Targeted Boston Anonymous Member Gregg Interviewed By WGBH Boston

I have been reluctant to talk further about Gregg of Boston simply because there was so much controversy about his charges, his person and his past. I felt it was best to remain neutral. Part of the issue was related to my being aware that he had some extenuating circumstances in his past and I didn’t want to be the one to draw any attention to this, simply because I didn’t know the nature of what happened. Now that it was revealed, and was in fact, NOT some sort of dangerous, violent crime I feel even more compelled to raise awareness to Gregg’s plight.

Clearly this young man was targeted simply because of a weakness in his background and because he was brave enough to put his name upon official documents so others wouldn’t have to. I encourage all of those in the critical community who are following this story to watch this interview with Boston’s WGBH, and I am now even more convinced of how dangerous the Church of Scientology is.

They will find your every weakness, any vulnerability in your past or even those close to you and seize upon this to make you go away, sometimes forever. I’d say ask Lisa McPherson, but since she’s dead, you can’t.

Gregg, good luck. Please keep us up to date on any developments.

  1. Church? Religion? Parishoners? PLEASE people of the media…these words do not apply here. This is a cut- throat bottom line business that wastes bodies and whatever else it needs to survive.

  5. Because they identify as a religion we are supposed to bow down and allow them any number of greased pathways in and around society? Because it is a “religion” I should respect it outright!!! NO. I don’t think so. This cult like any other-the Catholic Church, Moonies, Hare Krishnas, EST-requires scrutiny and tough digging into their goings on.

  9. Um. Excuse me. The Catholic Church is not a cult. It is, historically, the first ecclesial body of Christendom.

Lumping the Catholic Church in with Hare Krishnas, etc., betrays a great deal of ignorance.

  11. While I agree that Gregg& Tom could have said more, just them being there, has opened them up to more threats from The Co$.
Anons everywhere, are proud of you! For being so brave to face this jackal on TV-(Co$ lawyer). I truly believe that these two gentlemen carried themselves with dignity and respect, and were clear of their-(OUR) non-violent, non-threatening intentions. We wish to educate and help, bring light to the dangers of untested psychological query, help those scientologists that are afraid to leave, have free thought and those who cannot speak to their friends and family anymore.(Disconnected) And to shed light on the obvious FAIR GAME policy still in operations. Thanks D, you rock!

  15. Wow! First off, Emily Rooney get’s an A on this edition of her show. Nest, Gregg and Tom did great presenting the facts! I am sorry that Gregg is forced to take on this burden because he was the permit holder. I hope he is able to appeal the case and I hope it does not effect his probation as the cult would want.

Scientology came across as arrogant and vindictive and essentially foolish. That was scientologist IAS donations $$$ at work. Pathetic.

Thanks Dawn! Another terrific report from Glosslip.

Also, that lawyer stated that Anonymous claimed responsibility for sending Anthrax to the Church, and was not rectified — wtf?

  27. amazing. just proof of what they do. that lawyer even seemed nervous, and kept repeating the same bs over and over.

Plus they claim they were intimidating their parishoners…I find it funny how all the things the “Church” itself does, they turn around and say other people do.

Ignorance will be the downfall of this organization…and the downfall has already begun.

    Kudos on posting this Dawn

“7. If we do the above as our pattern, we will successfully bring the following facts into public consciousness:
    (a) People who attack Scientology are criminals.
    (b) That if one attacks Scientology he gets investigated for crimes.
    (c) If one does not attack Scientology, despite not being with it, one is safe.”

Fu** that. This is there tactic to scare people. The Co$ has far worse crimes.

  33. That lawyer has got to be a Scientologist himself. And if he’s not, then he’s just a horrible human being…. And if he is in fact a Scientologist, he may well in fact be a horrible person, nontheless - it all depends on how much he is brainwashed and/or being blackmailed.

    Comment by Ron Brown — April 26, 2008 @ 6:11 pm

  35. I’m pretty sure the lawyer is a hired gun, not a Scientologist. He is a former member of the Boston city council.

  37. I too was surprised that the Scilon lawyer was allowed to get away with two very big untruths in one sloppily phrased sentence — one, that “anthrax” had been sent to the Church of Scientology (a provable falsehood) and two, that Anonymous was responsible (we certainly would have heard if the FBI’s investigation had found any support for that theory.)

Then I realized who the woman interviewer in the video was and was amazed that Anonymous got even that fair of a hearing. That was Emily Rooney, who, after the NC Attorney General had determined that there was no credible evidence of the attack alleged to have been committed by the Duke lacrosse players, after the district attorney Mike Nifong was disbarred for ethical violations, after Nifong was jailed for his crimes — Emily Rooney still asserted that “We don’t know what happened in the Duke case. We never will. … Something happened.” I think Gregg is lucky that she didn’t decide “well, Scientology is making so many accusations against Anonymous, some of them must be true… Gregg, you did something illegal.”

  41. It’s such a complicated topic, it’s a shame they had so little time to discuss it.

I’m particularly pissed that the lawyer wasn’t stopped on that “anthrax” BS. Press a fucking charge, get the FBI to make a statement, do ANYTHING to prove this or GTFO!

Also, agreement to hold a hearing isn’t a conviction jackass! And how does a copyright law violation indicate violent tendencies!?

That aside I think the anons held up fairly well. Hopefully this gets others to do a little research and see the truth.

  53. So his main argument is that we wear ski masks and that ‘guy fock’ masks which mean nothing…

also if you would go into a Christian church with masks on to hand out flyers criticizing Christianity, you would not be likely to go to court. They wouldn’t like it, and you’d be asked to leave, but not taken to court. And you wouldn’t hto be wearing masks in the first pace.
