Queen here, I decided to compile a list of Scientology’s most memorable moments blunders of 2009. This will be my final article…so I thought I would leave with a bang!

I wasn’t able to include EVERYTHING or all the pending court cases, as the list was way too LONG.

Sorry if the time line is not entirely correct by the exact month and the events may not be in exact chronological order and I am sure I left out some things, so feel free to contribute and list whatever I missed in the comments section. Please click on the various links in this article, to read further.

The list below, is definitely tl:dr, but after all, it is an entire year of Scientology fail, and there was plenty of it!

Thankfully, and as always, Scientology has brought on this bad publicity and pending court cases themselves. They will be responsible for their own demise.

Let’s start the 2009 time line with the tragic death of John Travolta’s son, Jett.

This tragedy opened up many doors, that Scientology would have liked to have kept shut.

I think it is important to remind people of this story. I feel there were too many puzzling questions in this story, that didn’t make any sense and remain unanswered.

Jett was Travolta’s 16 year old son who had autism. Many people never knew he existed because Jett was kept out of the limelight. Or shall I say hidden from the limelight.

Jett suffered from epileptic seizures. According to Travolta and wife Kelly Preston, Jett was taken off his anti-seizure medication, claiming it wasn’t working for him and that it was harmful to his liver. Ironically, Jett’s parents put him on the Purification Rundown, which can be very harmful to the liver.

Scientology believes that this treatment can cure many problems. Even though there has never been any medical or scientific proof that Scientology’s Purification Rundown has any benefits what so ever. In fact it has been called pseudo science and quackery. Disturbingly, this treatment is administered by untrained staff with no medical backgrounds.

I am amazed that Scientology is still able to offer this treatment legally. This treatment is also goes under the names Narconon, Criminon and other Scientology front group names.

Travolta and Preston admitted to taking Jett off his anti seizure medication and putting him on Scientology’s Purification Rundown. Jett then began suffering from seizures every 1-4 days.

John and Kelly flew to the Bahamas for a 60 person New Year’s Eve party they had planned. I will never understand why they flew to the Bahamas to have a party, when Jett was suffering from so many seizures so often.

They traveled with two male nannies who did not have medical backgrounds or proper training for a special needs child. Didn’t anyone find this strange? The night of Jett’s death, he was left unattended for over 10 hours. He had a seizure, fell and hit his head and died.

Tabloids began speculating whether this was a case of negligence, and whether or not Jett would still be alive today, if he was put on a different seizure medication and if his parents were not Scientologists.

From the tragic death of their son, emerged a much publicized court case of alleged extortion.

John and Kelly cried “extortion”, and claimed that defendants tried to extort a large sum of many from them in exchange for some alleged damaging documents relating to Jett’s death.

Although the mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of Jett is not what the court case is about, there are still too many unanswered questions concerning the death of Jett.

The following questions should have been investigated. Why did the body of Jett have such a quickie cremation? Why did Travolta and Preston have two male Scientologist nannies who were void of medical or special needs training? One of the nannies was Jeff Kathrein, who was photographed previously kissing Travolta. Strange…

Why was Travolta’s son left unattended for over 10 hours after last being seen entering the bathroom? Why weren’t the two nannies
investigated or interviewed by authorities or questioned by the media? Especially the fact that Jeff Kethrein, was the one that found Jett dead at 10 am the next morning. Where were the two nannies when they were supposed to be watching Jett the night he fell?

Why didn’t Preston and Travolta hire round-the-clock care by highly TRAINED medical professionals for their son? Money certainly wasn’t an issue. Why was Jett put on the very dangerous Scientology Purification Rundown in the first place? AND how was a 16-year autistic child made to endure such long hours in saunas for weeks at a time and ingesting oil and dangerous mega vitamin bombs of niacin?
How was this obviously arduous task achieved? Strange?

Some day, someone will come forward and spill all the beans. I hope this mystery doesn’t get swept under the rug. We may never know the true answers to what, why and how this all happened, due to Travolta’s fame and fortune. Very sad.

The Travolta “extortion” court case continues in the Bahamas in Jan 2010. It will be interesting to see what further shenanigans Scientology lawyers will pull in court and the outcome to this complete and utter MESS. Stock up on popcorn!

Another court case which was previously filed against a Scientology dentist which was settled. Reported in the Chicago Tribune:

“A Chicago dentist has agreed to pay$462,500 to settle federal allegations that he violated U.S. discrimination laws by sexually harassing workers and by forcing employees who wanted to keep their jobs to submit to indoctrination in the tenets of Scientology.”

On to the following months.
FEBRUARY brought the ban of Scientology in the Karaganda region in Kazakhstan.

Then another big court case hit.

This time, it was filed against Scientology.
Former Scientology members Claire and Marc Headley. They filed against Scientology for unfair labor practices. They claimed:

“they were paid less than 50 cents an hour and forced to work more than 100 hours a week. They claim they never received overtime pay or meal breaks and were required to sign documents under duress acknowledging they had forfeited their rights.”

FYI, Scientology’s Sea Organization, is supposed to be the most elite. They are also the most dedicated members of Scientology. Unfortunately, the Sea Org members are also the most abused.

If you asked the general public what the Sea Org is, most people wouldn’t know. But hopefully, more and more people are starting to learn about this abused sect behind Scientology.

The sad stories from former ex members are coming out more and more these days. Many ex members still live in fear, do to Scientology’s family disconnection policies and Scientology’s litigious nature of silencing their critics. Scientology is finally starting to lose this war and they will find it impossible to silence the new onslaught of ex members coming forward with their stories.

In Florida, a mom filed a suit against Scientology, claiming that her son Kyle Brennan died at the hands of Scientology because the father who was a Scientologist denied the son his anti depression medication. The father tried to put his son Kyle into a Narconon drug treatment program. (Narconon is a Scientology front group name and the exact same treatment that Travolta’s son Jett was put through)

Sadly, Kyle ended his life by shooting himself. Yet another tragic Scientology related death. Click for a copy of that case.

Another blow to Scientology in February, was the release of ex Scientology Sea Org member John Duigan’s book, The Complex. A very damaging book that tells the sad story of his escape from Scientology, after being a member for twenty two years.

It was also announced that Marc Headley’s book, Blown For Good, Behind The Iron Curtain Of Scientology was set to hit book stores later in the year.

The veil of secrecy continued to lift, with the story of ex member Jeff Hawkins, who spent more than 40 years in the cult and was interviewed by many media outlets and ABC’s KATU news.

Anti Scientology critics, Mark Bunker and Doug Owens were arrested at Scientology’s Golden Era Productions aka Gold Base for “trespassing” while attending a protest there. They were walking across the driveway of the gate to Gold Base, when Scientology spokesperson Catherine Fraser (who was present) had them arrested by citizen’s arrest. Oh Catherine, Barney Phife would have loved you. *snicker*

The kicker of this arrest is, that both Mark and Doug were not on Scientology’s property. The charges were of course later dropped due to lack of evidence. (what a surprise)

Another prime example of the cult taking up police time and tax payers money with frivolous arrests. Scientology should have been charged for making false arrests and fined.

There was another arrest at Gold Base for another Scientology protester who goes by the name of “Angy Gay Pope”. He was arrested at Gold base for “stomping on the cult’s pansies”. I kid you not.

See the day of the protest, the cult turned sprinklers on the protesters, even though there was a watering ban in effect that day for that area. Of course the cult was never fined for this crime. WHY?

To avoid the sprinkler’s water, “Pope” walked through “their” pansy patch. Catherine Fraser once again called for a citizen’s arrest, and had him taken to the pokey. AGAIN… the cult wasting police time and tax payer’s money. Is anyone paying attention here?

FYI… the pansies were not planted on cult property to begin with, and in a preliminary hearing the cult claimed that the patch of pansies cost them $1,000!!! *snort* This case continues in Jan. 2010. Stay tuned!

February saw Nancy Cartwright caught using Bart Simpson’s voice to “robo call” Scientology members for a Scientology event. Cartwright is of course the voice of Bart Simpson. Her robo message said the event was “going to be a blast man!”

Simpson’s creator, Matt Goering didn’t have much to say about this escapade by Cartwright, nor did he do anything about it. Major pussy IMO. Sorry Matt, you really disappointed me!
All the more reason I will never watch the Simpson’s!

MARCH found Scientologists Gretta Van Susteren and hubby lawyer John P. Coale getting awful cozy with Palin. (this was way before Palin the ”Maverick” went “rogue” *snicker*).

Nathan Baca of KESQ TV, interviewed Scientology cult spokesman Tommy Davis. During the interview, Davis admitted that he knew what Baca was talking about when Baca started to read the story of Xenu and OTIII. (a level in Scientology’s Bridge To Total Freedom)
The cult has always denied OTIII’s existence. As a matter of fact, in an earlier interview on CNN, Davis DENIED knowing about Xenu and OTIII and said it was ridiculous. Here is a back to back video that someone put together on YouTube of the two interviews. (don’t mind the little silly things that were added) You can see for yourself, that Davis indeed lied during the CNN interview. What a great “church”!

Back to Baca’s interview….
Davis became very heated during the interview and claimed he was very insulted by Baca’s questions. It was a classic. And worth the view. Click here and enjoy!

Baca also reported on how Riverside County, Ca. officials got involved with the fight between the group Anonymous and Scientology at Golden Era Productions aka Gold Base. Matters where brought up at the board of supervisor meetings, which eventually lead to Supervisor Jeff Stone (Mr. Arrogance) pushing through Ordinance 884, which was about restricting targeted residential picketing. This ordinance was not needed and of course it was introduced to Stone by Scientology. What a surprise! Click here to watch.

Baca continued being a thorn in Scientology’s side when he interviewed ex Sea Org members. Maureen Bolstad and others told their sad stories of abuse. (Maureen says she still has a twin sister trapped inside Gold Base) Click here to watch Part one. Part Two

In other news, many grotesque pictures and stories started circulating the tabloids of Katie Holmes and how God awful she looked from being on Scientology’s Purification Rundown. She looked pale, skinny and like she aged twenty years. Nice going Tom!

Then came a real sneaky Scientology move by another one of their famous members.

Performer Beck, pulled a fast one on his fans at The Echo club in California. He played a “benefit” for Educating Children International. But fans soon found out that they plunked down $35.00 a pop for a Scientology front group benefit. Fans were NOT happy that they were never told it was Scientology related. Beck received some very deserved bad PR for pulling the wool over his fan’s eyes. Wonder where all that money ended up anyways?

The March merriment continued….

Scientology’s Fort Harrison Hotel aka Flag, gets a “supposed” $40 million dollar face lift and has a grand re-opening to the chagrin of local residents. (although today the Fort Harrison’s assessment has dropped down to an alarming low) Blame it on recession? Hmmm, don’t think so.

The Fort Harrison promised that it was going to be beneficial to the residents of Clearwater and help to bring life and commerce back to that area. Didn’t happen. Their banquet facilities are not available for rent to the public and their restaurants are not open to the public either. And the icing on the cake? There was that not one local resident hired for employment for the Harrison, due to the fact that the entire staff of the Fort Harrison is employed with Scientology’s very own Sea Org slave labor force. Scientology does not pay their slave labor anywhere close to minimum wage. Try $35.00 – $50.00 a week. That’s when and if they get paid.

I guess Scientology is just too darn busy spending money by opening up new “orgs” elsewhere and paying for their advertising campaigns to worry about paying fair wages, having decent food for their employees or medical care for that matter.

And does the cult pay any taxes on the Fort Harrison? Again… is anyone paying attention?

Tell me again the benefit of having the Fort Harrison Hotel and the Super Power building in Clearwater? The Super Power Building *snicker* remains unfinished (sorry cult members who got duped into donating millions for this fail).

The Super Power Buidling is also racking up $250.00 a day in fines for not being finished. And as of last March 2009, the fines owed by the cult to the town were over $245 thousand dollars. Maybe that is where all the Scientology member’s donations will end up going? To pay off fines? Yep! Clearing the planet! *scam alert*

APRIL! Scientologist, Ben Kasle was arrested and charged with two counts of gross sexual misconduct with a 13 year old girl at the “church”. Even though he only received a slap on the wrist for his crime in my opinion, I hope Ben has learned that you should only touch your own body thetans, and not under age gals.

Then another court case arises!

Former Scientology member, Laura DeCrescenzo filed against Scientology. Click for her case.
From Infinite Complacency about the lawsuit:

“DeCrescenzo is seeking her back pay, damages, the formal cancellation of any illegal documents she signed while on staff and an injunction against Scientology to prevent them either bribing or intimidating potential witnesses in her case.”

MAY was a busy month.
France charged Scientology’s six top officials with fraud and illegally practicing as pharmacists. Two out of the four plantiffs who filed cases against Scientology, settled out of court. (grumble).

Former member, Aude-Claire Malton, claimed she was forced by her Scientologist boss to do auditing, and when she refused, she was fired. Nice going!

Of course this is not the first time Scientology has been in trouble in France. A little refresher:

“As in the five previous cases France brought against Scientologists, prosecutors are focusing on charges and evidence of the organization’s manipulating members to wring money out of them — not on any of the spiritual beliefs or practices that may be involved. The first time that happened, in 1978, a Paris court found Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard guilty of vulgar fraud.

In 1997, a Lyon court convicted five Scientology officials of similar charges, which were linked to the suicide of a debt-ridden church member. That verdict came with fines and a suspended prison sentence.”

Then rounding out the end of the month, Wikipedia bans Scientology from editing entries. This was a major win and also a major embarrassment for Scientology. Sorry trolls!

Oh dear….. and it continues…

JUNE ….
a wife sued Narconon (be sure to read the whole story) for treatment of her then fiance. She claimed:

“Daniel Locatelli was subjected to verbal attacks, often of an anti gay substance. He was denied medical care when he needed it and the staff kept him and his belongings against his will when he asked to leave. He finally escaped after 4 days. Among the claims against the facilities and their employees and agents are breach of contract, fraud in the inducement, negligent misrepresentation and fraudulent misrepresentation.”

The two facilities involved were Narconon Southern California and Narconon Joshua Hills.

Zingo! Scientology!

Actor David Carradine was was found dead in a Bangkok Hotel room. Cause of death was erotic asphyxiation. *kinky* His family members, Sienna, Calista, and wife Anne are all avid Scientologists.

Although Carradine was supposedly not a “practicing” Scientologist, he performed in many Scientology functions, including riding the float in their shameless participation of the Christmas parade in Hollywood, as well as reading Christmas stories in the Scientology Celebrity Center Christmas Celebrations.

Then came two shining knights.
Those two knights are Joe Childs and Thomas Tobin. Authors at the St. Petersburg Times.

Joe and Thomas wrote a scathing series called the Truth Rundown for The St. Petersburg Times.

They interviewed ex Scientology top officials, Marty Rathbun, Mike Rinder, Amy Scobee, and Tom DeVocht. These former Sea Org members spoke of a sadistic game of musical chairs, physical and mental abuse and beatings of other members that they witnessed at the hands of current cult lead David Miscavige.

This series was very lengthy and too long to list here, so please be sure to click on the “Truth Rundown” link above and read the coverage in it’s entirety. There is also recorded interviews of ex-members on video on the “SP Times” website.

Also in June, on the Why We Potest website, a list was started by Anonymous. It is a list of ex-Scientologists who have left the cult and have spoken out. You can find this list on the Why We Protest Wiki. The list has reached over 875 names and continues to climb weekly. Kudos to Anonymous!

Then on a sad note, another tragic Scientology death.

Scientologist, Steve Brackett, committed suicide. Brackett was a HUGE donor for the still not open and incomplete Super Power Building in ClearwaterFl. He ended his life by leaping to his death from the Bixby Bridge in Ca.

Brackett was a higher level “OT” on Scientology’s Bridge To Total Freedom. (more proof it does not exist) He was also once engaged to Scientology fanatic Nancy Cartwright. Rumor has it that Nancy did not attend his ceremony. Nice going Cartwright!

Nancy Cartwright herself has donated over 10 million dollars to Scientology and continues to dole out the cash. That’s 10 million her two children will never see. SAD.

SURPRISE! John Travolta FINALLY admits that his son Jett DID have autism, after a Bahama police report was leaked in the National Enquirer. Although the Enquirer is known to be a “rag”, this time the story they leaked was right on the money. John could not hide the truth any longer. Question is…. why did he hide the truth in the first place? Because of Scientology? You betcha!

Yep, June was a FINE month indeed! But not for Scientology. *guffaw*

JULY was pretty quiet…But a second report came out that Scientology’s asbestos laden cruise ship the Freewinds, was STILL polluting the waters and land on the island of Bonaire by continuing to dump dangerous waste water from their ship.

Sean Paton, a Bonaire resident is desperately trying to save Bonaire. Kudos to Sean!

Sean posted two videos on YouTube in the past, which showed the Freewinds actually dumping waste water, and then a second video, showing the testing of that waste water. The
video showed how dangerous the waste water was that the Freewinds was dumping. These videos have since been removed from YouTube.

I found out why. UPDATED: In a RECENT video dated Dec. 14th 2009, Sean Patton, it shows waste water being dumped in the middle of the night. Sean Paton also explains why the videos were removed from YouTube. Sean said:

“We have taken videos off the Internet, so that locals can secure their economy and that there is no threat to local Government, and have done everything we could to try to keep this in a peaceful mode.”

Boniare continues to let the Freewinds dump their waste water. A talk of a water treatment plant has started, but the longer the months tick on, the more dangerously polluted Bonaire becomes. In all fairness, the Freewinds is not solely to blame for all of Bonaire’s pollution. But the Freewinds is still a big contributor to the pollution and the Bonaire government continues to allow them to dump. Whether they allow it or not, The Freewinds should STOP.

Around this time in July, we also heard rumors of Travolta leaving Scientology. But of course we all know that never happened, and Scientology obviously has since ”handled” him. I guess Travolta fears his personal life will be made public from his Scientology PC folders. I now call him a big coward and I have lost any respect I had for him. Sorry John!

Also in July, it was announced that Kelly Preston and Travolta were to attend Maria Shriver’s Women’s Conference and be interviewed for the first time after their son’s death. (we all know what happened to that interview)

But then came AUGUST.
Another block buster month.

Scientology had a big response to all the ex members who went public with their stories in the St. Petersburg Times articles. Scientology called them liars, and of course cried character assassination. *snicker*

The cult in all their stupidity, like a bunch oh high school kids, put out a 40 page expose in their “Freedom Magazine” which they mailed to their members. Sorry, I won’t provide a link to their Freedom Magazine website. Reason? You should use a proxy to protect your IP.

In their magazine, Scientology called Tobin and Childs (St. Petersburg Times authors) “Merchants of Chaos” and gave “comic book villain” type names to the ex members who spoke out. They also filled their magazine steep with lies by twisting the information which was contained in the ex member’s ”PC folders”.

FYI, “PC Folders” are folders filled with member’s personal information which is acquired from them when they are audited on an “e-meter“. (Scientology calls this spiritual counseling, but it’s just a lie detector) So ethical isn’t it?

Hey Scientology members, your “PC files” are not safe from prying eyes and they never will be!

Then more ex cult members came forward, and there were other interviews in the St. Petersburg Time. Including Jackie Wolf, Mark Fisher, Bruce Hines, Jeff Hawkins, Marc Headley, Shelly Corrias, Steve Hall, and Gary Morehead and more.

The sadness continued with cult member Gloria Lopez, who sadly committed suicide in France. Before her death she wrote:

“she owed money to the organization for courses, was struggling to advance up the path to spiritual enlightenment, really wanted to succeed as a Scientologist, and regretted every mistake in her life.”

Lopez’s family estimated that she spent over $400,000 in Scientology courses, auditing and materials.

Lopez deep in debt to Scientology, could not find any other way out in her mind and felt like a complete failure. She stood smiling on the train tracks of an oncoming train. The train could not stop in time. Her life was ended. Her family, (not Scientologists) decided to file a suit against Scientology. Lopez’s son Gwen stated:

“If, by bringing a case, we can open people’s eyes, it will have been worth it.”

Ex member, Martine Boublil also filed a suit against Scientology. Her story was both sad and outrageous.

“A 48-year-old Frenchwoman, is said to have been found being held, half naked, on a vermin-infested mattress in a house in Sardinia. She filed a complaint saying that her brother – an ex-doctor and prominent Scientologist– had kidnapped her, trying to treat her psychological problems himself. The Church of Scientology and Boublil’s brother, Claude, denies she was kidnapped and described the case as a “tragic family affair” that the media had sought to exploit.”

A family affair? Exploitation? Oh come on Scientology, you can do better than that.

August also brought about the firing of head mistress, Jacqueline Olivier, of Will and Jada (we are not Scientologists) Smith’s New Village Academy in Calabasas, Ca.

The Smith’s denied that their school had anything to do with Scientology, even though you can go to the website and plainly read for yourself that their school teaches the “tech” written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard if you look hard enough.

The Smith’s employed some Scientologists as teachers. Apparently, after a while, Foster was not totally “on board” with teaching the L. Ron Hubbard Tech to the children, and the Smith’s decided to fire her and hire another SCIENTOLOGIST who was on board with teaching the mind control tech. Wonder how long this school will stay open?

The St. Petersburg Times reports a fabulous ”Strength in Numbers” story. Horrifying stories from more ex members who came forward to speak out. Another big win by the two white knights, Thomas Tobin and Joe Childs. Kudos again boys!

SEPTEMBER…
Will and Jada Smith finally admitted that their school does in fact teach L. Ron Hubbard “tech”. Told you so.

According to sources, this years new season at the Smith’s New Village school appeared to have dwindling numbers. Many parents pulled their kids out when they found out what was being taught there. Scientology parents of course left their kids continue to be further brainwashed. SAD.

On to OCTOBER….
A scary month. Especially for Scientology!
Another brave knight appears. Martin Bashir.

On Oct 22nd and 23rd, ABC Nightline’s, Martin Bashir interviewed Scientology spokesman Tommy Davis.

Martin Bashir

Davis ended up walking off the set in the middle of the interview after having a hissy fit. Once again he claims he was insulted by the questioning. Most “churches” will tell you anything you want to know, and be more than willing to talk about it. Nope not Scientology. Not without paying for it.

Click here for Part One and Part Two. It’s a must see, if you haven’t seen it.

Onward….
All charges that Scientology filed against protester “Anon Orange” for “trespassing” at Golden Era Productions, aka Gold Base last Oct 2008, were dropped.

Anon Orange continues to counter sue with a Civil case against the cult for a myriad of charges stemming from his brutal arrest in 2008, which includes assault and battery, wrongful arrest, excessive force, emotional distress, several Ca. code violations and the list goes on. A jury trial was requested. Click here to watch the brutal attack of Anon Orange by Scientology guards at Gold Base in 2008. During this video, you can hear the Gold Base LOUD “organ tone” in the video,
which Scientology used whenever protesters showed up. Talk about super creepy!

The guards used excessive force against anon Orange and pushed his face in the dirt. Keep in mind the guards did not use legal procedures and are not allowed to legally attack or hand cuff someone in this manner, yet they were never charged with anything. WHY?
It will be interesting to see the outcome of this case.

And so on……
Scientology was convicted of fraud in France! Viva la France!
They were convicted of fraud and dispensing vitamins without a license. To read a rundown of the ruling, click here.

Then a major Scientology celebrity leaves the cult.
Crash director. Paul Haggis left Scientology in a public letter written to “foot bullet boy” and Scientology spokesman, Tommy Davis. It was posted on former cult member, Marty Rathbun’s website. Marty is still practicing Scientology as an independent. There are several different groups with various names that do this. One is called the Freezone. These are people who left the ”church”, but still practice Scientology, but are free from the “church”.

Then another important person leaves Scientology. He was an OTVIII (level 8 on the Scientology’s Bridge to Total Freedom) public Scientologist, Geir Isene. He also left very publicly and has spoken out on Rathbun’s site.

Just so you understand….. there are different types of Scientologists. There are staff members, Sea Org members, and public members. Publics are much more free than the staff and Sea Org members. They are not subjected to the same abuses. Although they can be harassed and hounded to donate more money and mortgage their homes. Scientology lingo for this is called being “regged”. Whether it is to take more courses, buy more tapes and books, or do more auditing sessions. Scientology squeezes their members hard, especially at IAS (International Association of Scientologists) events.

Speaking of books….
Two new books were published in October. Ex Sea Org member Marc Headley’s Blown For Good: Behind The Iron Curtain Of Scientology (mentioned earlier) finally came out, and former Sea Orger, Nancy Many wrote My Billion Year Contract.
They did several interviews too. Both of their wonderful books are available at Amazon.

Travolta and Preston canceled their appearance on the Maria Shriver Women’s Conference and said they were just not ready to talk. Although Travolta and daughter jumped right into filming Old Dogs shortly after the Bahama court case was pushed to January 2010.

My my….What can possibly be next?
NOVEMBER!

The St. Petersburg Timesdelivered with an early Christmas present with their coverage called “Chased by Their Church“. We also covered that story.

A small snippet from that article:

“For years, the Church of Scientology chased down and brought back staff members who tried to leave.
Ex-staffers describe being pursued by their church and detained, cut off from family and friends and subjected to months of interrogation, humiliation and manual labor.”

The story of ex Sea Orger, Don Jason also hit the St. Petersburg Times. His story of having to jump off a Scientology ship to escape, was yet another scathing tale that Scientology wasn’t to keen about.

As always, Scientology keeps insisting that ALL of these ex member’s stories are all lies. Which by now is sounding beyond ridiculous. How many times does Scientology really think they can continue to claim that all these ex member’s stories are bunk? It is making them look less and less credible. Well, they were never credible from the start.

Sweet November continues…..
Yes November brought us Senator Xenophon. A Senator from South Australia. His name is beyond ironic. I thought it was a joke when I first heard it.

If you know the story of Xenu, which was written by L. Ron Hubbard, then you know how much of a “coinky dink? Xenophon’s name is. If you don’t know the story of OTIII, go read it! It’s the story of Xenu and level OTIII on Scientology’s “Bridge To Total Freedom”.

Senator Xenophon requested a senate inquiry into Scientology in Parliament after receiving heart wrenching letters of abuse from ex Scientology Sea Org members. Watch his brilliance in Two parts. Part One and Part Two.

Senator Xenophon

Of course again Scientology continued to deny that these stories were true. This is getting old Scientology!

A shining star evolved from the Senator’s inquiry. An ex Sea Org member by the name of Aaron Saxton. More on Aaron later.

David Miscavige gets sued! The suit has been brought on behalf of ex Scientolgy member John Lindstein.

The complaint covers:

“ that David Miscavige controls the entire Scientology enterprise and is the chief perpetrator of the torts and violations of law including the crime of human trafficking.”

DECEMBER…Golden Era Productions aka Gold Base mentioned earlier. This is the place out in the middle of the desert in Hemet, Ca. where many of the ex member’s stories took place.

Scientology was caught illegally grading it’s property without a permit. They were grading the property DAYS before they applied for a permit. They were also not using the required water trucks to keep the dust down to a minimum. Once they were caught, they applied for a permit and they received said permit the SAME DAY they applied. Wow!

The Fire Department was never contacted, nor the was there a conservation inquiry, which is California law.

You may think, well…not a big deal. Well, yes it is. Not only does it show huge favoritism of the cult by Riverside County officials, but several species of animals (one being an endangered species) whose habitats and more importantly their food supply will most likely be tragically effected by this grading. There are many YouTube videos of this meeting. Here is one that pertains to the animals.

Oddly enough, Scientology was not fined or bothered any further about the illegal grading that took place. Why is that? The name Jeff Stone comes to mind.

I have watched several Riverside County board meetings on YouTube. Stone’s arrogance is appalling. He doesn’t seem to care about his past or present behavior. He has also been caught on tape being totally untruthful and extremely unprofessional. But Karma should be taking care of that in due time. Right Jeff?

Scientology receives an early Christmas present!

The lawsuit filed by John Lindstein, gets ammended to a class action lawsuit. The Metzger Group decides to join Barry Van Sickle and co-counsel the Headleys and Lindstein’s cases. From the Metzger Group website:

“It is the only firm in California whose practice is devoted exclusively to the litigation of toxic injuries other than asbestos-related diseases.”

Although, the Metzger group usually deals with toxic injuries, it has decided to join the case concerning human trafficking.

Although how ironic is it that the Metzger group usually deals with toxic issues and asbestos. After all, the Scientology Freewinds was and allegedly is still asbestos laden. Perhaps the Metzger group can kill two birds with one stone and rally former ex members to file a class action lawsuit against Scientology for asbestos exposure. After all, Scientology knew about the asbestos contamination aboard the Freewinds YEARS and YEARS earlier, but chose to do NOTHING about it. Scientology allowed staff and passengers to continue to sail, until the Curacao government shut them down. Tsk Tsk! (Our very own Dawn Olsen saw the Freewinds with her own eyes parked at a dock in Aruba during Thanksgiving – so that deathship is still toxifying the air in the Caribbean.)

Back to ex Scientology Sea Org member Aaron Saxton.

Aaron recently stood in solidarity with Anonymous members, and other protesters in Australia in front of the Sydney Scientology org. He was armed with a microphone and he tried to talk some sense into the members still inside and was addressing them by name. Hopefully they were able to hear him. Click here and watch. More ex members are joining Anonymous and attending protests world wide.

Scientology recently made a ”Crusade” video which was leaked, and is now circulating on YouTube. Several sites have carried the story about this video calling it creepy.

The video features several Scientologists, some actors? (not A-listers) including cultist Nancy Cartwright who was looking pretty darn awful, asking Scientology members to donate more money so Scientology can build more ”Ideal orgs”. They want to rasie money so they can have all their “orgs” (their name for “churches”) bought, built or refurbished by the end of 2010. In the video, Cartwright says and I quote:

“I have a chalkboard in my kitchen….it says donate MORE”

I threw up a little watching this video. Be sure to watch their “Crusade” video, which can be found on YouTube. (if it’s still up) It is beyond creepy. Other parody videos have also sprung up.

Speaking of new orgs…..
Sadly, a couple of new Scientology “orgs” did open. One was in Washington DC. They bussed members in, and members also flew in from all over to make the org look like is was bustling and successful for it’s “grand opening”. Scientology blatantly lied in press releases about the number of people that were in attendance as usual. They do this all the time. They must constantly lie to make it look like they are expanding and still successful. In a press release, Scientology had the audacity to say that 4,000 people where in attendance. In actuality, there were only about 400 people MAX that attended. And yes there is video proof of this on YouTube.

This DC grand opening was hidden by 12 ft walls of curtains, so onlookers could not see inside. They also closed off public streets on a busy Halloween day. This had locals who were not notified of the street closings hopping mad.

Once again, Scientology making more friends enemies.

All orgs that are bought and refurbished, are paid for by Scientlogy member ”donations”. They are constantly scammed into giving m
more and more money. They are continually told they are helping to “clear the planet”.

I have yet to see any evidence of how Scientology is actually helping mankind. Anyone?

Scientology members should go visit the many orgs that were NEVER opened or refurbished, or ones that have since closed. Some of these orgs have been vacant for years are and are falling apart. Some have been vacant for over 9 plus years! And even though some struggle to remain open, they are pretty darn empty. IT’S A SCAM PEOPLE!

Another Tragic story emerged from the Telegraph UK paper.
Scientologist Mother Drowns Daughter Than Herself. A snippet from that story:

Judith Richmond, 41, who was suffering from bi-polar disorder, also known as manic depression, had become obsessed with scientology, and a belief that metal was poisoning her daughter Millie and the whole planet.

I would also like to mention that there were several protesters in the group Anonymous who were assaulted by Scientologists and also assaulted by hired security by Scientology in 2009. Two protesters in DC, one in Tennessee, and most recently one in Canada. Court cases that were filed against Scientology are currently pending.

Isn’t it interesting that all anti Scientology protests in the last almost two years now, have been completely peaceful. With the exception of Scientologists harassing, falsely arresting and assaulting the protesters.

There has NOT been one case of a protester assaulting a Scientologist, even though Scientology calls Annonymous a “Hate Group“.

So who is is the REAL hate group here Scientology?

More and more people and ex-members are starting to understand (FINALLY), that Scientology is the pot calling the kettle black.
Scientology is constantly crying wolf and claims religious bigotry as their defense. It’s pretty tough to cry religious bigotry when you are a money making scam business that lives above the law and continually commits crimes and abuses.

According to founder L. Ron Hubbard, and I quote,

”Scientologists are some of the most ethical people on the planet”

I think their behavior, litigious nature, and their bullying which comes from orders from cult leader David Miscavige, speaks for itself.

And one more zinger for 2009….
Tom Cruise gets sued for Five million dollars for wire tapping Michael Sapir. Oh snap! Yes it is case No. BC251644Tom Cruise allegedly wire tapped Michael Sapir’s phone. Several sites picked up this story.

Who knows what 2010 will bring for Scientology? Their downward spiral continues on a daily basis. Can they can survive the continuing deluge of bad publicity, pending court cases, NEW court cases, ex members writing books, closing orgs, ex members doing interviews, and members leaving weekly?

I hope 2010 is Scientology’s last year. The government needs to step it up and investigate all of Scientology’s front groups as well. Scientology has abused people for the last 50 + years. That abuse continues today. They have ruined many people’s lives and many members have died way too soon.

The time to stop this abuse should have been decades ago. I hold not only our Government responsible, but also all the celebrities and members who continue to blindly endorse this insidious cult. Do not support these celebrities.

Over 50 plus years have passed since Scientology’s start. Still there isn’t any proof of one “clear” or “OT” on this entire planet.
HOW ABOUT SHOWING THE WORLD THE PROOF SCIENTOLOGY?

Don’t you think if there were actual ”clears” and “OTs”, that this world would be an entirely different place? Think about it Scientology members!

So to Scientologists….
Don’t be part of the problem, be part of the solution. Reconnect with your family and let your New Year’s resolution be to leave Scientology so you can live your life as you want and be free of the financial burden that Scientology causes you.Your money should be going to your family, not “salvation” David Miscavige’s pockets.
You don’t have to pay the rest of your life away trying to “clear the planet”.

You can still practice Scientology if you truly believe that it really works for you, that is your right, but please look at both sides and research what the “tech” can really do to your thinking.

Remember, nobody can tell you who you can or can not talk to, or what you are allowed to read.

My New Year’s resolution…..
I will continue to fight for what’s right and try to help those who are still trapped inside.

If you need help leaving Scientology, if you have doubts or just need some questions answered and someone to talk to….call 1-866-XSEAORG. This is a toll free call.

I wish everyone a Very Happy and Cult Free New Year!

This past Friday evening, ABC’s Nightline aired part two of their Inside Scientologyseries with anchor Martin Bashir. If you missed it, the videos are posted on ABC’s website. It is a MUST see.
Part One is here, and Part Two is here.

Friday’s show was a continuation from Thursday night’s interview with ex-Scientology top executives Marty Rathbun, and Amy Scobee, as well as ex member Bruce Hines. They were all former members of Scientology’s Sea Organization.

Bashir also continued his interview with Scientology spokesman Tommy Davis who ended ripping off his microphone, and storming off the set. We will get to that juicy part later.

ABC Anchor Martin Bashir

Friday evening’s coverage focused on the celebrities in Scientology. Tom Cruise was the main focus. Tommy Davis claimed that Scientology does not given special treatment to celebrities, but I beg to differ. Cruise considers cult leader David Miscavige one of his closest friends and Miscavige not only attended Cruise’s wedding, but he also tagged along on Tom and Katie’s honeymoon. Doesn’t everyone bring their “church” leader on their honeymoon with them?

Cruise is not only BFF’s with David Miscavige, but he was also a huge advocate for Scientology. I say “was” because Cruise has really simmered down since his couch jumping days. His leaked Scientology video, his insults against Brooke Shields for taking medication for her postpartum depression, and his famous “glib” interview with Matt Lauer has put a serious damper on his career and his popularity.

Matt You Are So Glib!

If you ask just about anyone on the street these days of their opinion of Tom Cruise, most will say he is a kook.

Cruise is trying to re-boost his career, by not speaking publicly about Scientology and trying to show the world how “normal” his life is with his family. But are people buying it? I doubt it. Cruise is DEEP into Scientology. He co-founded the NY Rescue Workers and Firefighters Detoxification Program after 911. Again, this program is EXACTLY the same as Scientology’s Purification Rundown and their Narconon program.

Cruise also lobbied in Washington with a quest to have every school in the US teaching Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard’s “tech.” Applied Scholastics is the front name used in the schools, but it is without a doubt Scientology. Applied Scholastics has already infiltrated some of the schools in the US. I am not talking about Scientology schools like Delphi Academy and Will Smith’s New Village Academy, but rather regular public schools in our towns that are teaching children Scientology tech.

In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, they started teaching Scientology tech in Prescott Middle School in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Applied Scholastics representatives assured them that the program was secular. A couple of quotes from that story posted on the Scientology V. Education website:

The Baton Rouge school district agreed to pay $20, 000 a year to Applied Scholastics for a licensing fee and to hire a teacher from the nonprofit to help teach the course. Costs were offset by seed money that Travolta contributed and by donations from local businesses. Parents were enlisted to volunteer as tutors.

Dave Touretsky, a research professor at Carnegie Mellon University, that’s only because the academic experts don’t know the intricacies of Scientology.Study tech is “covert religious instruction” and therefore unconstitutional to teach in public schools, said Touretsky, who has studied Scientology and written extensively about Hubbard’s study skills curriculum.

Scientologists will use the program at Prescott to sell the program to other struggling communities, Touretsky said, and to promote the image of Scientology.

Rest assured, the teachers and the people in that town have NO idea what they are teaching these kids, nor understand how dangerous the tech can be for their children. Former Scientology member Monica Pignotti can tell you just exactly how dangerous the study tech is. Click here to read up on it yourself. I am not sure if Prescott Middle School has continued teaching this tech or not. I hope town officials and teachers have done their homework by now.

So a word of caution people, if your child’s school is approached with Applied Scholastics or any anti-drug pamphlets that contain the initials “CCHR” written anywhere on the pamphlet, please stay clear! The CCHR is another Scientology front group. Also stay away from the names Way To Happiness, or The Drug Free Marshals, just to name a few.

Scientology Can Use Some Body Language Courses!

These names are are ALL Scientology front groups. Sorry to sway away from ABC’s interview, but any chance I have to make people aware that Scientology is trying to infiltrate our children’s schools, I feel compelled to make mention of it.

So back to the interview…

Former Scientology Sea Org member, Amy Scobee who was one of Scientology’s top execs and also one of the people who spoke out in the St. Petersburg Times articles, spoke with Bashir about the Purification Rundown.

Amy Scobee, Blonde On Bottom Right Hand Corner

She tells Bashir a horrifying story about when she was MADE to go on the Purification Rundown as part of a punishment within the Sea Org. Amy explains how daily she was ingesting 5,000 milligrams of niacin, exercising (usually a treadmill), and sitting in a sauna for five hours, for EIGHT MONTHS. She said she had“grey stuff ” coming out of her pores. I would imagine she was also ingesting oil, as this is another part of the Purification Rundown. As horrible as it was for Amy to be on this whacko science regimen, (which does not have any scientific data to back up its claims of actually detoxing the body at all) it was one of the things that woke Amy up and forced her decision to leave Scientology. And we are sure glad she is out. Bravo Amy!

Of course Scientology denies Amy’s story and says that the Purification Rundown is used for “religious reasons” by members. Hmmm.
Scientology is pretty crafty. They use different names for the Purification Rundown, like the NY Firefighters Detox Program, Narconon, and Criminon, and offer this program to the public and ask towns for funding using the town’s tax payer’s dollars. Exactly what they do with Applied Scholastics, and The Drug Free Marshals etc…

They say that the program is secular and has NOTHING to do with Scientology. But yet when Scientology is pushed up against the wall, (as they were with Amy’s claims) they claim that the Purification Rundown is for “religious reasons.”

So how can they possibly claim that their front group programs are secular and have nothing to do with Scientology, when they are IDENTICAL to the same programs they are calling ”religious”?
Confusing? That is their intention.

Back to Rathbun…
Marty Rathbun continued his interview with Bashir and said that he himself has “audited” both Tom Cruise and John Travolta. Boy… I would love to know what is in their files! Of course everything contained within a Scientology member’s file is supposed to be confidential. That is…confidential until you cross Scientology. After the St. Petersburg Times articles came out with ex member’s stories, Scientology published personal information on Amy Scobee, Tom DeVocht, Mike Rinder and Marty Rathbun in a 80 page issue of their Freedom Magazine.

Scientology even gave the “defectors” nicknames like the King Pin, The Adulteress, and so on. It was not only the MOST childish thing that I have ever read by an organization, it was rife with lies about the ex-members and Scientology’s spin. Proving once again that Scientology’s Fair Game policy is alive and well.

Although it was not brought up in the interview, Rathbun is known as an independent Scientologist. And there are also Freezoners. Freezoners are members who have left the organized “church,” but still want to practice Scientology. There are groups of Freezoners here and there world wide. Scientology now considers these people who have previously dedicated years of their lives and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on trying to climb up the Scientology’s Bridge their evil enemies. They are considered as SP’s, or suppressive persons.

Freezoners left the church as they felt that L. Ron Hubbard’s Tech was being “squirreled” by cult leader David Miscavige. To ”squirrel the tech” means to change the writings of L. Ron Hubbard in any way. Miscavige has changed the tech many times. He has changed it, repackaged it, and told the members that the old books were now incorrect, and that they had to buy the “newer” version. This was done to keep more money coming into Scientology. Sadly, members actually fell for it.

Changing any of L. Ron Hubbard’s tech is considered a big no-no in Scientology and many current members consider David Miscavige to be a suppressive person. Why they continue to stay in the “church” is a mystery. But slowly, that seems to be changing.

People who are Freezoners, also did not agree with the way the “church” was being run and could no longer stand all the abuses and illegal activities that were going on, so they decided to leave the “church” and set up business elsewhere, and yes it is in fact a business. People who want to practice Scientology outside the cult still have to pay for auditing and courses to whomever is offering them. What they charge is nowhere near the hundreds of thousands of dollars that organized Scientology charges. Which is where Rathbun comes in. He was one of Scientology’s top auditors before he left, and he continues to audit people today.

If today’s organized Scientology continues to crumble, Rathbun can end up with more “disciples” to audit. Perhaps he is hopeful for Travolta and Cruise to leave the cult and audit with him once again. Not likely though, especially not for Cruise. Cruise considers Rathbun an enemy of the cult and and a huge SP. Cruise does not appreciate what Rathbun is saying about David Miscavige and the abuses of the cult.

Tom Cruise’s lawyer sent a statement to ABC Nightline and stated that even though Cruise is aware of the things being said about David Miscavige, Cruise does not believe it.

BFF’s For Ever!

Really Tom? Miscavige is ruining your career in case you didn’t notice. How many people is it going to take for you to wake up and understand that David Miscavige is an abusive tyrant who only wanted you for PR purposes to promote the cult and oh yeah…take your money?

And as Bashir pointed out to Davis in the interview…these stories of abuse from ex-members were from randomized people. And of course Davis quipped back to Bashir with “Well that’s how it is made to look.” Sure it is Tommy.

Rathbun was in Scientology for 27 years, and his brain is totally immersed in the tech. He still believes that con man L. Ron Hubbard is the best thing since sliced bread and that his writings are still WORD.

Giddy Up L. Ron!

Rathbun never completely left Scientology, and he probably never will. But we are awful glad he came forward to speak out, as well as the others. Many more are likely to follow.

After 27 years, and being one of Miscavige’s top lieutenants,
Rathbun is still programmed to live, eat and breathe Scientology. Rathbun also thinks David Miscavige should be made “to pay the piper” for all the people he has abused. Of course Rathbun himself admitted to being an abuser, but he never mentioned that he should pay the piper as well. Hmmm.

Freezoners who continue to practice Scientology, still mean they are being brainwashed, no matter how you cut it. It’s the way the courses, the auditing and the drills were set up by Hubbard, at least there isn’t a Sea Org and David Miscavige is out of the picture. But hey, people can believe in what they want, as long as it doesn’t hurt and abuse others and as long as it doesn’t end up being another
abusive cult off-shoot.

So getting back to Scientology spokesman Mr.Tommy Davis.
As I mentioned in the last article on this series, Tommy Davis’ body language was VERY telling. Again, I noticed he sat with tightly clenched hands, laughed nervously, and at one point was sitting with his arms and legs totally crossed. He looked like he was wrapped so tight, that you couldn’t pull a pin out if his butt with a tractor.
Bashir proceeds to ask Tommy about the e-meter and HIS own personal beliefs. Tommy was not very convincing when it came to the e-meter. The conversation went as follows:

Bashir: Has the e-meter ever been subjected to randomized clinical trials to assess it’s efficacy?

Davis: I have no idea. I don’t know why it would be. It works in Scientology and that’s what people use it. I don’t know why it would be subjected to random clinical trials.

Bashir: Because it’s a… mechanism for therapeutic care you just said…

Davis: In a religion.

Bashir: But has it ever been tested objectively is what I’m asking?

Davis: I mean it gets used every day by Scientology counselors.

Bashir: I’m not asking that. I’m asking…

Davis: To my knowledge, no. … And as far as evidence of the e-meter and its efficacy, the evidence of that is in those Scientologists who have used it to great benefit. And as far as the Church of Scientology is concerned, it’s the only evidence that matters, is the people and the results.

“In a religion?” Then why is the e-meter used for Scientology “Stress Tests” on the general public?

Typical Stress Test Set Up On Sidewalk

I wish Bashir asked Davis that question and I also wish there was an e-meter present at Bashir’s interview. Of course Tommy would never agree to be put “on the cans.”I also doubt that Scientology would ever agree to have an e-meter present at ANY interview.

It’s hard to believe that the e-meter has never been tested objectively or questioned. It obviously instills fear in so many of its members because of it being an actual lie detector. It also enslaves members. And although I am sure Scientologists sign all sorts of waivers, using an e-meter on cult members seems not only highly questionable, but illegal. Attention Government!

The e-meter is supposedly considered a ”religious artifact” by Scientology. FYI, they tell their members to buy TWO e-meters. (one for back up of course) E-meters cost THOUSANDS of dollars. Boy, talk about a scam.

Keep in mind, as I mentioned before, these e-meters are present on all of the Scientology “Stress Test” tables that you may see set up outside one of their “orgs.” Sadly, you can see them at flea markets, street fairs, or just set up on a sidewalk in a town. They even set up outside Walmart! You won’t see the word Scientology anywhere on their tables though. I thought I read by law, that each e-meter used by the public is supposed to carry a label on the back of it in which it states that it is used for “entertainment purposes only”. That’s funny, I thought Davis claimed it was used for “religious” purposes? Confused? Again…. Scientology’s intention.

Scientology claims that they can cure what ails you with auditing, and this has been recorded by some who have taken the Stress Test. Deception personified. Anything to get “fresh meat” into their doors.

After people take a stress test, they try to get the person to buy a Dianetics book and maybe visit their local Scientology “org” to take a “personality test.” They will also ask for your personal information at that point. After the test, they will look over your results and tell you that you are not a very happy person, and you have problems, no matter how happy you are and that they can help you. They will also ask you to watch a film, and then perhaps some time you may want to take some of their ”communication courses” that will help you, and then eventuall get you on to auditing. That’s where the brainwashing begins and that’s when they will never leave you alone once they have your personal information. Tell me how this is this still legal again?

So back to the juicy part of the ABC’s interview…
Why did Bashir say to Tommy Davis to get him so hot under the collar? So hot, that he got up and walked out. He asked him about his beliefs. Most people when they are asked about their beliefs or about their religion, will gladly tell you all about it. Especially someone who is supposed to be a representative for a church.

But let me first explain.. If you are a Scientologist, you are not allowed to discuss your “religious beliefs” or where you are on Scientology’s Bridge To Total Freedom with non Scientologists. You can discuss your phony “wins”. But that’s about it. Scientologists are not allowed to discuss any problems they are having, doubts or say anything that can be considered negative against Scientology. If a member did discuss these things, and someone were to report it, than that person would be considered PTS. (potential trouble source). This can mean MORE hours of auditing or a “sect check” if you are in the Sea Org, which is interrogation. It can also lead to family disconnection of not corrected.

As stated before, Scientology’s e-meter works like a lie detector as confirmed by ex member Bruce Hines when he was talking with Bashir. Of course many ex members who have left that didn’t continue with Scientology as a Freezoner will also tell you that the e-meter is nothing more than a lie detector. If you lie while you are “on the cans” it will certainly show. It has nothing to do with “engrams” or removing body thetans from your body as Scientologists are convinced to believe. It’s a damn lie detector.

Pretty snakey of Hubbard. Scientology brainwashes members and puts them on an e-meter to find out all their intimate secrets and then puts all that information into a file and then blackmails ex members by leaking their personal information if they decide to leave and speak out against the cult. What a lovely “church” indeed.

FYI, Hubbard wasn’t the one who invented the e-meter it was actually Volney Mathison. And another FYI….most of Hubbard’s babblings are gleaned from various other religions and smooshed all together. Buddhism being one. Hubbard stole everything from everywhere.

So getting back to Tommy and Bashir.
Bashir wanted to know if Tommy believed in the story of XENU. (pronounced zeenoo) For those of you who do not know who Xenu is, the story of Xenu can be found anywhere on the internet. The story on the internet is actually the EXACT story written by founder L. Ron Hubbard. It is also level three or OTIII, on Scientology’s Bridge to Total Freedom. Which we at Glosslip call the Bridge to Nowhere and Financial Ruin.

There are two ways to climb up the Bridge, but we are not going to get into all that. But one way in order to start climbing up the eight levels Scientology’s Bridge, a member must be deemed “clear” before he can be an “OT” and start up the Bridge. This costs hundreds of thousands of dollars and many hours of auditing, drills and courses in order to get up to that level. This can take many years.

Scientology also tells it’s members that if they were to read OTIII without going the proper path, (called “free wheeling” in scio-speak) that they can catch a pneumonia and possibly die. I kid you not. They also tell their members that some members have become very ill while doing OTIII. And before all you Scientologists out there try to defend OTIII, and say that most religions have crazy stories attached to them, which I totally agree….. Two things.

Number one…. Scientology is not a religion, it is a business, and number two… I think all the stories attached to religions are ALL eye rollers.

When Bashir asked Tommy if he believed in the story of Xenu and volcanoes and such, Tommy said:

“Martin, I am not going to discuss, the disgusting perversions of Scientology beliefs that can be found now commonly on the internet, and be put in the position of talking about things for ah, ah, ah, that, ah, talking about things that are so, fundamentally offensive, to Scientologists to discuss.”

Disgusting perversions of Scientology?
Why not see for yourself? OTIII is on Wikipedia and many other places on the internet for free.

To help you understand the story of Xenu… A YouTuber posted a video which tells the story of Xenu via South Park. (which Scientology had squashed and taken off the air of course) Click here to watch it.

Now although the show South Park is of course a comedy, the OTIII they recited was not a joke nor a spoof. It was told exactly the way it was written by Hubbard. This particular YouTube video, brilliantly included the actual 1967 lecture by L. Ron Hubbard himself who is reciting the story of Xenu and OTIII. It’s Hubbard’s own voice. This video was an excellent way to prove that the story of Xenu and OTIII is in fact told correctly. Any ex member who has done OTIII will also tell you that what is on the internet is EXACTLY the same as the OTIII level they went through and paid for. ASK THEM YOURSELF.

Now why do you think Scientology doesn’t want it’s members to know or hear about Xenu? Remember their claims of getting ill?
Now what if a member happened to hear OTIII and realized that they didn’t get ill from hearing it or reading it and found out what Scientology told them was a lie? How would Scientology look then? Check it out for yourself. Look it up and read it, or watch the video I suggested. See if you get ill! *snicker*

OTIII is such an outlandish piece of sci fi idiocy, that Scientology also fears that if their members were to hear it, they would stop paying to go up the Bridge. What member would pay ALL that money to go up the Bridge if they knew OTIII was about space aliens that were dumped in a volcano? Not too many.

Now you are probably thinking, then why doesn’t Miscavige just change OTIII or tone the story down a bit? Well if he did that, he would have to change the entire Bridge. Reason being…. in OTIII, you learn that your body is infested with body thetans which came out of the volcanos. As you are go farther up the Bridge to the upper levels, members find out that they have even MORE body thetans attached to them that they have to get rid of via auditing on the e-meter. (of course this is more money for Scientology) So getting rid of OTIII, would not be an option. Besides the fact that OTIII is what Scientology is all about with the exception of their communication courses.

So after Bashir tries to calm Davis down (and I am paraphrasing a bit) by saying he is just trying to understand his beliefs and that he thinks he has been acting appropriately during the interview and didn’t try to mock Davis in any way…. he then asks Davis again about Xenu.
Davis replied angrily:

“I’m gonna stop you. If you’re gonna ask me that question again, and you’re going to repeat things about volcanoes and this kind of thing, and so on and so forth, I will stand up and walk out Martin. Because, because what you’re doing by doing that, is you are intentionally asking me things which you know I find offensive. And you’re insisting me on asking of them, so I’m asking you one more time…”

Too bad Bashir didn’t ask Davis why there is a volcano pictured on the front cover of all Scientology Dianetics books and why it is used as Dianetic’s logo. These books with the volcanoes can be seen in every single Scientology display window across the USA and worldwide.

Of course Bashir (my new hero) asks Davis again about Xenu, and that is when Davis stands up, rips off his mike, throws it down and walks out of the interview. Hmmm, seems like Davis could have used some of Scientology’s communication courses. *snicker*
After all, Hubbard stated that “communication is the universal solvent”. Uh… yeah ok Lafayette.

Keep in mind that Davis was most likely drilled extensively by Miscavige before this interview, as with every other interview he does. But nobody really knows what Miscavige is telling Davis when it comes to the story of Xenu. We don’t know if he is in on the scam, or where Davis is in his Scientology teachings. Davis is trying to convince people that it is offensive to speak about his religious beliefs, when it actuality, it is only a ploy to continue to keep Scientology’s scam a secret.

But one thing for sure, no matter how much Davis is drilled before these interviews, he still sports very telling negative body language, he is way too defensive about Scientology beliefs, and he always ends up putting his foot in his mouth.

Bashir was certainly “at cause” over Davis. Davis walking out of that interview, not only made Scientology look very bad, but I was kind of surprised about the REASON why he walked out. WHY?

Davis was interviewed by John Roberts on CNN a while back, and Roberts also asked Davis about the story of Xenu. Davis said that it didn’t sound familiar to him and he was laughing and smirking as if to imply the whole thing was ridiculous.

But THEN not very long ago….. Davis did another interview with Nathan Bacca for KESQ. Bacca asks Davis MANY questions and also asked Davis about the story of Xenu, and Davis said he WAS familiar with the material, and again said he was offended by Bacca asking him about religious beliefs. *scratches head*
This YouTube video, shows a good cross section of Tommy Davis and his ever changing story of OTIII which was reported by an Australian news channel.

So what gives Tommy? Are you NOT keeping track of what you are saying during these interviews? Or are you hoping that people didn’t see your prior interviews?

No worries Tommy…
because we are keeping track of everything you say for you. It’s all over the internet. on forums and all over YouTube.

Between Tommy Davis’s footbullets, Scientology’s court cases, and a group called Anonymous who protest the cult MONTHLY and globally, Scientology has seen better days. And Tommy…. every time you stick you foot in your mouth, people everywhere are watching, recording, talking and writing about it. You have to be getting pretty tired of the taste of foot.

Bashir ended the interview with a recap and at the very end he asked viewers if they thought that Scientology should keep their tax exemption status and to go to the ABC website and leave their opinions. At that point I felt like I was at a football game, as I stood straight up from the couch and cheered ” YES!!”
It was the perfect “bazingo” at the end of the series.

Glosslip would like to thank ABC and Martin Bashir once again for their wonderful coverage on Scientology. We hope this is only the beginning of shedding more light on this abusive cult, and hope it wakes up our Government and law officials enough to finally step in and say enough is enough.

To all members who are still in Scientology. If you are having doubts, please know that you are not alone. If you have come to the realization that something has gone terribly wrong with your “church”… again, you are not alone. Many members are leaving and orgs are struggling to stay open. Don’t be part of the problem, be part of the solution.

If you need help leaving Scientology, or you just need someone to talk to…
call 1-866-XSEAORG. This is a toll free call.

You Can Do It! Be Free!

Speaking of leaving Scientology…

Glosslip would like to congratulate Paul Haggis who has just left Scientology! Paul was a member for over THIRTY FIVE YEARS. He is a screen writer, a director, has won Oscars, and is a civil and human rights activist. Paul wrote a letter to Tommy Davis. In that letter, he complained about San Diego Org’s public support of Proposition 8, about Davis denying the existence of family disconnection when he was interviewed, and how he was also against Scientology using ex member’s private information to attack critics. To read his actual letter he sent to Tommy Davis, you can find a copy of it on WWP. Click here.
Welcome out Paul!

And as always…
Many thanks to Anonymous for their continued tenacity in fighting this cult. Their quest is to stop the abuses of Scientology and totally dismantle the Sea Org and to have fun along the way.
I totally support their fight.
I would also like to thank Anonymous for their Why We Protest website, their Why We Protest Wiki, (which is a WEALTH of information) and for a whole lot of lulz!
Yummy cake to you all!

How many times out of the goodness of your heart, have you donated to a good cause? Did you ever wonder if the good cause you donated to was on the up and up? Have you ever checked out a charity before donating your hard earned money? Well you should.

Just because it looks like a charity is on the up an up or sponsored by celebrities, doesn’t mean your money is going where you think it may be.

Glosslip is about to give you a small lesson in the many front groups of Scientology. If you are thinking that there is no way that you have have given cash to Scientology, think again. It happened to me, only I didn’t realize it until YEARS later. I will get to that later.

As you may or may not know, the cult of Scientology THRIVES on deception and secrecy. It has hundreds of front groups. Some of the better known front groups you may have heard about are, CCHR, Narconon, Criminon, Applied Scholastics, WISE, ABLE, FASE, and The Way To Happiness.

While all the proceeds from these groups end up going to the same place, which is Scientology of course, the names of these groups usually are attached to a business, an inmate betterment program, a drug treatment program, a dentist or chiropractor’s office (we will get to that) or a school which teaches L. Ron Hubbard tech, like Will and Jada Pinkett Smith’s school, the New Village Academy.

But there are a whole slew of names that you may not be aware of that are in fact Scientology. Scientology’s deception runs so deep, that your own town officials may have some of these programs implemented and your tax dollars are ending up in Scientology’s pockets without you even knowing it. Yes, your tax dollars may be funding a Scientology drug rehabilitation program. Sad but true. It has happened in many states in the U.S. and just recently in New Mexico.

Ask Albuquerque Mayor Martin Chavez whose tax payers paid over $1.5 million dollars to run the now defunct Second Chance program which was run in their old Westside Jail. This program used Scientology’s teachings and the very dangerous Purification Rundown, which is also used by all Scientologists. This of course is the same program used in Narconon AND Criminon AND the NY Fire Fighter’s Detoxification program, just to name a few. ALL the same program, only with different names.

FYI…The Second Chance program left in the middle of the night and not only stole items, but left an outstanding bill. They owe more than $600,000 in tax liens, about $400,000 is due to the IRS, and more than $200,000 to the state. I would like to know why Joy Westrum, who ran that particular Second Chance, is not being brought in for questioning? Crazy, isn’t it?

I know if that was MY money going towards a Scientology phony baloney drug rehab, I would be slightly miffed, to say the least.

Some of these programs that you may not be aware of are: The Drug Free Marshals, (this program is for children, and a new chapter just opened in Cincinnati) STOMP (Stop Torture of Mental Patients), World Literacy Crusade, Riders Against Drugs, The Association for Peace in the Middle East, Cry Out, Artists For A Better World, Slums To Schools, Racing For Human Rights Awareness & Education, Educating Children International, Fight for Kids, Author Services Inc., Volunteer Ministries, Guardian Art, Youth For Human Rights, Human Rights International, The NY Fire Fighters Detoxification Program, (created after 911, a front group for Narconon) Poets for Peace And Poets For Human Rights, and the list goes on and on and on. Narconon has MANY front groups and has recently been handing out pamphlets and information in many schools across the US. Tell your school no thank you!

Other names for Narconon front groups are stopaddiction.com, cocaineaddiction.com, ecstacyaddiction.com, methamphetamineaddiction.com, addiction2.com, just to name a few. Click here for more of Scientology’s front groups to watch out for.

Disturbing enough, the front groups names I just listed are merely a drop in the bucket. Scientology has hundreds more and has successfully eked their way into law enforcement positions, government positions, our jail systems, our schools, our colleges, Hollywood, football teams, soccer teams, the arts and entertainment world, and yes, even NASCAR.

NASCAR driver, Kenton Gray, founded the Dianetics Racing Team in 2001. The name Dianetics Racing Team was a title taken from a book by founder of Scientology, L. Ron Hubbard.

Kenton drove a car sponsored by Bridge Publications, (another Scientology front group) which publishes Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard’s “Dianetics”, the biggest book of dribble I have ever had the misfortune of trying to read.

The hood of the car that Kenton drove read “Dianetics”, along with a volcano graphic. The slogan is “Ignite Your Potential”. *rolls eyes*

Poor Kenton has no idea what he has gotten himself into. I am sure a lot of his prize money will be going towards Scientology courses and auditing so he can climb his way up Scientology’s Bridge To Total Freedom or what we here at Glosslip refer to as “The Bridge to Nowhere and Financial Ruin.”

Scientology has also been infiltrating other countries for years now. They are looking for “fresh meat” to join their Sea Organization and their Volunteer Ministries. They have snaked their way into India, Africa, Russia, Thailand and even the Czech Republic and many more. They typically go into countries with using their front groups The Way To Happiness and Volunteer Ministries ostensibly to help the underprivileged. Many unsuspecting people have joined the Volunteer Ministries through Scientology’s “World Crusades” events that Scientology holds thinking they were helping people, completely unaware of the negative influence they were spreading until it’s too late.

Scientology also creeps into businesses through companies like Sterling Management, Hollander Consultants, Silkin Management Group, (formally called Hollander Consultants) and Stellar Consultants, these are just a few. They are ALL affiliated with WISE, which stands for World Institute of Scientology Enterprises.

How is Scientology able to achieve getting into businesses? They contact the owners and tell them that their employees productivity will increase greatly if they take their courses. Of course they are Scientology courses. Scientology courses which were written up by L. Ron Hubbard. They also tell the owner that they too will also make money depending on how many employees they get on course, so naturally some business owners jump at the chance to make more money. The owners must pay a licensing fee to WISE for use of the course materials and also a pay a percentage to WISE.

What is being taught in these courses? L. Ron Hubbard tech of course! And why? MONEY for Scientology and hopefully indoctrination into Scientology down the line. It’s all a a very slow deceptive process.

CONTINUED:

There have been lawsuits against owners of companies who fired employees who refused to get on board with taking these courses. This is a scary and sad situation, especially today where employees may be afraid of losing their jobs in such a poor economy and feel they better take the courses or else they will have to go job hunting. It’s especially disturbing for employees with families they have to support. Take the case of an employee at a company called DISKEEPER who was dismissed when he refused to take courses.

And like we mentioned earlier, dentists and chiropractors are a big target for Scientology. Dentists are usally brought into the cult through the front group WISE. They are asked to pay for pamphlets that Scientology prints. Scientology puts the dentist’s name and endorsement on the pamphlet. Then the dentists will distribute these phamphlets in their offices and waiting rooms. Any patients or employess that sign up for a course, the dentist ends up with a commission.

They hook the chiropractors in through the front group the CCHR, because chiropractors are agaisnt drugging, and so is the CCHR.

Many chiropractors and dentists AND their patients were indoctrinated into the cult this way. The hook is, if the patient trusts and likes their dentist or chiropractor, and think that if they see that their dentist’s name is on a phamphlet, or they pick up a CCHR pamphlet in their chiropractor’s waiting room on the anti drugging of kids, that it’s a good thing because it was endorsed by someone they trust. This can happen at any time. You can be a patient for years, and then start to see these pamphlets show up in the waiting room. We are not suggesting you drop your dentist or chiropractor. But do not get into taking any courses. And keep in mind again, your money will end up in Scientology’s pockets eventually.

We can’t possibly name all of Scientology front groups here. Click here for a list of JUST Scientology Schools in the world.

Scientology also sneaks in the back door using the entertainment world. Of course most people have heard about Tom Cruise and John Travolta and other big league celebrity Scientologists, but I am talking about small time performers too. Like comedians. How about Evan Wecksell, who tours college campuses and who’s a HUGE advocate for “Fight for Kids“. He participated in a 2009 Run Evan Run Tour this past August. All the proceeds went to Fight For Kids. YES of course it’s another Scientology front group.

Evan also trains for the ING New York City Marathon where he ties in raising funds for Fight For Kids at this website. You can make a donation directly to Fight For Kids on that website, but it’s really a donation for Scientology’s CCHR . How many people realize that when they give money to Evan for Fight For The Kids, that it is actually going to the CCHR? Just sickening.

Evan also released a press release which stated:

Wecksell also will take his marathon experience to the next level by fundraising concurrently for “Fight for Kids,” a campaign launched by the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), a non-profit public benefit organization. The campaign combats the psychiatric over-drugging and labeling of children while educating and offering alternatives for concerned parents.

At least the CCHR was mentioned in the article, but how many people know it is connected with Scientology? Or how much is Scientology mentioned at the race? It’s not. Notice how the CCHR is described in the article as a “non profit public benefit organization.” Once again, no mention of Scientology or that he is a Scientologist raising money for Scientology.

Now keep in mind, the only thing that the CCHR does to help kids off drugs is print pamphlets about drugs and hand them out. It’s highly doubtful this is very affective in helping kids.

The CCHR funds their Psychiatry Industry of Death Exhibit (it’s a riot) both in California and the exhibits that travel across the US. All the rest of the money goes towards Scientology’s lawyers who are fighting pending lawsuits and also to pay their washed up and seedy private investigators, who follow, photograph, chase, and who dig up info on critics of Scientology and ex members who have left and have spoken out. The funds also go to their Office of Special Affairs which is nothing more than another group within the CCHR that is a group of Scientology goons who also photograph, follow people, dig up information, and “fair game” anyone who opposes Scientology or gets in the way of their quest to clear the planet. The rest of the money goes to Scientology cult leader David Miscavige who is a multi-millionaire living off Scientology front group earnings, money from the courses, the auditing and the “donations” of Scientology members. Lovely, isn’t it?

Now back to Evan Wecksell…

You can be the judge of his “talents” . Watch for yourself.

He also participates with his wife Kelly Meyersfield — of course another Scientologist – in the ”College The Musical: A Musical About College.” He is also an alum of the Theta Chi fraternity. It’s scary to think that Evan’s tours are at college campuses. What exactly do you think his intentions are? Promoting the CCHR? Evan’s website has other Scientology front groups links listed as well.

Now please know that I am not picking on Evan Wecksell. I am just using him as an example of how Scientology can reach smaller towns with semi-famous entertainers. And even raise funds through using a marathon race.

In Evan’s defense I would imagine like most public Scientologists, he and his wife do not have a clue about the dark side of Scientology. Members are kept far away from this information, and for obvious reasons. Just another deception of Scientology to keep their members in. Evan probably thinks he is doing a world of good for kids by thinking he is actually raising money for them. Sadly, he is not.

Scientology’s front groups are world wide. There are Narconon facilities world wide and many other front groups. L. Ron Hubbard would have loved to taken over the world if he could when he was alive. He thought he would be able to take over Rhodesia in the 1960’s. (named after Cecil Rhodes) Fact, Hubbard believed he was Cecil Rhodes in a previous life. Cecil Rhodes once said:

“I contend that we are the first race in the world and that the more of the world we inhabit the better it is for the human race.”

Rhode’s dream of world domination was Hubbard’s dream too.
Rhodesia ended up kicking Hubbard’s sorry ass out.

Oh well… so much for world domination L. Ron.

In the UK, there is band called the The Jive Aces. They are a swing band whose members are all Scientologists. They go around with clip boards and hand out Scientology literature between their sets. Not my idea of a good time, having to be bothered by recruiters when your out for an enjoyable evening. Some of their venues have asked them to stop recruiting at their shows or else they wouldn’t be aloud to play any more. These guys are SO indoctrinated into Scientology, they even use Hubbard’s words in some of their songs. Click here. This was taped at their performance at Saint Hill Manor in East Grinstead, UK.

St Hill is the biggest Scientology Org in the UK. The entire beginning of their song, “When Your Smiling” is strictly quoting Hubbard’s work. And yes they are very dorky in their matching yellow suits. I love swing music, but NO THANKS!

OR how about when Beck did a performance last year and the poster for his gig stated that all the proceeds went to Educating Children International?

YUP! You guessed it. Another Scientology front group. Pretty damn sneaky Beck. And not cool.

We did a story on that gig. His fans and now ex-fans were not too tickled that their $35 bucks went to Scientology. They were totally deceived. Nice thing to do to your fans huh?

So how did it happen to me?

How did I unknowingly donate money to Scientology? The same way as the Beck concert. I was totally duped by the deceptive promotion of an event.

I was asked to go to a benefit MANY years back. This was previous to my full knowledge of Scientology and all its abuses. Like most people, I always thought Scientology was just some wacky group of people who believed in way out alien crap, and I thought they were totally harmless.

Someone told me the cause for the benefit I was attending was for the over drugging of school children. I thought, hmm… seems like a noble cause. My friend and I paid $30 a ticket and enjoyed the performers that night. There was a table set up passing out pamphlets and they were taking additional donations. I didn’t pay it any mind or even notice the literature they were handing out. Many people donated money and never even looked at the literature, thankfully I declined.

Now like I said, this benefit was YEARS ago. It wasn’t till a little over a year and a half ago I remembered reading an article that mentioned the over-drugging of school kids and that it was for the CCHR. It struck me kind of funny when I read it, as the words used in the article were so similar to the words used in describing the benefit I attended.

Well with a little snooping, I found out that the benefit I went to was also for the CCHR. So I looked into the CCHR and Scientology and I nearly fell of my seat. I was HORRIFIED.

Right then and there was when I decided to fight against Scientology. I was beyond disgusted and I couldn’t believe their out right deception.

But in the long run (many years later) I was happy that I did attend that benefit, because I would have never found out about all the abuses of Scientology and especially about their Sea Organization. So thanks Scientology, I guess you pulled me in and opened my eyes to your treacherous ways.

The more I dug up about Scientology on the net, the more and more I knew that I wanted to speak out for those who couldn’t speak out for themselves. Especially the Sea Org. I went on to read about Operation Snow White (when Scientologists (Hubbard’s wife too) infiltrated the IRS offices and stole government documents) It was the the single largest infiltration of the United States government in history! How Scientology was able to obtain tax exemption after this just makes me shake my head in disgust. Eleven people, including Hubbard’s wife, went to jail.

Equally as shocking, was the incredible story of the fair gaming of author Paulette Cooper who authored The Scandal Of Scientology. That Scientology fair game project was called “Operation Freak Out.” The poor woman was framed by Scientology and almost went to jail for a very long time. Read the story, it will blow your mind.

I was also shocked over Scientology’s religious cloaking and how they strong armed the IRS into giving them their tax exemption status back in the 90’s. And FYI…. they are the ONLY “religion”, *ahem* which is allowed to deduct courses, Scientology schooling and auditing as a deduction from their taxes. Nope not kidding.

From the Jewish Law website:

In 1993, the Internal Revenue Service reached an agreement with the church, which was later leaked to the press, in which it pledged “not to contest the deductibility of Church of Scientology fixed donations in connection with qualified religious services.”

WHY IS THIS ALLOWED?

Perhaps the Sklars court case from 2002 will interest you. They wanted to know why Scientology is the only “religion” that is allowed this exclusive tax exemption and so they decided to take their question to court. The LA Jewish couple asked if they can deduct their five children’s religious school costs off their taxes, in the same manner Scientology members are allowed to do, but guess what? They were denied. HUH?

Curious isn’t it? And more curious still…Scientology’s founder said and I quote:

“Scientology…is not a religion.” – L. Ron Hubbard, CREATION OF HUMAN ABILITY, 1954, p. 251

The Sklars have recently appealed to the Supreme Court. The outcome of this case will be very interesting.

Although I don’t believe that anyone should be allowed tax exemption for religious expenses, I think Scientology should not have exclusive rights. Perhaps this will rally the Supreme Court to take a good long hard look at all of Scientology’s shenanigans and favoritism that they were some how blessed with and why.

So, are you appalled yet? Good! Your learning!

I couldn’t stop digging around the internet about Scientology. It was like looking at a car accident. After reading about the death of Lisa McPherson and all the other alleged Scientology deaths, their use of fair game, all the abuses of their Sea Org members, and the out right evil deceptions that occur on a daily basis, I was totally hooked on making a promise to shed light on this insidious, litigious cult.

The people over at WhyWeProtest.com have been an ongoing thorn in Scientology’s side. Their website and forum consists of members of the group known as “Anonymous”, as well as critics and ex-Scientology members. Their website is a wealth of information, as well as their Research Wiki Page.

I tip my hat to Anonymous.

They have been able to shed more light on Scientology more than any other group or person. Their antics at their world wide protests which they claim they do for the “lulz”, and the all mighty internet has literally made the cult of Scientology start to crumble in a huge way and Anonymous may very well end up being the cult’s demise entirely.

I also have read some very heart wrenching stories at exscientologykids.com. This website was a real eye opener for me. It was started by Scientology ex-members Astra Woodcraft, Kendra Wiseman and Jenna Miscavige who were only children in Scientology’s brutal Sea Organization. Jenna suffered family disconnection from her parents as a child and left in 2005. She is the niece of Scientology cult leader David Miscavige. Be sure to give that website a visit. You will be both saddened and outraged by Scientology’s outright cruelty to children.

Of course Scientology does a good job themselves of constantly “pulling it in” by not only believing that they are above the law, but their constant “foot bullets” and lies are no longer working. People world wide are wising up and uniting to put an end to this utter sham of a religion, which is nothing more than a money making pyramid scheme.

So the next time you hand over your hard earned money as a donation, or buy tickets to a show or benefit, attend a race, a movie with a Scientology star or check a loved one into any kind of rehabilitation center, OR you have to take a course at work…. be sure to check it out first. Read the small print. Be sure you know who you are supporting!

Check the Scientology front group list and make sure it is not on that list. And keep in mind, Scientology is VERY shifty. When a smaller front group’s name gets too much attention of having Scientology ties and the funding stops, they just come up with new names and move on. All the money collected from all these front groups, all goes to the same place… SCIENTOLOGY.

Also, be aware that any time you see a “Stress Test” table with the red table cloths set up selling copies of the book Dianetics, that it is nothing more than Scientology all the way.

These Stress Test tables set up at fairs, flea markets, malls, street fairs, college campuses, city streets, and have been seen set up outside of some Walmarts!

The Stress Test is where the deception starts, as you will not see a sign saying Scientology ANYWHERE on their tables. They are only interested in sucking you into the cult by having you take a stress test, which will then lead to their personality test. This is where they will tell you that you have problems, or you are not very happy and that you need help and they can help you with some courses. They also claim to cure illnesses. I kid you not.

Speaking of not supporting Scientology, keep in mind that any support for any Scientology celebrity, artist or musician is also giving money to Scientology down the line, as they are continually having to take courses and auditing and “donate” millions to Scientology. Right Tom Cruise?

Not too long ago, Cruise lobbied the White House to have every school in the US teaching Scientology’s L. Ron Hubbard tech through the Applied Scholastics front group. Some schools in the US do teach this tech already. The tech is very dangerous, as it will eventually elimnate your child’s ability to think critically and when they go to further their education, they will most likely be far behind others. It also teaches that if the child is not able to understand what they are being taught, that it is THEIR fault. Many students can not get into college after attending a school teaching this tech. Is your child’s school next?

So any movie ticket that you purchase that has a Scientology star in it, the money will end up supporting Scientology down the line. YOUR money.

Don’t be duped, and don’t support a cult that is rife with abuse, deception and utterly drains people of their critical thinking along with their bank accounts and lively hood.

If you are outraged by all of Scientology’s deceptions and abuses of its members, let your local, state and government officials know about it. They are not above board with their front groups and fake charities and it simply must end.

There is no way for Scientology to reform. In order for Scientology to reform, they would first have to put an end to their mind control process. But that is very unlikely, as Scientology IS all about mind control, Without mind control, there would simply be no Scientology.

I urge you to please click on the many links I have thoroughly researched and provided in this article so you can easily read up on some of the many stories, information and horrors of Scientology.

And I end this very long article with words from the founder of Scientology, the late L. Ron Hubbard, who is revered by cult members who still hang on to his every word…

“THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN CONTROL PEOPLE IS TO LIE TO THEM. You can write that down in your book in great big letters”.

L. Ron Hubbard, “Off the Time Track,” lecture of June 1952, excerpted in JOURNAL OF SCIENTOLOGY issue 18-G, reprinted in TECHNICAL VOLUMES OF DIANETICS & SCIENTOLOGY, vol. 1, p. 418

On The Way to Scientology's Bridge To Total Freedom?

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have recently fired Jacqueline Olivier of their New Village Academy School in Calabasas Ca. The reported reason for the dismissal stems from Olivier’s refusal to go along with the L. Ron Hubbard Study Tech that the school uses in its curriculum. Smart lady.

Jacqueline was fired over the PHONE by Jada and was told that they decided to go in another direction. Jacqueline’s position commanded a $200,000 a year salary, one would think that Jada would have the common decency to at least talk to her in person.

So what different direction are the Smith’s talking about? The Scientology direction, that’s what. The Smiths hired a woman by the name of Piano Foster, who just so happens, to be, you guessed it, a Scientologist. So now you might wonder how many Scientologists does that make on their school staff? Foster is listed in the Scientology data base as a “celebrity”. We were unable to find out much of anything as far as Piano’s education other than she took Hubbard’s Study Manual course back in 2005. Seems to be enough credentials all would need to be the head of school, right?

Here’s what RadarOnline is reporting:

Jacqueline Olivier – the woman the famous husband and wife enlisted to set up their Calabasas campus – was axed from her $200,000 a year position via a telephone call from the Matrix actress.

“Jada phoned Jacqueline and told her that they had ‘decided to go in another direction’ with the school,” an insider told RadarOnline.com. “As head of the campus her position was becoming untenable as she did not agree with Study Tech and felt uncomfortable with it.” Olivier “thrashed-out” a severance package with the couple and “it’s understood that she signed a confidentiality agreement with regard to her time at the school.”

When contacted by RadarOnline.com, Foster confirmed: “I officially took over on July 1, 2009, and I’m looking forward to the challenge. I’ve been working in education for the past 20 years at various public and charter schools so I feel I’m ready for the job.”

RadarOnline has followed up with some additional information in a new article about Piano Foster’s Scientology connections:

I’ve been working in education for the past 20 years at various public and charter schools so I feel I’m ready for the job.”

It seems one of Foster’s other possible qualifications stems from her knowledge of and participation in Scientology. Foster completed a Scientology Basic Study Manual course in 2005 and her name appears on an official Scientology list.

RadarOnline.com contacted The California Department of Education with regard to the school’s current status. From the beginning, the school has denied any affiliation to any religion, calling the institution nondenominational.

“I can confirm that the New Village Academy is registered with us.” Information Officer with the (CDE) Tina Jung said. “They signed an affidavit in line with our regulations which name’s Jacqueline Olivier as the Site Administrator. It is listed as a private business and as being ‘non-religious’ within the affidavit. New Village Leadership Academy is listed as a private business with the Secretary of State’s Office.

Very interesting. Jada was quoted as saying, ”We are a secular school, and just like all non-religious independent schools, faculty and staff do not promote their own religions at the school.”

Hmmm…if Hubbard’s main goal was for all Scientologits to always practice “KSW” (Keep Scientology Working) and also to “infiltrate and disseminate” then how on earth can these Scientology teachers at this school, not be promoting Scientology? They ARE promoting Scientology simply by using Scientology Study Tech. It is a very sneaky way to slide Scientology in. And of course why would Oliver be made to sign confidentiality agreement? Why was this necessary? Does anyone else find that odd? I hope she comes forward with what she experienced. She owes it to not only the children, of course, but to the parents who are enrolled, and to those parents who may be considering enrolling their child at the New Village Academy.

Oliver has previously commented about the Study Tech when she first started out at the school a while back:

Jacqueline Olivier, New Village Academy’s head administrator, denied that the school had a religious affiliation, and told the Los Angeles Times: “People tend to think study technology is a subject, but it is really just the way the subject is taught. They then come to the conclusion that we are teaching Scientology when actually a methodology doesn’t have anything to do with content.”

Olivier was appointed administrator at the school in 2007, and her duties have included hiring all teachers since that time.

Well it’s obvious that Oliver has changed her tune dramatically about the Study Tech that is being taught at New Village. The Study Tech being taught at New Village is a carbon copy of the Study Tech which is taught at Scientology Schools, Delphi Academy for instance.

Delphi Academy:

This know-how is contained in Study Technology (Study Tech), an educational philosophy and a practical approach to teaching and learning based on research and developments by American writer and educator L. Ron Hubbard during the second half of the twentieth century.

Starting in the early levels, every Delphi student eventually learns all the tools about how to learn.

Any school that teaches this study tech has to pay for a license fee from Applied Scholastics, a known Scientology front group.

Applied Scholastics claims:

In the 1920s, L. Ron Hubbard’s concern for education began when he realized the “influence of a mislearned word on a life.” At that time, he was teaching English in a school in Guam. During the Second World War, he became involved in the direct instruction of military personnel as well as the redrafting of instructional materials.
As educators throughout the world learned of Mr. Hubbard’s breakthroughs, they began to utilize them in their own work. Thus were formed the roots of a new world wide movement – Applied Scholastics.

From the New Village Academy website:

Study Technology – An educational model developed by L.R. Hubbard, study technology focuses on three principles. First is the use of “mass” (manipulatives and hands-on experiences) to foster understanding – children need to see and feel what they are learning about. Second is the attention to the “gradient,” which ensures sure students master one level before moving on to the next. Third is the “misunderstood word,” in which students master word definitions and are taught not to read past words they don’t know the meanings of in order to understand completely what they are reading and learning. NVLA uses study technology as an umbrella methodology woven through the subjects.

What were L. Ron Hubbard’s credentials as an educator?

A very informative website had a myriad of information on the subject. It is entitled Scientology vs Education. Here are a few interesting excerpts about L. Ron Hubbard, his Study Tech and what professionals think about Study Tech:

A curious fact about the Study Tech books is that they list no author or editor. The covers all say “Based on the works of L. Ron Hubbard”, and the copyright registration is held by the L. Ron Hubbard Library, the business alias of the Church of Scientology’s corporate alter ego, the Church of Spiritual Technology. But while the copyright dates are 1992 (or in the case of the Basic Study Manual, 1990), Hubbard died in 1986. So who wrote these books?

Hubbard was a college dropout with no qualifications beyond a purchased degree from a notorious Los Angeles degree mill. Nor had he any experience of teaching children other than one month in a native school on Guam in 1927, when he was just 16 years old. None of this, of course, is mentioned in any official account of Hubbard’s career as an educator. Remarkably, Applied Scholastics omits entirely any mention of the fact that he spent 30 years teaching Scientologists, or that Study Technology itself was invented to “educate” Scientologists.

Since he died in 1986, unauthorized biographers have documented in considerable detail how Hubbard systematically falsified his life story to exaggerate his own achievements and make it appear that Scientology was the culmination of a lifetime of effort (Atack, 1990; Miller, 1988; Owen, 1999). His teaching “career” was no exception to this rule.

It has to be said that he was not a very successful father; of his five children, he disowned and disinherited two, and one committed suicide. His surviving children were brought up as Scientologists but never saw him again after he went into hiding in 1977. He was actually closest to the children of other Scientologists, who became his most loyal followers and confidantes. In a bizarre twist, these loyal Scientology children took control of their Church in a “palace coup” in the early 1980s, and continue to run the Church to this day.

One curious aspect of Scientology’s ideology is that children are not actually treated as children. Hubbard claimed that human beings are actually immortal spirits or “thetans,” trillions of years old, housed in “meat bodies.” An individual’s body might be ten years old or thirty, but the thetan – the person himself – would be entitled to equal treatment regardless of physical age.

Scot Danforth, who oversees teacher education for the University of Missouri at St. Louis, said he searched a database of four decades of published educational research and could find no study on L. Ron Hubbard’s instructional techniques.
“In my opinion, they are involved in the worst kind of deception. They make grandiose claims about the effectiveness of their methods and materials … with data that has never been published in a legitimate educational research journal,” he said.

Greg Jung, president of the Missouri National Education Association, is cautious.
“We don’t know if the people who are providing training are qualified and if the teachers providing the tutoring are qualified,” Jung said.
(Bower, 2003)

Johanna Lemlech, a professor of education at USC specializing in curriculum and teaching, calls the books “awful.” They “violate everything we know about how children learn, and appropriate pedagogy,” she says. “In short, these books should be carefully placed in the cylindrical file.” (Catania, 1997)

Hubbard’s dogmatic doctrine of the “misunderstood word” attracted particular criticism:
“In many cases, lack of comprehension is not because of a misunderstood word,” says Sidnie Myrick, who leads a UCLA research group on early literacy, teaches a master’s course in reading at Cal State L.A., and also teaches a class of first, second and third graders at Thomas Edison Elementary School in Glendale (she was Glendale’s 1993 Teacher of the Year). “In fact,” she says, “in many cases the student won’t get the meaning until the material is presented in a completely different way.”

Myrick also finds the books’ illustrations “cutesy and condescending,” the explanations “stilted and manufactured,” and study technology, all in all, “woefully inadequate.”

Ms. Catania also interviewed members of the Los Angeles school board, about which she wrote:
“One member of the Los Angeles school board is unimpressed. A former high school history teacher, David Tokofsky calls the books “remedial” and says they would be of little use to any but the lowest-performing students. “If you walked into an eighth-grade class and tried to use these books on kids who are at the proper level, you’d kill them,” says Tokofsky, who coached the Marshall High School Academic Decathlon team to a national championship in 1987. “They’re not even good comic books.”

Study Tech has been around for several decades, but today, only Scientologists recommend it for use in public classrooms. Its proponents claim miraculous results, yet no independent evaluation of its effectiveness has ever been done. Its creator claimed that it represents a revolutionary advance in learning, yet it is in practice little more than a method of compelling mindless rote learning devoid of any critical thought or interpretation.

But Study Tech is no more a secular learning methodology than wine and communion wafers are a Sunday morning snack. Its ambitions may be entirely conventional, but its vocabulary and practices are part of a religious doctrine closely tied to Scientology beliefs. The end product of Study Tech is an individual who has been taught to “duplicate” uncritically any proposition, no matter how dubious. It deprecates critical analysis and genuine understanding in favour of a mindless acceptance of the author as an unassailable authority figure. It reflects L. Ron Hubbard’s profoundly authoritarian desire to be seen as the “Source” of all Scientology wisdom and it serves his aim of encouraging unquestioning acceptance of his authority.

The real danger of Study Tech is that it was designed for indoctrination, not education. While it may be good at producing obedient Scientologists, it is completely at odds with promoting the ability to think independently. It quite deliberately aims to reduce a student’s ability to think critically. Students are taught to distrust their own intelligence and background knowledge, passively and uncritically accepting whatever they are being told. This can only deprive students of a skill vital in an age saturated with conflicting messages, where critical thinking is essential to making sense of the world. Study Tech’s doctrinaire and authoritarian approach to teaching is hostile to, and deserves no place in, secular educational institutions.

Between Hubbard’s history of lies, the damaging aspects of using Study Tech, his own personal views about children, and his failure as a father, why would Will and Jada Smith consider teaching this unproven mumbo jumbo which derived from an uneducated con man who lied about his entire life and his accomplishments. Keep in mind he lied about MANY more of his accomplishments, including his trumped up military career. We just listed a few concerning his educational background, or shall we say lack there of.

So who convinced the Smiths that this Study Tech was the right route to go? Maybe it was his trainer Darrel Foster. Who just happens to be Piano Foster’s husband. Smith golfs on the weekends with Darrel too. Darrel is of course also a Scientologist and is listed in the Scientology data base as a celebrity, like wife Piano. They both took the same Scientology course. Interesting.

Or perhaps it was BFF Tom Cruise. Tommy boy is such a HUGE advocate of Applied Scholastics, and even lobbied in DC to have every school in the US teaching this study tech.

Quoting the Applied Scholastics website: (where it has an entire page of celebrities that endorse this study tech. Of course every one of them a Scientologist including Isaac Hayes, even though there is no mention of Isaac’s death, or that he was a part of WISE another huge Scientology front group):

Tom is an activist and global ambassador for Applied Scholastics. His work includes helping Applied Scholastics establish their 100-acre international training institute and headquarters in St,. Louis Missouri.

So Tom Cruise is a global ambassador for this Study Tech? And his educational credentials are exactly what again? Or am I just being glib?

Cruise was a very poor student. He claims that Study Tech helped cure his dyslexia. Wait a minute, he is a full blown Scientologist, and he claims he was helped by using Scientology Study Tech? Now remind me again how the New Village Academy isn’t indoctrination into Scientology?

This Study Tech is ONLY endorsed by Scientologists, Scientology celebrities and people who just do not know any better. Would you want your children learning Hubbard’s Scientology Study Tech in their school?

Wake up Will and Jada. Either you are already brainwashed into thinking this was a good idea to use Study Tech in your school, or Scientology is using you. Well, sadly it’s probably both.

People, get involved. Ask the Government why this Study Tech is not being put under a microscope and fully investigated. Tell Scientology NO. Not my children, not in my neighborhood. Every day that passes, is another day that a child will be experiencing the harmful effects of this Study Tech. Write to the Board Of Education, the California Teachers Association and your law officials. There are many schools teaching this tech and parents must be made aware of the consequences their children may face.

I have been a huge Mickey Rourke fan going WAY back. My absolute favorite of his film is The Pope Of Greenwich Village. In fact, The Pope… is way up there on my all time favorite movie list. Rourke and Eric Roberts tore up the screen up with that movie. Who can forget Roberts as Paulie screaming “Charlie they took my thumb!”? If you have never seen this movie, you are really missing out on a classic. I watched this movie more times than I can count, and after writing this story, I now have to watch it again.

Couple movie facts you may not know about the Pope: Michael Cimino was uncredited for co-directing this movie and it was originally titled Village Dreams.

The only downfall to this movie for me, was Daryl Hannah, who played Mickey’s girlfriend. (blech! never liked the gal, sorry)

I swooned over Mickey Rourke in the Pope. Damn he was handsome. It takes a lot for me to swoon, and a lot for me to use the word swoon. Rourke was also great in Diner and Barfly too, even though I was shocked at his appearance in Barfly as curmudgeonly writer, Charles Bukowski, himself not a “handsome” man. But in comparison to Mickey’s face today, and I don’t mean that in a mean way, I look back and realize he didn’t really look half bad in Barfly.

I bet few people remember Rourke did a cameo as an arsonist in Body Heat. Now again, if you haven’t seen this twisty mystery, please do, you will NOT be disappointed I promise.

OH! And let’s not ever forget the two highly erotic and very steamy flicks (and perhaps what he’s best known for) Wild Orchid and 9 1/2 weeks. Zowie!

Mickey in the Real Ring

Mickey eventually dropped out of the movie scene, due to him being “castigated” from Hollywood, spurred by his erratic behavior and super crazy indulgent life-style, as well as abuse allegations against his Wild Orchid co-star turned wife, model Carrie Otis.

At the Golden Globes, his reply to Barbara Walters, when she asked him about his past and did he ever considered committing suicide:

“I sort of self-destructed and everything came out about fourteen years ago or so … the wife had left, the career was over, the money was not an ounce. The dogs were there when no one else was there.

Yeah, I didn’t want to be here, but I didn’t want to kill myself. I just wanted to push a button and disappear…I think I hadn’t left the house for four or five months, and I was sitting in the closet, sleeping in the closet for some reason, and I was in a bad place, and I just remember I was thinking, ‘Oh, man, if I do this,’ [and] then I looked at my dog, Lowjack, and he made a sound, like a little almost human sound. I don’t have kids, the dogs became everything to me. The dog was looking at me going, ‘Who’s going to take care of me?’

So what did Mickey do when he was not popular in the movie scene any more?

He went full tilt into professional boxing back in 1991, a sport that he has loved since he was in his teens. But after years of jumping in the ring and getting knocked around, Mickey received Docs orders to stop. There are many consequences of getting your noggin knocked around for that many years. You may just forget what you did the night before (I have been there), or suffer irreversible brain damage. Not to mention what it can do to your face.

After years of bodily abuse, Mickey put down his boxing gloves and traded them in for a movie script, to play Randy the Ram in The Wrestler along with Marisa Tomei. Mickey had to put on twenty pounds, forget his boxing days and train in wrestling.
Director for The Wrestler, Darren Aronofksy, who took a chance on casting Mickey, really laid down the law before casting him. Darren wanted to be sure that Mickey was aware of the chance he was taking on him and wanted a total understanding between the two of them, and that he may not be able to pay Mickey at all.

Darren told Mickey:

“I can’t raise any money with you, you have ruined your career by misbehaving, but if we can get the money, you are going to listen to everything I say, and your going to do everything I tell you to do, you can never disrespect me in front of the crew, and I can not pay you.”

Mickey goes on to say, “Well, I thought…I heard he was smart and I know he has the balls too, so I thought this is my kind of guy”

Mickey as "Randy the Ram" in The Wrestler

Well old fans and new fans were truly glad things worked out for Mickey and director Darren. In a very BIG way. The movie was a SMASH and Mickey ended up taking home the Independent Spirit Award and a Bafta (The British Academy Of Film and Television Arts) for Best Actor. Not to mention the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards where Mickey was presented with ”Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture,” AND he was nominated by the Academy Awards for Best Actor. Many people will argue that he deserved the Oscar for his genius performance. Don’t worry, you’ll get em’ next time Mickey!
Actually this movie has a very long list of awards, that I didn’t even mention.

So after years of being out of the movie game completely, Mickey came back with vengeance and kicked some serious ass!

Now back to that pretty face…..

Mickey’s once gorgeous face really has suffered due to his lust for boxing. It didn’t help matters, when Mickey found himself on the bitter end of what Mickey called picking the “wrong guy” to do his plastic surgeries.

More from BANG Showbiz:

The 56-year old star of ‘The Wrestler’ said that he has had five operations to fix the damage done to his face during his career as a boxer, and he thinks he may have gone to the “wrong guy”.

He said: “Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together.”

Suffered a catalogue of injuries while in the ring, but admits the cuts and bruises were nothing compared to one little-known side effect of the sport. He said: “I had my nose broken twice. I had five operations on my nose and one on a smashed cheekbone.

“I had to have cartilage taken from my ear to rebuild my nose and a couple of operations to scrape out the cartilage because the scar tissue wasn’t healing properly. That was one of the most painful operations, but the worst was hemorrhoids.”

Mickey admitted to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper: “I was out of control and did not think the party was going to end. I could stay in any hotel, buy anything I wanted – I once bought six Cadillacs for cash and then gave them all away – and take out all my entourage to dinner. “My mansion in Beverly Hills was like something from ‘Halloween III’ – Elvis on acid. The neighbours were moving in and out almost monthly.”

Mickey was married twice and is now single. Even after multiple surgeries and his wacky ways, the chicks swarm around “The Pope.”
He was taking a break from filming his role as assassin Whiplash in the Iron Man sequel and was spotted at the Bijoux Lounge nightclub in the Big Apple’s Meatpacking district yucking it up and tossing back a few with club owner KyKy and some gals. VERY YOUNG GALS. He was seen mugging it up (my parents term for kissing, which I always hated, and now I am using it… go figure) with a Victoria Secrets, Russian model, 24 year old, Eugenie Volodina. Yup! She’s TWENTY FOUR!

Usually I would tend to say eeeewwwww over such a huge age difference, Mickey is 32 years older to be exact – but I just can’t do it when it comes to Mickey Rourke. I am thinking more on the lines of ”Yeah that’s right… Mickey is 56 years old and he is out smooching with a 24 year old freakin’ model…so You go Pope!”

Watch That Hand Missy!

Eugenie Volodina

Despite my life-long appreciation for “The Pope”, there is one thing that really bugged me the most about the new Mickey: his hair. Ok, that sounds a bit shallow, but come on, his hair looks horrendous. When I think back to his lovely locks, that I SO wanted to run my fingers through years ago, it makes me sad.

Mickey, for all the time and effort spent on stylish clothes and plastic surgery, has a dirty hot mess featuring The Bride of Frankenstein extensions. I’m sorry Mick!

And while I feel kind of bad for posting these pics, it’s my job, and besides…it’s clearly not keeping you from making time with the ladies, so just keep on being you.

But Mickey, if you are reading this, please before you step out clubbin’, put a comb through your hair. Ok?

A little bit more on this age thing. I guess the cliches, “your only as old as you feel”, “you only go around once”, and “life is too short to drink cheap wine”, can all apply to this situation.

Everyone has their own ways of handling aging. I know some people act and look way older than they should. So am I acting immature? Or am I just young at heart? Hmm.

During an interview after winning the BAFTA award for The Wrestler, Mickey reflected on what his boxing trainer Bill once told him, and also threw in his own views on aging:

“Every fighter in one night, gets old, and they’re the last to know, cause’ they always want one more”

Age according to the Pope:

“As age goes by, time can be a cruel thing, and especially in the way society is, which puts emphasis on ”how old is this person?”.

So there you have it, Mickey is not one to bullshit anyone either and he has always lived his life with great gusto, in the past perhaps a little too much vigor and vim. But now, he is taking it down a few notches and attributes his comeback after fourteen years to his psychiatrist, who he sees a few times a week named, “Steve,” and a Catholic priest ”Father Pete.”

Rourke is a Roman Catholic and quite the spiritual guy. But you can never really tame the Pope completely. He will never be brought down to the state of mellow.

Mickey once said: “I’ll never be mellow, OK? I’d rather be dead than mellow. You might as well take me out the back and shoot me in the back of the head before I’m going to be mellow.”

So even though Mickey will never be mellowed, has boxed for years, and played the roles of sexy tough guys, he has a huge soft side to him. The man is quite the animal lover. Especially dogs. He is also a big advocate for spaying and neutering. Right on Mick! Most of his dogs have been chihuahuas. He recently lost his beloved dog “Loki”. She was a chihuahua-terrier mix. Mickey was so devastated over Loki’s death, he wore a necklace to the Spirit Awards and the Academy Awards which bared Loki’s picture, and even choked up during his acceptance speech when he mentioned her. It nearly broke my heart, to see the Pope cry.

Mickey said:

”Loki is deeply missed but with me in spirit. I feel very blessed that she fell asleep peacefully in my arms.

I just think that was beyond sweet and touching.

Mickey loved his dogs so dearly,… that during his Golden Globes acceptance speech he thanked his beloved pups:

“Id like to thank all my dogs. The ones that are here, the ones that aren’t here anymore because sometimes when a man’s alone, that’s all you got is your dog. And they’ve meant the world to me.”

RIP Loki...Your Daddy Misses You

Mickey delivered quite the saucy acceptance speech at the Independent Spirit Awards, and he had the whole audience roaring. It’s definitely worth the watch, if you haven’t seen it. The first thing he did surprisingly, was praise his co-star from the Pope Of Greenwich Village, Eric Roberts, who happen to be present that night .

Rourke said:

“Eric Roberts is probably the best actor I ever worked with, and I don’t know why, in the last 15 years ain’t nobody give him a chance to show his shit again.” and “Eric Roberts is the fucking man!”

They both have TONS of fans, and people would flock to go see them reunite. Mickey’s fans even have a blog website called Uniquely Rourke actually there are MANY Rourke fan websites. And of course Mickeyalso has his own website. There is also a petition to get Mickey a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The goal is to reach 5,00 signatures and they are currently close to 4,000. So if you want to see the Pope get the star he so rightly deserves, go sign the petition.

So in my eyes, Mickey is 56 years YOUNG, and I am looking forward to many more wonderful movies. Even with his past years of wacky behavior, drug abuse, surgeries gone bad, and his hot mess hair aside…you gotta love him.

After all, he’s still the Pope of Greenwich Village.

This Won't Hurt A Bit

Well just when I thought TV couldn’t get any more boring, TNT will be premiering another medical show come June. *Yawn*

Scientology fembot, Jada Pinkett Smith will be starring in the new series called “Hawthorne.” The thing that makes this show totally ironic, is that Jada Pinkett Smith will be playing an RN. Yes the school marm is taking time out from being school headmistress of her New Village Academy Scientology school, which we recently reported on.

She will be donning a white coat and transforming herself into “Christina Hawthorne RN Heroine” (must say in booming movie voice). Man, don’t Jada and Will just LOVE playing these “save the world” parts?

Will was just in Hancock, I Am Legend and Seven Pounds.
Blech! Enough already!

TNT writes:

Following in the footsteps of Kyra Sedgwick in “The Closer” and Holly Hunter in “Saving Grace,” Jada Pinkett Smith (The Women, The Matrix Trilogy) is the latest actress to bring her talent to TNT’s arsenal of strong, complex female characters. In this character-driven medical drama told from the nurses’ point of view, she stars as Christina Hawthorne, the forceful-yet-caring director of nursing at Richmond Trinity Hospital. When a patient’s care is at risk, she will not hesitate to violate hospital protocol, defend her staff against egotistical doctors or firmly stand up to apathetic administrators who seem to have forgotten a hospital’s true purpose. Recently widowed, she also has to take on her equally important role as a mother to a willful, rebellious teenage daughter. Pinkett Smith heads a diverse cast that includes David Julian Hirsh (Lovebites), Michael Vartan (Alias), Christina Moore (90210) and Suleka Mathew (Men in Trees). She also serves as executive producer, along with Emmy®-winning creator John Masius (St. Elsewhere, Providence, Dead Like Me) and Jamie Tarses (My Boys).

Why do I find the part she plays SO ironic? Because Scientology’s beliefs include NOT taking any psyche drugs of any kind and often frown on the medical community as a whole, preferring their own “scientific methods.” So does this mean she will not be shown administering any drugs on the show? Or will she not be present when someone is administering drugs on the show? Or is she going to teach the staff Scientology “touch assists”? If a drug addict comes in the hospital, will she can guide them to Narconon for a detox using mega doses of vitamins, oil and days in a sauna? (Scientology’s Purification Rundown and what Katie went on several times).

Or perhaps if a patient needs psychiatric care, she can send them over to the CCHR’s Psychiatry Industry of Death Exhibit. (The CCHR is a Scientology front group whose goal is to “obliterate psychiatry”).

Instead of a defibrillator, maybe she can use an e-meter, aka “the cans”. Scientology followers (which we at Glosslip have concluded Jada is) believe that if there is anything is wrong with them mentally or physically…not only did they “pull it in” themselves, but they can ”audit” out their problems and ill feelings on the e-meter. Then once the needle on the e-meter “floats”, they will no longer be labeled “PTS” (a potential trouble source).

Sounds kind of preposterous huh? Welcome to Scientology baby!

Bizarrely enough, that’s just a SMALL part of the overall kooky-ness of Scientology. In the interest of space and time, we won’t get into all the specifics on founder, sci-fi writer and snake-oil salesman L. Ron Hubbard, or the wacky story of body thetans clinging to Scientologist’s bodies, as told in OT III, or the sadness of their fake navy, para military sect, the Sea Organizationand all the human rights abuses ect… that husband “I am not a Scientologist” Will and Jada support by dumping butt loads of money into.

This is just a short little article to let people know, that come June, Hawthorne is on it’s way, and soon after, hopefully on it’s way out.

On a more serious note, to support this show, is to support Scientology. How can part of her paycheck NOT be going towards the new Scientology companion school that her and Will just announced that they are going to build in the near future? Doesn’t seem possible, does it?

Will and Jada can argue all they want these schools are not Scientology schools, but for those of us who’ve investigated the connections, we know the truth.

Suffice it to say, when you employ Scientologist teachers, have PR flack Pat Kingsley (Tom Cruise’s former PR gal) fielding all media inquiries about the school, and proudly proclaim using L. Ron Hubbard tech, it can only mean one thing: kids are being exposed to body thetan excising, Xenu-fearing, Tom Cruise lovin’, anti-psychiatry spewing, Scientology whackadoodles.

Bye Bye Mommy, I’m Off To Scientology School

Well, just when I thought I have had my fill on how despicable Tom Cruise can be, he up and announces his youngest child, Suri (who turns 3 on April 18) will be attending a Scientology school.

Bye bye Suri!

Not just ANY Scientology school mind you, but the school of Will “I am a Christian. I am a student of all religions. And I respect all people and all paths” Smith and wife Jada “The Schoolmaster’s” school of course.

Yes, it’s true, Suri will be attending the New Village Academy School in Calabasas California and learning her ABC’s Scientology style.

More like ARC’s, a Scientology acronym which stands for Affinity, Reality, and Communication, which is the meaning of the lower triangle in the cult’s logo.

By now, most of you know the school, the one that Will and Jada dumped a cool $1 mill of their own money into last year? The private school will offer organic meals, laptops for every student and an environment of learning based on “equity” and “respect” to create “citizens of the world.”

Wow sounds kind of fantastic right?

The school accommodates students pre-k through sixth grade.

Laptops? Hmmm I wonder if the laptops will all be installed with a “net nanny” so if students are allowed to connect to the internet, which is doubtful, their wandering eyes won’t be able to access any criticism against Scientology.

Reported by the Daily Mail UK

Tom and Katie Cruise’s doll-like daughter Suri is to be trained in Scientology after her third birthday this week.

The Cruises are sending their daughter five days a week to the Church of Scientology’s £6,000-a-year New Village Academy in Los Angeles, launched last year by Tom’s friend, fellow actor Will Smith.

It is staffed by trained Scientologists and lists ‘study technology’ as a key curricular focus.

‘The children have a lot of responsibilities from a very young age,’ says a source.

‘The school is particularly strict about nutrition, demanding a low-carb, low-sodium and low-sugar organic diet.

‘Katie is understandably a little anxious about being separated from Suri.’

I’ll bet Katie is a little anxious! How will Suri (or Katie) get along without mom carrying her all over the place? Who will Katie and Tom use in all those photo-ops to distract from them being crazy cult followers? Questions, questions and so few answers.

Sarcasm aside, I was really rallying for Katie and Suri to get out if this dang cult, but now I am losing hope. Suri’s budding critical thinking skills will be stunted thanks to the use of L. Ron Hubbard “tech” at the New Village Academy. Suri will be made a zombie even before she even has a chance of being fully potty-trained. Not right!

Katie’s parents must be slipping away more and more from their child’s life, you just can’t help but feel sorry for them. Not only have they lost their daughter, but now their precious grand-daughter. Hopefully a disconnection is not on the horizon, but as Katie gets more indoctrinated into the cult, it seems inevitable.

While sympathy goes hand in hand for those with loved one’s in entrenched in Scientology, there are nagging questions about their complicity. One has to wonder how Katie’s parents can continually look the other way as disturbing images of their ill-looking daughter pop up all over the web and in magazines. Reports state Katie has been following a dangerous Scientology diet called the ‘purification rundown” which consists of high doses of vitamins and sauna treatments. How could her parents not step in to help? This is a sign that something is really wrong here.

And now, the life-long devout Catholics are going to allow their grandchild to attend a Scientology and say nothing?

No one really knows how much time they are given to visit with Suri. Considering the very rare sightings of Katie with her family, my guess is not too often. In fact, we haven’t seen Katie’s parents since her and Tom’s wedding over two years ago. *sigh*

So back to that Scientology school….

I was wondering how early Scientology starts kids out on their e-meter? Which is Scientology’s electropsychometer, which in non-cult speak is a rudimentary lie detector which picks up slight changes in skin temperature while a subject is being asked a series of personal (sometimes VERY personal) questions.

Scientology states the e-meter is used to audit out past traumas. But in actuality, it is used to control members by keeping records of what is said during their “auditing” sessions on file, in case they decide to leave and speak out against Scientology. (They have PLENTY of juicy tidbits on Travolta, wink wink..)

Using the e-meter is known to release endorphins due to it’s mild electric current. Endorphins are chemically very much like morphine. This is why it keeps people coming back for more, but like a drug, it’s rush is one of ever diminishing returns, leaving the subject feeling let down over time. Ask any ex-Scientologist how they felt about their time in the cult and most will say, “it was great at first, but it never delivered on any of it’s promises. Sadly, that can be a lesson learned many, many of thousands of dollars later.

In doing research on children in Scientology, I discovered kids can start auditing as early as four years old.

Hmm…I am not sure what past or current traumas a 4 year old can have, besides of course, spilled milk or they got crayon on the wall? But that’s not the point is it? The point is to indoctrinate the children early, so auditing becomes second nature.

In the book, The Scandal Of Scientology, written by Paulette Cooper, she states:

Hubbard wrote that “serious processing” should not be done before a child was five years old, “extensive Processing” except in very unusual circumstances, should not be done before he was eight, and that no child should be “forced” into the prenatal area until he was twelve.

If the child is even faintly unwilling to be audited, you can coax the child into short sessions, and then, as time goes on, lengthen them gradually. Hubbard, who has seven children, plus seven grandchildren, naturally has devised an auditing technique for kids. Children are given such simple processing as “Feel my arm. Thank you. Feel your arm. Thank you.” They are also sent back to relive their birth, and it is apparently as painful an experience for them as it is for some of the adult pre-clears, since Hubbard wrote:

If the auditor should make a slip, like telling the child that birth won’t hurt him much when he returns to it, the child will be expecting a mild or nothing at all … an auditor hasn’t known frustration until he has run a child halfway through a painful experience only to find that a happy ending has been tacked onto it.

Hubbard recommends Scientologists put teachers and students on e-meters, and give “daily mental activities” — which is what they do in Scientology.

The last is to create an environment of fear because these vicious people know everything about you, and can use it in whatever psychotic, dysfunctional, socio-pathic way they want. Especially in children, this creates the appearance of an all knowing organization that has the money and resources to keep you under lock and key forever, without ever needing a physical lock and key.

Even school is done by Scientology, public school is out. You do not get even an 8th grade education, and you learn definitions of words that are completely wrong according to the Oxford English Dictionary… redefining the meaning of words in order to further support their mind control.

Oh that is nice. That’s what every parent should look for in a school.

Monica Pignotti, Cult Intervention Specialist and former Scientologist, wrote a paper to show how mind control is used in Scientology.

She wrote about the cognitive dissonance theory, behavior control, emotional control, thought control and information control.

“The major premise of the Scientology study techniques is that there is no legitimate reason to disagree with anything written by L. Ron Hubbard. If a person on a course has a disagreement, they are immediately referred back to the materials to find what word they have “misunderstood”. Anyone who no longer wishes to continue on a course is also said to have misunderstood words that must be found and “cleared”. Thus, there is no legitimate reason, according to Scientologists to disagree or to want to leave and anyone who does is forced to internalize the blame within themselves. [Wow, that's got to do wonders for a child's self esteem.]

No verbal discussions of the course materials among students or with the supervisor is allowed. If the student has a question, all the supervisor is allowed to do is to say “What do your materials state” and to find “misunderstood words”. This gives the students no opportunity to get any feedback whether other students are experiencing the same doubts they might be experiencing themselves. The whole course environment is very tightly controlled.”

That was just a small snippet from her article which shows over time how critical thinking can vanish from a student. It’s an excellent read, and frightening on many levels.

I am sure the only ones who will know EXACTLY what is being taught at the New Village Academy, are the Scientologists on staff. The clueless parents who signed up for this “school” are doing so unaware of the long-term damage they will have inflicted on their child’s burgeoning academic future.

Do they think just because it is run by celebritities this automatically makes it great? I think a quick run-through mainstream celebrity news will prove celebs are the last group to follow in terms of smart decisions.

More importantly, why hasn’t the government stepped in to check on the teaching methods used in this and similar Scientology schools to determine whether the techniques constitute brainwashing? It is the government’s job to standardize educational requirements and protect children. Perhaps they too were also blinded by the shining glimmers of fame.

The fact the NVA continues to exist, isn’t for a lack of unanswered question on the part of government authorities, just a lack of action.

Back in May, Fox News reported, “Ron Reynolds, executive director of the California Association of Private School Organizations, a consortium of the state’s private and religious schools, said it’s not the actual teaching of Scientology methods that raises a red flag for him. His concern is the school’s non-disclosure about its apparent religious affiliation.” [Wait.... what? The teaching does not raise a red flag with him?]

Reynolds also said: “How can parents make informed choices if they have to struggle to ascertain what the purpose and philosophy of the school is” and “why the New Village Academy wasn’t more upfront about the school’s Scientology connection.” “Numerous e-mails and phone calls for comment on the school’s faculty by Smith’s representatives and NVA were not returned.”

I fail to understand why you would hide what you are. I also fail to undertand why they have such a dumbass as an executive director of California’s Association of Private Schools!

Alarmingly, as I recently reported, the Smiths have plans to build a companion high school. Great.

We wouldn’t want Suri left high and dry once she “graduates” from the New Village Academy. Cruise wouldn’t think of putting her in Delphi (another Scientology school) with other “regular” Scientology kids. Pishaw!

Besides, Cruise has to support his buddy Will and support Will he will! The cost for Suri’s enrollment at NVA will be $12,000 a year.

Now don’t worry, it’s tax deductible. Yes, it’s true, if you are a Scientologist, you can deduct your child’s school costs off your taxes! What’s even more amazing (or enraging) is Scientology is the ONLY “religion” allowed to do this! Why? You’ll have to ask the IRS!

Which is exactly what the Sklar family did. The Sklars are a Jewish couple who recently asked the courts that same question. They too wanted the right to deduct their child’s religious clases off their taxes, just like Scientology parents are able to do. But guess what? The IRS said no, and now they are entangled in a strange and drawn out legal battle with the IRS over this outrageous partnership between the IRS and the Church of Scientology.

To be fair, I don’t believe ANY religious schooling should be tax deductible, especially in this day and age, but if the IRS is going to be exclusive and award Scientology that perk, it should be across the board and made available for other religions.

Suri AND Katie’s chance of being free has now narrowed substantially. Based on thousands of Scientology cases, Katie’s disconnection from her family seems to be looming right around the corner.

So what will Katie do now that Suri will be busy getting audited, engaged in word-clearing and learning about galactic overlord aliens threatening her very existence?

According to the Daily Mail, getting knocked up with Suri #2 or as Tom seems to think, Photo Op #2:

“Katie is currently filming The Extra Man in New York but will return to Los Angeles in May to try for her second child.”

Was Suri like a puppy? Cute when she was small… but now that she is older…eh….time to produce another media distraction?

After all, who even sees Connor and Isabella, (Tom’s two adopted children with 2nd Nicole Kidman) any more? Connor who? Isabella huh?

Guess it’t time to knock boots and fire up the ol’ Scientology PR machine again. ‘Cuz if the thetans are rockin’ don’t come knockin’!

(posted by Queen, edited by D)

Update: Supposedly TomKat’s team have denied this rumor, stating the New Village Academy is for ages 4 and up and Suri will be only be 3 in a few days, therefore she is not eligible. Whatever, when have rules ever applied to Tom Cruise? He’s Maverick, he can what he wants. So, while there maybe a delay in Suri’s Scientology education, the information in this article about Scientology schools, Hubbard’s teaching tech and how children are treated in the cult remain true.

As most of you probably know by now, pop supertart Madonna wanted to adopt a little girl from Malawi to complete her set of little African adoptees. However, a judge with sense and intelligence (unlike the first one involved in David Banda’s case) chose to deny Madonna’s request.

I’m not even going to try and summarize this case…instead, I found an article at the Daily Mail which, I believe, sums up the whole case and everything that is so wrong about it in a way that I only wish I could. I’ll hit the highlights for you, but I encourage you to go read it for yourself.

The best parts:

Esme Chombo’s dramatic ruling was announced on the steps of Lilongwe’s High Court in a rainstorm shortly before 11am local time yesterday.

The law, she said in her ruling, stated that an adoption could not be permitted to anyone who was not resident in Malawi, noting that Madonna had jetted in just days prior to Monday’s hearing.

‘The issue of residence, I find, is the key upon which the question of adoption rests, and it is the very bedrock of protection that our children need; it must, therefore, not be tampered with.

‘As wisely put by G. K. Chesterton: “Don’t ever take a fence down until you know the reason why it was put up.”‘

According to one source, Madonna screamed ‘Whaaaat!’ when he told her the judge’s decision.

Key to yesterday’s judgment, said Judge Chombo, was the meaning of the word ‘residence’.

‘Residence denotes some degree of permanence. It does not necessarily mean the applicant has a settled headquarters in this country,’ said Judge Chombo, quoting previous legal precedents.

‘It seems dangerous to try to define what is meant by residence. In the present case, I can only answer that question in the case of [Madonna] by holding that she is not resident in this country; she is merely a sojourner here during a period of leave.

‘Ms Madonna may not be the only international person interested in adopting the so-called poor children of Malawi.

By removing the very safeguard that is supposed to protect our children, the courts by their pronouncements could actually facilitate trafficking of children by some unscrupulous individuals who would take advantage of the weakness of the law of the land.

‘Anyone could come to Malawi and quickly arrange for an adoption that might have grave consequences on the very children the law seeks to protect.’

To spend a week in the country under the gaze of the world’s media and then to be forced to leave without Mercy will be humiliating for a woman used to getting her own way in everything.

It was clearly also a surprise to the adoption officials who permitted the child to be taken from an orphanage near Blantyre and placed in Kumbali Lodge, the luxury hotel outside Lilongwe where Madonna is based, ready to be united with the singer when she arrived last Sunday.

For Monday’s court hearing, Madonna wore a simple black dress and low heels as part of her efforts to convince Judge Chombo that she is a modest and respectable lady.

But the people of Malawi – family oriented and with traditional values – had concerns about this newly divorced woman who until a couple of weeks ago was going out with a 22-year-old model called Jesus.

The fact that before her divorce from Guy Ritchie she was worth an estimated £300million – he is believed to have taken around £50 million as part of the settlement – did not impress them.

Neither did her divorce. According to one source, Guy’s name was originally on the adoption documents and he had planned to be Mercy’s father – but the split put paid to that.

Then there was Mercy’s family, who seem to have been pushed into something they didn’t want, saying they repeatedly refused to agree to the adoption before finally relenting under the pressure placed on by them by government officials operating on Madonna’s behalf.

Mercy’s grandmother, Lucy, went so far as to accuse Madonna of ’stealing’ the child.

A couple of days later, Malawi’s Human Rights Consultative Committee, a coalition of 85 non-governmental organisations, accused her of ‘child kidnap’ and of being a ‘bully’.

‘She has money, she has status, she is using her profile to manipulate the procedures,’ said Undule Mwakasungula, its national co-ordinator.

But then, Madonna’s arrogance has been on conspicuous display all week. Her wild extravagances in this desperately poor country are insensitive and really rather impolite.

Three days ago, for example, Madonna went to Blantyre to see the orphanage where newborn Mercy was placed following the death of her mother.

Blantyre is a three-hour drive from Lilongwe. Early Wednesday morning, a convoy of the singer’s staff set off from their luxury lodge for the scenic drive across country.

Madonna did not go with them. The 50-year-old had another important commitment that morning – her two-hour workout under the tutelage of Josh, the personal trainer she has also brought with her.

She caught up with her staff by private jet later that day. Madonna chartered a plane to fly up from South Africa to make the short return hop to Blantyre.

The cost to fly the plane to Lilongwe alone would have been around £10,000. Would the three-hour drive in her luxury Toyota landcruiser have been so onerous? Clearly it would.

Yet she remains utterly oblivious to the reality around her. She has been cocooned in a bubble of super-celebrity for 25 years and she is out of touch. Naturally, she flew by private jet from New York to Malawi.

In this of all places, her flashy behaviour is unbecoming; the opposite, in fact, of the quiet dignity of the Malawian people, many of whose priority each day is simply to find food for their families.

In the rural areas, women walk miles each day to collect water; back in the luxury lodge which she has hired out in its entirety for the week [...] Madonna, in contrast, has been enjoying a glass of two of fine claret in the evenings.

She has flown in nine bottles of Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte 2000 – priced at a very modest $90 a bottle.

On Monday, when Madonna met Yohane Banda, David’s father, reports say she was wearing a Chanel lounge-suit – £1,150 velour jacket and £850 trousers. (David’s first words to his father were: ‘Hello, who are you?’)

Does she ever pause to consider what impression she is making, whizzing around the place by private jet or in huge convoys, with her retinue of adoring staff and her tough-guy Israeli bodyguards?

While she jets between her several homes, the problems in Malawi continue to mount up. Diseases such as malaria are widespread, and more than a third of the population is estimated to have HIV or AIDS.

Madonna’s funding of new schools, health clinics and orphanages has to be for the good. But as with everything else in Madonna’s life, it’s her way or no way. For example, her insistence on inflicting Kabbalah on the people.

The majority of Malawi’s 14 million population are devout Christians. In the mid-19th century, Dr Livingstone and his missionaries brought with them the Presbyterianism that Malawians follow to this day.

But Madonna, born a Catholic, is now a follower of her own celebrity version of Kabbalah, a mystical form of Judaism. She set up Raising Malawi with Michael Berg, the son of Philip Berg, rabbi and dean of the Kabbalah Centre in America. So the thousands of children in Malawi who are attending her schools must be taught Kabbalah, too.

Raising Malawi, her charity, likes to call it ‘Spirituality For Kids’, so that no one becomes too alarmed. But it’s Kabbalah, for sure.

According to sources, Spirituality For Kids will be on the curriculum at her largest project to date – the Raising Malawi Academy For Girls.

Madonna has fallen in love with a large plot of land – common land, not owned by the government – where she plans to build her academy.

But it is already occupied, as I discovered this week.

The village of Chinkhota stands in a fertile valley a few miles outside Lilongwe. The 500 villagers work the land Madonna wants to build on and have little money.

Raising Malawi has made them a tempting offer – thousands of dollars in return for the land.

The village chief, Binson Kalenga, says he has been offered 600,000 kwachas ($4,000). That is a lot of money in these parts and almost impossible to refuse.

Other villagers have also been offered sums in return for relinquishing the land and leaving their homes

Because of the figures involved, many of them are happy to accept. But others are deeply worried.

Sources say that some, if not all, of the villagers will have to be relocated. But what is not yet clear is where they will go, or what will happen when the cash runs out.

‘In the short term, it looks great, but what is the long-term future of these people?’ asked one Lilongwe-based resident.

‘Their way of life is farming the land. Their whole lives are being uprooted.’

And just what is life like for Madonna and her family?

The children have to put up with a diet rich in grains and pulses which precludes biscuits, cakes, and almost all meat, at Madonna’s insistence.

Their organic juice is diluted with Kabbalah water, disinfectant spray is in constant use (Madonna has a horror of germs) and their toys can’t be too violent, or trashy, or plastic, or related to the cult of celebrity.

Mercy would surely have been bewildered by the army of carers and fixers who run Madonna’s household.

Her influence is such that all employees eat a macrobiotic diet, and all work out, just like Madonna.

And they perform what you might consider a mother’s tasks.

Often, a nanny takes them sledging and for walks round Central Park. A nanny delivers Lourdes to her ballet lessons, Rocco to his Judo and has taught David how to swim.

At another level are Madonna’s assistants, who are sent out to pick up anything Madam fancies - green tea ice cream or soya milk latte - whenever she wants it. Or to provide company for her.

Some of those who have worked for Madonna in the past describe her as almost comically ruthless with an obsession for tidiness and a short fuse, so perhaps we should not be surprised that she has recently lost five members of staff - including both of the nannies who were to have helped Mercy settle into the family.

According to well-placed sources, Madonna’s moods have worsened since Guy Ritchie left.

The woman who would effectively have been Mercy’s mother in this new life, was a spiky Australian named Angela Jacobsen. She has just been fired, two days after giving in her notice. After two years of service, she was given a few hours to pack her bags and clear off.

All the children were close to Angela, but she became fed up with Madonna. The singer padded around in £1,500 tracksuits contemplating her spiritual journey, while paying Angela £8 an hour.

Angela, who is 29 and from Melbourne, wrote on Facebook: ‘Not putting up (with) this s*** any more. Never have, never will. Standing up for my rights regardless of consequence. Sick of always being the one who compromises.’

Those who know the household say that although the trigger for Angela resigning was how hard she had to work, the underlying issue seems to have been jealousy.

It’s not surprising, as it was Angela who brought David from Malawi to London when he was adopted, and Angela who acted as his primary carer.

He and Rocco are said to be devastated by her leaving.

Madonna’s closest ally at home, a kindly Swedish girl named Johanna Edholm, who lived in - in London and in New York - and was like a surrogate sister to the children, has also gone.

So has Denise Furano Lambertson, a likeable party girl from California, who was Johanna’s second-in-command.

Elodie Berta, the French nanny, has left, too, after 15 months’ service. And Madonna’s driver, Alistair Mitchell, jumped ship when she split with Guy Ritchie and now works for him.

The women Madonna has lost have played a very important role in Madonna’s life over the past few years. One wonders if this state of flux counted against her application to take Mercy home.

But the person who will truly suffer is little Mercy, who is too young to know what this is all about but old enough to know that something big was going on. She was uprooted out of the orphanage she was living in and taken to reside in a luxurious hotel; now she must return to the orphanage. She had met and spent time with Madonna, her daughter Lourdes, and her sons Rocco and David (who is from the same country, even though he does not speak anything but English), with the goal of their leaving the country as a family; now she must leave them. Madonna was so convinced that this was a slam-dunk that she now has undoubtedly made a little innocent girl’s life a mixed-up mess.

If Madonna truly wanted to help the citizens of Malawi, she could have not spent a truckload of money on her own private planes, treadmills, wines, and other luxury items that most people in the country have never even dreamed of; she could have given that money to charity. Instead of trying to steal away one child to try and create her own designer family, she could have given that money to help all children in the country to have a better future. But that wouldn’t be Madonna getting her own way…and that is the most important thing to her, regardless of the cost to Mercy and her family.

Yes, the people in Malawi are suffering, but I really don’t think Madonna is the answer. I have a feeling that if their adoption laws had been stricter and more clearly defined, she never would have tried to “help” them to start with.

Our favorite little person and closet Scientologist, Jada Pinkett Smith, has been coming under fire in the last year for the controversial Scientology school she and hubby, Will “Keepin’ My Xenu On The DL” Smith, dumped almost a cool million into last fall.

To refresh your memory, this new school is called the New Village Leadership Academy for pre-k through sixth grade and is located Calabassas, CA. It’s just like any other school, except when you call to ask questions about the curriculum you are referred to the school’s PR flack, Pat Kingsley. Why yes, the same woman who USED to be Tom Cruise’s PR genius before he replaced her with his Scientologist ister LeeAnn. We all know how that worked out for him.

The NVLA has Scientology teachers on staff and appears to be “flourishing” according to Jada. Will and Jada STILL deny it is a Scientology school even though it incorporates study techniques developed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard tech. These same study tools are used by Scientologists in the paid courses they use as well as Scientology-run schools.

“Hubbard’s “study technology” is a secular course akin to a Montessori approach, the Web site states.”

Montessori approach? O’rlly?

“Children in Montessori classes learn at their own, individual pace and according to their own choice of activities from hundreds of possibilities. Learning is an exciting process of discovery, leading to concentration, motivation, self-discipline, and a love of learning.”

From the New Village Academy website: (notice how its says “LEAD THE WORLD,” sounds like Sci-speak to me!)

OUR FOUNDERS’ VISION:
NVLA will lead the world in identifying innovative learning styles and educational best practices. We are building an optimum learning environment – an ideal model to be shared with all people of the world.”

More importantly is the school’s core beliefs, which its emphasis is on COMMUNICATION.

Dianetics anyone? That has L.Ron Hubbard written all over it.

Now there are also plans for “schoolmaster” Jada (snicker) and Will to open a companion high school with the same sort of curriculum.
*Shakes head.*

Why do Will and Jada continue to think the public is completely clueless? If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks likes a duck, then it’s a Scientologist. Well, you know what we’re saying.

I can’t tell you how important it is to make sure you thoroughly look into ANY school that you are considering enrolling your child into. Just because a school is endorsed by celeb-utards,…it won’t mean a thing, if L Ron Hubbard is king!

Oh, and Jada had some words for those who don’t believe her or hubby Will aren’t Scientologists and don’t have “interesting” sex live:

“I definitely respect and understand people’s curiosity, but people, they have to trust me when I speak on my truth…If I say to you, ‘I don’t have an open marriage,’ ‘No, we’re not gay,’ and you don’t trust that, well then there’s nothing that I really have to say to anybody about anything, because at the end of the day, I’m living my life, and I’m happy.”

Personally, if people were spreading “false” rumors about my religion or sex life, I wouldn’t be respecting them for it. Sounds like a less than truthful answer. Sorry Jada, I am not buying your “truth”.

The following post was submitted to Glosslip by Number 6:

Lipstick On the Pig-Scientology’s Front Groups

The greatest trick the devil pulled off was convincing the world he didn’t exist. If the devil doesn’t exist, then no one will focus attention on him and his ugliness. And that seems to be par for the course for many cults and criminal organizations. The best PR for rotten organizations like the Church of Scientology is the set up of benevolent groups that offer services to help mankind. It’s the best way to sneak in and infiltrate all levels of society, and people should be alerted to this kind of subversive activity.

Appealing to the youth

The above video is a Public Service Announcement from the Youth For Human Rights International. Youth For Human Rights certainly seems like a good group at first glance. In an age where young people are more apathetic than ever, it’s encouraging to see youth stand up for human rights. The above PSA has a catchy beat and a very positive message, that’s a given. Why then am I including this video as an example of the devil’s age-old trick? Because this human rights group is a front group for the Church of Scientology. Its founder, Mary Shuttleworth, is a Scientologist and the organization is mostly staffed by Scientologists. Many people catch on to the fact that YHRI is a front group, but they don’t find out until it’s too late.

Many non-Scientologist youth join YHRI not knowing it is a front group for Scientology. Their good intentions to make the world a better place are misused by people who intend to push the “technology” of a raving lunatic into all levels of society. In fact, YHRI is set up to draw many young people into Scientology, which is what most Scientology front groups are designed to do.

Why the furor over Will Smith’s new private school?

Many people must be wondering why there is a lot of controversy over the New Village Academy, a school set up by actor Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett. The New Village Academy intends to employ a lot of educational approaches in this new type of school. But one stands out the most: the employment of Scientology Study Technology. That is the one thing that is controversial about Will Smith’s new school. Since this revelation came out in the media, Jacqueline Olivier, the principal of New Village Academy, and Will Smith have strongly insisted the new school is not a Scientology school. But why is Study Tech controversial?

Study tech is founded on 3 principles: Using visual images to teach concepts, breaking down complex concepts, and using the dictionaries to find the meanings for unfamiliar words. Seems reasonable enough, given that’s how children are taught in the first few grades of elementary school. But Study Tech is unavoidably tainted with Scientology related teachings, therefore raising questions about the separation of church and state. There have been numerous attempts to slip Study Tech into public schools as well, which is much worse than Will Smith’s private school employing Study Tech. Study Tech in itself is just a concept, not a front group. The relevant front group that pushes it in public schools is Applied Scholastics, which is a misnomer.

CCHR-An Industry of Fear and Paranoia

Another misnomer for a front group name is the Citizen’s Commission on Human Rights. The CCHR was established in 1969 by the Church of Scientology and non-Scientologist psychiatry critic Thomas Szasz, and since then it has been spreading lies and misinformation about psychiatry and psychology. Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard wrote of psychiatrists:

“Crimes of extortion, mayhem and murder are done daily by these men in the name of ‘practice’ and ‘treatment’. There is not one institutional psychiatrist alive who, by ordinary criminal law, could not be arraigned and convicted of extortion, mayhem and murder. Our files are full of evidence on them.”

The CCHR formed a website called PsychCrime, which tracks down crimes committed by individual mental health professionals. Granted, crimes are committed by individual psychiatrists, psychologists, and mental health professionals like any individual of any profession, but the CCHR takes their crimes and makes a mountain out of a mole hill. In 2005, the CCHR debuted its notorious Psychiatry-An Industry of Death museum exhibit, which blames psychiatry for everything from Hitler and the Holocaust to Kurt Cobain’s suicide.

The CCHR is one of the worst Scientology front groups because it uses lies and half-truths to instill paranoia not only into Scientologists, but also the general public. It is this paranoia that led to the death of Elli Perkins by her schizophrenic son Jeremy. It is also this paranoia that eventually killed Lisa McPherson, who died in the care of Scientologists who did not want her in a psychiatric ward. And the paranoia the CCHR propagates originates from a man who most experts feel was likely mentally ill himself. (Autopsy results show Hubbard had anti-psychotic drug, Visaril in his system at the time of his death.)

More focus needed

There are many other front groups that are not mentioned here, but a little search on Google will bring up a complete list of Scientology front groups, like Narconon (here’s a comprehensive list of front groups. So far the monthly Anonymous protests have dealt with the Church of Scientology’s tax-exempt status, the disconnection policy, the fair game policy, and the Church of Scientology’s elite Sea Organization. The upcoming July 12th deals with the subversive activities of OSA. Scientology’s front groups deserve lots of focus because they are the “secular” fronts of Scientology, meaning their ties with Scientology are not obvious. It is like Intelligent Design used as a deceptive name from Creationism. Each of Scientology’s front groups claims the groups have nothing to do with Scientology, and on paper, each Scientology front group is an independent entity. But more public scrutiny is needed because with these front groups, L. Ron Hubbard’s insane “tech” is fed to the public.

If the Church of Scientology’s influence is to be reduced to pussycat size, then the focus of a future protest should be its front groups.
