NYC Anonymous Raids Epic: New Black Panthers Lend Support, Post Cards To Scientologists, Clearwater Resident Talks About Abuses At Flag
New Black Panthers share space and support during their Sean Bell protests on May 14
Anon interviews Clearwater, Florida resident who speaks freely about witnessing abuse of CoS Staff
Postcards from the outside to CoS members still trapped by the Church of Scientology

I speak in that postcards video, but that’s all I’ll say about it.

Thank you to the Black Panthers for their kind support, I hope you find the justice you seek.
Epic win.

… I wish I could say I think it good news to get support from the New Black Panthers, but I don’t. This group is violently anti-Semitic and anti-white. Read for yourself at the Southern Poverty Law Center.

I’m not a fan of the New Black Panthers, but shit– they’re still willing to deal peacefully with others(well, depending on the individuals), and they gave their support in addition to seeking justice for the Sean Bell tragedy(seriously, letting the cop who emptied two clips get off totally free?).
Now uh, if they could not be so militant and outright racist at times…
(I’d still prefer them over David Miscavige and his Magical Space Cult)

Wow to all. The postcards one is GREAT! The black panther one is mind blowing, and the Clearwater guy? Not surprising.

If I were anonymous, I would not want to be linked with racists – especially black racists
Anonymous is winning and can stand alone for the victory
scientology will try to turn this against Anonymous somehow
I feel very uncomfortable with the association of the two – JMO

Put simply, support and endorsement from a person or a group doesn’t imply a real relationship between the two. It just means that the endorser sees merit in the endorsed’s message/goal.
The policies put in place by a vindictive racist paranoid don’t tend to be viewed favorably by many. Seriously, I’d love to see an opinion comparison between NAMBLA and the CoS to see close it runs. It should be interesting: Scientology might have helped a few people but there isn’t really anything redeeming about NAMBLA. On the flipside, I don’t see NAMBLA aggressively seeking to silence its critics or have I heard any reports that they’ve actually killed anyone. (not that premeditated rape is much better)
As far as the NBP goes, I can at least see where they’re coming from and agree with some of their points/goals; if it takes you more than 2 clips to take down one guy you’re doing something VERY wrong.

Oh, and an addendum: “If I were anonymous, I would not want to be linked with racists – especially black racists”
Do you not see the decidedly fucked up reasoning in that sentence? Or at least, the irony?

“I wish I could say I think it good news to get support from the New Black Panthers, but I don’t. This group is violently anti-Semitic and anti-white. Read for yourself at the Southern Poverty Law Center.”
There is no anonymous new black panther aliance. This was only a chance lulzy encounter on the streets. I would not read anything into this. No contact has been made, nor will it be made. I was there.

no I don’t and no need to insult me, BTW
Would you want the KKK to read your sign and validate your cause?
mind your manners, it’s the image you want, right?
Comment by tuffyt — May 15, 2008 @ 1:04 pm
No one seems to understand the nature of what occurred here. One protest walked into the anonymous protest, simply because they were marching down the same street. Some words were exchanged, and one panther said something to the effect of “we will support you whatever it is you support.” Then the panthers continued on their March.
The attention is simply because the collision of the two protests– anonymous with the panthers, is simply lulzy. There is no friggen “alliance.”

It’s JMO!
give anyone an inch, and they will take a mile
give scientology a possible link to anything and you know what they do with it
and that is my opinion
can I have it?
Comment by tuffyt — May 15, 2008 @ 3:05 pm
I didn’t mean to insult you per se, tuffy.
Let me break it down for you:
“If I were anonymous, I would not want to be linked with racists – especially black racistsâ€
The implication is that racists are bad. But black racists are even worse. Because they’re black, see?
Racists are racists are racists. The only ones who are “worse” than others are the ones who go the extra mile and seek to hurt and kill the object of their hatred.
Not sure if your phrasing was intentional or an accident; if the latter my apologies but do try to be cognizent of your implied message.

All good tuffy.
The comment as phrased was just a “wtf?!” moment.
Comment by Anonymous — May 15, 2008 @ 5:42 pm
“wtf?!†moment indeed!
Anyway, I didn’t really pick up “alliance” from watching that, just two different groups respecting each other’s cause for a moment.

If the NBP members are so racist, why were they just shown on that video applauding a group of white internet nerds?
Just sayin’…

They crossed paths as the result of some spectacularly ill concieved propaganda. This is not necessarily a good thing. Basically, there is a quote which Professional Anti-Scientologists attribute to L. Ron Hubbard. A quote which has never been proven to have ever been uttered. The quote in question, which was allegedly plucked from a letter L. Ron Hubbard sent to his first wife, is a pretty nasty racist remark. Anonymous uses this on their signs (for “lulz” no doubt).

As guardian of the true history of the Black Panther Party, the [Dr. Huey P. Newton] Foundation, which includes former leading members of the Party, denounces this group’s exploitation of the Party’s name and history. Failing to find its own legitimacy in the black community, this band would graft the Party’s name upon itself, which we condemn… [T]hey denigrate the Party’s name by promoting concepts absolutely counter to the revolutionary principles on which the Party was founded… The Black Panthers were never a group of angry young militants full of fury toward the “white establishment.” The Party operated on love for black people, not hatred of white people.

A few things…
A. It’s nice to see the OSA shills being upfront with their names…
B. Regarding the title in your blogspot, “Show us black or Jewish Anonymous”, how hard have you actually looked?! At the St Louis protests there’s a black gentleman who widely distributes his videotaped protest efforts. As far as the Jewish Anons, just read the various messageboards around. Look in the General Discussion threads for general relious talk. They are there. Man, I thought you guys were good at digging stuff up.
C. As for the “racist” comments made on the chans and whatnot (which I assume is the angle OSA is trying to use), I believe I read somewhere once that if you take a word and start using it to mean something else, you can effectively change the language. The use of the word fag and gay for instance. Most of the gay people I know take no offense to it depending on HOW it’s said. I believe Anonymous’ outlook is that if you take a horrible word and use it abundantly in a lulzy fashion, it no longer bears the negative stigma it once did. That’s my view on it anyway, but I probably suck cocks.
tl;dr – Quit whining, they’re just words. It’s the intent behind the words you should judge.

No jewish anons? Ouch, better tell the Israeli protesters to stand down then….
I guess the black guys at my last protest were plants?
For people who incessantly record and stalk their critics, these guys sure are pretty blind.
Oh, and the letter is perfectly in character for Hubbard regarding his racial views. He’s stated that ‘Zulus’ are unsalvageable and cannot be Cleared, and here’s a gem from the Therapy Section of Technique 80: Part I, ‘Route to Infinity’, 21 May 1952:
“Actually, have you ever noticed how a negro, in particular, down south, where they’re pretty close to the soil, personifies MEST? The gatepost and the wagon and the whip and anything around there – a hat. They talk to them, you know? ‘Whatsa mattuh wi’ you hat?’ They imbue them with personality.”
Yes, dear old L Ron sure had a good bead on the intellectual capacity of black people. (that was sarcasm, fyi)

see Dawn’s new story about how they are going to try and twist shit around.
I guess I should have just made that one-sentence statement, I certainly didn’t mean to offend.

“Basically, there is a quote which Professional Anti-Scientologists attribute to L. Ron Hubbard. A quote which has never been proven to have ever been uttered. The quote in question, which was allegedly plucked from a letter L. Ron Hubbard sent to his first wife, is a pretty nasty racist remark.”
Hmmmmm, do I smell a Scientology shore story? There’s a very familiar aroma on the wind! The normal way to phrase the sentiment “it has never been proved that this remark was actually made by Hubbard” would be “it has never been proved that this remark was actually made by Hubbard.” Instead, Mr. “OSA” chooses the curious phrasing “[it is] a quote which has never been proven to have ever been uttered [by Hubbard].” Now since OSA himself acknowledges that the quote is alleged to have been made by Hubbard in a letter, obviously it could be 100% true and known to all that Hubbard had indeed written that very quote, and OSA would still be able to say with technical truth that Hubbard had not “uttered” it.
In any case, racism is hardly out of character for Hubbard, the fellow who wrote the sparkling observation “The trouble with China is, there are too many chinks here.”
