Tom Cruise and Oprah Rematch Part 1, or When Wealthy Folks Visit Each Other

So here it is sweeties. Your play by play of Friday’s Oprah Interview with Tom Cruise. I should state for the record that in general, I tend to be sympathetic of Oprah. She’s not perfect and she has, I think, lousy taste in reading material, but I’ve always liked her and she reminds me of my stepmother, so I tend to cut her slack. However, she managed to break the bonds of my patience this time, although she had the help of Mr. Cruise.

From the start of the interview it was like some nightmarish Robin Leach “When Wealthy Folk Visit Each Other”. Both Katie and Tom were on hand to welcome The Oprah and guide her in to “the mudroom”, where Chez Cruise had provided Oprah with her own brass plated cubby with her own monogrammed slippers to wear around the house. “Let me know if these aren’t comfortable,” says Tom. “I can always get you something else,” which somehow brings to mind a sweatshop in back full of pre-clears busily sewing Oprah labels on the back of an infinite number of slippers. Katie gives her totally authentic sounding contractually obligated “I love you” before leaving to “take the kids into town”.

Others have commented on Oprah’s somewhat tacky obsession, possibly even mania, with money and expensive things. Girlfriend is always bringing up the Benjamins, and not necessarily to her credit. Anyone remember the time she interviewed Anderson Cooper, whose old money mom Gloria Vanderbilt was in the audience, and she started going on about how she’s always impressed by people who don’t have to work who do make something of themselves? You could just see that Cooper was so appalled and mortified. It was a car crash of old money and the nouveau riche.

I’m afraid this unseemly aspect of her personality was in full force. First, she walks in to the huge spotless multi-jillion dollar kitchen which is possibly bigger than the average person’s home and says “It’s just SO NORMAL and kitchen like!” and then proceeds to compliment the wood paneled refrigerator. Show of hands of everyone out there with their fridge paneled to match the rest of their solid oak kitchen. Later, when Tom is showing her all his scripts, which he’s had leather bound, she becomes almost apoplectic over how much he could get for these on eBay, which she insists on repeating multiple times. It was not attractive.

Possibly my favorite moment of “When Wealthy Folk Visit Each Other” comes after visiting the gym, the toy wing, the spotless kitchen and then the dining room, Oprah tells Tom why she loves his home, and this is a direct quote: “[it’s] so earthy and so simple…Oh! There’s the photo that Annie Liebowitz did [of TomKat & Suri for Vanity Fair]”. Uh, yeah. I’m not going to ask for a show of hands for how many of you have an Annie Liebowitz portrait of yourselves on your earthy, simple dining room wall.

Lots of other sites offer a play by play of “the Interview” that follows. Oprah does bring up the “tough” questions, though you get the sense that Tom had received a list of them weeks before hand. As I watched the interview, I realized something about the way Cruise handles interviews which I’ve never witnessed so clearly before. Cruise has two ways of answering questions. Well, technically three.

One is to recite a very carefully rehearsed anecdote which has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Hence we get him telling the (highly suspicious) sounding story of how he himself carefully waxed the floor so his socks would slide for that shot in Risky Business, and later the oh so cute story about how he dressed up like Santa but his genius daughter Suri saw through his sham immediately.

The second similar way he has of answering questions is to repeat a carefully rehearsed sound bite. Thus he repeatedly said in answer to the Oprah Q&A about Brooke Shields “It came out wrong” and “It should be up to the parents”. Since we’re talking about Tom accusing Brooke of ruining her career by taking anti-depressants, and no one said a darn thing about giving drugs to kids, it sounded really weird.

The third way he had of answering questions is to simply repeat the question he’s just been asked in the form of a statement. “Were you surprised?” “Oh…yeah…I was totally…you know…surprised….absolutely surprised.” “Were you prepared [for the crazy fame that followed Risky Business]? I mean, how could you be?” “Oh, no, no, of course not….how could anyone be…prepared” God, I wanted to slap him myself through the TV, and though I haven’t been giving Oprah credit for much in this dog and pony show, I do give her credit for not smacking him.

He declined to say anything substantive about Scientology except “I think it’s best for people to read about it for themselves,” and then quickly reassured the world that respect for other religions is an absolute tenant of faith for Scientology, and OF COURSE he believes in God. I was particularly interested in how he handled Oprah’s questions about whether he was preventing Nicole from having access to the children. He described their relationship as “good, easy”, and “we share custody, that’s what we do.” Then, in case we didn’t get that, he said again that they “share custody, whenever”. So, whenever what? Whenever Nicole makes up her mind to move back to LA and stops behaving like a Suppressive Person?

Honestly, it’s hard to tell sometimes if Cruise is a lousy liar or just a lousy interview. Perhaps it’s the same difference. I have no doubt that he’ll be totally controlled and perfect for Monday’s chapter in front of a live audience, especially since the whole point of the show is to laud him for a movie which most people barely remember from twenty five years ago. Yay! Let’s pretend we all care! Yay!

I don’t think I can bear to watch it. Best of luck to you if you manage!!

Leader of Church of Scientology, David Miscavige, Physically Abused Staff For Years

Glosslip’s interview with ex-Scientologist Marc Headley in many ways was more of a blow to the Church of Scientology, than ABC’s light coverage of CoS victims Jenna Miscavige (niece of Scientology leader David Miscavige) and actor Jason Beghe’s powerful Scientology video with Mark Bunker of Xenutv.com.

Thanks to the exceedingly gracious efforts of Anonymous, we are able to bring you transcribed information from that interview, so that our hearing impaired, or dial-up users can be privy to this illuminating, yet disturbing details about the Church of Scientology’s inner workings. Marc Headley is not only an amazingly articulate person, he’s also very brave for stepping forward to share this information from deep inside the Church. As Executive Producer at Golden Era Production, the production company owned by Scientology, Headley worked closely with RTC President and CoS figurehead, David Miscavige.

When you read this transcribed interview I ask that you bear in mind, this man, David Miscavige, is a role model to Scientologists around the globe, he is the head of an organization which deems itself as the spiritual salvation for mankind. Please try to imagine any other spiritual leader in this role, and truthfully ask yourself if this conduct is befitting of such an honor:

DO: Good afternoon Glosslip radio listeners, I am Dawn Olsen of glosslip.com, and I am very excited to have a very special guest with me today. It’s Marc Headley, an ex-Scientologist who was with the Church of Scientology for 15 years. He’s got some really very interesting, exciting and sad stories to share with us about his experiences within the Org. He and I talked a few times before while we were setting up the interview, and certainly I’m well aware of the stories he has to tell, so I’m just going to give you a little background here from his bio.

Marc worked at the Scientology international management headquarters in Gilman Hot Springs
from 1990-2005, and he worked for the media production company owned by the Church of
Scientology, Golden Era productions. They’re the ones that put out all those Scientology
commercials and propaganda videos we’ve seen and mocked on the web over the last few months.

Having worked there for quite some time, he ended up becoming the Executive Producer at
Golden Era Productions. He left in 2005 and now lives in California with his family. We’re going to
leave it at that because why he left is very pertinent to this story. First we’re going to begin with
introducing Marc. Hello Marc, thanks for joining us, I’m really excited to have you.

MH: Hi Dawn, great to be here.

DO: And you’re recovering from a cold, so everybody…

MH: Just a little bit hoarse.

DO: Just a little bit hoarse. We’ll try and not make you talk too much. I’m just curious, can you tell us how you became involved in Scientology? I know you still have family members who are in, so let’s go with your background first.

MH: What actually happened was my mother, probably in the very early 80’s, got involved in Scientology through a friend.

More and more, she became involved in doing courses and getting auditing. I grew up living
across the street from the Celebrity Center in Los Angeles. So I grew up around Scientologists,
then my mom became a Scientologist and I went to a Scientology school. So from about the age of
six or seven I was indoctrinated into the lingo and the procedures, and all the different things that
Scientologists do. In 1989, I left school, the Scientology school that I was attending, to join the Sea
Organization.

Very shortly from when I joined the Sea Org, I was transferred from Los Angeles to the
Golden Era productions facility, so that’s how I got in. When you grow up in Scientology, the Sea
Org is made out to be the elite of all Scientology so if you can actually go into the Sea Org, it’s
considered a privilege. They have a slogan: “Many are called, few are chosen.” And that’s how they
recruit people.

DO: So, they make it sound like a very elite society, and not everyone, you may be interested but not everyone gets to join, therefore increasing the image of the Sea Org?

MH: That’s exactly correct. You don’t really see when you’re Scientology public, if you’re a parishioner, behind the scenes into the Sea Org. You only see the staff that work at the different churches. A parishioner might never go into a management facility or a confidential location such as Golden Era Productions. They’re not really privy to the goings on there, its very mysterious.
Even when I joined the Sea Org in 1989, I was not aware that there was a facility, even a secret
facility that was up in Hemet. I had no idea, even after I was in the Sea Org for many months. I had
never heard it until I was asked if I would like to go there. So I said “Sure, what it it?”, I didn’t even
know.

I didn’t know who David Miscavige was, I didn’t know who any of the current leaders of
Scientology were, nothing. I had no knowledge of them whatsoever, that’s the view of a kid
growing up in it. So that’s how I ended up at Golden Era Productions.

DO: Now, when you and I talked, I shared with you some experiences that Jeff Hawkins and I talked about. Do you know Jeff?

MH: Yeah, I know Jeff.

DO: I assumed you would have, but there’s a lot of people who’ve come and gone over the years so I shouldn’t assume that people know each other. But he worked with David Miscavige doing marketing, that type of stuff, I figured you could have run into each other. He told a very disturbing story about David actually abusing his staff members and specifically Jeff, he himself was abused.

And he saw a senior Org member get beaten, it was like an open-handed slap to the face
several times. That was David’s way of intimidating staff into doing what he wants and he’s a very
angry man. But you also have some more stories and I’d like you to share that with us, I think it’s
very important because we’re trying to build a picture about a man we don’t know that much about,
you have a lot of insight into that, why don’t you tell us what you know about David Miscavige.

MH: Well, from the time I showed up at Golden Era Productions in 1990, I had been there maybe a few months when I saw David Miscavige physically beat somebody up. And that was in 1990. So it’s not like this just developed over the past five years, there’s a pattern going on.

All the way up until I left in 2005 I’d say that I saw David Miscavige physically strike somebody or slap as you say or punch in the face, I’d say I witnessed myself at least thirty different occasions, myself. And I heard from other people second hand many more instances that occurred. That was the turning point was for me. In late 2004 I was walking through the main factory facility with David Miscavige and I had made a smart-alec comment in response to one of his questions, apparently he’d not had a good day already and my comment was not well received and he proceeded to unload on me.

He punched me in the face at least ten times and my glasses fell off, I was thrown up against a
desk unit, a counter top, and that was the moment right then when I realized I could go no further
down than this, to be beaten by the leader of my so-called church. What else could I do that could
get me in a lower status than that? And I decided that I would strike back. As soon as he saw that in
my eyes, I was grabbed and escorted out of the building and made to take a walk for about an hour
or so. He sent several people off to console me, that he really shouldn’t have done that and he was
really sorry. While I was being escorted out of the room I heard him say to his staffers, “He was
going to hit me back”.

And I thought to myself, “Do you know what? I really was, I really was going to hit you back”. At that point that I started figuring out what I was going to do because I wasn’t going to be staying there much longer. And in January 2005 I left. A lot of people, a lot of Scientologists think that Dave Miscavige is the savior of the church and all those things that he’s done have kept it alive, basically the reason they are still around. That might also be the reason why they’re not going to last, because of the crimes, the physical violence, the emotional and mental torture, that he puts people through, its mind-boggling.

A lot of people don’t believe, the stuff they read on the internet, that David Miscavige has done. When I got out of the Sea Org I couldn’t believe the amount of stuff that was on the internet that was absolutely, 100% accurate, of the going ons at the international headquarters or Int Base. So yeah, there’s a lot of stuff on the internet and it’s absolutely true, pretty much I’d say 99% of it is very accurate.

David, while not a “minister” at the Church, is certainly the person who sets policy, creates initiatives and leads his “parish.” By virtue of Miscavige’s role as head of a “religious organization” it is entirely appropriate to set standards of conduct upon him befitting of someone who leads such a wealthy organization. An organization mind you, which prides itself on ethical mores, spiritual guidance and has taken the charge of “obliterating psychiatry,” saving mankind, and ultimately “clearing the planet” of undesirable elements which keep us as a species from becoming enlightened.

Do you suppose Pope Benedict XVI punches, slaps and abuses his flock? Does the Dali Lama do this? What about high ranking Rabbis, Ministers, Reverends and spiritual leaders around the world? Today while sitting in my own house of worship, I tried imagining the leader of my faith doing this. It was laughable, inconceivable.

This man, who cradles babies with the love of a father to all, the person who smiles upon me and all those who stood with me as though the very light of divinity shone through me, and those in my fellowship. This person who asked kindly for my donations to continue their good works, but smiled just as benevolently upon me as they did upon those who couldn’t give. This person who feels their offering of salvation on behalf of their chosen faith, is predicated on the example they set, based on teachings which are thousands of years old. This person wouldn’t dare think it was appropriate to treat another member of their congregation or any other human the way David Miscavige has treated his dedicated Sea Org members as described above.

I wish this were the worst of it, but sadly, the sadism and cruelty is even worse than the abuse Marc discusses above. Regardless of your faith, or lack thereof, we are all expected to treat each other with respect. But this behavior, witnessed first hand, is unforgivable coming from a leader of a so-called “religion.”

Coming up next….how David Miscavige tortured his staff, had members thrown in filthy lakes, and mentally abused and ridiculed his own associates.

Glosslip Exclusive Interview: Church Of Scientology Used As Private Dating Service For Tom Cruise

Cruise and Miscavige salute, all systems go for Operation: Hookup

Glosslip did a powerful interview with ex-Scientologist Marc Headley yesterday on Glosslip Radio. During that interview many major bombshells were dropped.

Headley, a Executive Director at the Church of Scientology’s video production branch, Golden Era Productions, worked closely wih RTC and CoS leader David Miscavige. Marc also worked with Tom Cruise during Tom’s sessions during his “pre-Clear” days. Marc Headley knows deep secrets about Scientology’s inner workings, and he’s committed to sharing them.

Here’s a portion of a transcription from the radio interview with Marc Headley, which can be heard here. In this portion, Marc explains how Church of Scientology leader David Miscavige helped set up a dating service using Church facilities and Church resources for Tom to find a new and suitable girlfriend/wife for their most high profile member after Cruise and Nicole’s public and difficult divorce:

Glosslip: Now you- are you you familiar with any stories related to- we won’t focus too much on Tom Cruise, although, you know, since you certainly have the knowledge, about- so he and Nicole divorced, and Tom’s alone- as we know from reading Andrew Morton’s book, Tom doesn’t like to be alone. Tom wants women in his life, you know, especially women he’s always surrounded by women, he always wants people around him, he doesn’t want to be lonely. Is there any truth to the rumour that David Miscavige and the Church of Scientology helped him find his next girlfriend, make sure that they were pro-Scientology? What do you think of those stories?

MH: Sure, those are absolutely true. We- well of course after Nichole, he was with Penelope, and then Penelope wouldn’t drop the Buddhism so he dropped her, and then he was going out with another girl I think her name was, Sophia Vergara.

Glosslip: Vergara?

MH: Right. And then basically, um, the thing with Sophia wasn’t going to work out. There was something about her or there was something that had happened or she did or something that was not going to be good if they were put under the microscope. So- Dave was constantly being called by Tom. And basically, Tom was in his ear, about how, you know, he’s gotta figure out what he’s going to do. You know, and basically, Dave was like “Why do I have to hear this?”. He tells his assistant, who is also his wife Shelly Miscavige to figure this out and basically handle it. What we ended up doing was, in Golden Era Productions we have a talent agency that works out of the celebrity center in Los Angeles.

And they basically do auditions for films and videos all the time, so a casting call went out to all the young 20-something Scientology actresses that there’s a Tom Cruise movie coming up you might be able to get a part in and we need you to come in for an audition. And they were basically asked a series of questions and these- all of these interviews were videoed. And those tapes, every day, were compiled and sent up to RTC. And we must have interviewed hundreds of Scientology actresses.

Glosslip: Anyone you want to name, specifically? Who was rejected?

MH: Oh, just- well then they were all rejected. Every single one of em was rejected.

Glosslip: By Tom, or by Scientology? I mean- who…

MH: We don’t know. They just went went up to RTC and that was it. We never heard. They didn’t- nobody said “ok this is the one, get her”, it was just, nothing. And then, this big head honcho guy from RTC, Greg Wilhere, who’s kind of like- used to be one of Dave’s- kind of like go-to guys, he is now suddenly like jet setting all over the place. He’s going off to New York, he’s going down to LA, and this is all from the Hemet facility. And he’s now taking interviews with high profile actresses. And that’s where you hear the stories about Scarlett [Johansson], and Jennifer Garner, because basically it was like Dave just said “If you had a list what would the list be? Let’s just basically go through what girls you’d like to be with.” And that was how that happened. The Katie Holmes..-

Bachelorettes 1, 2, 3

Glosslip: Can he not get a date on his own or it just the whole Scientology thing- we wanted a Scientology girlfriend? And was this his idea or was it David Miscavige’s idea?

MH: It was- it was basically mutual between em. They just were like “Hey, what can we do”, you know. And- and I left, in 2005, so obviously Katie Holmes was the one, and I think what happened on the Katie Holmes one was she had just recently, or at some point done a magazine interview that said she wanted to marry Tom Cruise. So-

Glosslip: Right.

MH: So how much more perfect can you get? She’s the perfect candidate. They just gotta like each other. And then sure enough-

Glosslip: Were you around, were you around for when she was first indoctrinated? There’s a story that- uh- and then we’ll move on from Tom Cruise because I know you got lots of actually pretty- even more interesting things than old..

MH: Well I’ll tell you this, I’ll tell you this. When Katie showed up years before that, there’s this girl that worked in- basically Tom Cruise’s camp, and she’s a Sea Org member, she’s part of the Church of Scientology’s- the, you know, the organization that runs the church. And her name is Jessica Rodriguez. Jessica Rodriguez is an auditor, and the reason that was with Tom is because she was giving security checks to Isabella and Conner Cruise, Tom Cruise’s two adopted children. These children were basically being interrogated on the e-meter whenever they were misbehaving or things weren’t going so well. They would get these metered interrogations from Jessica Rodriguez. So it seems kind of ironic that as soon as Katie gets into Tom’s camp suddenly her best friend is Jessica Rodriguez. And Jessica Rodriguez-

The only reason Jessica Rodriguez is Katie’s best friend is to get her through her auditing and her training. And someone who can be the eyes and ears of the church so they know who’s in Katie’s ear, and they can basically pick people off who are gonna, you know, foil that little plan of theirs. So that’s where Jessica Rodriguez comes in. Jessica Rodriguez is in the same camp as Tommy Davis and these other- basically handlers. That were with Tom. And they were the eyes and ears of David Miscavige. So if something happened they could say “this is the guy who’s doing X, Y and Z and then the Church can figure out how to deal with them. Or they can tell Tom how to deal with it. And then that’s literally- that’s- to this day, you’ve got Jessica Rodriguez and Tommy Davis working with each other at the Office of Special Affairs in Hollywood, right- yesterday. Yesterday those two were together.

Glosslip: They were together yesterday? Tommy- Tommy’s still in? I thought Tommy was demoted to scrubbing David Miscavige’s floor for screwing up that whole John Sweeney thing.

MH: That was the word on the street. He did disappear for many many moons, and then all of the sudden he just popped back up on the radar. So, yeah, I’m sure it’d be very interesting to ask Tommy where he’s been for the last year or so, but he’s definitely not been out in the news. And even now he’s not really out in the news. He’s a little bit behind the scenes. But both him and Jessica Rodriguez have been involved in recent handlings on what’s going down from OSA. So.

What’s so significant about this information is it is final confirmation of what Andrew Morton outlined in his book. Morton’s book, where I’ve gotten a vast portion of my information about Tom Cruise until now, stated Tom Cruise used the Church of Scientology as a screening process for any future girlfriends/spouses.

According to Marc, and confirmed by actor Jason Beghe, Tom Cruise dropped out of the Church for much of the 90’s after he had reached OT Level III and became disillusioned with the mechanistic self-help philosophy. OTIII is often referred to as “The Wall Of Fire” and it is this level where CoS members discover the Xenu phenomena and many people drop out finding the idea of ancient aliens trapped in our bodies as utterly implausible. It wasn’t until Nicole was out of Tom’s life when David Miscavige saw the opportunity to lure Tom Cruise back in, but this time, as the devout, fervent and somewhat unhinged man we see today.

Coming up…….how the Church of Scientology helped facilitate Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s divorce.

GLOSSLIP RADIO Exclusive: Ex-Scientologist Marc Headley, Friday, April 25th, 1:00pm EDT

This has been the most explosive week ever for Glosslip Radio in our continued crusade to expose the abuses of the Church of Scientology. Already this week we’ve interview two of the top anti-CoS critics in the world, Andreas Heldal-Lund of Xenu.net (Operation Clambake) and Mark Bunker of Xenutv.com, as well as the incredibly powerful Jeff Hawkins, a 35-year vet of Scientology who had some very damaging things to say about CoS leader, David Miscavige.

To top it all off, we have Marc Headley, a name many of you may know for sharing some very sensitive details about the CoS, David Miscavige and the inner world of Tom Cruise, whom world-famous author Andrew Morton claims is the 2nd in command at the Church of Scientology in his NYT best-selling book, Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography.

CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO THE SHOW!

Marc and I spoke about his experiences and one of the intriguing details he revealed to me, was the amount of time he spent with Tom Cruise, and how he was audited by the world-famous actor during Cruise’s “pre-Clear” training in the org. Marc also had the “honor” of being one of the few people favored by CoS leader David Miscavige during his tenure with the Church and had an intimate view of the man so few of us really know and understand.

As Marc described it, he was close to Miscavige until one day the Scientology church leader, turned on him and beat him in the face several times. This is when Marc snapped and had decided it was time to give Miscavige a taste of his own medicine, but was quickly ushered off the premises and unceremoniously disassociated from the Church of Scientology. When Marc told me this incident, it was clearly a pivotal moment in his tenure with the CoS:

“He saw in my eyes that I had turned, reached the point of no return and was going to hurt him back. Fortunately for David, there were several other members in the room and I was quickly throw off the grounds.”

Here’s Marc’s bio:

Marc Headley worked at the Scientology International Management Headquarters in Gilman Hot Springs, CA from 1990-2005, working for the media production company owned by the Church of Scientology, Golden Era Productions.

After many years of working in the Manufacturing, Audio, & Cinematography Divisions, Marc ultimately became the Executive Producer at Golden Era Productions.

In early 2005 Marc left Scientology and started his own business. Marc and his wife of 15 years live in California with their two boys, Kaleid - 2 years old and Kaiden - 7 weeks old. Marc has appeared on radio programs and in magazine articles all over the world exposing the activities of the church that go on behind closed doors at the International Headquarters of Scientology.

Is Tom Cruise Film “Valkyrie” The Latest Victim Of Anonymous Campaign Against Scientology

Valkyrie Still, or OSA meeting? You decide.

Tom Cruise has been quiet lately, a little too quiet for a guy with a movie to release.

Cruise’s WWII film, Valkyrie, has been delayed once more - this news broke almost two weeks ago. The media cited MGM excuses related to the film not wanting to compete with other major film releases. Here’s the details from Huffington Post:

Tom Cruise’s World War II thriller “Valkyrie” has pushed back its release date to 2009, the second postponement for a production that has endured its share of headaches.

The MGM release has been moved from October 3 to February 13, coinciding with the U.S. Presidents Day holiday weekend. Last December, it was pulled from its original July 4 holiday weekend berth where it would have competed with the Angelina Jolie thriller “Wanted.”

“When an opening became available for President’s Day Weekend, we seized the opportunity,” said MGM distribution president Clark Woods, referring to Universal’s recent decision to pull “The Wolf Man” out of that slot and into April 3.

“Valkyrie” is the true story of a German officer, played by Cruise, who tried to assassinate Hitler. The German government initially banned the production from shooting on location at the Berlin site where the plot was hatched and the conspirators executed. It later changed its mind after months of national debate that focused in part on Cruise’s Scientology beliefs.

This is not the only scandal that has plagued this film, Yahoo News has more background to this doomed project:

The German government initially banned the production from shooting on location at the Berlin site where the plot was hatched and the conspirators executed. It later changed its mind after months of national debate that focused in part on Cruise’s Scientology beliefs.

Some of the footage shot at the site was later damaged during processing, requiring re-shoots. Last August, 10 extras were injured when they fell off the back of a truck during shooting in Berlin.

The movie is being produced by MGM’s United Artists banner, which Cruise runs with business partner Paula Wagner. UA’s debut release under the new regime, the Cruise vehicle “Lions for Lambs,” bombed at the box office last November.

Tom Cruise, like the Church of Scientology he shills for, can’t catch a break. While the mainstream media continues to tip-toe and pussy-foot around the “real” story, those of us who’ve followed the internet movement of anti-Scientology sentiment fronted by Anonymous realize Valkyrie is poised to be the staging ground of massive failure. The film itself is not the issue (although it looks pretty tepid), but rather the studio execs (likely pressured by the CoS) do not want to create the tremendous opportunity for Anonymous to stage world-wide headline making press. Nothing like chants at a red carpet event to cause an uproar — or worse — at movie theaters around the world. The mind boggles at the possibilities.

There’s intel in the pipeline something big is going to blow for the Church of Scientology. While I can’t confirm these reports, suffice it to say, CoS infiltration into Hollywood’s darkest corners have lost their grip. Those willing to protect the CoS interests and their “celeb” stable have grown weary and with all all the pressure of Anonymous and the Old Guard of anti-CoS leaders, the public is starting to get wind that something is rotten in the land of LaLa.

I predict big-time players in Hollywood who have a beef with the CoS will follow their conscience and refuse to “play the game” with David Miscavige and “blow the lid” off of the CoS.

This is critical mass time Anonymous, your strategy, your diligence and your courage to go up against an organization which is run more like an international crime syndicate, than a religious group, has come to fruition. Glosslip predicts Valkyrie will never be released as they keep waiting and waiting for Anonymous to go away.

Silly cult, tricks are for kids.

Happy Birthday Suri! My Wish For You Is…..

Dear Little Suri,

Well, well you are such a big girl now. The big #2! I bet your parents are so proud of you. All around the world we’ve watch you grow into a beautiful, little, young lady and we watch with such interest. Your daddy is a very big movie star and your mommy is a charming young woman. I’ve read in some places that your mom and dad don’t agree on what your future should be. Sometimes parents do that. But don’t worry, because I know for certain your mom and dad love you more than anything in the world.

Despite all the things you might see and hear in your world, those of us on the outside care about you and I have a special wish just for you. I wish that when you grow up you are blessed with an uncommonly insightful mind which uses logic and reason to make choices which in your heart you know are right. I wish for your mommy to be strong and courageous and help your father see that some things are not as they seem, and maybe he should look deep inside himself for the true answer to the mysteries in life he seeks but has yet to find. Maybe through you, he will find this.

I think your dad really loves your mother, how could he not; she’s warm, sweet and a good mommy.

Suri, I must be honest with you though, I think your dad is confused and is mixed up with people who don’t care about him for the right reasons and have used him for their own purposes.

Your dad needs lots of hugs and kisses from you, Connor and Isabella. Don’t forget your mom too, give her lots of hugs and kisses too.

I will keep hoping and praying for you Suri. I will pray for your mom and dad too.

Happy Birthday!
XOXOXO

TomKat Trouble? Who Will Get Suri If Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes Divorce?

Star magazine, though not your most reliable source for celeb news, is reporting that Katie Holmes may be considering a trial separation from her husband Tom Cruise. Wading through the rumors can be challenging, but there are certain aspects of these “rumors” which resonate with me as a celeb journalist with a penchant for understanding the complicated and bizarre nature of Scientology and the hold it has on its celeb spokesperson, Tom Cruise.

Tom Cruise is a controlling, tightly wrapped person who pays attention to every detail. This applies especially to the women in his life. Cruise doesn’t so much “court” his women, but rather “stalks” them. Katie is no exception. In Andrew Morton’s biography, which is a close as we’re going to get into the inner core of Cruise’s life, Cruise is described as an overly romantic pursuer who chases his conquests until they submit. With Nicole Kidman, his second wife, he showered her with flowers, gifts, and excessive attention throughout their entire 10-year marriage. While from the outside this seems ideal, to the object of Tom’s affection, it’s nothing short of overwhelming.

If Nicole was under tight watch and Cruise still managed to lose her (or leave her when she wasn’t towing the line) we can only imagine what Tom’s done to Katie, a woman much younger, far less sure of herself and clearly more impressionable than the “ice queen” Nicole was.

The Daily Telegraph (quoting Star) lays out the trouble in the TomKat union:

Star magazine also claims that Holmes, 29, is trying to break away from her controlled life under the watchful eyes of her husband and move to Manhattan in what will be a sort of trial separation.

A source told the publication: “She desperately needs to be on her own for a while, but there’s no way Tom is going to let her take Suri away.”

“There’s no way he’ll allow it.

“He just doesn’t want Katie or Suri out of his sight for long.

“He told her that if she goes to New York, fine, but he goes with her.”

It is understood the couple’s tug of war over their daughter has intensified.

There are also reports Tom’s tried to interfere in the close friendship between Katie and Victoria Beckham. Unlike Katie, Victoria aka “Posh” is fiercely independent and is the one running the show in her house of all boys. The alleged issues stem from Katie’s weight and dieting habits which are said to parallel the stick-thin Beckham’s. Not stated, but certainly at play, is the idea that someone other than Tom is influencing Katie. One thing’s clear about Tom “either you’re in, or you’re out” Cruise and that is: on team Tom, there’s only one head coach.

So let’s just assume for the sake of argument that Katie has had enough of Tom’s death-grip on her life and is ready to break free, what would happen to Suri?

But wait, there’s more…

Glosslip Exclusive: Andrew Morton On Book Ban: “Vietnam, Serbia and China sell my book, but not the UK?”

British biographer Andrew Morton is synonymous with controversy. He’s also synonymous with “NYT bestseller,” and making publishing companies rich, yet for some reason (and we know the reason) he can’t catch a break in his home country. For a place known for exposing some of the most slanderous tabloid journalism, the UK sure is frightened of Scientology and Tom Cruise.

Several outlets are reporting on the continued banning of sales on Morton’s book on Cruise in the UK. The Independent points to the harsh libel laws in the country as the reason for the ban:

The American public lapped up the series of lurid accusations contained within, British readers were forced to wait while the book’s UK publishers removed any passages that might be deemed anything approaching libellous. Now it appears that Morton’s latest offering, Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography, may never be printed this side of the Atlantic. Sources at Macmillan told a Sunday newspaper that by the time lawyers had finished deleting any potentially libelous passages there was “not enough left to make a good read”.

Morton spoke with Glosslip exclusively about this latest development and he’s clearly unimpressed with the UK’s decision to ban any publication or sales of his latest NYT’s bestseller: Tom Cruise, An Unauthorized Biography:

I am thrilled that my Tom Cruise biography was a number one New York Times bestseller - my fourth NY Times number one during my writing career. It is for sale in Vietnam,Serbia and China - not countries known for allowing free of expression. Yet in Britain it cannot be sold because of my country’s repressive legal system. The gagging of freedom of speech and expression in Britain and the willingness of judges to pay huge settlements to plaintiffs means that Britain is a haven for libel tourists and sharp lawyers. In an increasingly flat world where information is freely available to the rest of the world apart from Britain this will be a growing problem for authors and publishers.

When we met with Morton a couple weeks ago in New York, we discussed how the distribution of this book had been hampered by its ties to the Church of Scientology, who lists Tom Cruise as their most famous (and now infamous) spokesperson. Morton even indicated the American media’s reticence to do interviews about the book simply out of fear of retribution from Scientology lawyers.

Cruise’s lawyer and close friend, Bert Fields, publicly criticized the book for being poorly researched stating Morton spoke with no one in Cruise’s inner circle. Initially the Cruise camp threatened to sue Morton and and his publisher St. Martin’s press for $50 million. As of yet, no lawsuits have been filed. With over two years of Morton’s life dedicated to exploring Tom Cruise — easily one of the most recognizable figures in the world — and the faith he public shills for, Morton bristled at the notion he would be unable to distribute this book in the UK.

Clearly Tom Cruise, his lawyers and the Church of Scientology’s litigious tentacles have reached across the pond and have publishers cowering. In reality, Tom Cruise should be shaking Andrew Morton’s hand for finally crushing all of the homosexual rumors dogging Cruise for years. You’d think the guy would be a little more appreciative. So much for gratitude.
