Well, well, well. It seems the news is out about John Edwards’ paternal obligations to his former mistress and her 18-month old daughter. Which as far as I am concerned, was a big FAT DUH!
I remember when John Edwards was a fresh face to the democratic party and a potential hopeful to the White House. John’s wife Elizabeth has suffered more than her share of tragedy, from losing her beloved old son Wade in 1996 to a diagnosis of breast cancer, remission and then having her cancer come back with a vengeance. It was during this second bout of stage 4 cancer, that John Edwards chose to carry on an affair, and impregnate apparently, with a woman whose opening line to John was “You’re hot.”

Former North Carolina Senator and Democratic Presidential and Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards is expected to admit that he is the father of the 18-month-old daughter of former mistress Rielle Hunter, sources tell CBS affiliate WRAL.
Edwards acknowledged the affair last summer but has previously denied that he fathered the child, whose name is Frances.
As WRAL notes, longtime Edwards aide Andrew Young initially claimed paternity but is now writing a book in which he will say Edwards is the girl’s actual father.
Hunter testified last week at the federal courthouse where a grand jury is investigating whether campaign funds were illegally used to buy her silence.
The sources told WRAL Edwards could acknowledge paternity before the investigation concludes.
I am a firm believer that there is place in Hell reserved especially for the most flagrant of wrong-doers. John likely has a bronze plaque awaiting his arrival. It’s not so much the cheating or the impregnating, as it is his timing and lying. When you turn your back on your dying spouse and the mother of your children when she needs you most, you REALLY, REALLY are the scum of the earth.
As for you Rielle, you are a vile, opportunistic piece of trash. I hope both of you enjoy your extra warm eternal vacation in the afterlife.

Don’t forget he is also a A #1 Ambulance Chaser. That is where he got his millions in the first place class action lawsuits that netted him millions and just dollars for the compaintants.

Edwards scum bag along with Sandford, Pitino, and the others felt they could get away with it. They had no sorrow when they had their pants down. They probably figured they who they were they could get away with it. Did they every figure out the disgrace they brought to their childern who have to live with it and possibly all they talk behind their back that their father is a scum bag – how about these low life women. Mistress is a fancy name for a (W) and that’s what they are.

And you can blame the mainstream media too, for not bothering to even investigate the claims when they first came up. That fat bastard on CNN said with a sanctimonius tone “we only investigate facts, not rumors”. He could have added “…unless the rumors are against a Republican.”
The media tried to ignore this because he’s a Democrat…and they got scooped by the National Enquirer of all places!!
Hope Edwards goes to jail, because he used campaign funds to shut Rielle up.

AWESOME reporting on this d-bag. I cannot imagine that his poor wife would have to, again, go through another piece of HELL that was sooo not necessary. Keep up the good work (and also about this farce about Scientology). Cannot even imagine what John Travolta is going through right now. Love that Jason Beghe (sp). Saw those videos that you provided and what a SHAM that he realized he wasted soo much of his time, emotion and money. GOOD FOR HIM. Now I just realized that Giovanni Ribisi (sp?) is a scientologist also. Was one of my favorite actors – now I have no idea WTF is he and others are thinking. Wonderful reporting. I’m thinking that John T. is totally devastated but will be taking the ‘party line’ and said that he still supports Scientology just so that his ’secrets’ don’t become revealed. However, I do believe that he may be done with that B.S. Keep on trucking Dawn, you are the best.

i dunno, i think someone can still be there for you, even if they’re making the selfish decision to fuck someone else. i’m not saying it’s right…but…i dunno, i just assume all politicians are slimy from the getgo.
but i’m intrigued where jake got his info that we’ve been electing democrats….i feel he may have missed the past 8 years

Jeez, aren’t we all becoming God. The man lied and cheated – he’s no different than about 30+% of married men and women out there who cheat on their spouses. The only real difference is he’s a public figure who’s shame is shared not only by his long suffering wife, but his children. I think his actions and timing are unfortunate, but his wife has taken him to task for it (publicy with her latest book) and I’m sure God will do the same. You talk about him like he’s a killer. He’s flawed but he’s done good things too. People are complicated. I haven’t met any saints yet, so let’s not think anyone is incapable of doing something wrong. Now Edwards and his family are going to relive the shame with all this talk. I say let them sort it out and stop throwing gasoline on the fire. BTW-infidelity isn’t exclusively owned by Democrats. How many married Republican Senators and Governors were outed this year??? Gay and straight. Let’s get real.
