God Bless John Travolta's big, confused and misguided heart. CNN reports Travolta, a licensed pilot, flew his own plane down to Haiti to bring supplies, several doctors, his wife and Scientology ministers.

Er, wait, back up, did that say Scientology ministers? Ok, this went from a mercy mission for the people of Haiti, to a mission to disseminate cult materials and annoy the crap out of an already destitute and broken people. Seriously, let me illuminate you on what a Scientology crisis mission entails.

Scientology trains some of their members to join what they call their "Volunteer Ministries." The VM, or Vulture Ministries as those in the know call them, are a group of untrained members who go on "relief missions" to the poorest parts of the world or those hit by disaster, under the guise of helping. However, that's only part of the picture.

Using the religious cloaking they so effectively shroud themselves in, some past missions have included 9/11, Katrina, the Virginia Tech shooting massacre and recently, opening Scientology schools in India. While on the surface this sounds great, what you don't see is what actually happens on the ground once they are there.

First, they set up yellow tents with tables that have their various "religious materials" displayed for your viewing pleasure, including their ubiquitous pamphlets advertising their "Bridge to Total Freedom." Then, if they are bored, they will wonder around and see if any other relief organizations have supplies which need to be handed out, like water or food, and these VM's, with their uniforms on proceed to pass out OTHER group’s supplies. Kind of a sweet deal if you can get it.

The worse part of all this, because so far, what I've described isn't terribly different than some other religious organizations, is when they start preaching the virtues of Scientology. Or administer their "Free Stress Tests" by using their e-meters (a cheaply-made lie detector) to try and find a victim's "ruin" (the source of his or her's pain, which the Church hopes is something deviant or sexual in nature). Pat Robertson would love this, as you know, Haiti signed that pact with the Devil two centuries ago. Oh religion, how you have forsaken us.

I freely admit I am biased in a negative way towards the Church of Scientology. However, after years of reporting on their innate level of malevolence towards anyone who does not rabidly adhere to their philosophies (new-age self-help schlock) I feel responsible to warn the public of their hidden agenda.

John Travolta is the only Scientologist celebrity I hold any sympathy for, so I am sure, positive in fact, his heart is in the right place. He wants to help the people of Haiti and probably truly feels by going there, that's what he is doing. However, for those of us NOT trapped by their cultish devices, all they are doing is impeding progress, harassing the down-trodden and foisting poorly-written Scientology documents on an already overwhelmed and devastated population.

If people really want to help Haiti, give to any of the responsible and reputable relief organizations taking donations for the relief effort. We recommend checking out our post on donation entry portals, or Doctors Without Borders, Red Cross, Unicef, Clinton/Bush Haiti Fund, Hope For Haiti Now.

Queen here, I decided to compile a list of Scientology’s most memorable moments blunders of 2009. This will be my final article…so I thought I would leave with a bang!

I wasn’t able to include EVERYTHING or all the pending court cases, as the list was way too LONG.

Sorry if the time line is not entirely correct by the exact month and the events may not be in exact chronological order and I am sure I left out some things, so feel free to contribute and list whatever I missed in the comments section. Please click on the various links in this article, to read further.

The list below, is definitely tl:dr, but after all, it is an entire year of Scientology fail, and there was plenty of it!

Thankfully, and as always, Scientology has brought on this bad publicity and pending court cases themselves. They will be responsible for their own demise.

Let’s start the 2009 time line with the tragic death of John Travolta’s son, Jett.

This tragedy opened up many doors, that Scientology would have liked to have kept shut.

I think it is important to remind people of this story. I feel there were too many puzzling questions in this story, that didn’t make any sense and remain unanswered.

Jett was Travolta’s 16 year old son who had autism. Many people never knew he existed because Jett was kept out of the limelight. Or shall I say hidden from the limelight.

Jett suffered from epileptic seizures. According to Travolta and wife Kelly Preston, Jett was taken off his anti-seizure medication, claiming it wasn’t working for him and that it was harmful to his liver. Ironically, Jett’s parents put him on the Purification Rundown, which can be very harmful to the liver.

Scientology believes that this treatment can cure many problems. Even though there has never been any medical or scientific proof that Scientology’s Purification Rundown has any benefits what so ever. In fact it has been called pseudo science and quackery. Disturbingly, this treatment is administered by untrained staff with no medical backgrounds.

I am amazed that Scientology is still able to offer this treatment legally. This treatment is also goes under the names Narconon, Criminon and other Scientology front group names.

Travolta and Preston admitted to taking Jett off his anti seizure medication and putting him on Scientology’s Purification Rundown. Jett then began suffering from seizures every 1-4 days.

John and Kelly flew to the Bahamas for a 60 person New Year’s Eve party they had planned. I will never understand why they flew to the Bahamas to have a party, when Jett was suffering from so many seizures so often.

They traveled with two male nannies who did not have medical backgrounds or proper training for a special needs child. Didn’t anyone find this strange? The night of Jett’s death, he was left unattended for over 10 hours. He had a seizure, fell and hit his head and died.

Tabloids began speculating whether this was a case of negligence, and whether or not Jett would still be alive today, if he was put on a different seizure medication and if his parents were not Scientologists.

From the tragic death of their son, emerged a much publicized court case of alleged extortion.

John and Kelly cried “extortion”, and claimed that defendants tried to extort a large sum of many from them in exchange for some alleged damaging documents relating to Jett’s death.

Although the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of Jett is not what the court case is about, there are still too many unanswered questions concerning the death of Jett.

The following questions should have been investigated. Why did the body of Jett have such a quickie cremation? Why did Travolta and Preston have two male Scientologist nannies who were void of medical or special needs training? One of the nannies was Jeff Kathrein, who was photographed previously kissing Travolta. Strange…

Why was Travolta’s son left unattended for over 10 hours after last being seen entering the bathroom? Why weren’t the two nannies
investigated or interviewed by authorities or questioned by the media? Especially the fact that Jeff Kethrein, was the one that found Jett dead at 10 am the next morning. Where were the two nannies when they were supposed to be watching Jett the night he fell?

Why didn’t Preston and Travolta hire round-the-clock care by highly TRAINED medical professionals for their son? Money certainly wasn’t an issue. Why was Jett put on the very dangerous Scientology Purification Rundown in the first place? AND how was a 16-year autistic child made to endure such long hours in saunas for weeks at a time and ingesting oil and dangerous mega vitamin bombs of niacin?
How was this obviously arduous task achieved? Strange?

Some day, someone will come forward and spill all the beans. I hope this mystery doesn’t get swept under the rug. We may never know the true answers to what, why and how this all happened, due to Travolta’s fame and fortune. Very sad.

The Travolta “extortion” court case continues in the Bahamas in Jan 2010. It will be interesting to see what further shenanigans Scientology lawyers will pull in court and the outcome to this complete and utter MESS. Stock up on popcorn!

Another court case which was previously filed against a Scientology dentist which was settled. Reported in the Chicago Tribune:

“A Chicago dentist has agreed to pay$462,500 to settle federal allegations that he violated U.S. discrimination laws by sexually harassing workers and by forcing employees who wanted to keep their jobs to submit to indoctrination in the tenets of Scientology.”

On to the following months.
FEBRUARY brought the ban of Scientology in the Karaganda region in Kazakhstan.

Then another big court case hit.

This time, it was filed against Scientology.
Former Scientology members Claire and Marc Headley. They filed against Scientology for unfair labor practices. They claimed:

“they were paid less than 50 cents an hour and forced to work more than 100 hours a week. They claim they never received overtime pay or meal breaks and were required to sign documents under duress acknowledging they had forfeited their rights.”

FYI, Scientology’s Sea Organization, is supposed to be the most elite. They are also the most dedicated members of Scientology. Unfortunately, the Sea Org members are also the most abused.

If you asked the general public what the Sea Org is, most people wouldn’t know. But hopefully, more and more people are starting to learn about this abused sect behind Scientology.

The sad stories from former ex members are coming out more and more these days. Many ex members still live in fear, do to Scientology’s family disconnection policies and Scientology’s litigious nature of silencing their critics. Scientology is finally starting to lose this war and they will find it impossible to silence the new onslaught of ex members coming forward with their stories.

In Florida, a mom filed a suit against Scientology, claiming that her son Kyle Brennan died at the hands of Scientology because the father who was a Scientologist denied the son his anti depression medication. The father tried to put his son Kyle into a Narconon drug treatment program. (Narconon is a Scientology front group name and the exact same treatment that Travolta’s son Jett was put through)

Sadly, Kyle ended his life by shooting himself. Yet another tragic Scientology related death. Click for a copy of that case.

Another blow to Scientology in February, was the release of ex Scientology Sea Org member John Duigan’s book, The Complex. A very damaging book that tells the sad story of his escape from Scientology, after being a member for twenty two years.

It was also announced that Marc Headley’s book, Blown For Good, Behind The Iron Curtain Of Scientology was set to hit book stores later in the year.

The veil of secrecy continued to lift, with the story of ex member Jeff Hawkins, who spent more than 40 years in the cult and was interviewed by many media outlets and ABC’s KATU news.

Anti Scientology critics, Mark Bunker and Doug Owens were arrested at Scientology’s Golden Era Productions aka Gold Base for “trespassing” while attending a protest there. They were walking across the driveway of the gate to Gold Base, when Scientology spokesperson Catherine Fraser (who was present) had them arrested by citizen’s arrest. Oh Catherine, Barney Phife would have loved you. *snicker*

The kicker of this arrest is, that both Mark and Doug were not on Scientology’s property. The charges were of course later dropped due to lack of evidence. (what a surprise)

Another prime example of the cult taking up police time and tax payers money with frivolous arrests. Scientology should have been charged for making false arrests and fined.

There was another arrest at Gold Base for another Scientology protester who goes by the name of “Angy Gay Pope”. He was arrested at Gold base for “stomping on the cult’s pansies”. I kid you not.

See the day of the protest, the cult turned sprinklers on the protesters, even though there was a watering ban in effect that day for that area. Of course the cult was never fined for this crime. WHY?

To avoid the sprinkler’s water, “Pope” walked through “their” pansy patch. Catherine Fraser once again called for a citizen’s arrest, and had him taken to the pokey. AGAIN… the cult wasting police time and tax payer’s money. Is anyone paying attention here?

FYI… the pansies were not planted on cult property to begin with, and in a preliminary hearing the cult claimed that the patch of pansies cost them $1,000!!! *snort* This case continues in Jan. 2010. Stay tuned!

February saw Nancy Cartwright caught using Bart Simpson’s voice to “robo call” Scientology members for a Scientology event. Cartwright is of course the voice of Bart Simpson. Her robo message said the event was “going to be a blast man!”

Simpson’s creator, Matt Goering didn’t have much to say about this escapade by Cartwright, nor did he do anything about it. Major pussy IMO. Sorry Matt, you really disappointed me!
All the more reason I will never watch the Simpson’s!

MARCH found Scientologists Gretta Van Susteren and hubby lawyer John P. Coale getting awful cozy with Palin. (this was way before Palin the ”Maverick” went “rogue” *snicker*).

Nathan Baca of KESQ TV, interviewed Scientology cult spokesman Tommy Davis. During the interview, Davis admitted that he knew what Baca was talking about when Baca started to read the story of Xenu and OTIII. (a level in Scientology’s Bridge To Total Freedom)
The cult has always denied OTIII’s existence. As a matter of fact, in an earlier interview on CNN, Davis DENIED knowing about Xenu and OTIII and said it was ridiculous. Here is a back to back video that someone put together on YouTube of the two interviews. (don’t mind the little silly things that were added) You can see for yourself, that Davis indeed lied during the CNN interview. What a great “church”!

Back to Baca’s interview….
Davis became very heated during the interview and claimed he was very insulted by Baca’s questions. It was a classic. And worth the view. Click here and enjoy!

Baca also reported on how Riverside County, Ca. officials got involved with the fight between the group Anonymous and Scientology at Golden Era Productions aka Gold Base. Matters where brought up at the board of supervisor meetings, which eventually lead to Supervisor Jeff Stone (Mr. Arrogance) pushing through Ordinance 884, which was about restricting targeted residential picketing. This ordinance was not needed and of course it was introduced to Stone by Scientology. What a surprise! Click here to watch.

Baca continued being a thorn in Scientology’s side when he interviewed ex Sea Org members. Maureen Bolstad and others told their sad stories of abuse. (Maureen says she still has a twin sister trapped inside Gold Base) Click here to watch Part one. Part Two

In other news, many grotesque pictures and stories started circulating the tabloids of Katie Holmes and how God awful she looked from being on Scientology’s Purification Rundown. She looked pale, skinny and like she aged twenty years. Nice going Tom!

Then came a real sneaky Scientology move by another one of their famous members.

Performer Beck, pulled a fast one on his fans at The Echo club in California. He played a “benefit” for Educating Children International. But fans soon found out that they plunked down $35.00 a pop for a Scientology front group benefit. Fans were NOT happy that they were never told it was Scientology related. Beck received some very deserved bad PR for pulling the wool over his fan’s eyes. Wonder where all that money ended up anyways?

The March merriment continued….

Scientology’s Fort Harrison Hotel aka Flag, gets a “supposed” $40 million dollar face lift and has a grand re-opening to the chagrin of local residents. (although today the Fort Harrison’s assessment has dropped down to an alarming low) Blame it on recession? Hmmm, don’t think so.

The Fort Harrison promised that it was going to be beneficial to the residents of Clearwater and help to bring life and commerce back to that area. Didn’t happen. Their banquet facilities are not available for rent to the public and their restaurants are not open to the public either. And the icing on the cake? There was that not one local resident hired for employment for the Harrison, due to the fact that the entire staff of the Fort Harrison is employed with Scientology’s very own Sea Org slave labor force. Scientology does not pay their slave labor anywhere close to minimum wage. Try $35.00 – $50.00 a week. That’s when and if they get paid.

I guess Scientology is just too darn busy spending money by opening up new “orgs” elsewhere and paying for their advertising campaigns to worry about paying fair wages, having decent food for their employees or medical care for that matter.

And does the cult pay any taxes on the Fort Harrison? Again… is anyone paying attention?

Tell me again the benefit of having the Fort Harrison Hotel and the Super Power building in Clearwater? The Super Power Building *snicker* remains unfinished (sorry cult members who got duped into donating millions for this fail).

The Super Power Buidling is also racking up $250.00 a day in fines for not being finished. And as of last March 2009, the fines owed by the cult to the town were over $245 thousand dollars. Maybe that is where all the Scientology member’s donations will end up going? To pay off fines? Yep! Clearing the planet! *scam alert*

APRIL! Scientologist, Ben Kasle was arrested and charged with two counts of gross sexual misconduct with a 13 year old girl at the “church”. Even though he only received a slap on the wrist for his crime in my opinion, I hope Ben has learned that you should only touch your own body thetans, and not under age gals.

Then another court case arises!

Former Scientology member, Laura DeCrescenzo filed against Scientology. Click for her case.
From Infinite Complacency about the lawsuit:

“DeCrescenzo is seeking her back pay, damages, the formal cancellation of any illegal documents she signed while on staff and an injunction against Scientology to prevent them either bribing or intimidating potential witnesses in her case.”

MAY was a busy month.
France charged Scientology’s six top officials with fraud and illegally practicing as pharmacists. Two out of the four plantiffs who filed cases against Scientology, settled out of court. (grumble).

Former member, Aude-Claire Malton, claimed she was forced by her Scientologist boss to do auditing, and when she refused, she was fired. Nice going!

Of course this is not the first time Scientology has been in trouble in France. A little refresher:

“As in the five previous cases France brought against Scientologists, prosecutors are focusing on charges and evidence of the organization’s manipulating members to wring money out of them — not on any of the spiritual beliefs or practices that may be involved. The first time that happened, in 1978, a Paris court found Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard guilty of vulgar fraud.

In 1997, a Lyon court convicted five Scientology officials of similar charges, which were linked to the suicide of a debt-ridden church member. That verdict came with fines and a suspended prison sentence.”

Then rounding out the end of the month, Wikipedia bans Scientology from editing entries. This was a major win and also a major embarrassment for Scientology. Sorry trolls!

Oh dear….. and it continues…

JUNE ….
a wife sued Narconon (be sure to read the whole story) for treatment of her then fiance. She claimed:

“Daniel Locatelli was subjected to verbal attacks, often of an anti gay substance. He was denied medical care when he needed it and the staff kept him and his belongings against his will when he asked to leave. He finally escaped after 4 days. Among the claims against the facilities and their employees and agents are breach of contract, fraud in the inducement, negligent misrepresentation and fraudulent misrepresentation.”

The two facilities involved were Narconon Southern California and Narconon Joshua Hills.

Zingo! Scientology!

Actor David Carradine was was found dead in a Bangkok Hotel room. Cause of death was erotic asphyxiation. *kinky* His family members, Sienna, Calista, and wife Anne are all avid Scientologists.

Although Carradine was supposedly not a “practicing” Scientologist, he performed in many Scientology functions, including riding the float in their shameless participation of the Christmas parade in Hollywood, as well as reading Christmas stories in the Scientology Celebrity Center Christmas Celebrations.

Then came two shining knights.
Those two knights are Joe Childs and Thomas Tobin. Authors at the St. Petersburg Times.

Joe and Thomas wrote a scathing series called the Truth Rundown for The St. Petersburg Times.

They interviewed ex Scientology top officials, Marty Rathbun, Mike Rinder, Amy Scobee, and Tom DeVocht. These former Sea Org members spoke of a sadistic game of musical chairs, physical and mental abuse and beatings of other members that they witnessed at the hands of current cult lead David Miscavige.

This series was very lengthy and too long to list here, so please be sure to click on the “Truth Rundown” link above and read the coverage in it’s entirety. There is also recorded interviews of ex-members on video on the “SP Times” website.

Also in June, on the Why We Potest website, a list was started by Anonymous. It is a list of ex-Scientologists who have left the cult and have spoken out. You can find this list on the Why We Protest Wiki. The list has reached over 875 names and continues to climb weekly. Kudos to Anonymous!

Then on a sad note, another tragic Scientology death.

Scientologist, Steve Brackett, committed suicide. Brackett was a HUGE donor for the still not open and incomplete Super Power Building in ClearwaterFl. He ended his life by leaping to his death from the Bixby Bridge in Ca.

Brackett was a higher level “OT” on Scientology’s Bridge To Total Freedom. (more proof it does not exist) He was also once engaged to Scientology fanatic Nancy Cartwright. Rumor has it that Nancy did not attend his ceremony. Nice going Cartwright!

Nancy Cartwright herself has donated over 10 million dollars to Scientology and continues to dole out the cash. That’s 10 million her two children will never see. SAD.

SURPRISE! John Travolta FINALLY admits that his son Jett DID have autism, after a Bahama police report was leaked in the National Enquirer. Although the Enquirer is known to be a “rag”, this time the story they leaked was right on the money. John could not hide the truth any longer. Question is…. why did he hide the truth in the first place? Because of Scientology? You betcha!

Yep, June was a FINE month indeed! But not for Scientology. *guffaw*

JULY was pretty quiet…But a second report came out that Scientology’s asbestos laden cruise ship the Freewinds, was STILL polluting the waters and land on the island of Bonaire by continuing to dump dangerous waste water from their ship.

Sean Paton, a Bonaire resident is desperately trying to save Bonaire. Kudos to Sean!

Sean posted two videos on YouTube in the past, which showed the Freewinds actually dumping waste water, and then a second video, showing the testing of that waste water. The
video showed how dangerous the waste water was that the Freewinds was dumping. These videos have since been removed from YouTube.

I found out why. UPDATED: In a RECENT video dated Dec. 14th 2009, Sean Patton, it shows waste water being dumped in the middle of the night. Sean Paton also explains why the videos were removed from YouTube. Sean said:

“We have taken videos off the Internet, so that locals can secure their economy and that there is no threat to local Government, and have done everything we could to try to keep this in a peaceful mode.”

Boniare continues to let the Freewinds dump their waste water. A talk of a water treatment plant has started, but the longer the months tick on, the more dangerously polluted Bonaire becomes. In all fairness, the Freewinds is not solely to blame for all of Bonaire’s pollution. But the Freewinds is still a big contributor to the pollution and the Bonaire government continues to allow them to dump. Whether they allow it or not, The Freewinds should STOP.

Around this time in July, we also heard rumors of Travolta leaving Scientology. But of course we all know that never happened, and Scientology obviously has since ”handled” him. I guess Travolta fears his personal life will be made public from his Scientology PC folders. I now call him a big coward and I have lost any respect I had for him. Sorry John!

Also in July, it was announced that Kelly Preston and Travolta were to attend Maria Shriver’s Women’s Conference and be interviewed for the first time after their son’s death. (we all know what happened to that interview)

But then came AUGUST.
Another block buster month.

Scientology had a big response to all the ex members who went public with their stories in the St. Petersburg Times articles. Scientology called them liars, and of course cried character assassination. *snicker*

The cult in all their stupidity, like a bunch oh high school kids, put out a 40 page expose in their “Freedom Magazine” which they mailed to their members. Sorry, I won’t provide a link to their Freedom Magazine website. Reason? You should use a proxy to protect your IP.

In their magazine, Scientology called Tobin and Childs (St. Petersburg Times authors) “Merchants of Chaos” and gave “comic book villain” type names to the ex members who spoke out. They also filled their magazine steep with lies by twisting the information which was contained in the ex member’s ”PC folders”.

FYI, “PC Folders” are folders filled with member’s personal information which is acquired from them when they are audited on an “e-meter“. (Scientology calls this spiritual counseling, but it’s just a lie detector) So ethical isn’t it?

Hey Scientology members, your “PC files” are not safe from prying eyes and they never will be!

Then more ex cult members came forward, and there were other interviews in the St. Petersburg Time. Including Jackie Wolf, Mark Fisher, Bruce Hines, Jeff Hawkins, Marc Headley, Shelly Corrias, Steve Hall, and Gary Morehead and more.

The sadness continued with cult member Gloria Lopez, who sadly committed suicide in France. Before her death she wrote:

“she owed money to the organization for courses, was struggling to advance up the path to spiritual enlightenment, really wanted to succeed as a Scientologist, and regretted every mistake in her life.”

Lopez’s family estimated that she spent over $400,000 in Scientology courses, auditing and materials.

Lopez deep in debt to Scientology, could not find any other way out in her mind and felt like a complete failure. She stood smiling on the train tracks of an oncoming train. The train could not stop in time. Her life was ended. Her family, (not Scientologists) decided to file a suit against Scientology. Lopez’s son Gwen stated:

“If, by bringing a case, we can open people’s eyes, it will have been worth it.”

Ex member, Martine Boublil also filed a suit against Scientology. Her story was both sad and outrageous.

“A 48-year-old Frenchwoman, is said to have been found being held, half naked, on a vermin-infested mattress in a house in Sardinia. She filed a complaint saying that her brother – an ex-doctor and prominent Scientologist– had kidnapped her, trying to treat her psychological problems himself. The Church of Scientology and Boublil’s brother, Claude, denies she was kidnapped and described the case as a “tragic family affair” that the media had sought to exploit.”

A family affair? Exploitation? Oh come on Scientology, you can do better than that.

August also brought about the firing of head mistress, Jacqueline Olivier, of Will and Jada (we are not Scientologists) Smith’s New Village Academy in Calabasas, Ca.

The Smith’s denied that their school had anything to do with Scientology, even though you can go to the website and plainly read for yourself that their school teaches the “tech” written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard if you look hard enough.

The Smith’s employed some Scientologists as teachers. Apparently, after a while, Foster was not totally “on board” with teaching the L. Ron Hubbard Tech to the children, and the Smith’s decided to fire her and hire another SCIENTOLOGIST who was on board with teaching the mind control tech. Wonder how long this school will stay open?

The St. Petersburg Times reports a fabulous ”Strength in Numbers” story. Horrifying stories from more ex members who came forward to speak out. Another big win by the two white knights, Thomas Tobin and Joe Childs. Kudos again boys!

SEPTEMBER…
Will and Jada Smith finally admitted that their school does in fact teach L. Ron Hubbard “tech”. Told you so.

According to sources, this years new season at the Smith’s New Village school appeared to have dwindling numbers. Many parents pulled their kids out when they found out what was being taught there. Scientology parents of course left their kids continue to be further brainwashed. SAD.

On to OCTOBER….
A scary month. Especially for Scientology!
Another brave knight appears. Martin Bashir.

On Oct 22nd and 23rd, ABC Nightline’s, Martin Bashir interviewed Scientology spokesman Tommy Davis.

Martin Bashir

Davis ended up walking off the set in the middle of the interview after having a hissy fit. Once again he claims he was insulted by the questioning. Most “churches” will tell you anything you want to know, and be more than willing to talk about it. Nope not Scientology. Not without paying for it.

Click here for Part One and Part Two. It’s a must see, if you haven’t seen it.

Onward….
All charges that Scientology filed against protester “Anon Orange” for “trespassing” at Golden Era Productions, aka Gold Base last Oct 2008, were dropped.

Anon Orange continues to counter sue with a Civil case against the cult for a myriad of charges stemming from his brutal arrest in 2008, which includes assault and battery, wrongful arrest, excessive force, emotional distress, several Ca. code violations and the list goes on. A jury trial was requested. Click here to watch the brutal attack of Anon Orange by Scientology guards at Gold Base in 2008. During this video, you can hear the Gold Base LOUD “organ tone” in the video,
which Scientology used whenever protesters showed up. Talk about super creepy!

The guards used excessive force against anon Orange and pushed his face in the dirt. Keep in mind the guards did not use legal procedures and are not allowed to legally attack or hand cuff someone in this manner, yet they were never charged with anything. WHY?
It will be interesting to see the outcome of this case.

And so on……
Scientology was convicted of fraud in France! Viva la France!
They were convicted of fraud and dispensing vitamins without a license. To read a rundown of the ruling, click here.

Then a major Scientology celebrity leaves the cult.
Crash director. Paul Haggis left Scientology in a public letter written to “foot bullet boy” and Scientology spokesman, Tommy Davis. It was posted on former cult member, Marty Rathbun’s website. Marty is still practicing Scientology as an independent. There are several different groups with various names that do this. One is called the Freezone. These are people who left the ”church”, but still practice Scientology, but are free from the “church”.

Then another important person leaves Scientology. He was an OTVIII (level 8 on the Scientology’s Bridge to Total Freedom) public Scientologist, Geir Isene. He also left very publicly and has spoken out on Rathbun’s site.

Just so you understand….. there are different types of Scientologists. There are staff members, Sea Org members, and public members. Publics are much more free than the staff and Sea Org members. They are not subjected to the same abuses. Although they can be harassed and hounded to donate more money and mortgage their homes. Scientology lingo for this is called being “regged”. Whether it is to take more courses, buy more tapes and books, or do more auditing sessions. Scientology squeezes their members hard, especially at IAS (International Association of Scientologists) events.

Speaking of books….
Two new books were published in October. Ex Sea Org member Marc Headley’s Blown For Good: Behind The Iron Curtain Of Scientology (mentioned earlier) finally came out, and former Sea Orger, Nancy Many wrote My Billion Year Contract.
They did several interviews too. Both of their wonderful books are available at Amazon.

Travolta and Preston canceled their appearance on the Maria Shriver Women’s Conference and said they were just not ready to talk. Although Travolta and daughter jumped right into filming Old Dogs shortly after the Bahama court case was pushed to January 2010.

My my….What can possibly be next?
NOVEMBER!

The St. Petersburg Timesdelivered with an early Christmas present with their coverage called “Chased by Their Church“. We also covered that story.

A small snippet from that article:

“For years, the Church of Scientology chased down and brought back staff members who tried to leave.
Ex-staffers describe being pursued by their church and detained, cut off from family and friends and subjected to months of interrogation, humiliation and manual labor.”

The story of ex Sea Orger, Don Jason also hit the St. Petersburg Times. His story of having to jump off a Scientology ship to escape, was yet another scathing tale that Scientology wasn’t to keen about.

As always, Scientology keeps insisting that ALL of these ex member’s stories are all lies. Which by now is sounding beyond ridiculous. How many times does Scientology really think they can continue to claim that all these ex member’s stories are bunk? It is making them look less and less credible. Well, they were never credible from the start.

Sweet November continues…..
Yes November brought us Senator Xenophon. A Senator from South Australia. His name is beyond ironic. I thought it was a joke when I first heard it.

If you know the story of Xenu, which was written by L. Ron Hubbard, then you know how much of a “coinky dink? Xenophon’s name is. If you don’t know the story of OTIII, go read it! It’s the story of Xenu and level OTIII on Scientology’s “Bridge To Total Freedom”.

Senator Xenophon requested a senate inquiry into Scientology in Parliament after receiving heart wrenching letters of abuse from ex Scientology Sea Org members. Watch his brilliance in Two parts. Part One and Part Two.

Senator Xenophon

Of course again Scientology continued to deny that these stories were true. This is getting old Scientology!

A shining star evolved from the Senator’s inquiry. An ex Sea Org member by the name of Aaron Saxton. More on Aaron later.

David Miscavige gets sued! The suit has been brought on behalf of ex Scientolgy member John Lindstein.

The complaint covers:

“ that David Miscavige controls the entire Scientology enterprise and is the chief perpetrator of the torts and violations of law including the crime of human trafficking.”

DECEMBER…Golden Era Productions aka Gold Base mentioned earlier. This is the place out in the middle of the desert in Hemet, Ca. where many of the ex member’s stories took place.

Scientology was caught illegally grading it’s property without a permit. They were grading the property DAYS before they applied for a permit. They were also not using the required water trucks to keep the dust down to a minimum. Once they were caught, they applied for a permit and they received said permit the SAME DAY they applied. Wow!

The Fire Department was never contacted, nor the was there a conservation inquiry, which is California law.

You may think, well…not a big deal. Well, yes it is. Not only does it show huge favoritism of the cult by Riverside County officials, but several species of animals (one being an endangered species) whose habitats and more importantly their food supply will most likely be tragically effected by this grading. There are many YouTube videos of this meeting. Here is one that pertains to the animals.

Oddly enough, Scientology was not fined or bothered any further about the illegal grading that took place. Why is that? The name Jeff Stone comes to mind.

I have watched several Riverside County board meetings on YouTube. Stone’s arrogance is appalling. He doesn’t seem to care about his past or present behavior. He has also been caught on tape being totally untruthful and extremely unprofessional. But Karma should be taking care of that in due time. Right Jeff?

Scientology receives an early Christmas present!

The lawsuit filed by John Lindstein, gets ammended to a class action lawsuit. The Metzger Group decides to join Barry Van Sickle and co-counsel the Headleys and Lindstein’s cases. From the Metzger Group website:

“It is the only firm in California whose practice is devoted exclusively to the litigation of toxic injuries other than asbestos-related diseases.”

Although, the Metzger group usually deals with toxic injuries, it has decided to join the case concerning human trafficking.

Although how ironic is it that the Metzger group usually deals with toxic issues and asbestos. After all, the Scientology Freewinds was and allegedly is still asbestos laden. Perhaps the Metzger group can kill two birds with one stone and rally former ex members to file a class action lawsuit against Scientology for asbestos exposure. After all, Scientology knew about the asbestos contamination aboard the Freewinds YEARS and YEARS earlier, but chose to do NOTHING about it. Scientology allowed staff and passengers to continue to sail, until the Curacao government shut them down. Tsk Tsk! (Our very own Dawn Olsen saw the Freewinds with her own eyes parked at a dock in Aruba during Thanksgiving – so that deathship is still toxifying the air in the Caribbean.)

Back to ex Scientology Sea Org member Aaron Saxton.

Aaron recently stood in solidarity with Anonymous members, and other protesters in Australia in front of the Sydney Scientology org. He was armed with a microphone and he tried to talk some sense into the members still inside and was addressing them by name. Hopefully they were able to hear him. Click here and watch. More ex members are joining Anonymous and attending protests world wide.

Scientology recently made a ”Crusade” video which was leaked, and is now circulating on YouTube. Several sites have carried the story about this video calling it creepy.

The video features several Scientologists, some actors? (not A-listers) including cultist Nancy Cartwright who was looking pretty darn awful, asking Scientology members to donate more money so Scientology can build more ”Ideal orgs”. They want to rasie money so they can have all their “orgs” (their name for “churches”) bought, built or refurbished by the end of 2010. In the video, Cartwright says and I quote:

“I have a chalkboard in my kitchen….it says donate MORE”

I threw up a little watching this video. Be sure to watch their “Crusade” video, which can be found on YouTube. (if it’s still up) It is beyond creepy. Other parody videos have also sprung up.

Speaking of new orgs…..
Sadly, a couple of new Scientology “orgs” did open. One was in Washington DC. They bussed members in, and members also flew in from all over to make the org look like is was bustling and successful for it’s “grand opening”. Scientology blatantly lied in press releases about the number of people that were in attendance as usual. They do this all the time. They must constantly lie to make it look like they are expanding and still successful. In a press release, Scientology had the audacity to say that 4,000 people where in attendance. In actuality, there were only about 400 people MAX that attended. And yes there is video proof of this on YouTube.

This DC grand opening was hidden by 12 ft walls of curtains, so onlookers could not see inside. They also closed off public streets on a busy Halloween day. This had locals who were not notified of the street closings hopping mad.

Once again, Scientology making more friends enemies.

All orgs that are bought and refurbished, are paid for by Scientlogy member ”donations”. They are constantly scammed into giving m
more and more money. They are continually told they are helping to “clear the planet”.

I have yet to see any evidence of how Scientology is actually helping mankind. Anyone?

Scientology members should go visit the many orgs that were NEVER opened or refurbished, or ones that have since closed. Some of these orgs have been vacant for years are and are falling apart. Some have been vacant for over 9 plus years! And even though some struggle to remain open, they are pretty darn empty. IT’S A SCAM PEOPLE!

Another Tragic story emerged from the Telegraph UK paper.
Scientologist Mother Drowns Daughter Than Herself. A snippet from that story:

Judith Richmond, 41, who was suffering from bi-polar disorder, also known as manic depression, had become obsessed with scientology, and a belief that metal was poisoning her daughter Millie and the whole planet.

I would also like to mention that there were several protesters in the group Anonymous who were assaulted by Scientologists and also assaulted by hired security by Scientology in 2009. Two protesters in DC, one in Tennessee, and most recently one in Canada. Court cases that were filed against Scientology are currently pending.

Isn’t it interesting that all anti Scientology protests in the last almost two years now, have been completely peaceful. With the exception of Scientologists harassing, falsely arresting and assaulting the protesters.

There has NOT been one case of a protester assaulting a Scientologist, even though Scientology calls Annonymous a “Hate Group“.

So who is is the REAL hate group here Scientology?

More and more people and ex-members are starting to understand (FINALLY), that Scientology is the pot calling the kettle black.
Scientology is constantly crying wolf and claims religious bigotry as their defense. It’s pretty tough to cry religious bigotry when you are a money making scam business that lives above the law and continually commits crimes and abuses.

According to founder L. Ron Hubbard, and I quote,

”Scientologists are some of the most ethical people on the planet”

I think their behavior, litigious nature, and their bullying which comes from orders from cult leader David Miscavige, speaks for itself.

And one more zinger for 2009….
Tom Cruise gets sued for Five million dollars for wire tapping Michael Sapir. Oh snap! Yes it is case No. BC251644Tom Cruise allegedly wire tapped Michael Sapir’s phone. Several sites picked up this story.

Who knows what 2010 will bring for Scientology? Their downward spiral continues on a daily basis. Can they can survive the continuing deluge of bad publicity, pending court cases, NEW court cases, ex members writing books, closing orgs, ex members doing interviews, and members leaving weekly?

I hope 2010 is Scientology’s last year. The government needs to step it up and investigate all of Scientology’s front groups as well. Scientology has abused people for the last 50 + years. That abuse continues today. They have ruined many people’s lives and many members have died way too soon.

The time to stop this abuse should have been decades ago. I hold not only our Government responsible, but also all the celebrities and members who continue to blindly endorse this insidious cult. Do not support these celebrities.

Over 50 plus years have passed since Scientology’s start. Still there isn’t any proof of one “clear” or “OT” on this entire planet.
HOW ABOUT SHOWING THE WORLD THE PROOF SCIENTOLOGY?

Don’t you think if there were actual ”clears” and “OTs”, that this world would be an entirely different place? Think about it Scientology members!

So to Scientologists….
Don’t be part of the problem, be part of the solution. Reconnect with your family and let your New Year’s resolution be to leave Scientology so you can live your life as you want and be free of the financial burden that Scientology causes you.Your money should be going to your family, not “salvation” David Miscavige’s pockets.
You don’t have to pay the rest of your life away trying to “clear the planet”.

You can still practice Scientology if you truly believe that it really works for you, that is your right, but please look at both sides and research what the “tech” can really do to your thinking.

Remember, nobody can tell you who you can or can not talk to, or what you are allowed to read.

My New Year’s resolution…..
I will continue to fight for what’s right and try to help those who are still trapped inside.

If you need help leaving Scientology, if you have doubts or just need some questions answered and someone to talk to….call 1-866-XSEAORG. This is a toll free call.

I wish everyone a Very Happy and Cult Free New Year!

Guess Who’s a dickhead? Me and this guy.

Well, that was a short-lived goodbye. I know, I know, how can you miss us if we don’t go away. Apparently I was premature in my departure and will be sticking around for a little while longer. The good news is we won’t lose our archives and all the great resources of information about the cult of Scientology won’t be lost, we promise — so suck it David Miscavige!

A recap of the previous post. I will still be tending to my Technorati editorial duties and feel pretty awesome about that, but I also get to post over here. Still not sure what lay at the end of the road, but I promise to keep you informed.

I have heard from many of you about my request for Technorati writers – and that is fantastic. I should clarify some things about what we are looking for.

In October of this year, Technorati re-launched itself as an original content provider. Before the “new” Technorati, the site was best known for being the blog authority and a blog aggregator, or what I like to call, the Google for blogs. Technorati still catalogs and tracks the blogosphere, but now we are also a news provider generating really great content in our Channels focusing on Blogging, Technology, Videos, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Politics, Business and Sports. It’s a big umbrella and there’s a channel for everyone. I run the Entertainment Channel, and help oversee the daily operations of the site.

We are searching for blog-savvy individuals who want to increase their traffic, expose their writing to the millions of readers who visit Technorati each day and help writers improve their writing skills through editorial mentoring. This isn’t a paid writing job, but the benefits of writing for Technorati pay for themselves in the many ways I mentioned above.

I am sorry for the false alarm and Queen and I were overwhelmed with the almost universally positive response from so many of you.

So, I hope you will stick around, because there will be delicious caek and <strike>sexual favors</strike> punch offered later.

Dear Glosslip Readers,

It is with mixed feelings, both sad and hopeful, I write to inform you that Glosslip is to be no more. We’ve had a great run in our almost 3 years of publishing. During that time we chronicled the sad story of Anna Nicole, the meltdown of Britney Spears, the multiple missteps of Lindsay Lohan and most important, we helped expose the dangerous cult of Scientology. It is my sincerest hope that the latter will be the legacy of this site.

While there were many great moments over the last 3 years, it is time to move on. I have been hired as the Senior Editor at Technorati.com and I am really excited about my new job which includes mentoring new writers, generating new content and hopefully creating a wonderful mix of entertaining original news stories. I hope you will join me over at my new home.

Also, we are actively recruiting new writers at Technorati, and if you are a blogger, this is a great way to expose your writing to an even bigger audience. At close to 90 million pageviews a month, Technorati is still the blog authority and on its way to becoming the news authority. If you are interested in writing about Sports, Entertainment, Blogging, Technology, Video, Politics, Lifestyle or Business, we have a channel for that and you can contact me personally for more information at dmdo1016@yahoo.com.

I would love to find some new entertainment writers and continue our coverage of our pals still trapped in Scientology, so if that’s an interest for you and you have strong writing skills, please do email me.

Thank you Glosslip readers, I still believe we had the most intelligent readers on the web and I thank each of you for your support.

Best,
Dawn Olsen

           ———————————————

From Queen, my partner and crime and the glue who held the site together for the last few months:

A big thanks to all the regular readers and people who have taken time to leave comments on my articles. Thanks to all who have put up with my poor grammar, typos and my forever babbling.

I thoroughly enjoyed shedding light on the cult of Scientology and will continue to do so. I am asking everyone to join in the fight against the abuses and human rights violations that Scientology is guilty of. Write your legislators, speak out, or join a protest. Do what you can to help members who are still trapped inside.

Boycott any performers who support Scientology. Their money only ends up in Scientology’s pockets. The less you support them, the less they will have to give to the cult.

For those members still in…

Be part of the solution, not part of the problem. For help leaving Scientology, call 1-866-XSEAORG (toll free call) I wish everyone good health, wealth, peace and romance. I think that about covers it.

Over and Out.

Affectionately,
Queen

Scientology has had a horrendous October.

They were convicted of fraud in France and both the St. Petersburg Times and ABC’s Nightline had very damaging reports from ex members who have spoken out.

A multitude of lawsuits are moving forward and the media continues to be a thorn in Scientology’s side.

One of Scientology’s long time members, celebrity Paul Haggis has recently flown the coop and has spoken out. Also many members, and high level “OT’s” have left the cult.

Two new books by ex members have just been published.

Marc Headley wrote “Blown For Good, Behind Scientology’s Iron Curtain” and Nancy Many has written, “My Billion Year Contract“. Kudos to them!

Both Books Available On Amazon.com

Well, November isn’t looking any better for Scientology.

Just yesterday, Australian Senator, Nicholas (Nick) Xenophon has called for a Senate inquiry into Scientology.

The Senator presented horrific stories that were sent to him by ex Scientology members, Aaron Saxton, Carmel Underwood, Paul Schofield, Anna and Dean Detheridge and Kevin Mackey.

Xenophon stated,

that the ex members claim that Scientology is an abusive, manipulative, violent and criminal organisation, and that criminality is condoned at the highest levels and thatand said he is seeing a worldwide pattern of abuse and criminality.

The Senator’s presentaion was well researched with highlights on the cult’s many abuses and their tax exemption status.
For the transcript listed on the Parliament of Australia website, click here.

A little look into what was said by ex members and reported by the Senator.
Ex member, Aaron Saxton’s who was born into Scientology, was made a security guard for the cult at age 16. His time while in the cult, tells a horrific tale of what Scientology forced him to do or suffer their consequences.

Aaron said he had to commit many fraudulent acts on behalf of the cult. These acts included coercing Sea Org members into having abortions, family disconnection, he was made to falsify bank records, he blackmailed other members by using their private info from their files, and participated in defrauding of credit cards.

More disturbingly, Aaron had to pull out his own teeth because of lack of medical care. He was also told not to report that a man attempted to rape him.

A couple of snippets from the Senator’s transcript, (please read the entire transcript):

Aaron said he was so heavily under the control of the organisation’s bizarre power structure he was complicit in ordering the beating of one follower and facilitated the beating of another.

Aaron has now left the organisation and is willing to cooperate with police investigations into these matters. He was born into the cult, and he says he regrets the control it had over him and the things he did as a result.

Ex Sea Org member, Carmel Underwood.
Carmel worked for the cult in Sydney. She was also the financial planning arm of the cult. When she became pregnant, she was pressured to abort her child.

Some snippets on Carmel from the transcript:

She was working for the organisation in Sydney she fell pregnant and was put under extreme pressure to have an abortion. When she refused, she was put on a disappearing program.

Carmel says she chose to speak out because she knows there are many more victims of Scientology many of whom are still caught up in the organisation and are being physically, financially and mentally abused.

Carmel’s husband, Tim, supports his wife’s story and says the couple suffered serious financial hardship because of their involvement in the organisation. He says they were forced to pay more than $100,000 to publicise the organisation and for so-called religious texts and courses.

And finally on to the very sad story of Paul Schofield.
Paul lost his two young daughters while in the cult.

Snippets from the transcript on Paul:

He alleges the cover-up of child abuse by the organisation and admits being part of a campaign to cover up the facts surrounding the deaths of two of his daughters. Paul says his first daughter, Lauren, who was 14 months old, was being babysat at the organisation’s building in Sydney when she was allowed to wander the stairs by herself and fall. She died in hospital two days later. Paul says he felt pressured by Scientology executives not to request a coronial inquiry—pressure he ultimately gave in to. He was also told if he sought compensation from Scientology he and his wife would be ineligible for any other services.

His second daughter, Kirsty, who was 2½, died after ingesting potassium chloride—a substance used as part of a so-called purification program run by the organisation. Under the direction of Scientology executives, Paul says he perjured himself to the police, and during the coronial inquest, in order to protect the organisation. Under incredible pressure he agreed to lie because he was scared he would be heavily punished by Scientology if he told the truth. It is a decision he regrets to this day.

From ex members Anna and Dean Detheridge, taken from the transcript:

claim to have been subjected to physical and mental abuse during their time with the organisation.

From Kevin Mackey taken from the transcript:

Kevin Mackey wrote to me detailing his 26 years of abuse in the organisation.

Once you have taken the bait and become hooked, the real Scientology is presented, very slowly, over years.

This psychological conditioning Kevin is talking about eventually saw him and his wife hand over almost a million dollars to the organisation in exchange for services and products.

Senator’s closing statements to parliament pretty much sums up what anti Scientology protesters and ex members who have spoken out against the cult have been all saying right along:

Do we really want to be funding an organisation that turns supporters into victims in its pursuit of power and wealth? That is why I am calling for a Senate inquiry into this organisation and its tax-exempt status. In the past Scientology has claimed that those who question their organisation are attacking the group’s religious freedom. It is twisted logic, to say the least. Religious freedom did not mean the Catholic or Anglican Churches were not held accountable for crimes and abuses committed by their priests, nuns and officials—albeit belatedly. Ultimately, this is not about religious freedom. In Australia there are no limits on what you can believe. But there are limits on how you can behave. It is called the law, and no-one is above it.

Thankfully, the Australain Police are now taking complaints on Scientology.

Ex members are starting to come out from the veil of secrecy and fight more than ever. Yesterday, it was announced on the Ex Scientology Message Board, that former member Kevin Mackey, (mentioned earlier) is getting together a class action lawsuit along with twenty other former Scientologists. The lawsuit willbe filed against the I.A.S. (which stands for International Association of Scientology) and Super Power. Both are incorporated in California, so that is where the case is being filed. He is asking for any ex members interested in participating in this class action suit to please contact him.

Kevin and other ex members are demanding their money back for contributions that they made. The money they handed over to the cult, did not go where the cult promised it was going.

FYI … The Super Power they speak of is a building attached to the Ft. Harrison Hotel in Clearwater. It is of course called The Super Power Building. (<click to read about it, it’s a real hoot!)

Funds have been collected from members for years through Scientology’s “Super Power Expansion Project”. Where did all that money go?

The building was supposed to have been finished by the cult years ago. But it still remains an empty shell to this day. As of late March 2009, work on the building which is the length of a whole city block, is still at a standstill; the daily fines levied by the city now total $245,000.
Click here, for more info on why the Super Power Building remains closed by Marc Headley aka BFG which was written almost THREE YEARS ago.

Why Clearwater stands for Scientology’s shenanigans, is beyond me. I would imagine since Scientology has managed to slink their way in and buy up most of Clearwater over the years, (originally came in under a FAKE church name to purchase the Fort Harrison Hotel), that city officials are probably afraid of falling prey to the cult’s litigious nature and fair game tactics. Sad.

So once again America…
Why so lax? What’s it going to take?

The more our government sits idly by and allows the abuses and fraud of Scientology to continue, the more complicit they are in helping them to survive.

Again, as always…
you can believe in what you want, and that is your right. But when there is a continuous mountain of evidence that your “church” is being an abusive and corrupt organization that does not follow it’s own creed, it’s time to reavaluate the reasons why you joined Scientology in the first place.
Be part of the solution, not part of the problem. Plain and simple.

The people who contacted Senator Xenophon, are all listed on the “ex members who have spoken out” list on the Why We Protest Wiki along with their testimonies, interviews and videos. To view the WWP Wiki list click here. (Thanks Anonymous!)

Currently, the count on the Wiki has reached 812 names, and it continues to grow.

WOW! That’s an awful lot of people saying the same thing.

How many times can Scientology deny all these claims before everyone including our government, realizes that Scientology is nothing more than an abusive, fraudulent business that is far from credible?

WAKE UP AMERICA!

Aviva, is a health insurance firm in the UK.
They has just named the top ten health fads of the rich and famous and has deemed them a total waste of money and useless.

Bad news for all the centers and people who offer these treatments and most importantly, bad news for Scientology.

Why Scientology?
Because Scientology is BIG time into detoxing. And detoxing was number four on Aviva’s list.

Well hello Scientology’s Purification Rundown! A double shout out to Scientology’s NY Rescue Workers Detoxification program. (which was spearheaded by Tom Cruise)

AND add to that list, is Scientology’s Narconon, Second Chance, Criminon or any of the many other names that Scientology hides this program behind. It’s all the SAME detox program. These programs are delivered by people without medical backgrounds and these centers and programs are all unlicensed. Shocked?

It’s hard to believe that someone would fork over so much money and sign up for such a grueling program without researching it first. It happens all the time to desperate families searching for a cure to get off drugs and states in the US have actually funded these programs with TAX PAYER’S DOLLLARS.

Celebrities and rich people are big targets for health fads, because they have the dough, they are vulnerable and I guess they just don’t do enough homework on the backgrounds of these treatments.

Aviva reported:

GPs have slammed the health-styles of the rich and famous, warning that UK women are wasting money and potentially risking their health following celebrity health fads like cupping, colonic irrigation or extreme detoxes.

GPs have named and shamed the ten most useless alternative health trends used by celebrities and their fans and, in a damning diagnosis, declared many a waste of money and with no medical value. The research was done for Aviva. To try each treatment on the GPs’ list could cost women more than £800.GPs have issued a stark warning that celebrities are having a dangerous level of influence over women’s health choices and that celebrity endorsement of unproven health treatments could be putting the public at risk.

Nine in ten women believe celebrities pay for the very best and most effective treatments. A third will try a health fad simply because a celebrity has used it. Seven in ten would try alternative treatments rather than visit their doctor.

Dr Douglas Wright for Aviva says, “We understand that people like to deal with their own well being in a number of ways, but too many women are wasting money following health fads that have little effect, Just because it is expensive, or rumoured to be a celebrity favourite, is not an automatic guarantee that a treatment will work. Some women are opting for treatment trends rather than seeking medical advice.”

The Daily Mail reported the top ten:

Cupping, a form of acupuncture in which heated cups are placed on the skin to stimulate blood flow and ease stress and pain, tops a list of ‘health hoaxes’ identified by GPs.

Second on the list is colonic irrigation, in which a large, water-filled tube is used to ‘cleanse’ the bowel.

Actor Ben Affleck has tried it, but there is no medical or scientific evidence it works, according to the NHS Choices website.

In third place is food intolerance testing, which singer Geri Halliwell has tried. Kits can cost up to £275 but the results are said to be highly variable.

The others in the top ten are: 4 detoxing; 5 macrobiotic diets; 6 aromatherapy; 7 reflexology; 8 vitamin B12 injections; 9 extreme yoga; 10 overnight health farm stays.
The list was compiled by insurance firm Aviva from a survey of 200 GPs.

Now although all of the top ten fads that Aviva named can be a waste of money, not all can be harmful. For instance, I doubt if cupping, food intolerance tests or extreme yoga (whatever that is) would be very harmful?

But detox is. I was REALLY pleased as punch to see detoxing on their list. Some of the detoxes out there can be quite harmful to the body. And of course one of the detoxes out there is Scientology’s Purification Rundown aka the “Purif” for short.

This regiment consists of ingesting oil, and mega doses of niacin aka “vitamin bombs”, LONG daily saunas that are up to five hours a day for five or more weeks and working out hard on a tread mill. Niacin in such high doses can be very harmful to the liver.

Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard also claimed that this program can rid the body of radiation . *snort!*

Recently, ABC Nightline interviewed Scientology defector, Amy Scobee, in a two part series along with other defectors.

Amy spoke about ”grey stuff” coming out of her pours from being on the Purification Rundown. She said she was FORCED to go on this program while she was in Scientology’s Sea Org and was put on a punishment called the RPF. (Rehabilitation Project Force)

Cult spokesman, Tommy Davis said that Amy was not forced to go on this program and that she used the program for “religious reasons”.

So…..
if the Rundown is “religious” as Davis states, then why is this same exact program used in Scientology’s Narconon and Criminon programs? And why are states funding these programs? Scientology has always claimed that Narconon and Criminon are separate from Scientology and non religious. Hmmm, which one is it Scientology? It can’t be both.

Scientology’s Narconon program has been banished from several countries.
Scientology was also recently convicted of fraud in France. One of the many charges involved it’s Purification Rundown. They were charged for dispensing vitamins without a license.
Thank you France!

Why doesn’t our government investigate Scientology? Especially after the numerous court cases filed against them. That is a real head scratcher, don’t you agree?

I guess it doesn’t bother our government that these programs are run by non professionals who have NO medical backgrounds. They are unlicensed and there isn’t any scientific data to back up their claims that the detox does ANYTHING beneficial for the body at all. In fact it is just the opposite.

Narconon’s outright lie of their 70% success rates (so laughable) of getting people off drugs with this detox regiment is utterly ridiculous. The government pretends to care about our well being, but they do nothing to stop this madness and allows Scientology to continue to prey on people who need REAL help.

Perhaps the insurance companies will do something about it? I doubt they will want to deal with cases filed with health related issues from these regiments. Easy solution… close all the Narconon and other Scientology detox centers down.

So what about the Scientology celebrities who support this pseudo science?

Before John Travolta’s son’s untimely death this past January, Travolta put his son Jett on this SAME regiment and openly admitted it. Did John and his wife Kelly Preston actually believe that this regiment would really help Jett with his seizures or autism? Well, obviously they did. They are taught to believe whatever their “church” says without questioning it.

I am not quite sure on how the Travoltas were able to put Jett through such a grueling program? I would think it would be very difficult to put ANY child on this program. I guess since John and Kelly are celebrities, and their cult convinced them that this was the right way to go according to their teachings, they will never be questioned further about it. *shakes head*

Their son has been gone now for 10 months and John and Kelly said they are having “daily religious sessions“ with Scientology.

So it looks like there is no hope for John leaving the cult. Him and bimbo wife Kelly will continue to follow a cult that tells them that all psyche drugs are bad, psychiatry is totally evil, that a body is just a “meat body”and that normal emotions like grieving and sadness are very low on the tone scale.

To suppress such normal emotions, especially when it comes to a child’s death, is downright ludicrous and very dangerous to some one’s well being.

A little bit of info on some of the emotions listed on Scientology’s tone scale:

The tone scale states that grieving is 0.5 (out of a possible plus 40) Sympathy is 0.9, and NO Sympathy is higher at a 1.2.
Oh! and regret weighs in at a whopping 1.3.

Nope, I am not making this up. Look it up for yourself. This is what every Scientologist believes. From Tom Cruise, to all Scientology members. I am not going to get into their whole Xenu alien belief system, as many religions have strange beliefs to some. People can believe in whatever they want and that is their right. BUT! when it comes to harming people both mentally and physically, family disconnection, other abuses, human trafficking, and forced abortions, something must be done about it.

Of course Scientology tells it’s members that the Purification Rundown is a wonderful and beneficial thing, and members do not question it. I read the program costs a member $15,000 (that price was from 1992) I am pretty sure that price has doubled. That’s a lot of money for oil, vitamins a couple of courses and a tone scale chart.

We all remember what Katie Holmes looked like after she went on this regiment. Her pictures were plastered everywhere showing her gaunt, pale, and sickly. She went on this program before she became pregnant. Great Tom, you’re my hero.

Katie also wore gloves for quite a while because her hands were purple from all the niacin she was ingesting. Oh Katie, how many times do we have to tell you? Run!

Katie Looking More Like Grandma Cruise

So people save your money. Do some research. If the fad you are following is not dangerous and you have the dough, and it makes you think that you feel better, then that’s your business and good luck to you. But if it is harmful, and being delivered by non professionals with no medical backgrounds and there is NO scientific proof of it’s success besides patient testimonies, BEWARE and I say stay away.

It is obvious many of the states who have funded and continue to fund this “drug treatment” program, have not done their homework at all, when it comes to Scientology’s Purification Rundown. State officials MUST check backgrounds and research the name of these drug treatments being offered. Don’t forget, they are using your tax payer dollars to fund these programs. People must learn to read the fine print. If the name L. Ron Hubbard is found ANYWHERE within the program, then it is Scientology lock stock and barrel. No question about it.

These programs are also allowed to continue in our prison systems, which goes by the name of Criminon, or Second Chance and other names. And of course many Scientology members, both public and on staff do this regiment.

You can find Narconon, Second Chance and other names used for drug rehab all over the Internet, even though many centers are closed. They advertise in college fliers on campus, they take out adds in newspapers, they hand out pamphlets in our schools. So Beware!

How is Scientology allowed to continue this giant farce? Especially for the fact that is is also all about indoctrination into Scientology down the line. It really blows my mind how our government continues to allow such idiocy.

Luckily, some states have wised up.
New Mexico was not only duped, by the Second Chance program, they were left with a hefty unpaid bill. And some other areas in other states have thankfully shown these Scientology programs the door. France finally convicted Scientology, and I hope the US follows suit and also puts an end to it and banishes all their drug treatment centers. Enough is enough.

If you have or know a family member or friend who is considering going to Narconon, Second Chance or any drug treatment, please warn them to do their homework first! Also If you have a friend or family member in jail who was put on this program or offers this program, you have been warned.

Help lift the veil of secrecy off Scientology. Write or call your town officials, heads of state, write to Obama, join an anti Scientology protest and let your voice be heard and say the Church of Scientology needs to be investigated and held accountable for all of it’s human rights abuses, phony drug treatment centers and all the lives they have ruined and continue to ruin.

We will continue reporting the abuses of Scientology until someone listens and something is done about it.

I happened to catch Lady GaGa’s new video Bad Romance
or shall I say Nemiroff’s Vodka new video?

I had to both laugh and cringe at the story behind her video and the rampant amount of product placement.

By the looks of this video, it seems like Nemiroff Vodka (which you can see about seven times in the video) is the winner of the “most shoved in your face award” hands down.

The video not not only shows the Lex Nemiroff bottles repeatedly, they show people drinking glasses of clear liquid which is supposed to insinuate drinking the vodka. They also show someone pouring it into a glass, and also forcing a glass of clear liquid down GaGa’s throat.

Nemiroff Vodka is not only being shoved down GaGa’s throat in the video, but GaGa chose to shove it down her fan’s throats.

Then there is the story behind the video, that can be very questionable to certain audiences. Doesn’t GaGa have an awful lot of young fans? Was booze, kidnapping and sex slaves the right direction to go with this video? We will get to that in a bit.

The product placement is EVERYWHERE in this video.

In the beginning of the video, once you get past the first picture of the Nemiroff Vodka bottle, there is a group shot of the “cast” in the video and right up front on either side of GaGa is a Parrot by Starck pair of black funnel tower speakers with an iPod or iPhone perched on top on the left speaker.

Then you can see GaGa’s mesh covered finger push the button on a Parrot by Starck iPod speaker. Parrot by Starck was designed by French product designer Philippe Starck (although the real product name is “Zimku”). It is a $1,600 sound system for an iPhone or iPod.

We then move on to GaGa wearing a pair of her very own silver Lady Gaga Heartbeats head phones in the bath tub scene. These will set you back $100.00 and of course, they’re available on her website.

Then THREE times you see GaGa wearing a pair of white “Safari” sunglasses by Carrera.

And last but not least, there is the HP Envy Beats Limited Edition laptop and headphones by Monster. There is a whole row of these laptops to show the “sex slave bidding” results in the video’s story. The laptop logo was very prevalent. A real bargain at $2,500.

Also making an appearance, was a Wii controller a couple of times which was used to bid on GaGa the sex slave by the bidding Russian mafia men. Wonder how Wii weighs in on what their controller was used for?

Now there are a few smaller product placements in the video, but they are not as visible. There are gold aluminum cans in the beginning of the video on the floor and some of the “actors” are holding them. Maybe someone knows what they are?

There are also plastic bottles of a red “drink” on the tables which are seen several times. It also shows one the “actors” drinking one of these bottles. Looks like Vitamin Water (acai blueberry) to me, but the name is not visible. I guess they didn’t pay enough moolah for their name to be visible in the video. Funny they showed people pouring vodka, made it look like people were drinking vodka, but put no emphasis on the Vitamin Water.

They showed SO much vodka in this video, I was kind of shocked. Even though you don’t actually see the word vodka on the bottle, I still think it was a big mistake. Gaga has a lot of young fans, what kind of message does this send? In one of her earlier videos,LoveGame, it shows people drinking Campari on the subway. Again, more booze placement.

I know many other artists do this too. Rappers show a lot of crap they shouldn’t be showing when it comes to excessive behavior and demeaning women, but this video wins the award for booze placement.

This new video is definitely Lady GaGa’s style in all her wackiness and her “edgy” shenanigans. One of the things I did like about this video, was the scene with the floating crystals around her, I thought that was pretty darn cool.

Now the premise behind the video according to Wikipedia:

“Gaga is kidnapped by a group of supermodels who drug her and then sell her off to the Russian mafia for sex slavery.”

The Russian mafia? OH! That’s where the Nemirfoff Vodka ties in — their bottles state it’s a product of the Ukraine.

Lovely story for young fans, isn’t it? Hello sexual degradation…your table it waiting!

Lady GaGa believes that the opening scene with her wearing a pair of razor blade glasses “portrays a tough female spirit.” I didn’t really pick that up from that scene.

I guess the “tough female spirit” is then squashed with the rest of the video’s story:

“Two women pull her out of a bathtub, rip her clothes off and force her to drink a glass of vodka. As the second verse begins, Gaga seductively dances for a group of men bidding on her. She straddles one of the men and performs somewhat of a lap dance on him.

Afterwards, he raises his bid and becomes the highest bidder for Gaga. When the chorus is played for the third time, Gaga is shown wearing a jacket made of a polar bear hide. She walks toward the man, who is sitting on a bed, unbuttoning his shirt. Gaga has a look of indifference on her face and removes her jacket and sunglasses.

Suddenly, the bed spontaneously combusted with the man still sitting on it. The video ends with Gaga laying beside a smoldering skeleton on top of the destroyed bed with ashes everywhere. She smokes a cigarette, while her pyrotechnic bra goes off”

The Russian Mafia Bidding Scene

Ok, I am not a fan of censorship, but again, she has MANY young fans. Between all the vodka drinking and sex-slave bidding…is this the message GaGa wanted to send? FYI.. Her website sells Lady GaGa back to school supplies.

There was a comment left on her website by a women who said her daughter loved the video so much that she watched it 100 times. Now I know it is up to the parent to police their kids, and I don’t know how old this girl was, but it’s close to impossible to watch your kids 24/7.

I also DID NOT LIKE the polar bear coat, (don’t care if it was fake or not, it is what it implies) nor the dead bat on her head, or the dead impala head mounts on the wall on either side of the bed at the end of the video. Very irresponsible dead animal placement which was certainly not necessary with all the other crap going on in this video.

And some of the lyrics?

The hook of the song is:

Rah-rah-ah-ah-ah!
Roma-Roma-ma-ah!
Ga-ga-ooh-la-la!
Want your bad romance

“GaGa-ooh-la-la”? I can’t stand when artists sing about themselves. Especially when they compliment themselves. Sorry, it’s too damn cheesy.

Some fans think that Bad Romance sounds too much like a faster remix of her other song Poker Face. (eessh, it su-su-sucks)
If you play the two songs back to back, they are very similar. Some fans think it’s her best song that she has done so far.

But you have to admit, for a five minute video that had so many products shown over and over, it came off more like a vodka commercial, rather than a video. She should of used her noggin and just done a Nemiroff Vodka music commercial for them and gear it towards older adults. Oh wait…that’s what she did.

But was the product placement in the video and it’ premise her record company’s idea or hers? Could she say no to product placement in her videos if she wanted to? Did Nemiroff Vodka fund the entire video? I really don’t know how the politics of record companies work. I do know they are quite ruthless, and some record companies have a lot of control over their clients.

BUT with a little research I found…the video was done by Francis Lawrence. He also did I Am Legend. FYI.. GaGa says she is a huge fan of Will Smith. Careful Gaga! I am sure Scientology would love to get you in their clutches!

Back to who was responsible for the video, Lady Gaga stated:

“I wanted somebody with a tremendous understanding of how to make a pop video, because my biggest challenge working with directors is that I am the director and I write the treatments and I get the fashion and I decide what it’s about and it’s very hard to find directors that will relinquish any sort of input from the artist.”

So….GaGa was responsible for the premise behind the video and agreed to the product placement too? That’s what it sounds like. If so, shame on GaGa for not considering her fan’s young impressionable minds.

Hey GaGa! Question…Do you think kidnapping women, forcing liquor down their throats, dancing for men, doing a lap dance and having men bid on women to be their sex slaves while showing a butt load of vodka in your video is showing the same “tough female spirit” as your razor blade glasses?

I couldn’t include all the pictures of all the products in her video, or the whole sex slave story pictures. So watch the video yourself and see how many products you can spy and let me know if this video’s story was a good idea for young eyes.

Now as you can guess, I am not a Lady GaGa fan.

This broad is doing THIRTY ONE gigs between 11/27-1/18 in the US, and then between 2/9-3/08 she is all over Europe with another eleven shows on her tour.

Her eight song album, sells for a reasonable price, (smart move GaGa) and it had four #1 radio hits. So it’s quite obvious that her fans are in love with her ”cover your face up with crap“ get ups and they find her pop songs ever so edgy and innovative.

Maybe if I didn’t witness Madonna’s fame rise up in the 80’s and other bands in the 90’s, I would think that Lady GaGa was edgy and innovative too. But I have seen it all before well before Gaga was born.

This video reminds me of Madonna’s voice (although not in her early years when her voice was really high) with a touch of Marylin Manson’s “Dope Show” video freakishness, and Grace Jones’ costumes all rolled up into one. Now I am not a Madonna, Marilyn Manson or Grace Jones fan either, but they did do it first. And I am not saying their videos were for young eyes either, and Madonna and several other artists (hello Britney) and rappers are FAR from being decent role models. But you would think that GaGa could have used a little more sense for this video, since many of her fans are so young.

Truth be told, like it or loathe it, Lady GaGa’s ”Bad Romance” song is a tough tune to get out of your head. (drat!)

When I watched the video several times and tried to count all the product placements, I had to turn the sound off. This song gets tired real fast. But I am sure it would be a lot of fun to dance to after a couple of martinis in a dance club. Hell ,after a couple of martinis, I will dance to just about anything.

But I can’t imagine having to sing this song for 42 shows. I would be SO tired of dressing up in all that crazy shit every night and singing this song over and over. A performer’s life can be far from glamorous.

GaGa has set herself up for a tiresome future. Her fans will always expect to see her looking outrageous, and wondering what wacky outfit she will be seen in next. Very exhausting way to go career wise, unless she can evolve gracefully.

I saw a couple of pics of her where she wasn’t dressed up at all and she was out and about in town. The first thing the gossip rags commented on, was how plain she looked, and people seemed a tad disappointed in that. Well I guess a true fan could care less what she’s wearing. Right? Still.. it has to be all very exhausting.

Speaking of exhausting…Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (GaGa’s real name) best be careful on her Fame Monster Tour. With a grueling schedule like hers, she can easily burn herself out right quick. Fans can are also be very fickle. What’s in this year may be gone the next. So invest wisely Gaga!

The picture below is a behind the scenes shot which was posted on her website. It’s a shot from the end of the video, minus the cigarette hanging out her mouth which is seen in the finished video. Again…. did she have to include a cigarette? Weren’t the exploding fembot tatas enough?

Hey! Was Amy Winehouse In The Video Too? *snicker*

Demi Moore recently posed for the cover of W magazine.
WHY? Does anyone care?

What the hell is she wearing? This metallic swimsuit toga with epilettes reminds of something out of the movie Mad Max. Who picked out this silly frock?
And talk about smoke and mirrors! Her photo must of had to jump through hoops to achieve the more than obvious photo shop and airbrush -a-rama. If her name was not on the cover, I wouldn’t have known it was her.

There comes a time when someone should just accept that they are getting older, and stop trying to nip and tuck their way back to their youth. When everyone knows your age and they see little evidence of any aging, people just think it’s ridiculous and fake.

Although of course Demi, (make sure you pronounce it De-MEE, ick) completely denies that she has ever had any plastic surgery. Yeah, OK De-MEE. *laughs holding sides*

To make everyone really roll their eyes even more…
Apparently, Ms. Brat Pack has just announced that she would like to be called a puma rather than a cougar.

Bitch please… you are forty seven years old. Pumas are women in their thirties dating older men. Your barking up the wrong tree Ms. Hot Flash!

I never cared for Demi Moore.
She is not that talented and completely full of herself. Top that off with her early interest in Scientology… and that really sealed the deal for me. Thank you Bruce Willis who had the common sense to put his foot down and say no to his kids being raised as Scientologists. Bravo Bruce!

But of course on the other hand, she is seen everywhere with that silly red Kabala string around her wrist. I guess they photo shopped it out of the pictures?
Kutcher and her also got married by a Kabalah minister or whatever the heck. Silly celebutards. *Rolls eyes*

So on to her MUCH younger and prettier half, Ashton Kutcher.
Women are still crazy over him, and I think he was once perceived as a likable fun loving character. But now I think everyone just looks at him and thinks he is pretty much whipped by Demi and has lost totally his mojo. woo pah!

It seems that Ashton doesn’t do much of anything any more, except those stupid camera commercials. Not that he was some great big talent before. He has his Punk’d show and some crappy movies he did. But what does he do now? Or have I missed something major?

Same goes for Demi. What has she done lately? Would anyone take the risk and hire her for one of their movies? That seems very doubtful.

One thing that Demi has been busy doing, is biding her time by tweetin’ on Twitter. She loves to tweet about guess who? Ashton of course. All about their ooey gooey romance. Made me throw up a little.

Yeah ok, we get it Demi, you landed yourself a young one with a pretty face. WE KNOW. Now what?

Eonline wrote:

Demi Moore is on the cover of December’s W wearing a festive holiday getup. The reigning Queen of Twitter talks about (what else?) being a cougar and how great Ashton Kutcher is. Feels like we’ve heard this all before from the actress, but let’s do it anyway.

While everyone considers Demi to be the O.G. cougar, she doesn’t see it that way.

“I’m certainly not the first person to be in a relationship with a younger man, but somehow I was plucked out as a bit of a poster girl,” she says.

“I don’t know why that is. But I just kind of step back sometimes and say, ‘There is some reason, and what is it that I have to share in a positive way?’ I’d prefer to be called a puma.”

(“Puma” is already used to describe women in their 30s who go for younger men, so 47-year-old Demi doesn’t really fall into that category. But she thinks “she came up with the new designation,” so maybe it’s best to let her go on believing that?)

Now about her 31-year-old husband. She loves him. A lot.

“The most overwhelming part of meeting someone that you already felt you had such a deep and old connection with is that your feelings are greater than the time you’ve had to actually be with one another. Now we’ve had the physical time together. The love he has for me makes me a better person by giving me the courage to take risks. I can fail and have someone who loves me just the same. I never knew it was quite possible.”

If she’s not gushing about her hubby on Twitter, she’s gotta gush somewhere. Now let’s wrap this up with a photo of Demi looking like she’s ready to join the next round of Dancing With the Stars. (That’ll happen at some point, right?)

So what about that dress that E is talking about?
Here it is below.

Hey Demi! The ’80’s called they want their dress back!
And what is that thing on her thumb? A grey bandage? Or am I seeing that wrong?

Such an awful pose she struck with that boney chicken wing of an arm sticking out. Why would W magazine and Demi approve of that picture? Were the other pictures to pick from that much worse? Hard to imagine.

Back to the inigma of their relationship.
I wonder if Demi’s cub (Ashton) will still be into making love to a 65 year old saber tooth when he turns a meer 49 years old?

Hey Demi, I hope you’re up for a hoo-ha rejuvenation? Or have you already had one? Well by the time you hit 65, you will be in need of yet another hoo-haw hoist anyways, because gravity is not kind.

Ashton was and still is considered quite the looker. I doubt he will ever have a shortage of women who want to jump his bones. He’s only 31 years old and has his whole life ahead of him. The older he gets… the better the young ones are going to start to look to him. It’s usually the way it goes. Sorry, fact of life. Get over it.

And don’t start with the “if Demi was a man, it would be more accepted” BS.
It goes both ways.

I have a friend who married a MUCH older man. They have a huge age difference. She did NOT marry him for money, he didn’t have any money. She still loves him of course, but the more he ages, the more his personality is changing, and he wants to do less and less. He is pretty content with just sitting around and watching TV when he is not working and of course that is normal for many. She jokes about him being a senior citizen, but I know it’s really starting to bother her. And no my friend is not shallow. I think when they got married, she convinced herself that his age wouldn’t be an issue. But now that he is in his sixties and he is changing his ways, she wishes for the younger man she married. It happens.

But maybe Ashton will feel differently.
Maybe he will stay with Demi, even when her ta-tas go completely south for the second time and she has to keep dying her pubes, so the rug will match the drapes. (ok, now I am grossing myself out)

Hey Demi! I wouldn’t hire any cute young things as maids to hang around the house, if you catch my drift. And I think it would be a little tough to see Ashton smooching it up with a younger gal in a movie. Which has already happened. And as much as Demi acts like she is secure about their relationship, there’s bound to be insecurities. Especially when some of the girls are twenty years younger than her. It’s normal.

And what if Ashton wants to be a baby daddy? What if he wants his own kids? That has to weigh heavy on Demi too, especially that her baby making years are over. I know he considers Demi’s kids as his own, but it’s not the same as having your own child. He may be filled with a lot of regret when he gets a little older for not having one of his own.

Ashton still has PLENTY of time left for that. But Demi? Nope! She is done. I guess they can always hire a surrogate. But again, not the same.

Only time will tell if this puma cougar can hold on to her cub.
Who knows… maybe Demi will leave Ashton for a younger cub!

Not sure how many lives out of nine that Demi the puma cougar has already used.
I am just telling it like it is.

FYI… In the animal kingdom….
Cougars and pumas (and mountain lions) are all one in the same.
But don’t tell Demi that… she will then want to be called a kitten. MEOW!

Verne Troyer, aka Mini Me of Austin Powers movie fame, has just been slapped with a temporary restraining order from model Yvette Monet. We will get to that later.

I don’t know much about Verne Troyer.
With the exception of his performance as Mini Me (which I really enjoyed), and his previous appearance on the Surreal Life reality show… I just didn’t know anything more about him.

His appearance on Surreal Life gave me a tiny (no pun intended) look into Verne’s true personality, which kind of disappointed me. From his drunken naked romp on his scooter and peeing on the floor, to the very strange noises he was making after ”Peter Brady” aka Christopher Knight carried Verne back to Verne’s room and had to put him back in his bed. That scene is forever etched in my brain. Ewww. I also found Verne kind of bratty.

So I did a little digging on Verne, and became even more dissapointed. I was a little shocked to find there had been a sex tape leaked involving Verne and former girlfriend, Ranae Shrider last year. (Verne is suing TMZ for twenty million for showing the tape)

Then there was the love triangle between Verne, Jason “Wee Man” Acuna,(Jackass fame) with Dominique Arganese. I guess some gals love the tiny ones.

Of course there was also Verne’s previous marriage to former Playboy centerfold Genevieve Gallen back in 2004, which lasted all of an entire month. Verne and Genevieve met at a New Years party at Heff’s Playboy mansion in LA.

Genevieve, Verne and Heff

Genevieve had quite a bit to say (way too much) about her crazy month with Verne. She talked about them getting their sexy on ten times a day and some “sessions” lasting for up to 45 mins a pop. (Sting still has him beat) She also said they did role playing, and wore costumes. Thanks SO much for that vision Genevieve.

Ok well fine. Nothing earth shattering there, except for the number of times he was able to perform. Which would put most men to shame, and make most women run and hide.

Just because Verne is only 2′ 8″ tall, didn’t mean he couldn’t get his freak on with Genevieve who is 5″ 6″. But I know what all of you are thinking… how did they do it? And er…. does Verne tuck it in his sock? Right? Don’t lie!

Well thanks to Genevieve, she let everyone know by stating this about Verne’s package (or lack there of) and how their love making was achieved:

“We had to be creative – but because of my yoga experience I could get into the right positions to make it work.”

“But I was surprised when I saw him naked for the first time that night-I had expected him to be better endowed. Verne’s body is proportional all over, so he was smaller than I expected.”

“He was a sex addict. He was then only the second man I’d ever slept with. He told me he’d had huge numbers of girls.”

“I had even researched what condoms to use for a little man,”

“With Verne I started experimenting with my own pleasure in ways I had never done before,” says Genevieve.“

Ok ewww… TMI on the that last quote there.
So I guess Verne is quite the little horn dog.

But wow Genevieve, not to pull a dumb blonde stereotype on you… but you were actually surprised that Verne wasn’t more well endowed? Did you really think you would be getting a Milton Berle? (Uncle Miltie was hung like a horse) Or did you think Verne was built like a chinchilla? FYI….chinchillas have unusually enormous schlongs for such a tiny varmint.
I wonder if Verne calls his winky “Mini Me“? Sorry, I couldn’t resist.

And Genevieve claimed that Verne was only the second man she ever slept with? Apparently, Genevieve thinks everyone has just fallen off the turnip truck.

All that aside… Verne appears to be pretty hot with the ladies and there has been no shortage of blondes for him to frolic with. But Verne does seem to have a huge demon. That demon is alcohol.

Genevieve claims that he used to drink a litre of vodka and a 12-pack of Budweiser in a single day.

Yikes! That’s an awful lot of libation for someone shorter than a yardstick. That amount of liquor would do a number on anyone’s liver among other things, never mind his teeny tiny liver. It doesn’t sound physcially possible for Verne to ingest that much hootch. But I guess anything is possible. I just don’t put too much faith behind what Genevieve has said, even though I have seen evidence of Verne crawling into the bottle and being sloppy drunk on more than one occassion.

There are many vids here and there of Verne feeling no pain. Just take a look on Youtube and the internet. One shows him falling over drunk on the ground near his limo, and another of him ramming his scooter into a door. There are videos of drunken conversations with people and let’s not forget the previously mentioned “peeing episode” on Surreal Life.

Vern’s drinking must not only be reeking havoc with his body, but also with his relationships.

More from Genevieve:

“At the end of the day, I think he was more in love with alcohol than he was with me.”

“Soon after I met him he almost drank himself to death. I heard he was in hospital and when I got there he was lying in bed covered in vomit and diarrhoea,” says Genevieve.

“Then there was a time when I got home and found myself locked out. I tried to wake Verne by banging on the door but he’d drunk so much I couldn’t. The neighbours called the police and I convinced them to break the door open to let me in.

“When I found him, he was face down clutching a pillow. I tried to wake him but it was impossible, so I had to pick him up still clutching the pillow and take him outside to present him to the police officers.

“They were shining the light on his head and Verne was mumbling, ‘What’s going on?” One of the police officers started laughing but the other one told him to stop. It was really embarrassing.”

Yikes, Verne what are you doing to yourself?

And now, with this latest development with former gal pal Yvette Monet, Verne had better get his sh*t together.

Yvette Monet is an ex St. Paul beauty queen and model. Of course.
According to The Hollywood Gossip:

Gorgeous model Yvette Monet has requested and been granted a temporary restraining order granted against her unstable former boyfriend … Verne Troyer.

Monet says she used to date Troyer but that they broke up months ago. She states that she believes he owns a gun and that she currently fears for her life.

Yvette says Troyer constantly texts and emails her despite her many requests for him to stop, and that he has sent threats telling her to “watch herself.”

She says Troyer has told her that his friend Burt has a gun and will do anything he says and that he has a cop friend called Jose who also has guns.
Has Verne Troyer really been making threats against his former girlfriend, Yvette Monet? On an unrelated note, was Verne Troyer really dating Yvette Monet?

She requested that Troyer be asked to stay away from her, her workplace, her home and her vehicle. The restraining order will remain in effect until December 2.

A Minnesota native, Yvette is a former beauty queen hailing from St. Paul. She was a spokes model for Merle Norman Cosmetics and has also modeled for Miller Lite.

She has also appeared on eight different television shows.

The 2′8″ Troyer has appeared in the Austin Powers franchise and also appeared in The Surreal Life. He is perhaps as well known for the Verne Troyer sex tape featuring him giving it to another ex-girlfriend, Renae Shrider, last year.

Verne was also seen around London this past February with former UK Big Brother contestant, Chanelle Hayes according to Hollywood Gossip. But who knows if they were actually dating? Maybe she was she trying to land herself a role in the upcoming Austin Powers sequel? I guess we will have to wait and see if Channelle turns up as Fembot.

Chanelle Hayes

Is it my imagination? Or do all these gold diggers look alike?

Gee Verne. A few words of advice….
I think your “mini me” can use a rest. Lose the blondes for a while, and kick that bottle to the curb.

Concentrate on finding yourself, and find yourself some good rehab. (be sure it’s not Scientology or Narconon which are two in the same)

You need to focus on keeping your career on track, especially with the new Austin Powers sequel coming up. Nip all this mess in the bud before you are known as another “high risk” actor. (hello Lohan and the Hoff)

Hopefully you will meet someone who is right for you, and not some gold digging bimbo. They may look pretty on your arm, but what are their true intentions? Unless of course you just don’t care.

As much as digging into Verne’s personal life has really made me cringe, with his sex-capades and his drunken episodes caught on video, I still am rooting for Verne to turn himself around. I don’t know why.

Maybe it’s because I really enjoyed him as Mini Me, or the fact that he can fit in my suitcase. Or maybe it was that little mention of him being able to go ten times a day.

Does anyone have his number? *SNICKER and EWWWW*

Hey! Now Put That Away Verne!

This has not been the best week for Scientology.

October has proven to be one of Scientology’s worst months in history. Between being found guilty of fraud in France, celebrity Paul Haggis telling them “see yah!,” the ABC Nightline series with Tommy Davis walking out on the interview, the two new books coming out by ex members “Blown For Good” by Marc Headley and “My Billion Year Contract” by Nancy Many, the many new pending lawsuits, their orgs closing left and right, and with many members leaving….. it’s safe to say, it’s not too cool to be a Scientologist right now.

This past Sunday and Monday, the St. Petersburg Times reported on interviews they conducted
with former members of the cult. Today was their last installment in their three part series. It was the story of a former member, Don Jason who actually had to jump off a ship to try to gain his freedom. We will get to Don a bit later.

The interviews included former member’s accounts of being chased, harassed and followed by private investigators. Ex members explained how they were drawn back in to the cult and convinced to stay, against their better judgment. They thought they were doing the right thing by trying to have a clean slate with the cult, but time after time when they returned, it only made matters worse for them and prolonged their exit. Some members just wanted to simply start their lives over and to be left alone, and they succeeded, but soon they found out they were infiltrated by Scientology plants pretending to be their friends.

The cult hired private investigators to hunt down these members that had left. Once the former members were caught up with, they were convinced to come back and “route out” of Scientology. For more on routing out, click here. These former members were also asked to sign a ”pumped up” affidavit, so the cult would be able to cover their butts if these members were to leave and speak out against the cult.

Well that time has come. Former members who spoke out against Scientology to the SP Times are seeing information which was contained within those affidavits they signed once again.

Scientology spokes-creep Tommy Davis, (actress Anne Archer’s son) has pulled the affidavits out and showed them to the SP Times in the cult’s defense against the former member’s claims and stories. The cult also dug into these former member’s confidential files and put a crazy, allegation-laden, Scientology spin on their information to try to discredit them.

Scientology spokes-idiot Tommy Davis also denied the cult ever hired private investigators themselves, but that the PI’s were hired by THEIR Scientology lawyers. Way to throw your scum bag lawyers under the bus Scientology! What a bunch of cowards.

I would imagine the cult’s top lawyers like Kendrick Moxon, Helena Kobrin and Monique E. Yingling may be getting pretty sweaty palms right about now.

Miserable Kendrick Moxon

FYI… years ago, Moxon’s daughter Stacy Meyer, died at Gold Base in Gilman Hot Springs Ca. She joined the Sea Org at age 16 I believe. She died by electrocution INSIDE an underground transformer vault on the property. The details are too lengthy to get in to. The case was looked into, but not enough in my opinion. No words can describe a person like Moxon.

His daughter was cremated and her ashes were released at sea. Which sounds all too familiar to cult founder and con man, L. Ron Hubbard’s death. Moxon’s daughter’s death remains a mystery, just like other Scientology related deaths that never made any sense. Some day, those who know what actually happened will come forward. Sorry to side track from the SP Times, but now that Scientology has literally thrown their lawyers under the bus, it made me wonder how Moxon will handle these claims by Davis. People would love to hear what Moxon has to say. Isn’t Scientology saying more or less that they are not liable for the PI’s activities that THEIR lawyers hired? Interesting spin.

The St. Pete’s Times had lengthy interviews and also video taped former members while they told their stories. Their body language told me that they were telling the truth. These videos are posted on the SP Times website for all to see.

The name Pat Broeker came up in one of the interviews, and although he declined to be interviewed by the SP Times, this is one man that must have Scientology shaking in it’s boots.

Pat Broeker was L. Ron Hubbard’s personal messenger and was said to be next in line to take over Scientology when Hubbard died. Broeker’s nickname was ”007″.

Broeker and his wife Annie were very close to Hubbard. Towards the end of Hubbard’s life, Hubbard was staying in a 40 ft trailer in Creston. Some excerpts from the LA Times story The Final Days by Joel Sappell and Robert W. Welkos written in 1990,

From Chapter four:

“The church said Hubbard went into seclusion to continue his Scientology research and to resurrect his science fiction-writing career. But former aides have said he dropped from sight to avoid subpoenas and government tax agents probing allegations that he was skimming church funds.

“They alleged that Hubbard skimmed millions of dollars from church coffers while he was in hiding”

“His thin gray hair, with streaks of the old red, hung without sheen to his shoulders. He had grown a stringy, unkempt beard and mustache. His round face was now sunken and his ruddy complexion had turned pasty. He was an old man and he was nearing death.”

Not very glamorous for the revered founder of Scientology. But members of course refuse to believe that any of those reports are true. Hubbard eventually suffered a stroke which left him unable to get out of bed and his speech was impaired. I guess his “OT powers” could not help him.

L. Ron “dropped his body” (kicked the bucket in scio speak) on Jan 24th, 1986. The particulars surrounding Hubbard’s death were very mysterious and many thought he may have been murdered. When the Scientology attorney rushed to get Hubbard’s body cremated, the cremation center became suspicious when they found out it was L. Ron Hubbard and insisted on doing blood tests. Vistaril was found in his bloodstream. Vistaril is a pysche drugs, and using such drugs are violently against Scientology’s beliefs. A full autopsy was not performed due to the cult’s claims of it being against their religion. A cover up perhaps?

Odd.. When John Travolta’s son died, he also had a quickie autopsy and the body was cremated
right away. Very eerie.

Hubbard’s ashes were tossed into the sea from a TINY boat and there were only a few people in attendance. Sound familiar? Both David Miscavige and Broeker where in attendance. And although Scientologists do not make a big deal about death because they believe that a person comes back several times after death… I find it puzzling that the founder of Scientology died in such a mysterious manner and had such a tiny insignificant ceremony with hardly anyone in attendance. Makes no sense what so ever. Another account of Hubbard’s last days can be found here.

Of course Scientology told it’s members that Hubbard dropped his body and went “exterior” (went outside his body) to go study the upper levels of Scientology’s Bridge To Total Freedom, and members of course believed this fantasy hook, line and sinker. Miscavige then took over the cult. Although according to another reliable source, Miscavige had already been running everything four years prior to Hubbard’s death.

So Pat Broeker is definitely a man of interest, to say the least. He must know an awful LOT of juicy things that Scientology would love to keep quiet.

Another BIG thing that is kept quiet? Broeker’s wife Annie. She supposedly got put on RPF (punishment) years ago and was “straightened out”. People have not seen or heard from her in years. Nobody is sure where she is.

That also goes for cult leader David Miscavige’s wife. Shelly Miscavige. For someone who is the wife of the leader of the ”fastest spreading religion” in the world. *SNICKER*, Where the hell is she? There are hardly ANY pictures of her anywhere and she never attends any of the big Scientology “Ideal Org” openings or any of the big IAS (International Association of Scientologists) events.

At the very least you would think that cult members would question where she is after all these years of her being MIA. But nope, they just keep their blinders on and keep their eye on the prize. But sadly, there isn’t any prize, only empty bank accounts, ruined lives and sorrow.

If Broeker was to come forward with all that he knew, it would be the icing on the cake. He holds the key to many questions that need to be answered. Another big question… how did David Miscavige actually weasel his way into becoming the cult leader in the first place? Miscavige blackmailing Broeker is a huge possibility. But that was years ago and now Broeker has a lot more leverage. I hope Broeker has some decency left in his heart and comes forward and sings like a canary. It’s time.

Now back to the SP Times….

Former member, Don Jason, who was the former No. 2 Officer in Clearwater, and the focus of part three. He tells his story of how he was finally able to leave the cult. Although he didn’t just up and leave, he had to ESCAPE by jumping off a ship.

Don was locked in a cabin aboard Scientology’s asbestos laden cruise ship the Freewinds. FYI… The Scientology Freewinds is also guilty of polluting the island of Bonaire and have been caught red handed dumping pollutants as we reported previously.

Don claims there were cameras monitoring his every move. And when he was informed that he had to go on Scientology’s RPF, (Rehabilitation Project Force) he said he had had enough.

Don was without his passport. (Scientology takes all Sea Org members passports ) He luckily had his driver’s license and a few blank checks that he kept hidden from the guards on the ship on arrival.

Don had planned his escape over many months, and finally pulled a “MacGyver” and constructed what looked like a rolling pin, so he can make his way down the ship’s cable like a zip line off the side of the ship.

His getaway off the ship was successful, but it was only the start of a fierce chase by the cult. The cult was trying to retrieve Don back, so he can hopefully stay in and also to sign an affidavit, in which the cult would of course put their spin on it, keep it on file and then use it to cover their butts if he ever spoke out.

Luckily, Don did finally get free from the cult and is speaking out today. And of course the cult was right on cue and pulled out that embellished affidavit that Don signed after they found out he spoke to the SP Times. It was rife with Scientology spin and lies. The cult did the same to other former members who were interviewed by the SP Times.

I don’t understand why Scientology thinks that showing these affidavits that people signed under duress have any validity what so ever. People do desperate things in desperate situations, and Scientology ends up looking less and less credible with each affidavit they pull out.

That is not the only sleazy tactic that they have pulled. The cult also dug into member’s private files which holds intimate details on them which were acquired through auditing sessions and “sec checks”. They dig for anything that they can use to spin, and then printed it in their Freedom Magazine. *shakes head*

For a “church” to boast such trumped up numbers like millions of members and thousands of orgs, and parade their celebutards around… they certainlyact like a bunch of two year olds when they hear any criticism about them. Some of these former members were just telling their stories. They were not bringing them to court. But yet Scientology went totally ballistic on them.

But it didn’t stop there….
The cult has gone as far as taking out Google ads against the SP Times. They are trying to sway people into reading their Freedom Magazine “slam book” against former members and the SP Times by providing a link to their magazine in their ads. The cult’s Freedom Magazine makes the National Inquirer look like the Associated Press. I hope people do go ahead and read it, because it is SO worth the laugh.

To top it off, the cult took out MANY visual ads which appeared on the SP Times website. You may have seen some of their ads appear here on Glosslip from time to time. But those particular ads are randomly generated by Google and appear when there is matching subject content. Glosslip has no control over the ads. But the ads that appeared on the SP Times website were purchased by the cult I believe. Correct me if I am wrong.

How ironic is this?
Scientology spending member’s dollars to pay for what they have called a ”suppressive newspaper” to run their silly promos in defense of ex members telling their stories of abuse. Oh! It’s just too delicious for words!

So keep on doing what your doing Scientology….
In the words of Billy Crystal….YOU LOOK MARVELOUS! *insert sarcasm*

Another really delicious aspect of this coverage, and all the other things that have gone down about Scientology lately, is that pesky little problem with their tax exemption status. You see under tax exemption status 501(c)(3), an organization CAN NOT be involved in ANY illegal activities. Oh snap!

Allegedly, Scientology obtained their tax exemption status by intimidating IRS agents with threats of leaking personal information. This information was obtained by PI’s hired by Scientology. The IRS agents finally caved in and granted them their tax exemption status back in 1993. Or was it Scientology LAWYERS who hired the PI’s to dig up stuff on the IRS agents? The cult lawyers better start planning their exit! Wonder what it will feel like for the hunters to be the hunted?

Let’s see now, according to ex members, the cult obtains personal information through hired PI’s, harass and stalk ex members and their families, hold people against their will, they confiscate Sea Org member passports and hold on to them, they rifle through Sea Orger’s mail, pay Sea Org members below minimum wage, have implemented family disconnection policies, have caused mental and physical abuse, they are operating hundreds of front groups, and have acquired properties and vast amounts of real estate under phony names ….shall I go on? Do I need to go on?

Hey Governments of the world! Get your head’s out of your asses and DO SOMETHING!

To read the ENTIRE Scientology Truth Rundown Series from the St. Petersburg Times, Click here.

Many thanks again to the brave former members who have told their stories and are shedding light on the cult, and also many thanks again to Joe Childs and Tom Tobin for helping to do the same.

And again as always… “9000 internetz” and “caek” to the members of Anonymous and their wonderful Why We Protest website which is always a wealth of information and fun to visit.

Be part of the solution…. not part of the problem.
After all ….isn’t that why you joined Scientology in the first place? To help people?
