, exposed for what it is, then the “magic” melts away and people sheepishly laugh and say “why did I not see that”. So what is behind the curtain? Once the secret is out you can’t put that genie back in the bottle. Your audience is getting wiser and educated to the illusions of the CoS. Your members will follow as eventually the dam will break and the flow of information will be too much to suppress. Thank you D and Gloss Lip for being willing to look behind the curtain and doing an excellent job that the main media has neglected to do.
