If his father didn't have money would he have gotten the same sentence - I think not. Vince McMahon and the sponsors of American Gladiator should bump Hogan from the shows for his part in what happened. And Nick's comment about leaving the courthouse and appearing 'where he can get the most money' really shows he gave a dam about his friend!! They should send him to Iraq - it might make a man out of him, instead of the money-grabbing little man that he is. I hope the man's parents sue the family for everything they have-they'll need it to take care of their son for the rest of his life.

I was appauled by the outcome of today's court date. 8 months in a county jail for basically taking the life of a human being while street racing under the influence of alcohol at the age of 17. What a lesson to teach all the street racers at 3am on weekends going over the Causway, Howard Franklin & Gandy bridges. The police were trying to crack down on that, but what kind of lesson does this sentence teach? If this Judge has children, and some street racer caused one of his children to be in the medical state John will be in for the rest of his life, I wonder if that joke of a Judge would think this was a fair sentence for a person that caused one of his children to remain hospitalized for the rest of their life. HELL NO! If that Judge was in the position John's family is in and will be in.. there is absolutely NO WAY he would think that sentence was fair. But that's OK.. maybe the light jail sentence is good b/c I don't believe Nick will walk a straight line for 5 years (his prime years... when he should be out having fun)all his friends will be going out, spring break, summer time, Nick will have to get permission from his P.O. to even leave the county. On his 21st birthday, he can't celebrate "legally" having his 1st beer or even if he's not drinking, he can't even be near a bar while on probation. He has lived the life of luxury and freedom, and it will be awfully hard to walk that straight line for the next 5 years. I know he won't be able to do it. I hope he violates and gets sent to prison like he should have today!

Oh yeah.. and did Daddy buy his way out of getting charged for giving alcohol to a minor? He is just as at fault. He should be in jail right there with his son. I hope John's family takes every penny from the Hogan's so they can't buy their way out of reality.

This by no means makes up for the loss of John as a functioning member of society but I am grateful the little spaz got more than just community service and probation. Perhaps there are some people in the jail who can make him appreciate the cost of his decisions. He has eight months to really become sorry instead of merely saying it. Knowing what we do about Little Nicky, I dare say with his long probation and the order to abstain from alcohol for five years, this will not be his first visit to jail. We shall see.
