GLOSSLIP RADIO, March 30th, 10:00pm EST - Enturbulation.org and Operation Reconnect
Glosslip Radio will be interviewing guests from Enturbulation.org to discuss the site, its mission and on-going efforts to inform the public of the many alleged abuses perpetrated by the Church of Scientology, including a particularly cruel policy called “disconnect”.
Enturbulation.org is a source for information on activism against the Scientology Organization. Founded on January 27th 2008, Enturbulation’s original purpose was to gather information on the Scientology Organization and present it in a user and public friendly manner. However, coming to the realization that there is so much information on the internet in regards to the crimes of Scientology the Enturbulation.org staff decided to shift focus away from being a purely informative site repurposed itself for community organization. With nearly 8,000 active users (and over 13,000 registered users) Enturbulation has come to be considered the public for Internet activism against the Scientology Organization.
Disconnect is a process employed by the Church to keep members from communicating with those people who’ve left the church (including children, parents, spouses, grandparents, friends and co-workers). This divisive policy forces members within the CoS to declare in written form their intention to cut off all forms of communication from those outside and to no longer have contact with these individuals.
This policy, besides being morally wrong, has lead to many family members losing touch with their cherished loved ones. Anyone experiencing this and wanting to reconnect with family members should tune in to the show to find out more about Operation Reconnect scheduled to take place April 12 as part of the 3rd installment of global protests from Anonymous.

Well, Jesus said, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple” Luke 14:26
Look it up.
So, we targeting Christianity next?

Nope. We aren’t. But if they start acting like the CoS, I may have a change of heart.
Nice try Scilon. Move along, I will not be brainwashed by your organization.

If they start having PIs “gaslight” you, you know there is an army of people that will spread the word far and wide.

Disconnection is one of the reasons some people leave the COS. Because you also have to disconnect from Jesus, Buddah, Mohammad, or for me, my personal Lord and Savior. I am a Christian and know that Scientology is absolutely NOT friendly towards my religion. In fact, they are complete bigots torward it. Hubbard degraded Jesus by writing he was a child molester in Scientology doctrine. But unless you’ve read the secret OT levels you would’nt know that. When I became aware of the church’s stance toward Christ, I knew they were a fraud. I guess they figure that once you get really high on the bridge, you’ll accept anything. So I got out of the COS.
And P.S.
You are suppose to eventually cognite in Scientology that Hubbard is God. And I’m sooo not trying to sound like a radical born again, but it reminds me of the anti-Christ reference in the Bible. SO SO SCAREY!!!!

Hey Mike look this up http://www.tektonics.org/gk/jesussayshate.html
The difference between Christia ity and the CoS is the Bible is a historical document that has gone through many many interpretations and translations over hundreds of years and is actually freely available to scholars to examine and study openly and without persecution. You guys think L RON’s words are literal and not subjected to scrutiny yet your present leader has “squirelled the tech” and rewritten much of it to suit his own agenda.

When I got declared a suppressive person, my boss fired me, my best friend in Clearwater sent me an email saying she was not going to talk to me at all ever, and my contractor stopped working on my house. And the reason I was declared an SP is because I would NOT stop talking to my brother and other ex-Sea Org members who had been declared. The Office of Special Affairs showed up at my front door with private emails they got by lurking on private groups, which btw, is illegal. The group is how they knew I was in touch with my brother.
Oh, they don’t “do disconnection anymore?” Right, and I’m L. Ron Hubbard.
P.S. It was mostly legal for my boss to fire me since I was an independent contractor — something $cnists love, cuts down on the paperwork.

I’m going to jump in here with a comment before the Scilon propaganda brigade tries their usual counter argument re: disconnection.
They will invariably say something like, “Many religions have similar processes; religious shunning, excommunication. Shouldn’t Scientologists be able to decide whom they wish to break contact with — if that person is an affront to their religious beliefs?”
Don’t fall for that line. This isn’t about the personal freedom to regulate who is part of your life and who is not.
It’s the CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY who decides FOR YOU who is declared a “Suppressive Person.” THEY decide who can no longer be in your life.
What if YOU don’t like it… and want to stay in contact with this loved family member or friend the CHURCH has declared an “SP?”
YOU get declared a Suppressive Person yourself! You lose all of your family and friends that you’ve dedicated a life to in the church… and you’re out on the street.
That is, plain and simple, totalitarian mind control.

In light of Operation Reconnect I found the following video appropriate to the theme. It is not produced by an anon but I have seen similar sentiments expressed before. I think it does make a point about the power behind the simple act of a hug. Remember this on April 12th.

Jesus was a peformer showing illiterate people how a divine right to rule of kings like Herod expected love & obedience first to such type kings before any love for their families.
Jesus gave literate performances to illiterate people how they themselves were expected to disconnect from who believed themselves above families & individuals.
Jesus is not yet understood but when understood will be seen as how to know the spirit of oneself is to know spiritual freedom.
Hubbard tried copying with his disconnection policies what he never understood about Jesus.
Tough luck for Hubbard maybe better luck next time

Correction on previous comment.
Jesus gave literal examples to illiterate people how they were expected to disconnect from who did not first give their love & obedience to Herod before giving love to their families.
Jesus was compassionate showing lierally how the systems of a divine right to rule of kings was not compassionate.
Jesus required speaking to who followed him around like speaking to children requiring acting out what he required conveying to them.
Hubbard in a very different century was not of the same mind of Jesus not having the powers & insight of Jesus

Thanks for the Hubbard & Jesus comparison and contrast.
Now, let’s make sure to stay on topic: THE ABUSIVE NATURE OF THE COS’S ENFORCED DISCONNECTION POLICY.

Well I just listened to the show and could not sign in to voice my MASSIVE dissaproval of the shift that this is taking. The shit I just heard coming out of that guy’s mouth about how bad some cities were because they had not scheduled an ex coser to speak on April 12th, or have PA systems and other things set up as being behind the power curve, what a load of CRAP. And WHO wrote the operation disconnect thing back in January, WHO decided all this stuff?
This is starting to look more and more like something that is being directed…and I would have laughed my ass off at that suggestion a month ago. I cannot believe the new thing posted at Enturbulation now, “WE ARE NOT ANONYMOUS” WTF is that shit.
The “leaders” are making huge mistakes by messing with what was working.
Comment by anonv.2.0 — March 30, 2008 @ 10:04 pm
BTW our city is not allowed to have PA systems and all our ex cosers are too terrified to speak in public. So tell that dude to GO SCREW his judgmental self.

Try to come back and sign in again. Maybe it’s just a cookie thing.

Re: anonv.2.0
Enturbulation is a website. The “we are not anonymous” statement is referring to the website itself and not the user base which IS mostly anonymous. That statement has been around in some form or another since the beginning of the forums because some people didn’t understand that the forums are open to anyone (anonymous or non-anonymous) that wants to participate. That is what the statement means and that is what it meant in January and February as well. There still aren’t any leaders and there hasn’t been any kind of “shift”.
We’re still the same website that we were three months ago. The only thing that has changed is your own perception of it.
