Is Tom Cruise Trying To Recruit Vanessa Hudgens, Or Is It Just A Funny Coincidence?

Next thing you know, she’ll be disappearing for a couple of weeks and will re-emerge with the Katie Zombie Stare.

High School Musical 3 star Vanessa Hudgens got a chance to meet Tom Cruise recently and thought the experience was totally kewl:

The scenario that led up to their meeting started when Victoria Beckham invited the teen actress to attend a Spice Girls concert.   When she arrived Katie Holmes, Tom and Suri were also in the same VIP box.  According to Vanessa: “Victoria was like, ‘you know Tom and Katie don’t you?’  I’m like No!  And I got to talk to them, they are really great people.”

Vanessa went on to say that he gave her some advice about dealing with her life in the limelight.  “He was so sweet and such a nice guy…just telling me there isn’t much that you can do, it’s just part of your life and you have to accept it.  He is an amazing guy and I look up to him.”

The next thing we’ll be hearing is that she’s embracing Scientology.  She seems ripe for the plucking Tom.

Uhoh…and another one bites the dust.

To be fair, there’s nothing linking Vanessa, Tom, and Scientology other than the taint of association.  However, this is how they operate…was it just coincidence that Vanessa found herself in the same VIP box as Tom?  Were the Beckhams, who have always adamantly denied that they are agents of the cult (and I don’t know, I can’t see Victoria parting with her money to this so-called church), either witting or unwitting parties in trying to recruit Vanessa?  She’s a hot young star right now, and many young girls look up to her (and many guys want her), and that’s just the sort of celeb Scientology wants right now in an attempt to revamp their image.

Plus, her relationship with Zac Efron continues, and I bet Scientology bosses are salivating at the thought of getting their hands on him (no, I didn’t mean that like it sounded…okay, maybe a teeny bit).  Can you imagine the press if Vanessa and/or Zac are recruited?  Forget JLo, that would be news!

But “it’s just part of your life and you have to accept it”?  What, is this a cancer diagnosis?  A severed limb?  A death in the family?  It sounds like Tom is talking about something horrible and traumatic, not a show business career that has netted him millions in the bank.  Nobody went off to war, Tom…as difficult as I can imagine some celebs lives can be with the intrusive press and insensitive fans, I can think of worse things.  But y’know, Scientology can help you with that!

  1. Typical recruitment tactic is the Compliment Sandwich:

The set-up is an invite to a controlled location where it’s just the victim and several recruiters.

First the compliment, “Hey Vanessa, I’m a big fan. You’re very smart & talented.”

Then the critique, “You know you have no control over your life.”

Another compliment, “Smart & talented people (like us) have to learn to just accept things.”

And finally forcing the sandwich down the victim’s throat, “Would you like to come with us to our church?” … *smile and stare blankly … persist if necessary.

No. Nothing is done by ‘coincidence’ in $cientology.
Dealing with life in the lime-light? $cientology can help you with that! (NOT)

$cientology’s ever shrinking numbers have them desperately attempting to sucker in a new generation of celebrities. The celebrities who soak up this crap are all that keeps the cult from fading into obscurity.

I wonder if Tommy boy has visited the Sea Org lately to get a glimpse of the poor $cientologists (including children) live?

  5. Sorry for the apparent non sequitur here but it is kind of on topic re: Tom Cruise/Scientology….
A long time scientologist called Uwe Stuckenbrock died in LA last week. He was once the head of securiity but later put on their prison gulag routine the RPF) after he tried to escape. He had an accident, injuring himself badly, and then developed MS. Since then he had been kept as a “downstat” on the Rehabilitation Project Force, deteriorating, whilst his ex-wife was made to divorce him. You may be able to see pics [unconfirmed] of his ex-wife on the web because she is David Miscavige’s “upstat” personal assistant (Head of Scientology) and they may have been seen toether as a foursome with Cruise and Holmes at a notorsports event recently.

Uwe’s brother Markus is not in the cult and, from Germany, is desperately trying to find out information. Their father (on staff in the cult in Germany)and his ex-sister-in-law in the USA are not helping.

  7. I hope Vanessa has a good agent to tell her what will happen to her marketability if she starts up with the Cult

  9. I wouldn’t trust anybody that was a scientologist if I were her. All they want is her money.

  13. Eva, you don’t get it. It’s his job to recruit whenever possible. And has been proven to try to recruit other actresses.
I can’t wait for Scientology to hit rock bottom.
Claiming to give spiritual freedom and charging a hefty amount for no such thing.

  15. ^ Eva, we are concerned because, in case you haven’t been following (and I suspect you haven’t) the so-called ‘Church’ of Scientology has been having a ‘little bit’ of trouble recently with bad PR and such.

By hooking someone young and hip (i.e. vulnerable) like Vanessa Hudgens into the cult, the COS hopes to revitalize itself in the public eye and hopefully, lure in other unsuspecting victims who idolize this young actress. All of whom will pay money to be part of this so-called ‘religion’ because by their reasoning, ‘If she’s doing it, it MUST be good!’

  21. He’s going for the young ones now. Scientologists aren’t even supposed to associate or socialize with anyone unless they are a scientologist also or they are recruiting. Tom was very vulnerable when he was recruited by Mimi Rogers, they helped him with his dyslexia and offered education courses. The biggest problem with the “religion” is the founder, the science FICTION writer, L Ron Hubbard (just google him). Also, the excommunication from family members and friends who don’t share your beliefs is wrong.

The most successful celebs right now don’t belong to this group. I think its bad for your career. Run away Vanessa!

  23. Anything that Cruise does .. you can be sure he has an agenda behind it which invloves the Cult of Scientology.

The vampire part he played years ago suits him just fine. He is a vulture vampire and the only thing on his brainwashed mind is to recruit, recruit, recruit and work for the cult. He is a Miscavige’s puppet and it is sad he has dragged so many people into it and continues to do so. This cult is on it’s way down.. it may take a while , but it has to happen eventually.

And I wish the FBI would get off their butts and make a move before one more person gets tricked into this Money grubbing CULT.
