Husband Of Amy Winehouse Sentenced, Can’t Seem To Keep His Women Straight
What IS it about this guy? I’m being totally serious…he has more women emoting after him than you can shake a stick at, but all I see is a skinny, balding drug addict. Yet he has his wife throwing her live performances down the toilet with shoutout to “Mah BLAAAAAAAAKE” and prisioners writing him wanting his bod and models showing up to cry over him. I don’t get it.
Anyway, Blake Incarcerated-Druggie was sentenced to moar tiems in jail earlier today. Amy didn’t bother to show up to see it, but one of his other women did:
Blonde German model Sophie Schandorff, 21, was obviously distraught after the hearing, which saw Fielder-Civil sentenced to 27 months in prison today for grievous bodily harm and perverting the course of justice.
Schandorff caused a stir at court in April when she was in Winehouse’s usual place to support Fielder-Civil and the couple were seen to mouth ‘I love you’ to each other.
He had admitted beating up pub manager James King in a barroom fight in 2006 and then offering him £200,000 to keep quiet about it.
Judge David Radford told Fielder-Civil he had behaved in a ‘gratuitous, cowardly and disgraceful’ way.
Fielder-Civil has already served around nine months on remand and he could be free in four-and-a-half months if he behaves himself in prison.
His lawyer offered up one of the most unintentionally hilarious pleas to a judge that I’ve ever seen, in an effort to get his client out of prison:
Through his barrister, Fielder-Civil told of his love for his wife and determination that both will devote themselves to becoming clean.
Jeremy Dein QC, told Snaresbrook crown court: ‘They are very much committed to each other and their ambition is to divorce themselves from hard drugs and not separate themselves from each other.
‘Knowing the nation’s glare is upon him, Mr Fielder-Civil has every possible motive to rehabilitate himself in the way he has already shown he is fully committed to doing.
‘He knows if he fails, an appointment with calamity awaits, not just for himself but for his wife.
‘He can now see that hard drugs are to be regarded as nothing other than a smiling assassin.
‘He wishes now to become a role model for Miss Winehouse but he knows it would be impossible for her to alienate herself from drugs if he continues to befriend them.’
Yes, it’s always nice to see healthy young men doing their best to stay away from drugs while they are in jail, and not get caught on camera smoking them up. I’m sure when he was smoking up drugs in his cell, he was thinking in his head how totally committed he was to getting clean.
Don’t get me wrong…drug addiction is a hard thing to kick and you must deal with it the rest of your life. I’d like to see Blaaaaaaaaake really try to stay off drugs, and I’d definitely like to see Amy in a rehab center (preferably on lockdown so she can get the intense help she needs). If he’s trying and slipping, then okay…admit that. But don’t try to sound like you’re some paragon of virtue when you’re just trying to get from day to day like everyone else. But, I guess trying to make Blake look good is what Amy’s money is for.
And here’s a thought…don’t have one of your mistresses in court the same day that you have your legal team try to tell the judge how committed you are to the sanctity of marriage and how much you love your wife. I say one, because the other one that he’s been writing to can’t come support him in court, since she’s in a cell herself.
In short…see all these people? Don’t act like any of them.
