Good article, but I’d like to point out that, unlike Lindsay Lohan and the Olsen twins, who at least made some money in their earlier years, Paris never did anything other than go to parties and be a skank. Sure, she has done some crappy reality shows and that kind of stuff, but I really doubt she would have had the oportunity to do those things if her parents weren’t millionaires.

Perhaps you should read the article again where it says perhaps Abigail will take her parents lessons with her? and that chores and and to teach her about the almighyt dollar is a good thing??

Your daugter pulls in 2 million a flick also? How can you compare the two?

Thirteen year olds have plenty of things to spend money on, whether it be music, clothes, or whatver they want within reason.

THIRTEEN DOLLARS IS TOO CHEAP for someone who pulls in over 2 million a movie. That’s my opinion and I am sticking with it.

Oh by the way.. this is a GOSSIP blog…. in case you didn’t know.

I think you are completely off base. After hearing of this system of giving an allowance from NPR (not saying her parents heard the same thing but it appears it is not uncommon) I actually started giving my daughter an allowance at the age of 10, giving her 10 dollars. That increased by a dollar a year until she was 14 when it increased to 20. At 15 it went to 25. If she did extra she got extra.

This is a perfectly fine amount for a 13 year old whose needs are apparently being met by her parents. Your gossipmongering comparisons with that bitch Gosselin or your “I’m not saying…” when you really are, are cheap shots against parents you admit you know nothing about.

Perhaps her parents have their heads firmly on their shoulders and want their daughter to appreciate the value of a dollar instead of having it flung at her. No one knows what the future holds, and if her acting career does not last into adulthood, then she will have the money she made as a child and the ability to budget it and live within her means.

You should be ashamed by how much you wrote to say absolutely nothing.

13 bucks doesn’t seem like too small. I mean, seriously? What’s she going to go spend it on? She’s only 13, with no car, and no reason to go to the mall by herself. Seems like common sense on her parents part, to me.
