The cyber-based group calling themselves “Anonymous/Legion” have announced their next wave of protests against the Church of Scientology will be February 10. They released a new video in connection with a post on this site.

Yesterday, Gawker posted a letter they received via a tipster they allege came from actress (”King of Queens”) and outspoken Scientologist, Leah Rimini.

Gawker described the email as “crazy”. I suppose that depends on your perspective. To the outsider (anyone not a member of the Church) Leah’s letter may seem like incoherent mumbo jumbo. But to anyone savvy in the ways of Scientology there is much that can be deciphered within the message. While we can’t state for sure this letter was indeed written by Leah, the jargon, tone and semantics are ALL Scientology. You better go get a cup of coffee, this is a long letter.

But wait, there’s more…

Last night’s Glosslip Radio show with author Ian Halperin was an incredibly powerful and explosive look at the deception and danger which lurks within Hollywood’s most influential organization, The Church of Scientology.

Not only did we get a first-hand account of what Ian witnessed as widespread anti-gay and racist views held by members of the church (not surprisingly really, COS founder L. Ron Hubbard was a notorious racist and bigot), but we were treated to a surprise and fascinating caller, famous anti-COS defector Arnie Lerma.

What unfolded was the interviewee becoming the interviewer, as Ian discovered a kindred, yet more grizzled spirit in Arnie. Both having been subjected to the mind-control tricks and neo-psychology con of the COS, they were able to compare notes, experiences and ultimately a shared relief that they, unlike so many, escaped with their lives and sanity in tact.

Think I am being over-the-top? I just spoke with Arnie Lerma for two hours and the things he shared with me about the Church of Scientology would curl your toes. Fortunately, Arnie was able to tape the interview and I will be doing a mini-series on this subject.

Because of the nature of this information and the secretiveness of the COS organization, I will have to take some time to dig around and track down sources and gather intelligence before going forward with my findings. Rest assured, I am impassioned with the desire to seek the truth about how the Church has deceived it’s members, deceived the public, made billions through sophisticated cons — and ultimately superimposed its will onto the American subconscious right under our very noses — while using the sacred First Amendment to cover up its misdeeds.

One last thing, let us be cautious in jumping to conclusions about the group who call themselves “Anonymous/Legion.” While it is too early to tell their ultimate intentions, we may all end up appreciating their courage to take on an organization which has more than one person’s blood on its hands.

One man’s fascism may merely be another man’s religion.

I admit, I am a bit of a “paranoid.” On the surface, as we skim and meander through our mundane world, picking up groceries, getting our morning coffee, dropping our kids off at school, there exists subversive elements who carry out their own agenda hidden from our oblivious gaze.

Whether that agenda is one person’s desire to cause malevolence against another, or a group’s efforts to pervert justice - I know these people exist and it’s my job to avoid them. But, I also am driven by my deep-seated desire to seek out the truth, the knowledge of the what, where, when and how and most importantly - why.

I sent Ian a couple of emails a few days ago and heard nothing until this morning. After finally getting in touch with me, Ian informed me what was going on and why he was incommunicado

just got it - I’ll be calling you from a remote location. big new - i received several threats and I’m in hiding till it all dies down. A day after i went into hiding Andrew Morton also went in hiding. My story all started on Thursday night when I was almost run over by a taxi cab when a camera crew approached me coming into my building. Then, I received two threatening phone calls - my lawyer advised me to skidaddle for a while until it all calms down.

Ian updated me shortly there after with this response:

here’s the latest. Morton apparently is not in hiding - several people sent me messages and links about rumours of him going into hiding. As for myself, I’m just laying low until this all dies down. I can’t prove that Scientology made those threats against me. It could have been some freak.

Ian fully admits this could have been a prank, someone playing on the media’s reports of the intimidation tactics the COS have used in the past to quiet those who’ve threatened to expose their inner world. I know from my perspective, I received a rather cryptic email a couple of weeks ago when I first reported on the Andrew Morton Tom Cruise/COS expose, from a local representative of the COS which ultimately suggested they stop by my house and give me some info on the COS.

My response was one of both paranoia (they knew where I lived and what I’d written about COS in the past) and curiosity. I will be honest, they were very friendly and good-natured and tried to assuage me of any concern I had, explaining point by point how they had kept tabs on me and my husband’s COS coverage of the years and merely wanted to give us information on the rich history of Scientology. Nothing threatening, but I must admit, I found it vaguely eerie how aware they were of my comings and goings.

When searching for some corroborating data to Ian’s assertions, I found Defamer’s post on the subject on Friday, and I discovered the exact same thing had happened to author Andrew Morton when his book was on the verge of being published here. Those stories can be found here.

I have seen several websites devoted to exposing the corruption and illegal activities of the Church of Scientology. Too many to list. Just Google, Scientology, scare tactics and see for yourself. Above is an over-the-top, but frightening account of how dangerous the Church may be. I have no proof any of what is alleged in the video is true, but the saying of “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” may be prophetic in this case.

Above is a Christmas family portrait of presidential candidate Republican Mike Huckabee. I don’t typically make fun of people just for being fat, but I will make fun of them for being total assplows. Having said that, Mike Huckabee and his big, fat and seemingly “special needs” son in the middle there are both total assplows.

Maybe you weren’t aware of Mike Huckabee and his bid to drive this country into the stone ages prior to the Iowa Caucuses? Well don’t feel bad. In a perfect world, Mike Huckabee would have remained hidden in his world of bigotry and hatred and leave us normal people alone. But, since we are in the midst of a presidential campaign all sorts of creepy crawlies are coming out of the floorboards, and it is our personal duty to do the Mexican hat dance and squash their skittering asses.

Perez Hilton has done his part to expose this filthy gutter-dweller for what he is, and since the mainstream media refuses to do their part now, I guess it’s up to us “bloggers” to do the dirty work.

By now, anyone who follows celebrity news is aware Kanye West’s mother, Dr. Donda West, passed away this weekend from what appears to be post-surgery complications. Dr. West is said to have undergone liposuction surgery and breast reduction surgery, though the exact extent of surgeries has not been confirmed at this time.

What we do know is this: paramedics were called to the home of Dr. West on Saturday evening for what is being categorized as a “sick person” call. Sadly, paramedics were unable to revive her and West died that evening. Autopsy results are pending.

According to various reports at TMZ, Donda West had approached another plastic surgeon about performing this surgery on her in recent weeks, but was rejected over concerns he had about existing conditions. Clearly, this didn’t stop Dr. Jan Adams who DID perform the surgery and has quite a history of negative and damning legal complications on his medical record, as well as a DUI from 2006, and a medical claim that asserts he not only botched a surgery (he’s been hit with SEVERAL malpractice suits) but also sexually assaulted and impregnated one of his patients.

Seriously, this guy sounds like a death waiting to happen. Let’s take a look:

1 Sexual Assault charge (settled out of court)

There are other charges which state Dr. Adams did not reveal ongoing or previous malpractice suits in his medical past and that’s part of one the suits against him. This man has no moral fiber of which I can detect and instead of showing some sense of remorse for the death of a patient in his care, he is deflected and defending himself against what he’s called a “sleaze” campaign by the doctor who REFUSED to perform the surgery originally on Dr. West. Which if you think about it fitting, because Dr. Adams is all sorts of sleazy. TMZ spoke with Dr. Adams:

Dr. Adams told TMZ her death, which followed a tummy tuck and breast reduction, was unforeseen and could have been caused by a heart attack, pulmonary embolism, or massive vomiting.

Dr. Adams tells us West consulted with him over a period of four months. He says she changed her mind numerous times, sometimes greenlighting the surgery and sometimes halting it.

As for the TMZ report that Beverly Hills doctor Andre Aboolian refused to conduct the surgery because of a medical condition that West had, Dr. Adams said of Dr. Aboolian, “He is sleazy and manipulating the truth to elevate his own importance.”

Dr. Adams says he did nothing wrong.

Yes, well even if he didn’t directly “DO” something to cause her death, he clearly ignored some pretty major health issues in West’s medical history. Which brings me to my most relevant concern, why are people so willing to go under the knife for elective surgery which may pose a serious threat to their health? Dr. West was an accomplished educator, author and manager for her son’s extremely successful career. Why would she risk all of that at age 58 just to have a smaller tummy and less voluminous breasts? There is no one answer, but I blame Hollywood and its facade of perfection. The pressure to be “perfect” coupled with unscrupulous doctors who are willing to prey on, and foster this sense of extreme insecurity are at fault.

What happened to exercise, healthy habits and focusing on what’s inside to improve your outward appearance and inward attitude? Society has given the impression that there is a quick fix for everything, and most often, there isn’t. Anything worth having will require hard work, dedication and a positive attitude - not elective, dangerous surgery performed by a doctor who cares little about the patient themselves.

My heart goes out to Kanye and his family. Surely he must not have been aware of the gravity of his mother’s situation and condition, or he would have stepped in and told her how beautiful she was and how proud he was of her just the way she is.

 

Divorce and child custody proceedings are fun for no one, but the outcome is always interesting and often telling.  Typically, the court will go to exhaustive lengths to determine who the children would benefit from spending the majority of their time with.  In most cases that is the mother, in some cases (best possible scenarios) there’s joint custody granted and in the rare cases primary custody is granted to the father. 

While I may be generalizing a bit here, if the mom is NOT granted primary custody, then something ain’t right with mom.  It’s quite likely that “mom” is incapable of taking care of a house plant much less a child.  So, the fact that Anne Heche’s ex-husband Coley Laffoon, a videographer and the guy Anne hooked up with after leaving her lesbian lover Ellen Degeneres, has been awarded primary custody of their 5-year-old son Homer, would imply Anne is a full on whackadoodle.

Anne didn’t just lose primary custody, she has been ordered to pay child support and was only granted visitation rights on alternate weekends.  Dayum!!  The court heard testimony from both parties with Lafoon claiming that Heche showed “poor parenting skills” and exhibited “bizarre and delusional behavior,” Heche, in response stated that her husband spent his time watching porn and gambling instead of looking after their child. 

It would seem being ”crazy” trumped being a “porn watcher” in the final analysis. Which, if you think about it, was a wise choice as crazy has the factor of “unpredictability,” where as, watching porn and gambling are basically national pasttimes.

Anne, who has a crazy rap sheet a mile long, left her husband after 5 years of marriage for new boyfriend, James Tupper.  Tupper co-stars with Anne “Looney-Tune” Heche on the show Men In Trees, which I know nothing about because I don’t watch it and the title is stupid.

Here’s some of Anne’s greatest hits on her way to the Funny Farm Hall of Fame:

• Claims to be the sister of Jesus and the daughter of G*d
• Was found walking naked in the desert
• Refuses to stick with one sexual orientation leaving her ex-lovers (Steve Martin, Ellen Degeneres, Lindsay Buckingham and Ellen Degeneres all very bewildered and probably with herpes which she claims her father gave her after molesting her as a child).
• Wrote a book “Call Me Crazy” as if she needed to encourage anyone.   

I am sure there are more noteworthy events, so feel free to add your own.  Oh and hooking up with married men (James Tupper you listening?) pisses me off so there you have it.

Actor Jon Voight told the “No Spin Zone” host Bill O’Reilly that he is fascinated by his daughter Angelina Jolie.

This should come as no surprise considering the two have been estranged since 2002 when Voight made unfavorable remarks about Jolie in an interview suggesting she had “serious mental issues.”

Despite having given birth to her biological daughter Shiloh with partner Brad Pitt, adopting three children and losing her mother to cancer earlier this year, Angelina has continued to keep her father at arms lengths. Perhaps this fascination stems from the alienation, or it could be that Voight, like the rest of the world, just can’t seem to figure the gorgeous actress out.

Angelina, an Oscar-winning actress, is extremely famous for two reasons: her humanitarian work and her home-wrecker status. These two symbolic actions don’t co-exist favorably. Whether she and her partner of two years, Brad Pitt, want to admit it or not, it’s clear they forged an unmistakable bond while Brad was still married to actress Jennifer Aniston. It doesn’t matter when they consummated the act (something they both allege happened after he was separated from his wife) or before - a high profile marriage of two extremely likable celebrities was left in shambles. Symbolically it divided people into two camps. Pro-Angelina vs. Pro-Jennifer.

Then, almost miraculously and with strange coincidence, Angelina embarked on a crusade to bring awareness of the plights of the poor and down-trodden, most especially children, to the eye of world. Truly noble and kind-hearted. Almost the only possible next move of someone wanting to overhaul their image of temptress to saint. I’m not judging, I’m just saying is all.

I applaud her efforts to help children, few things are more important. But I also value the importance of honesty and staying true to your dignity. Breaking up a marriage is NOT cool any way you slice it. Shame on Brad most of all.

So back to Bill O’Reilly and Jon Voight’s fascination.

Here’s what they had to say:

Bill O’Reilly: “Now, your daughter, Angelina Jolie. You know, we checked her out. I don’t know whether you know this or not. Big investigation on her. And we found out she walks the walk, that she gives all the money, millions of dollars and this and that. She has become, I believe, the most interesting celebrity in the world. In your opinion, why?”

John Voigt: “Yes, she is fascinating. She’s fascinating to me. She’s my daughter. I’m completely fascinated with her. And I have a great admiration for all the work she does and in her humanitarian effort. I think she’s quite stunning, of course. Very attractive gal. And she, for whatever reason, she has a certain charisma.”

O’Reilly agreed, “In the acting — in the acting profession, you’ve known them all. Some people have charisma and some don’t. She obviously has it.”

Can’t disagree, Jolie is both charismatic and fascinating.

But then again, so is Tom Cruise.

 

I cannot,and I repeat NOT, emphasize enough how much young Hollywood resembles junior high.  If it weren’t so incredibly pathetic and deeply sad, it would be hilarious.

It seems that a hacker got into the MySpace account for Lindsay Lohan and had access to pictures, old messages and email exchanges between Lindsay,  Shanna Moakler, Paris Hilton and Stavros Niarchos.  Just Jared has the released screen shots, and it seems that ONTD broke the story yesterday (and doesn’t appreciate people not crediting them, thank you very much!).  JJ says there are more to come, stay tuned.  I can’t freaking wait.

There are some rather boring, but telling exchanges between Lindsay and Shanna Moakler which seemed to be taking place at the time when Shanna’s estranged husband, Travis Barker and she, were attempting to repair their relationship.  But the gem in the tiara of bitchiness was the exchange between Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan about blogger Perez Hilton and his clearly biased relationship with the heiress-turned-professional celebrity.
