Amy Winehouse, Grateful For Her Life, Talents, And Opportunities, Celebrates A Year Of Wedded Bliss

Yes, here we have media darling and all-around classy broad Amy Winehouse, looking grateful for her privileged life and fan support as she picked up some bouquets of flowers outside her home.  They were placed there by admirers to help celebrate she and Blake’s first anniversary.

Blake, however, could not mark the special day with his beloved (at least, not with Amy).  He’s too busy sacrificing himself for true love.  After all, nothing says “I want to be together forever” like beating a guy up and spending your wedding anniversary in the hoosegow.

24-year-old Amy celebrated by going to watch Pete Doherty play in a celebrity soccer tournament for charity.  Oh, and later she totally got hammered and wandered the streets eating fish-n-chips and hollering for “BLAAAAAAAAKE!”  Yeah, so I totally made that last part up.  But with the Amy news lately, I guarantee you I’m not far off the mark.

(I know.  It all just writes itself, doesn’t it?)

UPDATE:  Looky here…it’s just after midnight ET, and see what I found?  My crystal ball was right again (or was it just my common sense):

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse marked her first wedding anniversary to Blake Fielder-Civil with a lonely fish and chip supper after visiting her husband in prison.

  3. Why not just get of her back eh? Perhaps you won’t because you want to carry on feeding off her name?

There is word for that: parisite. You write articles slagging her off, just so that you can write a story about her and make money out of it. Pretty sick eh?

Then you attract low life like the commenter above: listen love, if you hate her, why comment on her? That’s pretty sick too isn’t it?

Try love. Much healthier: and Amy Winehouse is rather more deserving of it than either the writer of this article of the sad cases agreeing with it.

  7. Well said jayneb. Many a talented poet has died in a gutter and they only call it a poetic life. Madonna’s art is so shallow because you don’t find it in palaces. You find “it” with the suffering masses… Amy is just a girl very close to the street with no family…

  13. Hey, #2:

First of all, maybe you should read my back stories on Amy before you start ragging on me, mkay? Feel free to peruse them here. However, I doubt that I’ll hear back from you, since it’s easier to fly by and leave a nasty comment than to actually look at other articles I’ve done.

You’ll find that I have been more than fair in reporting on Amy. I have refrained from calling her names or saying stupid things for ratings (unlike SOME sites), I was truly happy when she pulled it together for the Grammys, and I was very sad when it all came unravelled afterwards. I was trying to make a point by using some sarcasm, which was obviously lost on you.

But even though I do like her and am a fan, I WILL NOT sugarcoat the FACT that she is a drug addict and is behaving in an irresponsible manner. I WILL NOT gloss over my opinion that if she continues in this self-destructive mode, she will be dead by year’s end. I WILL NOT excuse her actions in the name of fandom. And I WILL NOT love her to death, which is what so many of you seem to want to do.

She needs to straighten up her life and fast. She’s been given talents and opportunities far beyond the scope of normal people, and she’s spitting on it all. She will soon find out that the love and adoration of fans, recording companies, music producers, and concert promoters will only go so far. One day, she will wake up and the patience everyone has exhibited with her will have run out, along with the money and fame.

You misunderstand. I WANT her to straighten up because I WANT her to be a success, not the drug-addled crack whore she’s turning out to be. But on the way I WILL NOT love her to death.

This place is more than a celeb site. We take an interest in what and who we write about. And if my writing about Amy (or whoever) can help someone else recognize the warning signs in the lives of someone they love, or in their own lives, then I’ll keep on doing it. Trust me, I’m not in this for either money or fame, since I have neither.

If you want a site with no feelings or heart, go to Perez, because this place has both. But don’t come on here and presume to tell me who I can and can’t write about, or tell me how heartless and cruel I am, because I’m far from it.

  15. Amy sort of reminds me of how Pee Wee overshadowed his creator… How Micheal Jackson wanted to Kill off Micheal Jackson…Fame takes alot away from art for the fact that like Dave Chapelle said, “fame stops you from being an ordinary person… I think Amy’s appeal is that she is an ordinary person it is only the media and celibrity that want to dramatize her and abuse her by what she has actually done. she’s been real at the beginning and for someone 24 unprepared we only hope she will be herself no matter what that means til the end…God SAVE AMY WINEHOUSE!

  17. ..amy winehouse is genuine. I have not seen a celeb
so genuine ever as Winehouse. She cleans her own
bathrooms, does her own shopping and she is photo’d
24/7…how would anybody love that?? Are we all
going to be looking like a millions bucks every time
we step out of the house. Amy does’nt care and that
    is part of her charm.

  19. #9..A lot of us are probably grateful we’re not being photo’d 24/7. A lot of us also clean our own bathrooms, and do our own shopping too. How many of us are sitting around doing crack, pot and God only knows the laundry list of drugs being consumed. I give props to all the celebs who attempt to lead a normal life. A life of drug abuse and odd behavior are nothing to applaud. She is hardly leading a “normal” day to day existance compared to the rest of society. Yes, Amy has some charm, but as of late, she would fail charm school miserably.
