As far as I know Nicole never became declared SP by the CoS and as I understand one has to do more than become inactive to become declared SP, which BTW apparently would have become a huge problem regarding the kids. According to some people, saying something like "I want to get my kids out of Scientology" could have gotten her declared suppressive and whether this would do it or not, I strongly doubt she actually said it simply because she would have known this could have made it very difficult for her to get the kids out. I also have a problem with the accusation of the Church blackmailing people to stay in the church. I for one would have told them to go right ahead no matter what crimes I had committed or how famous I was, because their doing so would damage the CoS far more than it would me.
