Missing Toddler Caylee Anthony Let Down By Mother AND Grandmother

Caylee Anthony, Missing Since June

Please excuse me while I part from celeb news to discuss something which is weighing heavily on my mind. If I didn’t cover celeb news, I’d be vying for Nancy Grace’s job on CNN, with a slightly less annoying voice. Only slightly less.

So about ten days ago a story broke on CNN about a toddler who was missing for more than month before her disappearance was reported to the police. The grandmother of the missing girl, Cindy Anthony, reported her granddaughter, Caylee Anthony, as missing after questioning her 22-year old daughter, Casey Anthony, and getting no real answers. Finally, according Cindy her daughter Casey stated her daughter was kidnapped by the babysitter. Mrs. Anthony (the grandmother) called police and reported the missing child.

Ok, let’s fast-forward a bit here because the facts (if you can call them that) are so convoluted, bizarre and difficult to keep track of, that in order for me to accurately present this story would take about five pages. So I will boil it down.

Casey, as has been reported by numerous witnesses and friends, is a pathological liar, who spent the last month during the period when her daughter was stated to be missing, partying, hanging out with friends and staying with her boyfriend. When questioned about her daughter Caylee’s whereabouts, Casey continually said she was with the “nanny.” Casey, as it turns out, was not employed during this time, and as of reports surfacing today, stole her parents car and credit cards and essentially went missing from about June 15 until she showed up on July 15 with her “kidnapping” story about her daughter.

The grandmother of little Caylee, Cindy, has given interviews ad nauseum about her granddaughter Caylee, pleading with the public to find her and not focus on the fact that her daughter, Casey lied about EVERY SINGLE DETAIL she gave the police, including where she worked, with whom she left Caylee with, and why she didn’t report her 2-year old daughter missing for over a month,

Cindy Anthony continues to change her story, and is very combative in interviews and continues to claim her daughter’s innocent of any wrong-doing to the press, despite strong evidence to the contrary. Mrs. Anthony also has attempted to discredit investigators about details released to the public, including a detective who testified that Ms. Anthony’s car smelled of “death” when it was impounded. Interestingly, this is how Casey was found. Her parents notified to pick up their deserted car and then they proceeded to make the effort to track her and their granddaughter down. Both Casey and Caylee lived with Casey’s parents prior to her disappearing with her daughter in June.

Before now, it was Cindy Anthony’s words against the Orlando police department, but last night, the 911 tapes were released of the calls the grandmother of the missing child made when she discovered her granddaughter missing on July 15.

Grandmother Cindy called and told the dispatcher to come arrest her daughter for stealing her car (and apparently her credit cards.) She then called back and reported her granddaughter missing and told the dispatcher “It smelled like a dead body has been in the damn car.” This after telling the media that when the detective testified and stated the same thing, her response was essentially, “put a pizza in a car locked up for 17 hot days and tell me what that will smell like.”

I can tell you, while I have never experienced either smells, 17 day old pizza, or a dead body, I do know the difference between decomposition and rotten food. They are quite different.

Below is the audio of the 2nd 911 call, here’s the link to the first call made by Cindy Anthony. I have been following this story and trying really hard not to rush to judgment about the people involved, but I have to tell you, the facts don’t add up. On one hand, the grandmother claims her daughter KNOWS where the child is, but is afraid to say, on the other hand, she calls 911 claiming her daughter stole her car and the stolen car smells like a dead body.

I’d also like to note that the police have dug in the backyard of the Anthony’s home, and used cadaver dogs during a search. They were tipped off by neighbors who say Caylee’s mother, Casey, who’s still in jail on child neglect and obstruction charges, borrowed a shovel around the time the girl went missing. The stolen car used by Casey had dirt, a suspicious stain and hair which appeared to belong to Caylee in the trunk.

Is it just me, or does it look like this young mother killed her 2-year old daughter, partied for a month, lied to investigators and her parents, and now the mother is trying to cover for her sociopathic kid? I have tried hard to put myself in the grandmother’s shoes, but I am now convinced I would NOT stand for anything other than justice for my granddaughter. There might be a time down the road where you could find forgiveness for your child for doing something unspeakable, but not before you found out what happened to a defenseless child and justice was served. What do you think?

  3. I couldn’t agree more. This coming from an “aunt” who reported her brother to the Feds, because he was taking her niece on drug buys. He served time in Federal Prison. My niece was devastated because she didn’t have her father during that time. I had peace of mind, because I knew my niece was safe. Prior to my turning my brother in, I told my mother that I would kill my brother if he harmed my niece in any way.

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and it is apparent where Casey learned her values…from her mother.

By the way, my theory is that Caylee was buried in the back yard at some point, dug up and transported in the car to another location. That is why police didn’t find her in the back yard.

  5. This story gets more confusing with each passing minute. At first, I thought the grandmother was just in serious denial but now she’s begining to look shady, too. Casey’s story is bad enough but this grandmother – she didn’t have any contact with her granddaughter for a month! There are so many unanswered questions that need to be explained – did Cindy look for them? How did she let things go for so long? Under what circumstances did Casey & Caylee move out? If you’re calling the police to arrest your daughter for stealing money & a car, please don’t act like she’s so innocent. This poor little girl was failed by her whole family in my opinion.

  7. i think Casey is guilty. but i also think cindy (grandmom) and maybe grandpa too are directly involved. grandmom’s lies actually exceed casey at this point. and now if i’m not mistaked–it is cindy who was the last one seen w/ caylee–in a tape from the 15th. but theres no account of her handing the girl back to her daughter after that. they are ALL lying every time they talk, but grandmom keeps saying somebody is probably blackmailing casey, and i can’t help guessing it is her parents. the girl was missing for so long–i think everybody realises that it makes no sense that they did not report it earlier, and what prompted them to reoprt it was getting their car back. not having it stolen but getting it back. i think they knew that somebody during the tow may have smelled the car–and that they better act like they just got worried, before the cops come knocking on their door. to me those calls sound like grandmom trying to put on a show. casey is so calm- i think it’s because this has all been with them for a while.

  13. I totally agree with you! The more I hear about this the more I think that the Grandmother will go down with the daughter…I don’t think the Grandfather will, I think he’s in shock. I wouldn’t have let my daughter and grandaughter not contact me for over month. Not sure what the “real” story is here but I would have been wondering if my daughter didn’t contact me daily, i mean after living with them for so long and then just up and leave??? Sounds like theres a lot of covering up and lies are snowballing on them.

  15. theres one other thing–casey went to the neighbors to ask for a shovel. but they have tools in their shed. cindy later claimed that the shed is locked and casey doesn’t have a key. how bizzare is that? wouldn’t there just be a key in the kitchen drawer or something. i think thats a lie and that somebody was using the shovel they had and casey went to get a SECOND shovel. and @ least two people worked to move the body. i think the fact that the body was moved suggests at least two people involved ayway., one person to put the body in the back yard–and another smarter person to say- no thats not safe- we have to move it. like gradpa the ex-cop??

  19. The picture of Caylee on this website has been doctored to some extent. For example, compare it with the same picture on myspace.comcayleeismissing. What appears to be a temporary tattoo on Caylee’s left hand has been “erased” in this picture and the “bruise” by the edge of her shirt sleeve has been made darker. Why is this? This version of Caylee’s picture is the only one like it on the Internet. Interesting isn’t it?

  21. I agree. The Grandmother and the mother both may be pathological liars. I am judging and God forgive me but these two need to be at Guatemaue Bay. It really makes me sick. Why would someone who spotted the child call the grandmother and not the local police or FBI. That does not make any sense.

  23. woah- your right about that photo!–the thing on her hand has been erased! that is really wierd. hard to think that somebody involved in the crime did that—because anybody could have done that—but that is really wierd—yeah there was like a stamp or a temp tattoo or something before—you can see the light “shadow” where it was, and the other thing does look like a bruise–but now the whole image seems untrustworthy.

  27. The whole thing smells rotten if you ask me. That poor little girl. I only hope that when her mother killed her (come on the chances that she didn’t are pretty small)she did it quick and poor thing didn’t feel any pain. As for the Grandmother well if she knows anything she will be found out and put in jail for not telling. As for the mother well lets just hope Florida up holds the death penalty. That women should go to jail for a long time for just not reporting her daughter missing (if she didn’t do it)the second she realized it. I pray for the little girl. My heart cries for her.

  29. oh- that makes sense about the photo.

i would say look for the person who is trying to say everything they can remember about the last time they saw caylee. –that person does not exist. no one in the family is doing that.

so i think none of them actually wonder where the girl is. i think they all know she is dead and they all know how and when, and that date is a date that none of them are naming, – but prob very late June.

the grandparents want casey out of jail so bad because they are afraid she will inform on them.

  31. Yes, this is the picture used on the flyers, but it does not say that Caylee has any birthmarks. Wouldn’t that be important IF this version of the picture wanted “the birth mark on her shoulder more prominent so people will know where to look for it?”

  33. Can’t wait for the trial! You have summed up this story exactly the same way I did. I have been glued to this since it broke. The reason you may ask? Casey’s flat affect and Cindy’s combative behavior – that’s why. I think some very ugly and dark secrets are going to surface at the trial. We already know that Casey is a pathological liar and thief and that her mother has apparently been backing her up and covering for her for a very long time. Any woman with kids knows the type of mom I am talking about. We have all met her. Their child can do no wrong! I think Cindy is about to get a very sorry lesson. Her child can and did do wrong – very wrong.

  35. I too have been keeping up with this story. I believe the little girl is dead and her Mother did it. I think the Grandma is a liar as well. I just wish the police would hurry up and get the results from the trunk of the car. Boden said on fox news, that the police will know if the hairs found in the trunk are from before or after her death. So when they get the results from those test, I know they will attach murder charges against the Mother. Then they will go after the Grandma for more details. When the Grandma still covers up for her Daughter, they will press charges against her for obstruction of Justice. Hopefully then the Grandma will stop lying for her Daughter and they can go get the little girls body and give her a proper burial.

  37. What a sweet little girl Caylee is! It makes me so sad!
I agree that the other is covering up for her mentally ill daughter Casey.
The 911 tapes first show a really annoyed and fed up mother that was intent on having her daughter arrested for theft.
On the second call which came in a while later
you can tell that the mother had been grilling her daughter to the where abouts of Caylee and desperately came to the realization that her grand daughter was missing.
I am not a lawyer but the term excited utterance comes to mind to her comment about “smells like a dead body” in the second 911
that is when An excited utterance, in the law of evidence, is a statement made by a person in response to a startling or shocking event or condition. …

  39. Nika’s theory makes a lot of sense. My theory is Casey left the child in the car. She then cashed a check, went to get her fix and forgot about the child in the hot car. I think Caylee died of heat exposure. In my opinion, the grandmother’s demeanor indicates she is telling a lot of lies. I think they all know where the body was discarded. Poor little girl! How sad!

  41. On the question of the bruise on Caylee, I read in one story that people mentioned they saw the child with bruises and a black eye. One of the people who mentioned the bruises was their hairdresser. I agree that the family probably knew about it more like the end of June and only reported it when the heat was on.

  45. There was dirt in the car as well, I think the trunk, in addition to the hair and odor.

Having survived years of abuse with people who thought they were very intelligent, but in fact were not used to having their stories questioned, Cindy as a personality is very interesting to observe. In one of her numerous interviews, she makes hugely detailed explanations about the bruise under little Caylees eye, insisting it came from bumping into a corner of a desk, and that a punch, if someone had been abusing her, could not have made a bruise that small. She was adamant that such a small bruise could only have come from the desk corner as she described. The length and detail of her explanation of such a specific bruise, reminds me of the stories relatives would tell when someone would question bruises on my body.
I think in her heart, whether having heard an admittance of guilt or not, the grandmother knows Caylee is gone, and is trying her best to hold onto her child. I’m not saying she’s right, but thats what it looks like.
There is still a dispute as to when Caylee was actually seen or heard, as more people surface, such as Casey’s ex boyfriend, Tony Lazaro (I think that was the name)
I don’t believe Caylee disappeared at the date they mentioned. Everything is very confusing at this point. I don’t believe we will ever get the full story, I just hope she is found soon, and either given to people who will love her, or otherwise given a decent burial, so at least the public who have poured their hearts into this investigation can have some closure.

  47. My blink on this matches Ruth’s comment about leaving Caylee in the car, though I don’t see anyone saying anything about Casey being a user, so “fix” might have been a bit strong. Probably just a case of new boyfriend + pot = oops. A big oops. BTW: Cindy says to Casey in the very first 911 call that the next thing she’s going to do is go after a custody order to get Caylee or words to that effect. Have a listen, it’s at the end of the call as she is being transferred to the Sheriff: http://www.wftv.com/news/16989107/detail.html

It’s all still too confusing. I don’t think the police believe for a minute that Caylee is alive or they would be doing more to pursue that line. Time to put the squeeze on.

  51. I understand the feelings you have about Cindy because I felt she was in denial too. However, think about what the reaction would be if she did let the public believe her daughter is guilty when she has not been charged for homicide and especially with the fact that they don’t have substantial evidence to prosecute her… I am sure there will be just as many of you that would be lashing out that she is a cruel mother for not standing by her daughter. And if Caylee actually is found, I’m sure Cindy would never be ever to forgive herself for 1) not supporting her daughter; and 2) losing faith that her granddaughter is alive.

It’s one thing if you have solid proof, but its another if you don’t.

Cindy has FAITH in her family… you can’t fault her for that.

I still cannot wrap my head around this I have tried to give the family the benefit of the doubt but the doubt is stacked pretty high. I dont know if cindy anthony did something i think she is definetly dealing with a daughter that is/was addicted to drugs and her grand daughter is now paying the price for her mothers meth use. This family is full of skeletons and I want to know what happened to this baby. Oh and the familys attorney is a dbag he is the most incompetent F*** I have ever seen on tv. I am very surprised casey’s lawyer is coming on tv and allowing the grandmother too go on and on..He is doing his “client” a disservice..I believe he allowes it so cindy can gain some pity as the poor grandma…Someone should medicate her and put her too bed..I have no pity for her..

Not saying it couldn’t be a birthmark, but rather that it just looks suspicious, especially compounded with the other events in the case.

I’d have to add that this child was let down by anyone who could have noticed that she was missing from her normal activities, but didn’t notice or say anything if they did.

  85. Seem’s the shovel borrowed from the neighbor was deliberate. Cindy KNEW that would bring the police in to dig up her yard, as suspicion would be raised as to what the purpose was of the shovel being borrowed to begin with. Now, they dig the yard, probably with machinery, and all the dirt is loosened. Finding nothing, they annouce they will not bother looking there further. How shrewd. The police actually dug up the dirt, and now they (Cindy and Casey) know if any dirt is dug, who would question it, this having happened? So, they conviently probably bury the child, and concrete over. Just a theory but have to look at all angles.
I hope I am wrong, but this sure sounds bizarre. I pray they go back in and bust that concrete and recheck. I think the poor child was left in a hot car and died (thus the smell).
Seems the Grandmother was anxious to press the issue the car was stolen and was more trying to ex communicate herself from knowing anything about the car, other then her daughter had it…so she waits all this time to report the car, the money missing from her bank account (doesn’t she check her balance or anything in a whole month???) and THEN she reports more about the child, after that is all said. In that beginning taped call, she only brought up a one liner about the child missing. I think Casey and her mother are lying….and God be with that poor baby where ever she is. Right now, it doesn’t appear that she’s living. I do hope that I am wrong, but it’s looking grim. I hope Cindy and Casey get the book thrown at them when the truth comes out, and they are found out to be guilty (which right now looks to be the case)…Sorry, I am a mother and Grandmother too. If one of my kids told me non stop that the child was here or there, I would be out there on day two looking for her or him, not 30 days later. If I had a “confession” from my kid that they killed the child, acidentally or otherwise, they would be immediately reported to the police!! My heart goes out to that poor baby!

  87. None of this is making any sense at all. Why on earth would the grandmother not be immediately concerned when her daughter (who LIVED with her) disappeared, along with Caylee, the grandmother’s car and the grandmother’s credit cards? Why didn’t she call the police right then and there? back in June? Any caring mother would be concerned that the daughter and granddaughter were crime victims and that someone else was driving the car and using the cards. So did she or didn’t she have contact with her daughter from June 15 to July 15? And when her daughter showed up WITHOUT her child why did she first talk to the 911 dispatcher about stolen vehicles and theft? And if the daughter lived with the mom and dad, why wouldn’t they know who any babysitters for Caylee were? And since the daughter was unemployed, why would she take her to a sitter, anyway? And this whole story about a woman taking her by airplane to Georgia???? I hope the police can solve this mess. My prayers right now are only for Caylee, because I don’t trust anyone in her family.

  91. I too have been blogging about this case since the story broke. Sadly I do not see anything good coming out of this bizarre tale. After hearing the grandmother Cindy’s 911 calls yesterday morning, I no longer believe a word she is saying. I also listened to Casey’s calls from jail to her family and they made me sick. If you have not listened to those calls, there is a link above that will take you to the website so you can. It really opens your eyes. This is no innocent mild mannered young woman. I am convinced more than ever that the answers to Caylee’s disappearance lay solely within Casey Anthony.

Seems that the only thing Casey cared about during her phone calls to her family was getting her boyfriends phone number to the point of being belligerent with her family and friends. I say authorities need to bring the boyfriend in and question the hell out of him too. Give them both a polygraph test.

I too pray for Caylee. It is so sad that her family is more concerned about protecting their pack of lies, than finding out the truth about what really happened to her.

  95. I am so glad to read all of your comments and to see that I am not alone in thinking that this is one great big MESS.
Does anyone know if precious little Caylee ever spoke about “Zanny” ??? Most children who spend time with a babysitter/Nanny will speak about that person…no?
I really think “Zanny” was a made up person by Casey to cover up for the fact that she was unemployed. She would tell her family that Caylee was with the Nanny while she “worked”, when she was really partying/clubing/druging, etc. This woman never existed or SOMEONE in the family would have met her in two years time !!!!!
Problems all around here…Unfortunately, I feel that Caylee is gone. Probably an accident of some sort. But Casey is a horrible mother at best and Grandma Cindy, is in denial for the cameras but deep down she doubts Casay’s explanation. Her daughter is a liar and Cindy doesn’t trust her, hence turnig her into the cops. Cindy has let her daughter take advantage and disrespect her for a l-o-n-g time. Casey was given a home, food, a car…everything, after giving birth and it seems she wasn’t even required to contribute to her own child’s welfare !!!
My theory…Casey was jealous of Grandma Cindy’s relationship with Caylee. Took her away to bond with her and being “the good mother” that she is, simply relied on someone else to be watching/caring for the child…when she remembered she had a child, it was too late, so now she makes up this pathetic lie and expects the detectives/public to be as naive and understanding as her mother has been to her all her life ! God bless poor little Caylee’s soul. No child deserves a mother like this !

  97. I am so fearful for this beautiful little girl. I just listened to the audio of Casey and her friend Kristina and Casey is really cold. She is talking about New York and North Carolina re: finding her daughter, what is that about. She either was drugged out of her mind and sold the girl for drugs or was stoned and left the girl in the car while she partied all day/night and the little girl died which would explain the decomp smell in the vehicle. Someone/somewhere has to know what happened to this girl but then Casey may have just dumped her in a lake or the ocean for that matter. Since she was gone for a total month with her parents not knowing her whereabouts it is hard to say. One thing for certain, this darling little girl was dealt a bad deal with this crazy Mother.

  99. I’ve read all of your comments and I concur with 99.9 percent of them—-this is crazier than the JonBenet tragedy. Casey Anthony has no job—how in the world could she afford a nanny? And why would she need one?
    I have a some questions that I don’t think have been answered—perhaps y’all know.
    1. Where has she been living for the past month?

    2. Why didn’t the mother (Cindy) cancel her credit card once she realized Casey had it?

    3. Have any of the rest of you noticed the difference between the photograph of Casey and Caylee (Casey is holding her daughter and has a genuine smile on her face)and the picture of Casey Anthony at her arrest when she is forcing herself not to smile when she sees all the camersas—her eyes are dead.

  105. Hello All:

I too have been riveted by this missing child’s story, and so saddened by having to deduce that we have a grim and likely tragic end.

It is important to separate speculation from what is logical deduction. I do make assumptions based on my intuitive sense of the conversations, but try to qualify them as such and keep from pure speculation.

SO, Casey has been dishonest and unhelpful in the investigation which is clearly suspect. Her truths may lead to Caylee, but will also likely incriminate her. So she lies. If she was truly still believing that her daughter was alive and kidnapped, she would cooperate with the authorities to find her. She would be desperate to find her and she would do all in her power, from jail or any place else!

The 911 call with Casey & Cindy arguing and the content, leads me to believe that Cindy was at that time unaware of any facts to Caylee’s disappearance, mistrusting her daughter’s story and it seems, using the 911 call as a threat to get Casey to be more forthcoming, which Casey did not, so the call was placed. I do not believe that Cindy would have mentioned the odor of a “damn dead body” if she had been involved in Caylee being disposed of. I do not believe that she would have led detectives to the car. It likely would have been attempted to be disposed of as well, or at least sanitized.

We have no way of knowing, if Cayleee is dead, how she died. An accidental death in a hot car, found after hours, would not likely be long enough to cause the odor. But it seems to be a strong possibility that a body was hid in the trunk for long enough to cause the odor, stain (blood?) and dirt transferred (from a shovel?). Logically, we can deduce that since Caylee is missing and it is the car her mom was driving, that if in fact it is decomposition, that it is Caylee’s. Sadly, that seems likely. :-(

The jail call is very telling of the relationship with Casey & Cindy. Casey has clearly been successfully manipulative of her mom in her life and she plays a victim to achieve this. Cindy was sounding almost apologetic, as if she is accustomed to her daughter’s attacks on her. The relationship screams of a dynamic in which Cindy wants her daughter’s love and approval. I feel that Casey is the dominant one, but Cindy broke pattern when she called 911 as it was too much to believe any longer. Casey does not fall into the pattern of ingnorant young mother in the sense that she is bright enough to weave a web to achieve her goal. The most extraordinary comment on this Jail call to me was something to the effect of…”No they don’t, ALL they care about is getting Caylee back, that is all they care about…well, that is all I care about too”………….WHAT?? She is essentially slighting the family for being so focused on Caylee when Casey is in jail and then catches herself and adds her unconvincing concern. It is clear that all she wants is Tony’s number and she weedles through each conversation with that as her goal. There is no goal of trying to find Caylee. If the decomposition odor was not a factor, then we would have to examine the possibility that she could be just a selfish mother who let her child go with someone else to be free and hiding it…but that trunk speaks loudly against that better scenario. Concluding on the Jail call, my gut was that the family was working together with Christina to try to get any information out of Casey. Christina was obviously trying to keep redirecting her in that manner. Casey appeared to be controlling her aggitation and try to stay sweet, “Oh, I know baby, I appreciate everything, but I just want Tony’s number”…to get that number. Apparently Casey is not talking to the police, so how would she have a clue what they are or are not doing in their investigation into Zeranaida (sp?)? It is all a smokescreen, with Casey playing the victim. She sounds like she has a narcisstic disorder!

I do not feel that the family was involved in what happened to Caylee or that they know what it was. I think they know that their daughter is lying and that have to be afraid of the worst, but are trying to have faith that Casey does know something…they do not say, Casey knows that Caylee is with the nanny, as they likely do not believe that either, but they are holding out some hope that she does knowwho does. I suppose that they have a whole life of memories of Casey being more than what she appears to us as, and it has to be almost impossible to believe she killed Casey, accidently or intentionally, without absolute confirmation.

I think Cindy is guilty of protecting her daughter…she remains vague and does not want to focus on her as she does not want to admit her lack of faith, probably even to herself. If the grandparents were involved in covering up a crime involving Caylee, I would be surprised. But, of course, I could be wrong.

    Other thoughts:

Why do we not know what Casey’s answer was as to why she borrowed a shovel?

Have the police spoken with the boyfriend who obviously has been with Casey during this time period? That jail call would be interesting to hear?

The concrete issue must have been ruled out by investigators, or they would have dug it up?

How long will it take to get the results of the evidence testing?

If Caylee has passed, I wish her peace and joy on the other side; if she alive, I hope that she finds love and stability.

    xoxo

  107. Has anyone for a minute thought just maybe it is possible that this mother didn’t kill her daughter. I’m not saying the little girl isn’t dead (I’m praying she isn’t) however there is a possibility that she took the daughter somewhere, Caylee fell asleep in the back seat and maybe this mother didn’t want to wake the baby so she left her there…There’s been a lot of this happening and the children are dying. Just maybe something innocent happened that caused the death of this child and the mother freaked/paniced and instead buried her. Sounds to me like she won’t tell for fear of losing her mother’s love. Her comment “All they care about is Caylee” on the prison call convinces me even more. I think there’s a good chance that something of this nature has happened to this little girl. The mother does not come off as the type that would murder her own child. And she had 30 days to grieve and get over the death of her child…she has been seen crying still…at different moments. This mother isn’t as cold-hearted as everyone is making her sound. I believe she is very scared right now and isn’t sure what she should do. Just some thoughts…

  111. In the telephone call the mother states,”all everyone cares about is Caylee”, what an odd thing to say if your child is missing and endangered. What happened is the family had a huge fight and that is when she left and wasn’t seen for a month, she wanted to hurt the grandparents by keeping her daughter from them. Maybe in a drugged or alcohol state she did something because her family only “cared about Caylee”. What heppened to her I don’t know, she either gave her to someone else or did something to her, maybe even by accident when she left her in the car while she partied with her boyfriend. I read somewhere people who she hung around with (partied with) wasn’t even aware she had a child.

  115. Casey definitely sounds like a sociopath. And it sounds like both Cindy and Casey are covering something. Is her boyfriend Tony being questioned? After all, this person’s number is what Casey so eagerly wanted while talking to her family from jail. Many children of single women are abused or killed by their boyfriends every year. It’s very possible that Casey wasn’t “alone” in whatever may have happened to her daughter (whether accidental or intentional), and she is keeping silent to cover for someone else.

Hopefully the police will get the info they need soon.

  117. Dianne– to answer some of your questions which I also concur with you that they don’t make a bit of sense….
    1. Where has she been living for the past month?
I think they said Casey was “on vacation” for the past month, believe it or not, visiting theme parks and leaving Caylee with “the Nanny” while she partied and stayed with friends. My thoughts are this: “On vacation” from being unemployed–What kind of mind set is that??? To me, it is VERY telling as to Casey’s overall accountability in life. Where are all these so-called friends now??? Did they even SEE Caylee with her mother during that month ????

    2. Why didn’t the mother (Cindy) cancel her credit card once she realized Casey had it?
I believe that Cindy only realized that Casey had her creidt card(s) upon finding Casey at the end of the month !!!! Even tho Cindy has said they spoke daily and never suspected a thing wrong. Every time Cindy spoke with her daughter, Casey would say I will bring Caylee back to the house “tomorrow”…
When “tomorrow” came and went –with every call…Cindy just accepted it !!!! She finally found Casey because of the car being impounded. I believe that’s when she found out about the creidt cards as well.

    3. 121. Okay, I too have followed this story. It is so sad and has now begun to anger me. This is what I think happened. I believe sweet Caylee is with God now. I believe the family has come to realize that. They have taken focus off of finding Caylee and now talking about setting up a fund for Casey’s defense. That is when they lost me and my efforts. Again this is my opinion – I believe Casey by neglect or bout of anger harmed Caylee. I believe Grandma’s first instinct is the correct one- “it smells like a dead body in the damn car”. How absurb to say Casey thinks Caylee and the family is in danger. She’s not talking to protect someone all right – herself. I don’t think Casey will get out of jail before she’s convicted of murdering her daughter. I don’t think there is a group of 12 anywhere that would feel any sympathy for Casey-only distain as I feel and now feel towards Grandma Cindy. Why wouldn’t Casey give Caylee’s father’s name to police? This horrible mother has no concern of her missing daughter. The grandmother feels guilty for what her daughter has done (ya know how us moms feel regarding our children)and wants to prove everyone wrong. I wish the FBI would get involved and let Casey make false statements to THEM. I see Casey and family’s angle. Wasn’t the ex-boyfriend a cop? She’s going to claim she doesn’t trust police because of some so called bad blood between her and ex. I also have noticed that Cindy seems to control the family. the men can’t speak their true feelings due to her. She is getting very close to interferring in an investigation. I truely feel cindy did not think her daughter could do such a thing which is why maybe the search only began after the car and such. Again she needs to go with her first instinct-the smell of death. I guess Casey ditched the car because she couldn’t handle the smell anymore. didn’t she borrow a friend’s car? This is the most bizzare story. I live in South Carolina and I keep thinking about the Susan Smith story when she drove her boys into the pond and claimed they had be kidnapped. I watched the first bond hearing regarding the Anthony case and couldn’t believe my eyes watching this mother. She knows what happened to Caylee – she may not know where she is NOW as dumps move garbage often. This entire story makes me sick and so sad for this precious child but I do believe she is with God now-finally safe.

  123. I would tend to agree with the previous poster a few days ago, who posted that they believe that Caylee was at some point buried in the backyard of the family home, and then moved, thus, the dirt/grass in the trunk of the car. Also, the cadaver dogs that hit upon some ‘positive’ areas in the yard–that material was no doubt sent to the lab for testing. I would love to hope that this little girl is alive and well somewhere, but the forensics just don’t point to that. I also agree with the previous two posters who commented on the difference between Casey in the pictures of her previously with Caylee and the prison photo..its not anguish or even grief in her eyes, its a cold, dead gaze. Very eerie.

  127. Living in Orlando, I’m addicted to this story. I don’t walk in the shoes of this family but rather than saying how they don’t trust the authorities, I would be grateful for any help they offer in locating little Caylee! If there’s someone not to trust it’s the person sitting behind bars. The same person who would not mention to anyone that her daughter was missing for 30 days? Why? I don’t care what the reason, there is no reason to justify playing with the well being of Caylee or any human. Although I’m a single male, I can understand a mother and father wanting to protect their daughter. But there’s a difference in protecting her from harmful situations and protecting her by not coming forward sooner when there was just the slightest sign of a problem or situation. If Casey has any concern for Caylee, she’s not showing it. If I gave my cat to a sitter and didn’t get it back on time, I’d be going ballistic, let alone a child! I too pray daily for Caylee and the family. May God Bless You Caylee where ever you are.

  131. The silence from the police is good in my opinion. They are not laying all the cards on the table. Evidence is key and they have to have all their ducks in a row if they are going to convict this witch. They are letting these woman (Cindy & Casey) talk and they are going to convict themselves, in whatever role they played. These comments were very insightful and put a light on some areas I had not thought of. I had thought that the Grandmother was guilty of something but the comment of her being so bolistic on the call to 911 in an effort to scare her daughter into telling her something was “real” feelings, not thought out and rehearsed. None of us would think our children would kill our grandchildren. We have a teenage son who showed his anger by running out of the house and hiding in the woods behind our house to burn off his steam or to tell us that he isn’t going to take our authority. Then one day, he was gone longer than his usual 30 minutes and the police were called. Even though we were very irritated with him, we are still parents and certainly don’t want to see harm or death come. He was found and given a good lecture by several police which put some fear into him. They told him if they were ever called again he would go to Juvey. I pray that little Caylee was left with someone or sold or whatever and that she will grow up in a loving home but there is a part that tells me it isn’t going to end that way. If her picture makes me cry, and not her mother, aka Ice Princess, she is guilty and they need to throw away the key. I am in Florida and just about an hour from Orlando. I pray they lock her up for a long, long time with no “deals.” That attorney of hers should go in right beside her. I could slap that grin right off of his face. Something is definately wrong, seriously wrong! Casey is evil in every sense of the word. Great comparison between her and Susan Smith. This doesn’t take a very bright person to solve. Cindy and Casey may think they are smart, but they are anything but. Sounds like, up until now, they have always gotten their way by just running their mouths and being nasty to those around them.

I understand that with cell phones now, numbers are not memorized by the person, but programmed in the phone, but seriously….how do you not know that number by heart? Why was it sooooo important for her to talk to him, instead of helping w/ the investigation, or talking to her own family. She is a spoiled brat, who always got her way, and never had to face any consequences for bad behavior and now she is freaking out because she finally realized the world does not revolve around her. The focus is now on her little girl (bless her soul) as it should be, and she can’t handle not being the center of attention. She has a serious mental issue.

Either way, i’d get a court order for sodium pentathol and get the truth as Casey knows it, before the truth becomes distorted even to her. And it may be too late for that and for Caylee.

  137. She probably put the child in the trunk of the car with a pizza to eat while she partied. She got so smashed she forgot about the child. The child then died of heat exposure. This is when this monster then buried her child in the backyard only to dig her up and tranpsort her elsewhere. She may have just put her in the trash for trash pickup day. She may have also put her in a dumpster in the surrounding area where the abandoned car was found. G-ma Cindy probably knows all of this already.
I wonder if she ever offered any explanation to any of her party friends as to where the baby was. I know I would ask where the child was if she had been living with me and suddenly I don’t see the child for days.

And THAT is what will convict Casey and those responsible, in the end. However, I can NOT for the life of me, understand HOW Casey can sit there in jail, knowing full well, what happened to Caylee and not say anything. It tears me up that there are people that KNOW Caylee’s fate and are not coming forward. Its just sickening and heart wrenching. I have a 2 1/2 yr old and a 3 1/2 year old and I can NOT for the life of me imagine the horror of them going missing, let alone NOT report it for a month? Caylee has touched many, many hearts. 141. Does anyone think that maybe Caylee drown while being unsupervised in the swimming pool over at the boyfriend’s house ??? Casey had used the excuse that Caylee was swimming when Cindy had called and asked to speak with her granddaughter during that month away.
Also,(REALLY TELLING HERE)Casey has mentioned from jail in some “cat and mouse game that she is playing with everyone” for “her mother to remember what I have said in the past Mom, and it will all come together” !!!
How much did the cops really question the boyfriend ? I can’t for the life of me understand why NOT ONE of Casey’s “so called” friends (whom she supposedly was staying with) won’t come forward and say what they know. Unless ONE: They are covering for her. Or TWO: Casey was NEVER staying with these friends and was only with the boyfriend for the whole month !!!!!

What I have come to conclude is that this is one BIG dysfunctional family. There are a lot of GREAT unanswered questions that the people on this site have come up with– along with the general public’s comments on Greta/Nancy Grace too. The reactions/answers from the family members don’t make a bit of sense to a rational person. Their answers/opinions also change daily ! i.e., Arrest my daughter/my daughter is a good mother…I need the press/the press is hounding us…Smells like a dead body in car/it was old pizza…and the best one yet…Cindy describing how Casey is being denied her bible in jail, saying she is very religious/Has anyone heard the curse-laced potty mouth on this so-called religious girl ?????
Complete narcissistic/sociopathic behavior all around here.
I think the cops are maybe laying low and letting this family hang themselves with recorded phone calls/visits and with on-camera interviews.
The forensic evidence SHOULD be back by now…maybe it is the key to this whole thing.

  145. Why is the family so concerned about weighing each word in their conversations with Casey in jail? What are they hiding? It seems so strange to me that they are concerned about what they are saying to each other. Does anyone else think this is problematic? If you have nothing to hide, why are you so worried about what you are saying and who is listening to your conversation? It seems like they are orchestrating each of their conversations and making sure they don’t say something incriminating.

I think they grandmother and grandfather and brother know what has happened to Caylee. I think that Casey either 1.) sold the child to support herself and her new group of frinds, or 2.) the baby is dead – either left in the car by her mother in the Florida heat and she died in the car or in some other way due to the negligence of her immature brat of a mother.

The family is hiding all of this and what they know hoping that their daughter will not be charged with murder! That family knows where Caylee is and what has happened to her and they are hiding the evidence to protect Casee.

I say leave Casey in jail and continue to make public all conversations and meetings with her. Before long someone is going to slip up and give out information to lead to the child. If you let her out of jail, no one will know what is going on in that family and what they are covering up!

  147. Once upon a time, kids were property, you could do pretty much what you wanted with them.
In some bright future, kids will “belong” to all of us.
Until then we’re somewhere in between. We have to give leeway to the parents who “own” a child until they go too far. Then the state steps in, in loco parentis. And either gives the property back to the parents, or finds new owners.
    Until the bright future,
    1) why do people have a “right” to have kids?
    2) why do you have to get a license to catch a fish but any butt*(*#&$_ &**hole can have a kid?
    3) why don’t we pay girls to get Norplants? or boys to get vasectomies?

  149. I agree with Carolina, I think that Casey was probably partying somewhere and left Caylee in the car. In the Florida heat it wouldn’t take long for a child to die. She has spent the last month having a good time and trying to come up with a story to cover up the truth. And CLEARLY Casey is mentally ill or on drugs or something. I don’t think anyone can be this narcissistic and pathological without some of drug or mental problem. I also think the mother, at some level, knows the truth. She’s also a nut job!

I don’t know why the name of the supposed dead father has never been released, and what about his family? If I had a grandchild, niece or nephew missing I would be contacting the police and doing everything I could to find the kid and make sure that if she is alive (which I doubt) this family would never have custody of her again1

  151. Karen–I couldn’t agree with you more but I don’t think the father of the child’s family wants anything to do with these people.

    Here’s why I think that:

    Cindy’s version:
Cindy has said that “Casey and the father of the child were never married and both had an agreement that they didn’t want his name on the birth certificate” !
“They weren’t together when Caylee was born or anytime after that and then he died in a car accident around a year ago.”

    Casey’s version:
Casey didn’t know who the father of Caylee was, so the guy we are calling the father of Caylee took a DNA test that proved he WASN’T the father of Caylee, but Caylee was used to him being around so he stayed in her life until he died.

I believe this family’s lies, cover-ups and deceit was a way of life for them–way before this precious child’s disappearance !
After all, from court documents/official police statements: June 9 -Casey moved out of her parents home to go live with her ex- boyfriend Ricardo Morales and Amy Huisenga (who Casey stole money from). Casey was also calling another ex-boyfriend Jessie Grund to get together with her on June 25. And all the while she is calling (and staying with) Anthony (Tony) Lassaro her boyfriend and leaving him test messages that said “You’re absolutely my favorite”.

Casey is A USER AND ABUSER ALL THE WAY AROUND !

I am sure the cops have located and talked to the “father” of Caylee’s family and they are running for the hills.
If you knew these people you would run for the hills too !

  155. The longer this nonsense goes on, I become more and more convinced that the precious Caylee is dead. I think her mother left her in the car alone while she was out partying and came back to find her dead. She probably put her body in the car’s trunk while driving around and trying to decide of what to do with her and what to tell everyone.

Thus, the excuse that the babysitter stole her and she doesn’t know where the babysitter is now. I’m sure her Mom, Dad, and brother are in on the conspiracy, too, and helped her dispose of the body, plan their alibis and then her Mom reported her to the police to make it seem like they didn’t know anything about it.

The whole family seems to be pathological liars and I don’t think any of them can be trusted. I wonder if they know that they are all co-conspirators in the crime since they are hiding and distorting the truth. All of them should be thrown in jail and left there forever!

It just makes me sick to think of that sweet, adorable, smart baby and how her mother has treated her. The judge better never let Casey out on bail. She is a pathetic excuse for a human being and a horrible horrible mother. I hope she and her family rot in jail!

  157. Here is something, although not as plausable as the “left in the car scenerio” (which I am leaning towards)…. what if Casey left her in the car AND someone did take her. Casey scared to tell the truth because it is her fault, Although the dogs and evidence in the car seem to suggest otherwise.

The weird thing is some of her friends didn’t even know she had a child, and she is partying AFTER Caylee supposedly went missing which indicates to me she knows where the child is. No parent in their right mind would be out partying and smiling if their child is missing. Also if my child is missing I would want a lie detector immediately so the authorities would be looking for the actual people involved and not wasting time playing games with me. I wouldn’t care about anything but my child, without your child there is nothing else.

  159. This family is digging a hole that they will hopefully never be able to get out of. What is sad, or funny, is Casey thinks she is so smart. One less brain cell and she would be a rock. She is telling her friend, or brother, or whoever what the police and FBI are doing wrong and if they would listen to her (lies) they would find the babysiter (that doesn’t exist) and the baby, who sadly is probably in a dump site somewhere. a month is plenty of time to have that body long disposed of. It isn’t too far removed from Brittney Spears ordeal with her children. Thank God that people are actually looking out for her kids or they would be in the same plight as Caylie.

  161. I just finished listening to a very long and very boring phone conversation between mother Casey and her brother Lee. Many people say Lee (the brother) is really level headed but in this phone call he is talking about his own leads and his own this and that. Why aren’t they working with law enforcement and the FBI? Then there is Casey who doesn’t at all seem concerned about her daughter. If it were me in this situation (minus the murder) and someone called me I would say, “What leads have they followed up on? Are we any closer to finding Caylee? etc. etc.” Not, “oh, I just got out of the shower and my attorney is going to bring me some media clips that we can laugh at.” The attorney is obviously planning a defense for murder charges against this dim wit and is totally in love with himself – he should thinks he is cute, or something. I get frustrated, angry, sad and this subhuman is spending time explaining where her cell phones were lost and why she doesn’t know her baby sitter and boyfriend’s phone numbers. Hello! Did you hear the news? Your baby is missing?!! The cell phone should be the least of your worries. But she isn’t worried because she knows exactly where the daughter is and she is weaving a web of lies that is almost to tanled to get out of. Choose me to sit on the jury. Please! Pick me. This young woman did not learn much in the 22 years she has been on this earth. Maybe 25+ years in prison will give her a dose of reality. Eye Yi Yi! Dear God please protect this child and keep her from her mother at all costs.

I find it appalling that on the help find Caylee website, there is information for making monetary donations to help fund the “search” for Caylee, how to contribute with gift cards (even listing the STORES to get gift cards for) And oh, look, there is even a way to contact Caylee’s uncle Lee, to make a wire transfer donation online. This is just sickening. People will contribute to these funds because people are sympathetic, but the Anthony family NEEDS to look to their own family member, Caylee’s poor excuse for a mother, Casey for information on her. There would be NO search if this stupid *&%$# would just open her mouth and tell the TRUTH! Grrr….Im SO frustrated with all this!

I heard Cindy say to a reporter just yesterday…”Casey is taking the police to the vicinity of where she dropped Caylee off but not to the exact apt. because she fears that if the police walk in on Caylee’s captors they will harm Caylee” !!!

  171. What is happening here is that this family has a history of telling lies and covering for each other.

So now that there has come a time in their lives when THE TRUTH is paramount…they can’t seem to tell the truth or get their stories straight.

Everyone of them has strange behavior.

They claim they are a “tight” family and everyone but Lee lives in the same house BUT they don’t know things like the baby sitter’s number or that Casey was unemployed for two years ??????

Cindy claims (on the stand, in bond hearing) that she is Casey’s “best friend” but yet didn’t trust her daughter’s explanation of where Caylee was and called the cops on her. Smelled a “dead body” in the car and told police Casey stole the car and money.

Now Cindy had flip-flopped and is “acting” like she believes Casey’s rant about Caylee being kidnapped, claims the car now smelled of old pizza and told the media that no one reported the gas cans stolen !

George is in shock. Wants his wife to keep quiet with the media but seems scared to tell her so??

Lee seems like he is trying to help but sounds like a robot on the phone with Casey. Why is it that Lee is the only family member calling Casey???

Lee is either investigating this whole mess himself, OR working with the cops, and trying not to upset Casey on the phone. WHY????? Doee he think that she will trust him and spill the truth ?

He hasn’t gotten one useful item out of her (except more lies for her trial). Guess he isn’t as close to her as he thinks he is.

Are they all ACTING like they believe Casey’s story just to appease her ????? Trying not get her mad or upset her because they think they will get more info out of her ??? It seems like they are all scared of her or of her reaction to them when she gets mad.
I wonder if she acted the same way with Caylee ?????? Did she get mad at Caylee for something ????
Casey is calling the shots with her family and has for a VERY long time. One of them needs to call her bluff !!!

Can’t wait for the day when Casey is forced to answer questions by someone in authority, who knows how to get answers.

You are right. Casey is controlling the family. Everyone is tip toeing all around her. For fear of what? She has had no job and apparently hasn’t contributed anything tangible to the family other than having a baby. She is more a liability than an asset. Sounds like a spoiled rotten brat has grown up (physically) but is still very immature in her mind. No one has ever stood up to this young lady. She needs to take a course in REAL LIFE 101. I hope that the police and FBI are piling up information and are going to come at her full force and not play this cat and mouse game we are watching on the daily news. As for kidnapping – what is the gain? This is a high profile case and who would continue to hold this child and reap the benefits of that? You could easily drop her somewhere safe and no one would ever know who had her. The Anthony’s seem to forget there are educated people in the world. But you would have to be educated to know that now, wouldn’t you? IF YOUR GONNA BE DUMB,YOU BETTER BE TOUGH!

  175. Its the cover of a recent People magazine. Interesting facts: They did remove the shovel she borrowed from the neighbors, AND the cadaver dogs are particularly trained for the scent of HUMAN remains, so they “hits” they got in the yard and in the car, are definitely from human remains, as opposed to animal or anything else.

Casey rode with investigators to Universal Orlando, where she supposedly worked, and was going to show them her office. Once they arrived, she stated that she worked there in 2006, but no longer worked there.

The authorities DID locate a Zenaida Gonzalez, but she denied ever meeting Casey or Caylee. Zenaida never lived at the address Casey gave them for her, but had looked at the apartment one time.

How is it possible that Casey dropped Caylee of with the babysitter June 9th, and hadn’t seen her since, yet Cindy said they saw Caylee on June 15?

Forensics should be done processing the evidence. I would think it would have been more timely than this, but I also know that they are taking NO chances processing this evidence and want to make sure all i’s are dotted and t’s are crossed. The worst thing would be for Casey to be acquitted on some rotten technicality stemming from improper evidence processing…..

  183. It is not like me to get so involvedin a news stories, but this one has me very involved. There are some great blogs with a lot of thought and information.

The whole “vacation” thing is odd. She apparently doesn’t have a job and no means of support other than her parents. What is she vacationing from? Vacation? Then Mom & Dad give her a car and a credit card, apparently with no limit, and just send their adult daughter and grand daughter off to who knows where? And to steal a few gallons of gas? How far will that get you? And if she has an unlimited limit credit card, why would you need the few gallons of gas from Dad’s shed? Cindy says they were going to see how it was on thier own. SHE HAS NO JOB. How does she think it is going to go? And then the babysitter? She doesn’t have a job – why does she need a babysitter? If my adult children, and their children, lived with me and had no means of income I CAN PROMISE I would know the name of a baby sitter (but then again we wouldn’t have one) and would expect some accountability from them. Was Caylee held hostage by her own mother? Did she dangle her in from of Grandma to get her way? Sounds like something this witch would do. Hence the comment, “We have given you a month…” A month to do what? Find a job? Grow up? Find a husband to support you? Give your daughter away? Kill your child?
When I heard today that Cindy washed the slacks of Casee’s that she found in her car. Of course she knows what “could have” happened. She is married to a police officer. I am surprised she isn’t arrested for interferring with an investigation. Anyone with half a brain knows that.
All we can hope at this point is that Casey has half a conscience and breaks down soon – but she seems pretty cold so that might take a while. Then I think she has some serious apologies & restitution to the people’s lives she has disrupted by using their names of likenesses to cover up her crime.

They make it up as they go along never thinking back to what they said yesterday. Cindy & Casey LOVE the camera, the spot light. Wise men do not speak in abundance – the fools mouth is rarely quiet. Have you ever had the privilege of knowing a truly wise man/women? Compare them to any of the Anthonys. Point made. She screwed up. She either intentionally hurt this child, which I don’t think she did even though I know she is selfish, but rather an accident with the pool or leaving her in a car. Then she does what she does best, lied. She wouldn’t know the truth if it was looking her in the face. I hope this is a case that doesn’t just get lost and that those responsible are justly punished equivalent to what Caylee has suffered.

This case is baffling to me .for the simple fact the mother is not even acting like anything is wrong.I mean the psycho susan smith tried to lie and say her children were abducted right after the incident .It makes no sense.I have a theory just that what if she was doing her party thing (Casey) and left the child in a hot car for too long? Then freaked out and buried the shovel and buried her?gruesome thought I know .prays thats not the scenario. The thing that bothers me I think the most is the lack of emotion and the denial of Casey. And I have grandchildren If that were my daughter if I had to have her medicated and held down I would find where my granddaughter was instead of bailing her out of jail.she would sit until she told me.

  201. I have been following this case as well. Tonight on Nancy Grace-an even BIGGER BOMBSHELL. Tony Padilla stated that the world will be shocked over something that Cindy, Lee, and Casey have known since notification of Preliminary information last Wednesday because even more results are expected to be announced by the FBI lab. Padilla even stated 1 1/4 miles from Tony Lazaro’s house, there is dumpster that will reveal shocking evidence. Now, I was ticked when this man bailed her out, but he has since revealed that no one has complied as promised. He has looked BEAT DOWN since the early part of the week he got Casey out-he realized he just lost his money and that baby is dead. Tim Miller on Nancy’s show as well seemed very upset at the fact that he could be looking for other missing children and Tim stated Monday that Casey has never showed a “concern”.
I do not believe Cindy has anything to do with the disapperance, but has since the bond hearing been told information. She obviously liked the attention of the spotlight, inviting the media to hear her out and video her house and balloons…the change in her is because she knows something new and the media has not been all the WRONG in the questions or reporting. Cindy is facing the loss of her daughter to prison and maybe execution along with Caylee being gone. This is overwhelming to the point she cannot grieve for any one, Caylee or Casey-Cindy too has become very stone faced, cold eyes and is more angry now.
On the first 911 call, you hear Cindy PO’d, threatening-because she loves Caylee and wanted to see her. I agree with others, Casey knows how to play her momma’s sensitive side but no doubt Cindy loves Caylee! By the second 911 call, Casey fesses up because, “30 days…thats long enough they wont find remains” and tells a not-so-elaborate story at first, gets momma worked up because it was true, the car when found did smell like a dead body (Cindy is an RN, she may know this) and now the wheels start turning in the directions Casey needs it too – away from her. But because her momma has rescued her so many times from being in trouble, she is not sweating anything, tells lies, gets them debunked, tells more, faces the judge and gets a lawyer that tells her to shut the hell up already – I think being called a “baby killer” on the 2nd arrest worked her into reality, because now daddy and mommy can not stop this freight train.
I really wish others would stop saying it was an accident-Casey intentionally took the time to cover up a truth in those 30 days. Nowadays, people hear about abused children, missing children, violent crimes against children or people that EVERYONE knows what to do when something happens – call the police! Casey understood Caylee disappearing meant NO MORE FREEDOM! I think Caylee faced a violent death because with an accident, a person truly will not allow a body to turn into a state of decomposition-Casey did not know what to do with the body because decomp sets in right away, but at 3 days, things start leaking, breaking apart and rotting. I also think Casey is covering for someone, maybe that Tony Lazaro because on one of the jail house calls, she mentions “as soon as they find out, they are going to pin this on me”…what is there to pin? A murder? She sure is freaked out about being in trouble for someone who knows “absolutely” nothing about her daughter’s disappearance because a kidnapping, she would as others said here, tell all. It has been said by Cindy, “she has her reasons”, “she is afraid something might happen to Caylee”. As much coverage that has happened since July 22 on, these “kidnappers” would have been spotted for sure or given the baby up for the reward money (acting like they found her).
You know what, Casey has basically told us Caylee is dead with all her beat around the bush explanations she has told her mom-she knows they will find her dead, reason for so many lies. Cindy is just holding on to a false hope, “in complete denial” as Padilla put it. Casey is a high school dropout, but on all those jail tapes, she speaks very eloquently for a dummy, which she aint no dummy…she calculates everything-again, the jail talk with her friend, Casey quickly goes, “thats why, they have only looked in the Florida database, not the national. if they look there, they will find her”. Of course they will, there are a billion Latinos in America…
Rememer, Orlando is right smack in the Everglades – alligators are everywhere. We may never find a body.

Along with evidence that she was researching the chemical on the internet. Killing your child (or knowing EXACTLY who did and not saying) is a cold, inhuman, unfathomable offense, but doing it without remorse, and refusing to even lead authorities to the childs remains so that she can at LEAST have a proper funeral, and those that loved and knew her can have some closure, well, there’s a special place in hell reserved for Casey and those involved. The thought of her literally makes me want to vomit…
