Johnny Depp As The Mad Hatter
Yeah, I’d say he’s the Mad Hatter. I’d be mad too, if I had to wear that hat. (Yes, I know it refers to being a bit crazy and not angry, so stifle.)
Srsly. This looks like all his previous characters got together, pooled all their genetics, injected themselves into Helena Bonham Carter, and then got birthed. Or vomited up. Either way, this is one hot mess.
Well, with the exception of Captain Jack Sparrow. He’s entirely too cool for this nonsense. That being said, kudos to Johnny Depp for once again stretching himself as an actor.
Just why do all of Tim Burton’s characters look like heroin addict Pierrots?

Lately I’ve been unimpressed with Burton’s work, but him doing Alice In Wonderland? It’s like, why didn’t he do this YEARS ago? Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands era Burton would have made the craziest movie ever. Now it’s just going to be dark, sexually ambiguous, and all the goth kids will eat it up.
It is the first Burton movie I’ve looked forward to in a while, though
And with him, the characters probably really WILL be heroin addicts.

Ive never tried heroin but i might spike a vein during the movie to heighten the effects.

Ronnie-you’re a stitch!
That being said, the article says it all-Johnny once again proving why he’s one of the best. Not afraid to push the envelop-not afraid to try something different. He is one of the best-for sure. Can’t wait! 2010 you say? oh cripes! I may be dead by then!

It’s one of my favorite books, and he’s one of my favorite actors, so this is a definite must-see for me.

Johnny and Burton are a great team. I have to say, Beetlejuice is a classic and watched MANY times in our house!

A real must see for me, great Burton work on Scissor Hands especially. Depp is such a magnet to check out a pic. Love both guys. My cousin had the book Alice in Wonderland when I was a kid so I got to catch glimpses of it, enjoyed it immensely eager to see what Tim does with this one, having a good time just imagining, I feel like a kid again. Kisses and all the best to them.
