Katie Holmes More Afraid Of Being Asked About Scientology, Than She Is Of The Dark

If anyone tells me it is normal behavior for an actor or actress to ask a film crew to sign waivers stating that they promise not to ask them about their religion, then let me show you the door. Is it me? Or aren’t people supposed to be proud of their religion? Wouldn’t people be excited to tell you about it? Granted Scientology is certainly NOT a religion by any far stretch of the imagination, but obviously its members believe it is a religion.
Even though, oddly enough, Scientology con man and founder L. Ron Hubbard himself once stated that Scientology was in fact NOT a religion. Confused? So are its cult members.
Scientology thrives on keeping its members in the dark about its teachings. If you ask any Scientologist what Scientology is about, most will tell you it’s best for you to go buy their book Dianetics. Which is only one of many books written by sci fi hack Hubbard and also one of the biggest pieces of dribble in his collection of gobbledy goop “teachings” that will leave you scratching your head.
So getting back to Katie and her upcoming film, Who’s Afraid of the Dark? which she is filming in Australia, and we reported on a short while back.
Apparently Katie is more afraid of being asked about Scientology, than she is the dark. So afraid in fact, that she (or most likely Tom) has asked the film crew for her new movie to sign agreements stating that they will not ask her anything about Scientology. And sure, one can argue, that Katie is at work, and does not want to talk about her private life, but to have people sign agreements? I think that is a little overkill. Maybe this has something to do with the recent story of four ex-Scientology top execs that have finally come forward and spoken out in a scathing three part series from the St. Petersburg Times.
But then again, maybe it’s the fact that Scientology has become a complete and utter embarrassment now.
I find this request of the film crew beyond telling, especially for the mere fact that Tom Cruise and many other celebutards have dumped SO much money into the cult, but yet he doesn’t want Katie or himself to be asked about it. Can it be because the last time he spoke about Scientology, it created such a circus of backlash that he still hasn’t recovered from it and probably never will? Everyone remembers what happened when Tom spoke about Scientology in the past, it only made a giant mess for Scientology, and made him look like the arrogant, brainwashed buffoon that he is. Perhaps I am being glib.

Who Can Forget This Disastrous Interview?
You would think if Scientology was so fantastic, and had ANY proven data about their “tech” working and that “Clears” actually existed, then members would want to shout it from the mountain tops and share it with the world. Oh Scientology wants to share it with the world alright, but not for free. They are not willing to let you in on what Scientology is all about completely until you plunk down hundreds of thousands of dollars so you can start your “journey” up their many levels to the ”Bridge To Total Freedom“, which we at Glosslip call the “Bridge To Nowhere and Financial Ruin,” and also which is obviously nothing more than a money making pyramid scheme.
Not for nothing, but I would be REALLY pissed if I spent all that money, only to find out that the information they are selling for loads of money, I could learn for free on the internet. To make matters worse, to then find out (after a butt load of MORE money) that my “meat body” is covered with space alien body thetans that I have to audit away on an e-meter. See! I just saved ya a ton of cash there!
What I find more ironic or I should say moronic, is that L. Ron Hubbard stated “When in doubt, communication is the universal solvent“. This couldn’t be farther from the truth when it comes to the cult Scientology. If this was the case, they why are members so tight lipped and forbidden to talk about the levels of Scientology? And why do members speak in the beyond dorky Scientlogese lingo in which they use acronyms that only other Scientologists can understand? Speaking Scientolgese is not about being part of an elite “church” of Homo Novis. (an elite race of their own, supierior over all others) It’s about being secretive and childish. But that’s what Scientology’s behavior is all about.
The Herald Sun reported Katie and Tom’s visit, the film crew signed statements and a little bit of shopping:
KATIE Holmes is about to start filming her new movie, Don’t Be Afraid Of The Dark, but some questions from the crew will not be allowed.
The Batman Begins actor will begin filming on the closed Docklands set this week, as she, husband Tom Cruise and daughter Suri continue to explore Melbourne’s sights and stores.
One film source from the set said that each crew member had signed agreements saying they would not ask the superstar about her religion, Scientology.
The couple, who have braved chilly weather to explore the city and have happily chatted to locals, are notoriously private when it comes to questions or discussions about their religion.
Holmes has never publicly addressed converting to Scientology since she started dating Cruise in early 2005.
The famous family was entertained late on Friday night for Cruise’s 47th birthday celebration by singer Kate Ceberano, a fellow Scientologist who has known the couple for years.
Good friend and Crown casino owner James Packer also attended.
Cruise and Holmes are staying at the luxury Crown penthouse after searching Melbourne for appropriate accommodation, including some Toorak mansions.
Crown staff remain tight-lipped about the exact details of the star couple’s stay, most likely at the direction of Packer, who has taken a personal interest in their time in Australia.
But Holmes and Cruise have taken advantage of some of Crown’s shops, with Burberry reportedly closing its doors during the week to let Holmes go on a shopping spree.
Reports suggested the actor spent $50,000 on an alligator skin handbag, as part of an $85,000 bill, but staff would not discuss any details.
However, a spokesperson did confirm the store does stock an alligator skin handbag worth $50,000 – a favourite with wealthy VIP customers – which is locked away in a private safe.
Cruise was a vocal supporter in the Crown box at the Collingwood-Essendon game at the MCG on Friday night before his party, while his wife appeared less interested in what would be a foreign game.
The Valkyrie actor is no stranger to football – while married to Nicole Kidman in the 1990s, he went to see the Sydney Swans.
It is believed Cruise will not be in Melbourne for the entirety of his wife’s movie shoot.
SCIENTOLOGY:
Scientology is a controversial religion based on the theories of science fiction author L. Ron Hubbard.
The church claims Earth is a prison planet, home to the souls of millions of inter-galactic beings murdered by an evil alien overlord named Xenu.
French and German governments have begun actions to ban Scientology.
Kudos to the Herald for including that very important bit of information at the end of their article. It is apparent that thankfully more and more of the media is getting the word out on Scientology, whether Scientology likes it or not. And that word is not at all positive to say the least. The press isn’t being as fearful of litigation from Scientology any more, and it’s a big step in the right direction. This of course excludes the shameless PR press releases posted by Scientology themselves, which have been popping up all over as damage control for the SP Times articles. They paid or I should say their members paid big bucks for many new TV ads. They have gone so far as to release press releases on the Internet and in papers on news that happened years ago. I have read several Scientology press releases myself about the Scientology Volunteer Ministry helping (I use this term lightly), in other countries. The VM is a front group known by critics as the Vulture Ministries.
Not only where these Scientology press releases trumped up and extremely deceptive, they were reporting OLD news! Did they think no one would notice that the stories were old? Sadly, many readers don’t know these stories are old news, and that is exactly what Scientology was counting on. So Scientology will talk…but only about phony and old PR.They will never talk about what really is going on within their cult. It’s Scientology BS recycling BS.
Once again…Scientology doing it wrong.
I also find Katie’s hush hush request very puzzling, due to the fact that Scientology has been on a spending spree and trying to refurbish its MANY unkept and vacant properties, so they can give the false appearance of continual success and expansion to its members, to keep the money rolling in, even though many of their “orgs” are as empty as ghost towns. There has been talk of Scientology actually having to ship in members from other orgs to make their PR pictures for their new orgs look like they are flourishing. But savvy people on the Why We Protest forum noticed that many of the members in these PR pictures were NOT from that particular org, and were actually from other orgs in other states.
Scientology did the same recently for their Malmo Sweeden org. Since they only had eleven actual members in that org, they had to bus people in from nearly 500 miles away to make it look like the opening was a huge success. The majority of the people in the Sweden PR picture were Hungarians according to WWP. The same deal when they had the PR pictures taken for their Nashville Tennessee org .
The PR picture for their Nashville org used some Sea Org members to pose in the picture to make it look like more staff and a full and happy org.

Nashville PR Picture Filled With Sea Org Members
Recently, Scientology erected a giant brand new LED sign and golden cross on their LA Pac Base org also nicknamed “Big Blue” (because it is big and a bilious blue). This org was the book title of ex-Scientology member, John Duignan’s book, The Complex. As this org was also called the Complex.
One has to wonder why it took Scientology so many years to fix this eye sore and why the rest of the building is still in such disrepair. It is probably way out of code, it has broken windows, an outdated and shoddy interior and probably needs a serious amount of work. But as long as it looks pretty (it’s WAY ugly) from the front of the building and from afar in the night sky with their sparkling LED sign, Scientology continues on with their smoke and mirrors dog and pony show. I still don’t understand why LA would allow such a huge sign to be erected in a semi residential area? But then again, they allowed Scientology to rename a street L. Ron Hubbard Way years ago. Why would ANY town allow a street to be renamed after a con man of a cult? One has to wonder what exactly happened in that ridiculous decision. BIG shame on you LA!!
Furthermore, all these renovations of course are being paid for by pressing cult members around the world for more and more ”donations” through phony campaigns of urgency. Whether it be more money for their empty shell of a building, the Super Power Building (can’t say this with a straight face) down in Clearwater Florida or asking for donations for their phony library drives, where they tell members that they are buying Scientology books to place in all the libraries state wide. FYI…The libraries have been either returning the books, throwing these books out or selling them for a 1.00 a piece at their book sales. They simply don’t want them.
Also all these new building renovations sadly means that they are working their way below minimum wage slave labor Sea Org members into exhaustion. All this deception and the fact that people are leaving Scientology left and right, doesn’t sound like a “church ” I would want to to be proud of or to talk about. Oh!!!! I get it now.
And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention…A big BOO to Katie for picking out a $50,000.00 alligator skin bag on her $85,000.00 shopping spree, tsk tsk Katie! But at least that is $85,000.00 the cult won’t get their mitts on!
Let’s hope that Katie receives some much needed alone time away from Tom and she wakes the hell up. Katie and Suri should be free to speak and think freely without fear, as well as all members in the grasp of this insidious cult. Maybe Katie not wanting to talk about Scientology is a good sign. Of course, only time will tell. But Scientology’s seems to be running out of time. By the time Katie is ready to talk about Scientology, maybe it will be in a tell all book about her life with Tom and Scientology. She would be an even bigger gazillionaire, and put that final nail in Scientology’s coffin. And Scientology couldn’t do a damn thing about it.
Are you listening Katie? Be the hero. Get that pen out girlfriend and start writing! There’s a big empty spot waiting for you on the best seller’s list!

Queen, I have always been amazed at how this group is the opposite of what they claim: they are not intelligent; they don’t avoid drugs (not tobacco or alcohol, at any right–just aspirin, vaccines, prescribed drugs); they are not open; they DO lie (at least at the top levels; they reflect their founder, as Judge Gessell said.
BTW, before the robots come on: look at the Wiccan religion, founded the same year (1954). Much bigger (500,000 active US members). Has strange beliefs (worship witches). But they don’t hold themselves out as raising you IQ by 50 pts. or solving cancer, depression, etc. and we leave THEM alone.
Comment by Jim — July 7, 2009 @ 1:17 pm
I’ve notied many “celebrities” recently have advised interviewers that any discussion about their “religion” is personal and off-limits.
Ooookaaaay. THAT’S real normal. I guess it’s getting harder to defend a cult with a rep the Mafia wouldn’t envy.

Should have said many “$cientology” celebrities. I didn’t mean celebs in general.

I’m guessing the “no scientology talk” contract was one of Cruise’s brilliant ideas. I’m sure he doesn’t want anyone saying anything to Katie about what a dangerous organization it is that she belongs to and her husband promotes.
No telling with Creepy Cruise.

You are on a full-out, no-holds-barred attack against Scientology and start it with wondering why Katie Holmes required of the film crew not to discuss Scientology with them.
So if you are a Scientologist (like I am), you are bad, wrong, evil, etc.. If you require people to leave you alone and stop discriminating based on your religion, you are bad, wrong, evil, etc.
So it seems like the day you choose Scientology as your religion, by that fact alone, and without any wrongdoing on your part, you become an outcast, a bad, evil person.
Congratulations on this brilliant piece of useful, unbiased piece of journalism!
Comment by Robert — July 7, 2009 @ 6:09 pm
No, Robot–I mean Robert–that’s exactly NOT what we said. We didn’t say Katie is bad–to the contrary, we hope to free poor Katie. I specifically distinguished this organization with its medical quackery (which LRH said is “not” a religion in 1954) from a legitimate religion like Wicca. (BTW, there are celebs who believe in new religions, reincarnation, astrology, etc.) Our issue is with lying and coercion. Why don’t you read some of the earlier posts.
Robert, its a 2 way street–no one ever prevented you from leaving a Christian Church or Jewish Synagogue, did they?
BTW, did Tom sign an agreement promising not to corner someone for 2 hours and pressure them to join Co$, like he did with Scarlett Johannsen?
Comment by Jim — July 7, 2009 @ 6:16 pm
I don’t know the Scientological term, but reporters can’t question Katie because she’s still a zombie-in-progress.
When her brain is fully cooked, I’m sure she’ll be able to lie, and spout delusions about her fake “religion,” without blinking.
$50,000 alligator skin bag! Is that for real? Xenu must’ve made her do it.
Comment by Ian — July 7, 2009 @ 6:26 pm
Robert, its not discrimination to be curious by asking questions. Robert would it be wrong to ask you about how your leader, David Miscavage, beats people and permits a rampant culture of violence inside Scientology? How about the fact that Scientology slanders people by using their PC folders as a piece of blackmail if they speak out. Scientology is bad and based upon that and the rampant lawsuits, the secrecy, the misinformation, the lies, the extortion (take money from people for false promise of happyness) and the mysterious deaths – (Lisa McPherson)
Keep up the good word, Dawn. By the Way I was a bystander at the over 9000 man march.
Comment by Andrew — July 7, 2009 @ 7:05 pm
Robert – OSA? Staff? Or just public?
Either way, I’ll bet you the cost of a year’s auditing that you didn’t dare click on any of the article’s corroborating links.
If you’re so confident of Scientology, why don’t you examine it critically? Ask yourself why you’re being regged for Pure Donations, when Hubbard’s own words insist that such activities are ‘Out Exchange’ (and therefore bad)
Nobody’s discriminating against you, Robert, we’re just pointing out some of Scientology’s many crimes
Comment by David — July 7, 2009 @ 7:19 pm
When I was a bright and bushy-tailed new Scientologist over 30 years ago, I proudly drove around LA with a bumper sticker saying “Ask Me About Scientology.” Now they go around saying “Don’t Ask Me About Scientology.” With the transparency of the internet, everyone now knows about the staff abuse, the RPF labor camps, the beatings by their sociopathic leader, their odd upper level beliefs. They don’t want questions because they don’t have any answers.

Good point, Jeff, in fact now, if anyone in Scientology where any of its wonderful ideas came from I will tell them (and the world) because dianetics is not really new…neither is the entheta and reincarnation…or the anti-psych beliefs. They all came from other places. And, btw, I have nothing against someone believing in more than one of them–just do it outside of an organization whose leader punches people. And don’t practice medicine without a license–it kills people.
Comment by Jim — July 7, 2009 @ 7:52 pm
Robert, people are speaking out against abuses which we believe Scientology is hiding from you.
I for one, believe Scientologists are generally nice people who are trying to do their best in life. Many people find something in scientology that works for them (for example, the introductory communications-type courses tend to be looked on as beneficial or benign even amongst those who’ve left)
Unfortunately, when you step back and disregard the “gradient scale” method of “understanding Scientology”, a less than wonderful picture emerges. The upper levels get increasingly strange, as does the pressures to come up with more and more money, or give almost all your time (including with your family) in pursuit of “clearing the planet”. And NOTHING that is promised in these upper levels is delivered. The testimonial evidence repeats an almost universal message: that scientologists become trapped chasing the “wins” they had when they were pre-clear, and become almost the exact opposite of what they were promised (introverted, isolated, unable to communicate with those outside of scientology, fearful).
I don’t hate Scientologists. I don’t think any of the people criticizing Scientology do. We just see that good people are being put on a bridge that is scattered with broken families, financial ruin, suicides, coerced abortions (sea org), just heart-wrenching stuff…and think “my gawd, we have to say something”.
Robert, if you are truly gaining something from Scientology I won’t try to take that from you, but please, PLEASE be aware…and listen to your gut. Of course I hope that the horror stories that are emerging never happen to you, but that won’t turn off my concern.
Stay safe.
Comment by El Diablo — July 7, 2009 @ 7:58 pm
Thanks to all of you worrying about me – I am fine
. I am not OSA, not staff, I am a successful businessman and a public Scientologist (20 year in Scientology).
How could the church “hide” this stuff from me? I read it all, I know all the accusations, I am fully aware of what is going on. And despite all that, I maintain that even if ALL that bad stuff was true, my personal choice is that I chose Scientology.
I have first hand experience. It helped me. I do listen to my gut (as El Diablo) recommends, and I will stick with it. In my 20 years in Scientology I never experienced all the “terrible” stuff you are so committed to tell me about my church. I don’t question it exists – but I think it is exaggerated. If it would all be SO bad, I would have run into it in 20 years of being an active Scientologist, wouldn’t I?
There are two types of people posting here:
1. Scientology is bad, evil, you are all freaks, I will destroy Scientology, no matter what you say, all Scientologists are evil, etc. terminator types. I consider these people mindless sheep repeater bots and skip their comments. Like Andrew and Ian.
2. People who actually have their own minds and post reasonable things (e.g. El Diablo, David, etc.). Thanks for your worries, I am not blind, I am watching, and I find Scientology DESPITE all these things so overwhelmingly valuable for myself personally that I listen to what you have to say, I understand where you are coming from and I respectfully disagree.
I have seen all of it. If some of you REALLY see it as your mission to badmouth Scientology to me like Andrew and Ian tries to do, and think that will take away any of the value Scientology has given me, then be my guest.
I do my own thinking. Reading the 28,345th idiot reposting the same old stuff the gazillionth time doesn’t make it more true or more powerful.
If you are on such a mission to attack Scientology, may I recommend that you forget for a day about the think you read ABOUT it in the press and read a few pages from an ACTUAL Scientology book to see what it is that you are attacking?
You might find that actually there is some valuable stuff in those books. I definitely have. And no amount of alleged wrongdoing on some Scientologists’ part (whether true or not) can make me into a raging idiot saying “Scientology is bad”. Guess what. You may know some Scientologists, but you definitely don’t know Scientology.
It is like a muslim saying “all Americans are evil”. If, to your logic, that statement seems true, then you will certainly think the same way about Scientology. But then you also have to admit that you are an “evil American”.
Comment by Robert — July 7, 2009 @ 8:51 pm

You are not an “outcast, a bad, evil person” just by being a scientologist…but you may be deluded.

Robert, Robert, Robert.
It IS all true what people are saying about the crimes of Scientology.
You have the right to believe in whatever you want. The crimes ,abuses, the lies, the brainwashing, the financial drain and the deception is what we are against.
You probably joined with good intentions and thought you were doing something good for the world and yourself. That is what they want you to believe.
After twenty years of being in, I doubt there is anything anyone can say to you to change your mind, as you have been gradually conditioned, and you don’t even realize it.But people have left after 30 years, and you can too.
So to argue with you is a waste of time.
When the seeds of doubt grow larger within you, that’s when you will choose to look at the other side.
I wish you a safe exit from this cult some bright and sunny day, when you no longer have to give them any more money, or any more time. When you don’t have to fear your next audit, or fool yourself any longer when your OT powers and the Bridge to Total Freedom never appears.
Comment by Queen — July 7, 2009 @ 9:52 pm
Dear Queen of The Sheep,
You have been conditioned, not me. The media is doing your daily portion of conditioning. You believe everything you are told. You wasted a whole lot of space already, repeating the same things, over and over, that you are conditioned to say. Including discrediting anything any Scientologist may say.
I am fully aware of what I am doing, I see and understand what is going on around me, and unlike you, I won’t just start to play the same old record every time, no matter what is being said about Scientology.
Maybe one day you’ll grow up, develop a brain and will be able to SEE things. Reading about things on the internet and believing everything you read is a sad piece of evidence of how far you sank into sheepdom.
Living your virtual life in a blog where your delusions make you some “queen” of justice is just plain sad.
Wake up and get a life.
Comment by Robert — July 7, 2009 @ 10:32 pm
Robert,
If you’ve been in 20 years haven’t you ever noticed the RPF people running around Big Blue or Flag? Haven’t you noticed how hard pressed staff members at outer orgs are to make their rent, pay bills or even buy food? You never wondered why it’s okay they work 80 hours a week for little to no pay? You are in agreement with this type of treatment?
Have you ever wondered where all the oldtimers went? I could tell you where they are. If Miscavige’s claims that the stats are up all over the planet why are most of the orgs empty these days?
Do you really think all the people who’ve left Scientology are sp’s? ALL of us?
Do you believe HONESTLY that GAT came about because of some typo’s that LRH failed to notice for DECADES?
I think you should REALLY take a look at what’s going on around you. I’m an ex-scientologist and I know how you feel. But at the end of the day the truth WILL set you free. Scientology offers no truth to any of us.
Good luck to you, Robert.
Comment by Kirk Reed — July 7, 2009 @ 10:38 pm
Wow Robert. It didn’t take you long to resort to a personal attack on Queen, did it? Well that is certainly what I’ve come to expect from any Scientologist I’ve encountered on a public forum.
“. And despite all that, I maintain that even if ALL that bad stuff was true, my personal choice is that I chose Scientology.”
So even if Miscavige beats his staff, even if Sea Org members are coerced into aborting their children, even if children are used as slave labor, even if Scientology runs what can only be described as their very own prison camp, even if Scientology attempts to silence critics by any means necessary-legal or illegal, even if child molesters are protected because they’re ‘producing’, even if your disconnection policy has left a trail of broken families for 60 years, even if ALL this is true, you still support Scientology as an organization?
How lovely.
The fact is you can still practice and believe whatever you like after Scientology is dismantled. And it’s happening even as I type this.
Have a nice day.

If anybody has to say anything:
1. new
2. offering any value
please write a post!
If you could only repeat 245,632 other websites that repeat 45,345 other websites that repeat other 34.566 websites then why bother and take the space?
Does it give you some sick satisaction to cut and paste? Why would anyone be interested in the brainless repetition of accusations from other websites posted by Repeater Bot #85,346,547?
And you call Scientologists “brainwashed”… how weird. You don’t even notice how you are PROGRAMMED to spew out the same thing. Take any text in your post, and you will find thousands of pages on the web saying the same thing – and none of the people writing them have any firsthand experience, they just keep reposting reposted reposts of others?
Who is brainwshed again…?
Comment by Robert — July 7, 2009 @ 11:07 pm
Robert,
Did David Miscavige drop out of high school or didn’t he?
Did Hubbard flunk out of GWU and lose his scholarship or didn’t he? Did Hubbard purchase a doctorate from Sequoia U., a scam mail-order school, to give himself credibility, or didn’t he?
Does Scientology purport to teach people how to learn or be educated using this loon’s method, or doesn’t it?
Did Scientology become a religion to avoid taxes, or didn’t it.
Did Hubbard say he visited the Val Allen Belt or didn’t he?
Scientology is a scam. Hubbard was a hypnotist and a nutcase who claimed he was a nuclear physicist, for Xenu’s sake. And you are right, I’m not nice. I don’t suffer fools gladly when they are supporting a criminal scam, that enslaves and brainwashes vulnerable people.
Even the mentally ill, like Barbara Schwartz get stuck in it.
If you are in Scientology now, it is for one of two reasons:
1. You have been brainwashed to believe that every word of a sci fi writer con man Hubbard, is some profound truth or “science.”
2. Or you are mentally ill, perhaps suffering the ravages of a past drug addiction.
Katie can’t be asked about Scientology, because the brainwashing is a secret. I don’t sanction Scientology, just for the rich and famous, when they provide so much of the money that pays for all the propaganda, publishing and advertising this fake billion dollar con “religion” churns out.
If no one speaks out about it, who will? I am not going to leave it up to the former Scilons, Queen, or Rachel, or the top journalists to point out all this weirdness alone.
Scientology isn’t being quiet about pushing it in everyone’s face. The ads are popping up all over. Scientology is chocolate, paperclips and EVERYTHING. It has the answers. Well, it isn’t and it doesn’t.
If you aren’t an OSA bot, then you are violating Scientology’s rules, by exposing yourself to entheta by reading this. Maybe you should sit home and work on moving objects with your mind, or practice passing water bottles out for your stint of helping with VM.
I enjoy doing this. It makes me feel responsible, and purposeful.
Maybe we go a little overboard at times, because for years, people were suppressed so harshly, when they tried to speak out, or write about this criminal cult. It is time to make up for it, to avenge those voiceless victims.
It would be worth it for one person, like Kaja Ballo, who was deceived by this cult’s sales techniques, and took her own life. But I’m doing it for the thousands of others too. Scientology may have helped some, mostly to keep busy and get off drugs for example, but it has left thousands of victims in its wake.
Comment by Ian — July 7, 2009 @ 11:21 pm
One more thing – about the personal attack:
“Queen” and others have been attacking me, and I only lost my patience after:
1. I was called brainwashed
2. Two people expressed their opinion that I should leave my chosen religion
3. Some idiot is saying Scientology is being “dismantled” (we will see about that – how naive)
4. Someone saying “all” the old timers “went” somewhere (referring to a handful who chose to leave Scientology, the rest of tens of thousands of old timers are still Scientologists and haven’t gone anywhere, they are fine, thank you)
5. Babbling about the crimes “of Scientology” – how can a RELIGION have crimes? People can commit crimes, the religion is a set of beliefs written in books. Is it the letters in the books that are accused to have committed crimes? Please invite me to the trial…
etc. There is a non-stop personal attack and attempt at deprogramming (no thanks, I won’t leave Scientology, don’t bother keep telling me that I should).
So after a while it becomes a bit too much – I get fed up with people trying to brainwash and deprogram me online. Not that it will do anything but make me think people who are trying to do so are morons, but THAT was the attack, I just pointed out how slimy an brainless it was.

You didn’t write anything new. Just as I said BEFORE you wrote your post, you are REPEATING tired old accusations from other websites that quote other web sites.
You are a brainwashed repeater bot.

I’d like to ask Katie why Scientology, if it’s so great, needs to lie about L Ron’s accomplishments. No Christian ever says something like, “Well, Jesus was a carpenter
but he did really high-end work”. I’ve never heard of a Muslim saying, “Well Mohammed
was a merchant, but he was like the Sam Walton of his day”.
Scientology is like that compulsive liar that I’m sure everyone will meet in their life
at some point in time, that person who tells impressive stories about themselves that
stop adding up after a while. Sometimes it takes awhile ,but that epiphany comes sooner
or later, that this person is a compulsive liar with low self-esteem who needs to lie
for social acceptance or something similar. Scientology is like the compulsive liar
of religions. Scientology draws it’s own flak for acting like this, and until they
realize that, which I can’t see happening, it will always draw criticism. No agents
of Xenu, psychiatry, or Big Pharma are required.

I wasn’t going to comment until I read Robert’s many replies defending Scientology. He comes across as a victim in the thread but at the same time he attacks, whilst “defending.”
I also read several other articles on the internet about Scientology with “Robert” in full swing. Very telling. OSA Op?
I was in Scientology for over 20 years. 23 to be exact. I grew up in it and worked my way top the top, working at their International Headquarters for a decade near Hemet, California. Also called Gold base.
I have personal and years of experience working at the top and witnessed many abuses, including physical abuses by the current leader David Miscavige as well as by his close officers.
The big problem in the Sea Org and even within the basic tenets of Scientology, is that when you want to leave or “blow” or tell another Scientologist that you want to leave, you are declared a Suppressive Person, and therfore, no other Scientologist can talk to you as enforced by the “Church” and their doctrine.
After seeing all of the abuses at the top and realizing that we were lying to the public, and trying to squeeze out money from our members at every level, I decided I couldn’t be part of it anymore. It wasn’t the Scientology I knew or was raised by.
Scientology has many layers and many levels. The further you go up, and the more “security clearances” you get through, you find out what it’s all about.
Robert may have been in for 20 years, but he has no idea what’s really going on.
As far as security clearances are concerned, I was at the very top. I even know more about what was going on than David Miscavige thinks that I know. Rememer the RTC Int Data Base Project Dave?
So, when I wanted to leave, I was held in a prison camp at this base, behind barbed wire, motion detectors, guards, guns, dogs, etc… All because I wanted to leave Scientology’s management arm. This year and a half included forced heavy labor every day, and I was interrogated on their e-meter (lie-detector device) for 5-6 hours a day.
In Scientology doctrine, if you want to leave, or leave unexpectedly “blow” you have hidden crimes against the Church, and that is the sole reason behind your wanting to leave.
I was not the only one held in those conditions. There were and are many others. Google the RPF. Google Scientology Prison Camps. Google Scientology Violence.
Find out for yourself.
Someone at Robert’s level in Scientology just doesn’t know what’s really going on behind the scenes to keep Robert the “happy” clam that he is.
And Robert, I know what it’s like to be happy in Scientology, but that was when I was at the level where you are at.
Go for it – go into your org and join the Sea Org. Take full responsibility and work your butt off to do a good job. Get promoted and earn your ranks. Dive in and find out what really happens. I urge you to.
Cheers,
John Peeler

Remember one of Tom Cruises last movies(was it War of the Worlds….or something like that)….where they gave the production staff “gifts” which actually were Scientology CRAP (books, mugs, whatever)as their gifts at their “wrap up” session. What a joke, I bet 99% of that crap hit the trash bin as the crew drove out of the parking lot.
What a 180 degree switch….Most Scientology celebs are now actively distancing themselves from publicly promoting Scientology.
Tom realizes that it would probably upset Katie for her to have to actually think and give reasonable answers about all of Scientology’s massive shortcomings… thus he has put a “gag order” on the production staff. HE KNOWS SHE IS IN DOUBT ABOUT SCIENTOLOGY, and doesn’t want to risk having to decide between her and Scientology. It won’t be long now folks….Scientology is rotten to the core and is crumbling from within. The Scieno Celebs know that and are actively JUMPING SHIP.
Comment by BTS4$ale — July 8, 2009 @ 3:07 am
the religion gag order actually stems from tom cruise’s old publicist. she felt that, at the time, scientology was too much of a fringe religion and would give interviewers strict guidelines for interviews, the idea being that tom represented the everyman, and the everyman wasn’t generally involved with a non mainstream religion.
i’m not defending scientology, but her not wanting to discuss her religion in an atmosphere where it’s totally super trendy to hate on scientolgoy kind of makes sense.

Dude, good on ya for posting what you did, since it needed to be said. And I have to say I have a great deal of respect for you and all of the former members are brave enough to speak up despite what I can only imagine must be enormous pressure not to. Not much more I can say other than if even a fraction of the testimonies are true then there’s something seriously wrong and it’s a GOOD thing that this is getting attention. Never-ins like me would never even KNOW there was something wrong if not for all of you guys, so all I can do is express my appreciation for doing this.

Robert, Queen here. You know… “the Queen of Sheep” as you so eloquently put it. Which by the way makes no sense at all.
You have a very short memory, huh?
We have had this coversation on other articles I have written.
If you are tired of people telling you that you are brainwashed, then why do you constantly return here?
Why are you pulling it in? It’s out ethics.
And your anger is very low on the tone scale.
Why are you talking with all these SP’s anyways?
Careful…. do you want to be labled PTS?
THAT would be VERY expensive for you to audit out!
Now I would love to chat further, but I am currently re-reading Dianetics which I bought for A DOLLAR.
I LOVE the card in the middle of the book which tells you if you want to learn more, take the Hubbards Dianetics Extension course.
Hmmmmm, then a little further…. is yet another card that offers a video for $24.95, so I can hear exactly how to audit Dianetcs. Not to mention the SEVENTEEN pages at the back of the book chock full of books and tapes I can purchase! You know the pesky advertising you may see in the Bible, or a book on the Torah or the Quran? No?
(Robert, if you havn’t realized it, I am being sarcastic)
I am not a fan of any religion, but I do know salvation is free. Unlike Scientology.
Speaking of which…..once again Scientology is repackaging the same old stuff and calling it the Golden Dawn, which some members will be pressed to buy after this weekened. It has 30% less typos then the other! Wow! Bonus!
The SAME stuff you already own! Only repackaged with a fancy new name! Only $300.00! What a bargain!
I rest my case.
Good luck to you Robert in your quest for finding the truth.
And that my friend, is the end of this Comm cycle.

Robert, good on you for standing up for your beliefs against all these bigots who think they can make any comment they want but are not prepared to hear what you have to say.
I am Catholic by the way, and with lots of Jewish friends growing up, got teased pretty badly about what Catholicism and Judaism is all about.
I went to a Catholic school and was suspended for asking about the birth of Jesus and the Virgin Mary.
And here I am thinking Americans believed in freedom and allowing people the independence to follow their desires. At least here in Australia, some might disapprove of Scientology and several other religions but are not “in your face” about one’s private life.
Where is the proof anyway that the crew with Kate had to sign contracts etc and what is the connection between her movie and her religion?
I do not understand some of the comments here against Scientology and against Robert. EVERY religion it seems to me has positives and negatives but people are entitled to their beliefs.
If some of these people need to attack anyone, pick some of the extreme Jihad Muslims – their religion cause them to KILL, or don’t these people care?

They aren’t tired accusations to me. They are true talking points. I read about Hubbard’s visit to the Van Allen Belt, Venus, and through time, in Miller’s BARE-FACED MESSIAH. It was a published book, by a respected journalist, not just a web rumor. But then again, you think Dianetics is science. Ha!
Some of the wildest Hubbard stories are confirmed in Hubbard’s own voice, and yes, it is on the web. Ted Koppel played the Van Allen Belt clip of Hubbard, to Miscavige on Nightline. And Hubbard talks at length about Xenu in clips.
Tom Cruise, of little interest to me before he made his famous kook video, blew the lid of this crazy cult of nitwits who want to clear and dominate the planet. Now all his antics, from wife selection, to wife indoctrination, mean something. I’m following the crumbling of a scam “religion.”
I don’t care what Scientologists think of me. Not everyone who considers Scientology to be an abusive fraud can concern themselves with the feelings of Scientologists.
Call me anything you wish. I don’t have any OT powerz, but cockamamie BS like you and your cult spout, is helping to dismantle the cult faster.
The cult can’t employ too many people to respond in any way, because they run the risk of what happened to Tory.
This story about Katie, is great, because it shows how the cult has gone from Tom not being able to shut up about it, to them now imposing restrictions on journalists even asking simple questions like:
How’s the brainwashing going Katie? Heard anything about Xenu yet?

“Golden Dawn”
Golden shower is more like it.
They should have David Miscavige gold plated, since he’s reached his useful purpose as tyrannical dwarf.
They could offer a smaller replica in gold plastic, for Scientologists to stick anywhere they’d like, included “free” with their new $300 typo-free book package. Remember, this new typo-free edition, is as significant as the entire library at Alexandria was to Egypt.
It is the most important historical event since Dianetics was written. Everyone has the release of THAT book marked on their calendar.
A man like L. Ron Hubbard comes around only once every one hundred trillion years, but a typo editor like David Miscavige, well, once every billion years or so.
Xenu should write a book. I’d read his side of the story.

Do some research on Scientology. You obvioulsy have not.
Comment by Queen — July 8, 2009 @ 11:42 am
Jan, other religions do not engage in the unauthorized practice of medicine, nor do they fraudulently induce newcomers with claims like “it will triple your income” nor do they harass people who convert to something else. They CAN’T. They are subject to secular law when interacting with people outside the church.
Robert, I have something original to ask:
–How did you get involved in Scientology? Your comments seem to suggest non-religious reasons (helped success in business)? Can you name anything in Scientology which you could not get for half as much money somewhere else?
Amway has great products. Their $500 water filter really is better than the $20 kind at Sears. Many people have been helped by it (cured allergies, etc.) But its still a scam. Why? The same thing from the same manufacturer is available elsewhere for $300.

Dear Jan.
You are a liar. As a teacher at a prominant Catholic High School in Victoria I can safely say without a question of doubt that such a suspension would never, and could never, under both regulation from the appointed Diocese and Federal law, happen. Any teacher or staff member who upheld such a suspension would be subject to immediate disciplinary action and quite possibly relieved of their position.
As for Robert, for someone who claims to want to foster objective discussion, you have done nothing to counter nor explain the serious, valid, and referenced issues which have been put before you. So what if you have heard them before? The Catholic Church has heard accusations of pedarist priests before, and we don’t get to dodge them with a dismissing wave simply because they have been brought up previously. In fact I would be very disappointed should any official within the church EVER take such a stance.
To be blunt, how about stepping up to the plate a little and actually addressing some of the concerns raised here, as opposed to beating your breast and bemoaning how hard done by you are?

Remember 1-2 years back when fundamentalist Mormons in Texas went to jail for child abuse/child labor? No religious exception there. 2 other distinctions between real religions and Co$:
1. Co$ did not, in all likelihood (when it recruited you) hold itself out as a religion when it lured you in; it was probably those personality tests and “we can help you” or “you need help”; imagine a priest telling protestants that they are all depressed, or he can raise their IQ 50 points.
2. Co$ costs money just to learn its religion.
Comment by Jim — July 8, 2009 @ 2:15 pm
Comments by Scientologists sometimes need translation:
“Successful businessman” means OSA bot, who went from being addicted to drugs, to being addicted to Scientology.
Any mention of “Catholic,” the “Virgin Mary,” etc. is their comparative religion ploy, ignoring the fact Scientology isn’t a religion, only a scam hiding as one.
“Happy” means: “happy to lie my butt off for Scientology, or I’ll get in trouble.”
David Miscavige, their leader, is a high school dropout. It is not like they employee successful or educated people to perform this task of attack shilling for the cult. They pay lawyers like Monique Yingling the big bucks, but not to post to the web. The lawyers have to handle the legal/image problems for the crime cult.
Barbara Schwartz and maybe one or two others, are the only Scientologists on the whole WWW, who post things REGULARLY to public message boards of any kind, who aren’t posting as part of their cult job. Barbara has been thrown out of the cult. The cult does not want members who have mental problems which aren’t conducive to being exploited as a cult robot, and with the ability to pay for it.
Other Scientologists are forbidden to participate in open communication. Even the OSA bots are probably monitored for what they write. Sometimes you get a beginning Scientologist who wants to enthuse in public about it, but rarely. The cult stops them from doing it.
Scientology, with its history and policies of abuse so clearly documented, can’t remain totally silent. They feel they need some presence, to comment on articles like this.
Reporters know that the most interesting thing about Katie, aside from being married to loony Cruise, is that she’s being indoctrinated into Scientology.
Katie’s handlers know that if she were allowed to speak about Scientology, there is hardly a thing she could say, that wouldn’t make world wide news, and even possibly draw world wide protest. And worse, for Katie and Tom, soil their reputations, which have already been dragged through the mud, by being associated with this crazy cult in the first place.
At this time, believe me, they are especially afraid of any question about David Miscavige’s violence, since he is Tom’s close friend.
Eventually, that story (St. Petersburg Times) is going to make much wider news, simply because a reporter will ask that question, of either Tom or Katie. My guess is that they will say “no comment” or not even respond. Either way, it will be news again.
Every star, who is in Scientology, should be asked if they know that David Miscavige beats his subordinates. My guess is that NONE of them know it, but a few may learn about it if the question is asked.
Kirstie, if you are out there…you could get a lot of attention if you look into this issue for the other stars. Talk to some of these executives to see if it is for real. (Kirstie like attention.)

Comment by Delilah — July 9, 2009 @ 11:42 am
As to teacher man’s point, I do know this: anyone can walk out of a Catholic school or Church and never come back. A priest / teacher can condemn them to hell as he sees fit, but cannot prevent such a person from leaving or kidnap them and bring them back. Co$ gets away with this–there are stories of people fleeing the Sea Org in the middle of the night; Wollersheim asked to leave repeatedly. Yet they continue to flout laws that real religions follow.
Comment by Jim — July 11, 2009 @ 2:32 pm
It’s a wonder why the authorities stand idly by, while people continue to be tortured on a daily basis in this cult.
It is sickening.
Our government and governments all over the world need to grow a pair and do something. They are now guilty also for doing nothing!
Comment by Jellybean — July 11, 2009 @ 10:27 pm
It is amazing, this hate comment galore. Some of you people hate Scientology so much that you totally lost it. You say things that would make any tolerant person think you just passionately, to your core, hate this religion and wish it would be destroyed. That doesn’t shed any light on Scientology but does say a lot about you.
What is Scientology doing?
Defending itself from haters and agressive people who are trying (albeit totally unsuccessfully) to “destroy it”.
Do they defend them in a way that some people (especially their enemies) dislike?
Do they give their attackers a hard time?
Do they sometimes go aggressive on their attackers?
Probably so.
Just like the United States of America does.
It is trying to defend itself from people attacking it.
It gives its enemies a hard time. It is know to kill them, torture them, run their countries over by military force. Worse than anything Scientology has ever done.
This is the country you live in. It is a minority (less than 5% of the population). But it bullies the rest of the world and treats itself like it is above the law. Do the leadership of this country do illegal things every day? You bet. They think they are above the law.
Do they do so for money? Absolutely. Its richest businessmen are covertly running the country by spending billions lobbying, “donating” and buying up politicians by the pound. Its chief executive is the most expensive man alive. Spends more in a day than David Miscavige has in his lifetime. Who pays for that? You, the taxpayer. Can you opt out – say that you won’t pay your taxes because you disagree with the financing of a war on your dime? Nope, you would go to jail if you refuse to pay for the number one budget item (”defense” – when the US is known to attack happily using the “defense” budget) or the million-dollar-a-day lifestyle of the Chief.
Anything bad said about Scientology, change “Scientology” to “United States” and you can leave everything else in the sentence intact, it will still be true but a 100 times worse.
The US is a minority for the rest of the world. Scientology is a minority for the American people.
You attack Scientology while you live in a country that does way, way worse than anything bad you can say about Scientology, and you are “proud” of it. How much hypocrisy can your stomach take?
Of course anything I write here will be dismissed by the Scientology haters cult all over this forum who come here to discuss how awful it is that Scientology is tough on those who want to destroy it, while they agree that their country should be tough on anybody who tries to destroy it. In essence these people are saying that they should be the judges deciding which group has a right to self defense and which one doesn’t. But maybe there are still some people around who are not totally brainwashed and start seeing that something is wrong with that picture.
As a note, it is a very telling sign to judge the “facts” presented in these posts by that someone said I was an “OSA Op”
Someone explained that as a “fact”. I have nothing to do with OSA, I am a public Scientologist, but someone states it as a fact that I do. Mind you that this person doesn’t know anything about me (not even my full name, where I live, what I do, who I really am), but states his opinion as “fact”. So much about the “facts” presented here.
Does anybody start to see how “facts” about Scientology and Scientologists come about?
Comment by Robert — July 24, 2009 @ 10:16 pm
Give it up Robert. If you want to practice Scientology, then just go to the Freezone. At least they are not supporting a crime ridden cult.
Why are you following Miscavige who is squirreling the tech?
He changed the second dynamic, he is repacking the same crap over and over and correcting it. You agree with that? why?
Leave while you can.
Comment by Jellybean — July 24, 2009 @ 11:04 pm
No, Jellybean, I won’t give up, not until I see a good reason to believe I should. None of the hate propaganda convinced me that I should change my mind about the Scientology I personally know and practice and that gave me so much benefit that even if ALL the bad things you keep chewing on would be true would be outweighed a hundred times over by what I gained from being a Scientologist, and one that sticks with the Church of Scientology.
In case no one told you, we live in a free country where anyone is free to make their own choices.
You and others are continually insulting Scientologists based on their religion with no wrongdoing on our part (and I mean myself as a private person – I am in no way associated with the Church, and my opinions I posted here are my own personal opinions). You don’t know me and you keep insulting me, just because of my choice of religion. That’s YOUR choice, and it only reflects on you and not me.
Scientology is being attacked and there are people who insist it should be “destroyed” and there are people who even actively seek to destroy it. The Constitution gives me and my Church the right to self-defense. If you would be attacked personally and someone would want to “destroy” (kill) you, I am sure you would use that right too.
You and others attacking Scientology should be reminded that whether you like it or not, Scientology IS a recognized religion and as such, protected by the same Constitution that gives you your rights. As Scientology IS recognized as a religion, you have no point. Seeking to “destroy it”, attaking it, the hate propaganda you and others create is illegal. Fell free to “expose” Scientology etc. to your heart’s content, but there is a line that no sane person would cross (and many ARE doing so), which is that it is not your privilege to say what religions people have the right to practice without harrassment.
If you don’t see that it is continuous harrassment based on religious preference that is happening on this forum (and so many others) then you are either blind or insane.
Anybody who elects himself as a judge on what other people should believe in and support, is a danger to the freedom of people. Deprogramming is illegal.
A sane person would consider the other side of the story, and would admit, that there ARE good things about Scientology and the Church. None of the hatemongers posting anti-Scientology stuff here do.
You might think you are fighting a good fight, but you are walking a tightrope bordering on unconstitutional activity. Your posts are proof.
Comment by Robert — July 26, 2009 @ 8:52 am
