And who says Britney isn't talented? It takes a lot of effort to chew gum, dance, strut like ho, lip-synch and piss off the last remaining vestiges of your fan base, y'all. Let's hear it for Britney!!!!

***Applause***

Pardon my sarcasm, but one would expect her to not repeat and deplete for her second performance (last night, House of Blues Anaheim) after all the criticism she received for her first show, but alas, this is Britney "I don't need no stinking management, rehab, stylist, hair, talent" Spears we're talking about.

She did learn one thing from her previous House Of Blues show in San Diego: no recording devices of any kind. People reports:

Security was tighter in Anaheim – it took the crowd nearly two hours to get through the metal detectors – with guards seizing cell phones in an apparent reaction to the flood of pictures and videos of the San Diego show on the Internet.

Oh, like we want to relive the previous night's atrocities against humanity. Thanks for doing that bit of kindness Brit and Co. But for those who think that a performer gets better after each performance, think again. Here's some recaps cobbled together for your enjoyment:
Like the San Diego show, the set was a short medley of Spears's hits, with "I'm a Slave 4 U" following "Hit Me" and the crowd showering the pop star with shouts of approval each time she wiggled her hips. (Notably, she was also able to chew gum while performing.)

Spears dropped her fur coat to the floor for the final song, "Toxic," and smiled as she mouthed the words.

Her "Do Something" routine included some air guitar, a lot of the hands-on-hips hip thrusts and a brief homage to the running man dance move.

Kelly Weston of Orange County said "She was a little off, a little slower than her dancers. If I hadn't heard about last night I would probably be disappointed."

Gawd, that sounds just like the Bruce Springsteen concert I went to '99. It was totally awesome too. Except Bruce played for 3 hours straight, did two encores and sang his songs live and played guitar and stuff. Other than that it was THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE.
