Cults Of A Feather Flock Together, Madonna Defends Tom Cruise, Scientology
Mega-star Madonna has taken up the charity case of Tom Cruise and his faltering image as it relates to his religious faith, Scientology. Madonna is well-versed in using one’s fame and image to pimp out their faith and religious belief, and this seems to be a growing trend. Recently, we’ve witnessed Oprah throwing herself in “spiritual guide” ring.
Madonna’s stake in all of this may stem from her own ties as the most prominent member of another super-secret sect, Kabbalah. Perhaps she’s hoping to sway public perception to be open to these new-age philosophies by mainstreaming them. Sadly, Madonna hasn’t done her homework when it come to the Church of Scientology. The issue isn’t with Tom Cruise celebrating his so-called faith, the issue is, the Church of Scientology is a money-making scheme parading around as a “religion” and it uses Cruise to legitimize its abusive activities.

Madonna has leapt to the defense of Tom Cruise and his Scientology beliefs, saying he gets a ‘raw deal’.In an interview with New York magazine, the singer – who follows Jewish offshoot Kabbalah – says that people should be allowed to worship whatever they like, and it’s nobody else’s business.
She said: ‘I don’t care if people worship turtles or frogs - if they’re good people, that’s all I care about, and he (Cruise) is a good person. I think he gets a raw deal, just as I think the orphans in Malawi get a raw deal; just as I think a lot of marginalised people get a raw deal.’
I would caution Madonna, before she starts associating herself with the CoS and defending Tom Cruise, she should do more research. She could start here, work her way here, and maybe skip on over to here. IF that doesn’t illuminate her into what’s *REALLY* going on within the CoS, then she’s dumber than she looks. Which lately, is pretty damn dumb.
Madonna, it’s your career, you’ve been successful so far. Although I will warn you, when the CoS crumbles, which is on the event horizon, you will look the fool for your poorly placed allegiance. Scientologists don’t worship frogs or turtles, but they do silence critics, enslave their members and defraud people of their money. Frog worshipping on the other hand, is mightily cool.

Most Jewish organizations, even those who have an interest in kabbalah (a field of study), consider the Kabbalah Centre (an organization) to be illegitimate.

I guess that Madonna would support people following someone like Jim Jones as well……no wait, that was Jane Fonda, etc., way back when in California.
She might just be trying to get an “in” with Cruise’s United Artists’ future movies. You know how badly she wants to act.

It’s so fucking obvious that she was just using the rush of Cruise and scientology criticism to promote her own projects. OH! He’s just like these poor orphans I went and did a film about that’s just about to come out Te-he!
If those orphans had a penny for every mile of dick Madonna has sucked they’d be doing a documentary about how poor she is.

It’s very sad to witness these has-beens trying to claw their way back into the national consciousness so they can feel ‘relevant’ once more. It’s like watching SUNSET BOULAVARD, only now it’s Madonna as Norma Desmond moving closer to the camera … “You can tell Mr. DeMille I’m ready for my close-up now.” Yikes!…what a creepy thought, eh?
