Does Lindsay Lohan Have A Bun In The Oven?

labor_pains_lindsay_lohan_straight_to_cable

You can file this under several categories, but I’d say B.S., Good For Laughs, and As If, are top on my list.

So word on the street, via our good friend, who’s gone Brangeloonie, Ian Halperin (at Ianundercover.com), our favorite troubled tartlet is pregnant, for now.

Here’s what Ian had to say:

IUC just learned from a close source in Lilo’s camp that the out of control actress is seven weeks preggo. “I swear she’s carrying,” the Lilo friend said. “She’s going through big emotional turmoil. She’s not sure if she’ll have it or go through with an abortion that she booked to have in the next few days. Saddest part is she has no idea who the father is. She must have slept with more than two dozen men in the past couple of months.” Please, lets send a message here loud and clear to Lilo what to do. IUC encourages her to have the child. What are your thoughts?

What are my thoughts you ask? BITCH PUHHHLEEEEESE! Now, granted, there is no doubt in my mind that Lindsay’s uterus has been used as punching bag WAY too many times, by WAY too many guys, that however does not mean we are going to see a pregnant Lindsay Lohan anytime soon. It’s not like this her first time on the Planned Parenthood line. I’m not judging, just saying.

Lindsay was spotted a few years back with pregnancy tests in hand while she was in the hospital for “asthma-related” illnesses. So, Lindsay knows the drill I am afraid. I don’t mean to sound harsh, but starlets, unlike say inner city youths and teen girls in Alaska, have access to the necessary tools needed to prevent this sort of thing, and the way Lindsay gets around, you’d think even SHE’D be smart enough to apply some common sense.

I vote this a NO, but then again, it’s not like we’ll ever really know, will we Lindsay. *wink, wink*

And unlike Ian, I DON’T encourage Lindsay to have a baby. I’d go so far as to say Lindsay shouldn’t own a dog, or a fish. Houseplants might even be too risky. Lindsay’s womb would need ten years of detoxing before it was hospitable enough to carry life, let alone her trainwrecked ass caring for a tiny newborn.

I shudder for all humanity if this is true.

IanUnderCover Hosts Live Chat With Famed Gossip Columnist Ted Casablanca – Join Us!

When I was a wee little lass and considered becoming a famous, ahem, celeb blogger, I would read all the gossip rags fervently, but one of my favorite guilty pleasures was the “Blind Item” pieces. It was always a fun challenge to try and figure out which celebrity knucklehead was caught doing something naughty. Like the sort of like NYT’scrossword puzzle, but for gossip sluts like me.

293casablancated061308Well, there is one king among the “blind item” writers ruling the land and that’s Ted Casablanca (E! Online’s, The Awful Truth. Ted’s snarky, snide, quippy and most importantly, he knows lots of dirty secrets of Hollywood.

Glosslip was lucky enough to be invited by our cohort and fellow blogger Ian Halperin to join him tonight, at 8:00pm EST for his LiveChat feature, at Ianundercover.com to talk to Ted, who will be a guest.

To join us for tonight’s chat, click here.

You can be sure I will be asking many a question about Scientology and Brangelina!

Hope to see you there!

Michael Jackson Challenged To Prove He’s Not Dying Of Lung Disease

mjwheelchair1
NYT bestselling author and celeb biographer and blogger, Ian Halperin has issued a challenge to beleaguered pop idol Michael Jackson to prove he is NOT dying of deadly lung disease. As was reported in several news outlets over the last few weeks, Jackson was said to be suffering from a “rare genetic condition called Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency” and would die within 6 months if he didn’t receive a lung transplant. In addition, Halperin, who has written a book on the troubled star, states that Jackson is most at risk from “chronic gastrointestinal bleeding” and has lost vision in one eye.

Of course, Jackson’s camp and his “official one and only spokeperson”, a Dr. Tohme Tohme (seriously?) have emphatically denied these claims as “a total fabrication” and claim that in fact, Jackson is great health and pursuing many lucrative and fancy business deal.

The National Enquirer (hey don’t laugh, they’ve gotten some big stories right lately) is also corroborating Jackson illness, and cite painkillers as a source of much of Jackson physical deterioration over the years:

A source close to the star divulged: “It’s tragic. His condition is just so far gone, I’d be surprised if he lasts six months.

“Painkillers and booze have caught up with him. The only way he was able to cope with the stress of sex scandals and his roller-coaster life was to mask the pain with substance abuse.

“But the end result is an addiction that will kill him.”

Halperin, with his reputation and book on the line, isn’t backing down and is willing to stand by his story, and like the old saying goes, he’s putting his money where his mouth is.

Insiders close to the author have told Glosslip that Ian’s team have sent word to Michael Jackson that they are willing to pay the full expense of flying Jackson to one of the leading lung clinics in the world — The Cleveland Clinic (or any of the other top-notch clinics of Jackson’s choosing) and pay for a full medical examination of the ailing star. From Halperin’s perspective, this would clear up any misinformation and if the author is wrong, and Jackson IS healthy, Halperin will hold a press conference and tell the world he was wrong and retract his statement. Our insiders said Ian is hoping he is wrong, as he wishes the star nothing but good health.

We await word on the outcome of this challenge. One final caveat to this mystery of he said/he said, is why Jackson’s own spokesperson claimed Jackson was too ill to travel to Bahrain and testify in the lawsuit pending against him, and why has he been photographed several times wheelchair bound and wearing a surgical mask?

Clearly, something isn’t right.

Glosslip Gears Up For BlogWorldExpo, And Hosting Film “His Highness Hollywood” With Ian Halperin

It’s hard to believe another year has passed and we are about to embark on the 2nd Annual Blogworld and New Media Expo. Last year I was responsible for setting up the booth and doing on the slugwork for Blogcritics’ first foray into the convention arena. We had a tremendous time and our booth was one of the best. We gave away cd’s, books and great swag and had what many considered the busiest booth at the expo, despite being a small company.

This year’s expo will blow last years away, as Glosslip’s been invited to host the film screening of His Highness Hollywood, a hilarious documentary from the NYT’s best-selling author and now BLOGGER, Ian Halperin. Seriously, if you want the inside gossip, visit Ian’s new blog, www.IanUnderCover.com for the straight scoop.

Ian and I met last January when I began writing about the Church of Scientology. Ian’s book, Hollywood Undercover, explores the seedy world of Hollywood, with Ian posing as a gay member of the Israeli royalty who tries to make it big as an actor. Ian was kind enough to invite me to the film’s premiere in New York, and for this mid-west mom, that was a thrill of a lifetime. Not only did I get to experience a real film premiere, but I also met tons of great people, including multi-bestselling NYT’s author Andrew Morton. Even weirder, I was in the midst of cult-like sabotage which may or may not have been orchestrated by the Church of Scientology. For full coverage on the CoS, Andrew Morton and Ian Halperin, check it here.

Ian’s film is a cinematic version of the book, and we get to watch his process of creating the truly funny, but ultimately insightful view of what goes on behind the facade of Hollywood’s glamor, Morton aptly describes Ian’s film as a “Borat with substance.” Spot on.

BlogworldExpo’s opening day’s events (Saturday, Sept. 20) will include Ian presenting his film to the blogging media elite with a Q & A, including a party at the conclusion of the film. Glosslip’s Dawn Olsen will be MC-ing and that can only lead to hijinks!. Check out the flier for the film screening above if you are planning on attending the Expo. Entertainment, beer and popcorn. What more could you want besides meeting Ian in person? OH WAIT, we have that too!

BlogWorldExpo and Glosslip.com Present The Film “His Highness Hollywood”

Glosslip is thrilled to announce that NYT bestselling author and filmmaker Ian Halperin will present his film, His Highness Hollywood, at BlogWorldExpo on Saturday, September 20, at 5:00pm at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Glosslip.com (a network site of Blogcritics.org) has partnered with BlogWorldExpo to screen the film during the 2nd annual BlogWorld and New Media Expo – Sept 20 – 21 in Las Vegas, NV. Click here for more information.

Regular readers of this site are familiar with author Ian Halperin as the renegade journalist who goes undercover to expose the sides rarely seen in the world of entertainment. After gaining praise and fame for his groundbreaking book on the death of Kurt Cobain, Ian has won journalism awards for his work, which includes behind the scenes looks at celebrities like Celine Dion, James Taylor and the shallow world of supermodels to name a few.

Ian’s latest project, Hollywood Undercover, gives a revealing look at the often sordid world of Hollywood and the path to stardom. Not only did Ian infiltrate the movie-industry, but he helped expose the secretive cult behind the religion to the stars, Scientology. It is at these crossroads Glosslip and Halperin met.

In the world’s first YouTube compatible book, Ian’s details his journey in Hollywood in a documentary titled His Highness Hollywood named after the character he assumed while writing the book. “His Highness Hollywood” is Ian posing as a gay member of the Israeli royalty who seeks his fame in the fickle world of film-acting. The film’s premiere in itself was legendary (read here for a our first-hand account from the National Arts Club in NY) with sabotage, hi-jinks and hilarity at every turn.

Ian, who has another book coming out in November about Britney Spears, is really excited to be able to present this film to bloggers at the BlogWorldExpo, and will be on hand to discuss the film, including a reception and a question and answer period after the film’s screening. Glosslip’s Dawn Olsen will be running the Q & A at the screening and those in attendance should stop by the Blogcritics/Technorati booth to get their invitation to the film.

Want to know what Ian Halperin is up to? READ HIS BRAND NEW BLOG, IanUnderCover.com. Ian promises an explosive exclusive story in the next week or so which he said is going to rock people’s world. When we pressed Halperin, all he’d say is it intersects politics and celebrity. Hmm…..that could mean ANYTHING these days.

In Touch Weekly To Reveal Behind The Scenes Look At New Britney Tell-All By Ian Halperin

As Glosslip reported a while back, NYT bestselling author Ian Halperin has a new book coming out in November on Britney Spears, Stalking Britney Spears: Britney Under Siege.

While doing work for his book, Hollywood Undercover (check here for Glosslip’s coverage on Halperin), Ian made a side-project of posing as a member of the paparazzi and followed the moves of the fallen pop-wreck Britney Spears. Ian, whose expertise is going undercover to expose the seedier elements of the entertainment industry, saw the media-swarm surrounding Britney during her legendary fall from grace and wisely took an opportunity to give the consumptive masses an inside look into one of the most sought-after and stalked celebrities.

He’s told Glosslip, rather than the book preying on the failures and missteps of the blonde bombshell (including 3 rehab stints, loss of custody of her two young children, a messy divorce, mental breakdown, and disastrous attempts at a comeback) his portrayal of Spears is sympathetic, as he saw her in her most vulnerable moments. The book is sure to be chockful of revealing details about the users in Britney’s life (ahem…Sam Lufti) and what role they had in her downward spiral into mental illness.

Here are some excerpts from In Touch’s latest piece hitting newsstands today:

On Britney’s death wish:

Britney’s representative denies she ever tried to take her own life and dismisses Halperin’s claims. After months of binge drinking and drug abuse, Halperin reports in his book that the despondent star ” took a large quantity of champagne and pills” at LA’s Penisula Hotel in January of 2007. “It was rumored Britney left a note. But a friend rushed the singer to the hospital in time and she later tore up her own note.”

On Britney’s troubled childhood:

He (Halperin) learned of much about the singer’s difficult childhood – and her tragic history of unchecked psychological issues. “She was suspected of being bipolar at 9, but her parents turned a blind eye to it and let it ride. They though they’d just encourage her artistic endeavors as a way to make her a normal child.

On her road to recovery:

Today, Britney is on medication, but Halperin believes she’s far from recovered. “There’s no doubt based on the last two years that she is a highly unstable person. She’s on a temporary high right now, but she’s never really dealt with all the problems she had. I don’t think it’s possible to turn over a new leaf just like that.”

Outlook on Britney:

As far a Halperin is concerned, Britney deserves to get better – and a lead a happy life. She’s a “good mother and a good person. In fact, she’s nicer than most of the stars I’ve met.”

The article is very comprehensive and give us a lot more than what we’ve heard in the way of mere rumors and conjecture. Glosslip tried to reach Halperin for a comment on this story, but the author has not gotten back to us.

Author Halperin Takes Geraldo By Storm, Told To Lose Hat

As Glosslip exclusively reported to you this weekend, award-winning journalist and best-selling author Ian Halperin appeared on Fox’s “Geraldo-At-Large” TV program Sunday night. We watched it, and suffered through the many gratuitous build-ups during the show, only to have to wait until the last 15 minutes to catch the main event. That Geraldo is tricky!

Ian, who has taken on a new persona (and a hat almost as tacky as his neon green disco shirt for his Hollywood Undercover expose) was smart, quick and pointed in his interview with Geraldo. Halperin posed as a member of the pack of paparazzi who stalk mega-star Britney Spears on a regular basis and was able to infiltrate her inner circle during his time undercover, is now revealing intimate details about Spears’ two suicide attempts and illicit drug use.

But wait, there’s more…
