Did Jason Lee Get Enturbulated On MySpace? Busy Actor Too Busy To Hear About Scientology Crimes
Jason Lee, star of “My Name Is Earl” and apparently a busy, important movie star, is so busy in fact, he can’t be bothered with finding out that his “religion” commits atrocities to its rank and file members. Jason also does NOT like to be reminded that Scientology does stuff he should be embarrassed about using on his MySpace page.

I like Jason Lee. He’s a talented entertainer and seems like a nice guy. That however does not excuse his ignorance of Scientology’s crimes or his efforts to not have people criticize them publicly. Dude, Samantha’s right, GET OUT, before they destroy your career like they did Tom Cruise.

I am not a fan of Jason’s reply, however..
There is a thing called subtlety. Jason Lee’s myspace is not a place to protest. I would think if you have friended him there, perhaps there is a gentler way to approach the crimes of the CoS?
Remember, this guy has been brainwashed. He is still a person, and certainly isn’t propagating Scientology the way Cruise is, he’s just doing his thing.

Wow! That is so disappointing! I knew he was a Scientologist, but really thought he was probably just a “silent” one who couldn’t publicly get out of it. Now, to find out that he’s a real dick, well, now I CAN’T watch “My Name Is Earl.” He and “Randy” are both Scientologists, Lee is a jerk, and the show has jumped the shark (or jumped the couch, as the joke has adapted).
No more Earl for me. Doubt I’ll miss it. I just can’t see Lee as a nice mellow dude anymore. Bummer.

I have been on a personal boycott of him since I learned of his strong ties with the cult. I also cant watch King of Queens anymore since I had learned of Remani being another cultist. It’s nothing personal against them, but I dont want to help them earn a paycheck that will just be funneled right back into the pockets of Scientology.
It’s a shame too, because I loved the Chipmunks as a kid and was actually looking forward to the live-action film, until I saw who was playing Dave.

Why is anyone surprised by his response? every celeb in scientology is there because it tells them that they can become important in the show. They “are all worth millions”. This is the same response you will get from all of them. They don’t care about what is happening to the normal joes in scientology. They get pampered and just enjoy the attention.

The “Rev J” guy, some net or RL radio guy that I believe was on one of Dawn’s shows earlier, just went onto Jason Lee’s page and started talking shit that made no sense and was basically doing an online bull-baiting session, and now the two have a little war going on. The Rev J’s YouTube vid about it was extremely lame.

You simply don’t have to be smart or educated to become a hollywood celebrity. But once you become one, and listen to all the people constantly telling you how great you are, you begin to feel that you are, indeed, smarter and more educated than everyone else who is not a celebrity. Once the monster of narcissism is fed, there is no reasoning. And add to that the narcissism intentionally bestowed by the COS itself– “we are the authories on everything.”
Pretty soon you end up with a basket case of a human being with massive entitlement issues that cannot reason and have no use for learning. Like Tom Cruise.

For one thing, Jason needs to learn how to spell. Apparently all his “millions” can’t buy an education. I’m worth about $1.49, but at least I can string sentences together composed of correctly spelled words.

After reading this story, a line from Ian Halperin’s book Hollywood Undercover came to me. ….’ they’ll pay you $50,000 for a kiss and 50 cents for your soul.’ It was in reference to Hollywood, but I believe it also rings true with Scientology. They will use you as it suits their needs, but quickly dispose of you when you have nothing left to give. Jason better wake up and smell the coffee.

#41, the suffix -fag was derived on certain internet communities from extreme liking of certain things/concepts and a semi-common expression:
“I really like vans. I’d go gay for vans.” which leads to “I’m a vanfag.”
Over time, this evolved into something akin to an honorific; the suffix was effectively stripped of negative meaning and just indicated a pro- or favorable stance to what it was attached to. Hence, “protestfag” or here, “scifag.” There is no hateful intent behind it.
I do agree though, that to those not versed in internet community lore this likely appears less than flattering. However, for many this has creeped into their language and is difficult to stop using–that is a large part of what makes for a successful meme.

#42, If the suffix “fag” has evolved into something akin to an honorific, I fail to see how that applies in this instance because I doubt you or probably anyone else who uses the term would “go gay” for scientology.
I mean it’s not as bad as saying “scinigger” but I still don’t think that it should be used at all. If scientologists want to call themselves or each other that then that’s their business but I don’t think it’s ours.
Use it if you want but I don’t think it’s going to help our cause and it could possibly hurt it. And as for it being “difficult to stop using” I think stopping the “church” is probably more difficult and yet we might just pull that off.
P.S. I’m always potentially wrong so I’m not saying this with an iron-fist I’m just voicing my opinion.
