Hollywood Actor and Scientologist Jason Beghe: “Scientology Destructive, A Rip-Off”

UPDATE:

From Scientology-Kills

Some stats from Movie Usenet:

Name: Jason Beghe
Profession: actor
Status: in since 1994, OT4, PTS/SP
Achievement: “monkey shines”
Sources: George 4/97, Celebrity #314, #341, #286, #367

Video above is exclusive to Xenu.TV. All hail Mark Bunker, for he is wise, he has a beard and his beard is wise also. Or as my son calls him “Wise Beer Man!” He’s four. My son, not Mark Bunker

Enjoy an interview with a celeb who isn’t afraid to reveal the truth about Scientology, there’s said to be more video on the way. I can only imagine the damage this will do to those on the fence. There’s rumors that more celebs are about to fall “off the bridge.” We look forward to being there to catch them when they fall. Many people care and want to help.

Some language NSFW. You’ve been warned.

  1. OMG, this is the best news I have heard all day. I LOVE Jason Beghe and was so disheartened to find out he was a Scino.

  3. This at least shows that anonymous’ dessimation of information is working and the pickets is starting to get believe to wonder what is going one anyway that so many of these people are willing to do this day in and out. Often wondered how insulated the celebrities were but then again I think they were handled differently. Jason is a huge win if only for the fact he is in so many of the CoS infomercials…he is sort of the voice of the Cos. Gonna cost them a pretty sum to redo all those videos! WBM you are truly wise! Hey Terryeo where are you man. This is one of your idols right?

  5. This is such a wonder to behold — people aren’t afraid anymore. Someone has stood up to the playground bully, and now the entire school has allied to get justice and make that bully accountable!
Everyone who has been victimized by this cult, step up, tell your story. There has never been a better time, and we all support you!
Tears of joy! The dam has broken, and the gags are off!

  15. I understand that part of Scientology’s deal is creating this whole other language, (or, I would argue, abusing our perfectly fine language) but for me what it means is that whether I’m listening to someone support or criticize CoS, most of the words coming out of their mouths make absolutely no sense to me at all, so I just stop listening.

Mostly what I’m learning by following this site is that Scientology=CRAZY and Former Scientologists=A Long Road To Get Away From CRAZY

(I have never been at the remotest risk of joining Scientology but as a migraine sufferer to learn that Level 8s get migraines, CoS has just lost it’s only possible entry of appeal to me. ;) )

  19. Wow, we need to heavily reward brave people like this. Can Anonymous bring the full weight of economic power to reward people.

Is “One Missed Call” still in movie theaters. Imagine the spike in sales for a crappy movie would be noticed by Hollywood along with an explanation letter.

  27. I loved his video… but I hope someone out there does a Scilon-to-English subtitled version of it. Unless you’ve read-up on Scientology, the language may seem bizarre and impenetrable (like a certain Tom Cruise video).

    The gist of it?

“I made it WAY up in the ranks of Scientology and discovered their promised powers were utter bullshit. It’s a scam.”

Happier being unhappy having been stuck in the Scientology loop.

No ones saying that Scientology doesn’t have tools that don’t work for personal confidence, but the myth that you will be immune to life (see unhappy/happy) with these tools

OSA agents the ship is sinking fast. Take what works and move on out of the CoS.

  43. #19 has a point in that no amount of advancement up the levels in Scn makes you immune to life or persistently ‘happy’. Jason wasn’t forced into Scn, he chose to do it and if he decides not to do it anymore its his choice. But, the only reason he didn’t get the results he wanted is because he didn’t apply what he learned, it’s that simple. Keep your own counsel, make your own opinons, don’t be sheep following the sheepherder.

  51. The most salient part of the skepdic article is in the last paragraph:
“What Hubbard touts as a science of mind lacks one key element that is expected of a science: empirical testing of claims. The key elements of Hubbard’s so-called science don’t seem testable, yet he repeatedly claims that he is asserting only scientific facts and data from many experiments. It isn’t even clear what such “data” would look like.”
In short, bythenumbers, there is *no* good evidence that Scientology/Dianetics works at all. If you think it works, I would say you’re kidding yourself.

  53. Basic course in Scientology language. I’m sure someone else can do better, or you can google for these terms, but I hope this helps.

Bridge = the journey from being a ‘wog’ (not in Scientology) to being an OT8 (a complete spiritual being with power of Matter, Energy, Space and Time (MEST).

Clear = The first big achievement on going “up the bridge”. When you reach clear after many thousands of dollars and many courses you are supposed to have perfect recall and to be free of diseases, headaches, and all trouble. You can lose your clear state through being around SP’s (see below) or through behaving in an “out ethics” way (see below). You then pay to get clear again!

OT = Operating Thetan, another level on the bridge. There are 8 ‘levels’, ranging from OT1 to OT8, (duh hehe). At OT3 you learn all about Xenu, the evil overlord who nuked earth millions of years ago and caused all these dead alien souls to end up stuck to our bodies in the present time.

Thetan = The Scientology word for ’soul’. Behind our mind and body is the ‘thetan’ which is our ‘real’ self.

SP = Suppressive Person, someone who will, literally, prevent you from gaining any spiritual development while they are involved in your life. Scientologists are often told they will not make more progress in Scientology until they disconnect from any SPs their trainers have identified.

Ethics = Scientology has its own style of rules and regs it brands “ethics”. To criticise the church is “out ethics”, to give money is definitely good ethics though!

MEST = matter, energy, space, time. Scientologist believe they will have power over all of these once they are OT8. They are currently slowly building a “super power training center” in Clearwater, Florida, supposedly to help their OT8’s tap into their super powers.

Auditing = a process of hypnosis-like ‘therapy’ provided by people with no training in psychology or psychiatry (which are hated by Scientologists). Auditing may involve repetitive and meaningless activities that the person being audited has to do for hours until a “win” is achieved - that is, the person being audited achieves some sense of success through the hypnosis process used.

  59. @2 Cute. Nothing more anonymous that impersonating another editing identity, hey? Lulz. Maybe one day I’ll write a piece at wikinfo that tells my view of what goes on with Jason Beghe and other people who withdraw from the Church. Of course you should understand what he says, rather than only understand the snippets that bring you the most Lulz. No, Jason isn’t and has never been my idol, no, there is no idol worship in Scientology (nor Buddhism either). No, celebrities do not hold high Church positions unless they have joined staff. No, Ron Hubbard is not an idol, although scientologists tend to think highly of him and what he did. No, there is no prison camp mentality, as witnessed by a recent Miscavige relative who walked away. No, your money is not tossed away, you can demand a refund on undelivered services as Mr. Beghe did if you chose to. And now, off to the sunshine, Lulz!
