Well, thanks for the non-advice. I didn’t figure you’d come up with anything concrete or interesting, but I thought I’d give it a shot.

Oh, btw, in case you’ve been reading here, we’ve been basically on hiatus for the Christmas holidays so we could spend time with our children and families…who are ultimately much more important than some celeb site. I’ve been doing some periodic updating here but nothing substantial so that I could be with my kids. I saw when this story came out, but I wasn’t interested in reporting on it then…since, say it with me, I was spending time with my kids.

Besides, Oprah and her people have kept this in the news and talked about it on Tuesday’s show…Tuesday, as in yesterday (January 6). They had to keep it in the news to build up excitement between the taping and the airing. So this story is actually pretty current, seeing as how her show was aired, let me check…yesterday.

Celebs are always going to be doing something stupid, but my kids won’t be home forever, so I chose to wait on the story. If that doesn’t sit well with your delicate sensibilities, there are lots of other sites which I am sure would be thrilled to be graced by your presence. Unless you just love to take specific time out of your day to come here.

Just go back and check the gossip archives from sites like Defamer, Gawker, TMZ, etc. (anything from 2 or 3 weeks ago will do) and you’ll be all set with what should be tons of new information for you.

oprah is a complete bore, i have never in my life seen anyone as narcissist and self absorbed as her. she seems to think the whole world is interested in her every utterance. it was even on larry king last nite, he rebroadcast almost her whole show where she was talking about it.

I could not believe that the news media spent 2 weeks covering Oprah’s latest obsession with herself and that she actually spent an entire show talking about it this week. Thank you for saying here that we’ve all had enough of it. You’re right, lots of people her age have weight problems, she needs to get over herself, sheesh.
