Amy Winehouse: They Tried To Make My Blaaaaaaaaakey Go To Rehab But He Said No N…Oh, Forget It
I know it’s a tired and worn-out gag by now, but what am I supposed to do? It just writes itself! I’m just the conduit!
For the second time in about a week, Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Whatever-Whatever turned down his “Get Out Of Jail Free” card. The first time it was because he’d rather stay in jail than go live with his mum, and this time it’s because he doesn’t want to go to rehab, go directly to rehab, do not pass Go, do not collect $200:
AMY WINEHOUSE’s junkie husband BLAKE FIELDER-CIVIL has rejected a second chance to leave jail early — after prison bosses said he would have to go straight into rehab.
They offered to cut his stay at Suffolk’s Edmunds Hill prison by more than two months if he agreed to the detox. But he turned down the deal.
A week ago he was told he would be released if he went to live with his mother in Nottinghamshire and wore an electronic tag.
But again he chose his grubby life behind bars over freedom.
What a lovely bloke and caring husband he is.
Last night a friend of Amy said: “This will be another blow for her. Blake could have gone to rehab and sorted himself out but would rather see out his sentence in prison.
“All he wants is a free reign when he leaves, which means living with Amy back in Camden.
“But if he is turning down these chances to leave jail and get clean, it doesn’t bode well for him and Amy when he finally does get out.”
I’m telling you, this guy sounds like a winner. Where can I get me one of these?
I mean, I know it is extremely difficult to kick a drug habit, but this guy isn’t even trying…he isn’t even half-heartedly trying. He isn’t even acting like he’s trying. It’s just two fingers up to the world.
Seriously…what kind of husband decides to stay in jail instead of getting out early to see the wife whom he supposedly loves dearly? The same wife who has declared her undying love for him (with one or two detours, of course, but who’s counting…it isn’t like he hasn’t gotten a bit “distracted” himself behind bars)? The wife who gives him shoutouts (when she’s capable of performing), who came to the trial (well, some of it), who visited him in prison (sometimes), who undoubtedly pays for his drugs (the most likely scenario)?
A selfish, self-centered, drug-addicted junkie, that’s who. I doubt it will happen, but the best thing Amy could do is kick his sorry butt to the curb once he does finally wander out of jail. This guy doesn’t want to get clean, like he’s promised Mitch Winehouse, and he doesn’t want to make a new life with his wife, helping her to kick her own filthy drug habit. No, like too many addicts, he just wants his own way and he’s just biding his time until he gets it. At this rate, neither he nor Amy will be able to stay clean for any length of time at all once he does finally emerge.
Besides, why would he want to leave? All the drugs he wants and no Amy to beat him up! He’s probably kicking himself for not thinking of it sooner!
I mean, they’re basically trying to throw him OUT of jail, and he just won’t go away!
“‘EY, prisioner, go ‘ome!”
“Nooooooooooo…I wonna stay ‘ere!”
